Went inside to schedule an oil change for my Chrysler. I was quoted $90.00! Never have I been quoted that much. Kunes country service department turned out to be cheaper and that included a multi point inspection. They had a chance to gain a customer but lost one right from the start.

Outstanding customer service!! My car would not start, even after attempting to jump it. The manager went out of his way to help me get it into the shop. This is the second time I have brought my car here, and both times I was very pleased with how helpful they were. This is definitely the place I will go when needing work on my car in the future! They do a wonderful job!!

I made an appointment to have an oil change online 3 days prior to taking it to be serviced. I walk in and told the worker that I have an appointment for an oil change. The worker took my name and said that he didnt have me on their list. I showed him my confirmation email and he said the earliest he could do is the next day. I told him I need it done today that is why I made an appointment so far ahead of time. I took my vehicle to another mechanic and they fit me in to have my oil changed immediately. Bad service by Car-x. If I cant trust making an appointment then you lost my service today and in the future.

Price is deceptive. Advertise something and final charge amount is different. Appointment time is accurate.

My daughters call broke down I paid to have it towed 100 miles to that shop because they said they could get her in the next day...... 3 days later they never touched the car. I called the manager and the district manager and they didn’t care enough to even call me back... they assumed because my kid was a college student that they could mis treat and talk to her any kind of way... they didn’t know she had parents that would drive 5 hours to handle this drama... stay away WIU students they will scam you and not fix your car !!

I took my crown Victoria in there for new abs sensor and they stole my police chip and didnt think i would notice dont take anything there.

Needed brake work done and they were able to schedule me in only a few days out. I was able to get in, get a quote, and get services within 2 hours which is what they estimated when I made the appt. Staff is upfront and friendly. So far, my brakes are running smoothly!

Don’t do business with them. I trusted them to do my oil change couple weeks later my engine blew out.

I went here in July. All I wanted was an oil change and a tire rotation. When I got my car back, it was very low on transmission fluid and way too full of oil. Theyre either grossly incompetent, or they were just trying to mess with me to get me to spend more money. Definitely avoid these people. I used to come here years ago for tires, but something has changed. I will never go back.

Only gave 1 star cause I had to, asked to have air pressure checked, she gave short of help excuse, and said they could do it in 3 hours. Went to another shop they did it immediately for free (Moore tires)

I was next door at the gas station and one of my tires was completely flat. This was at 4:55p exactly. When I looked it up their hrs said they were open until 6p. I called them and the lady who answered the phone said that she would ask and came back on and said they couldnt help me because all of their tire techs had already punched out. This was at exactly 5.This place will never have my business nor any of my families. Very bad business practice and obviously very misleading to potential customers

Brought my vehicle in for repair, as it had problems starting. Upon receiving my repaired vehicle back, it would only start and run if I continued to keep my foot on the gas, and it still died on me 3 times driving it back home. I will never pay for service here again.

Gary was professional and courteous. Everything was explained at a customer level of understanding. I recommend using this business.

We were there recently to have the oil changed in our van. We live out of state so it was necessary to get it done quickly before we had to go back home. I pretty much had a walk in appointment and the oil change only took 30 - 40 minutes. I would highly recommend going to Car-X

In my job interview the district manager said I would have a review and raise in 90 days then when all there other techs quit I was the only tech in the shop and asked for a raise the district manager Allen Davis said no I couldnt have 1 until I was there a year! Every time an employee would contact him he wouldnt answer the make the techs sell customers stuff they dont need they are very unprofessional and I do not recommend any business to car x in macomb illinois! I hope the go out of business! They only tell you what you want to hear!

Aaron and his staff are amazing. I had 2 of my vehicles down and they fixed them both for me the same day! Actually in a few hours AND they were busy as well. They did not put me off, they cared about and wanted to fix my situation. I will never go anywhere else for vehicle repair. On both appointments to have new tires put on I had to wait an additional 30 to 45 min after time stated it would be done. On the second visit I watched the tech remove the tire installed on the first trip due to it being put on backwards. Another tech stood in the show room telling me how stupid the guy was that was working on my car

We had my car worked on at Walmart and several issues started to appear afterward. Car X got us in quickly and corrected the issues. We’ll definitely be using their services from here on out! I recommend trying them out too!

Decent service. Is what I wish I could say about the poorly managed CARX aka Monroe muffler inc. as a previous customer and employee I could not in good conscious recommend this business to anyone. Although the lady working the office has the best customer service the service in the shop itself is lacking and under qualified at this time and until the regional manager finds a new home it will stay that way as there employees are under paid and expected to over preform. If they keep hiring people with little to no qualifications and or experience then it will eventually meet its own demise. I hope others have a better opportunity

Pretty good auto repair, good at what the do, fair prices and easy to talk to. They also keep good records so if u need info from several yrs back they can tell y what u need to know.But they are not perfect. After checking air on all tires including the spare they forgot to reset the the controls and I didnt catch until nearly home. I had to turn around and go back. They discovered their error quickly and told me up front they had goofed and apologized. I contend them for their hosesty!.

I showed up with a flat tire. There was one guy working and be said there was nothing he could do for me for 2 hours because all the mechanics where just out. Why was they open? What was he doing there? Regardless it was a simple flat tire nobody could help me with for 2 hours. Bad

Aaron took care of us when we came in from out of town. Needed an oil change and he bent over backwards to make sure we were well taken care of, and fit us in!

The woman working in the front was very polite, the employees seemed very knowledgeable, and my oil change was completed within a half hour.However, today I went in to get my coolant checked since it has been leaking and was told there was nothing that could be done since the person who checks coolant pressure was not in. That normally wouldnt be an issue except that it was obvious where the leak was coming from. As much as I enjoy their service, this may be the last time I use their services.

I took my girlfriends vehicle in for an oil change last week. The service itself was fine but the cleanliness of the mens restroom was terrible. The restroom was dirty, actually filthy. I decided not to use it while there. It also smelled of urine and the floors, sink and walls were dirty. The toilet itself had urine all over it. I will most likely get work done there again because the price is great but will never use the restrooms.

Took vehicle to Moores and they said over a 3 hour wait to fix a tire. Tried Carx and they got me right in even though they were very busy. Only took 30 minutes!! The Manager even scanned my computer and found another issue which will be taken care of later. The best auto service Ive had.

Can i rate them more then 5 stars? Where do i begin. Well first with the manager aaron. He is beyond knowledgeable super friendly and outgoing. He goes above and beyond to get you what you need. I went in for new tires amd a oilchange for my truck. He got me the best fit tires that are aggressive tread but dont hum going down the road. I asked for a visual inspection as im leaving town and his tech gary did it right away he let me know of my trucks issues and we set up a appointment to get them taken care of before i leave town. Aaron also treats carx like a hotel. He is constantly cleaning it and making sure other customers are ok or if they need anything. He doesnt try to upsale you to make a quota he will sale you what doesnt break the bank. After my experience here i refuse to go anywhere else. If you havent been here yet be sure you go. Car-X in Macomb has always given me great service at a good price and has never tried to talk me into repairs that I didnt need. Stephanie and the manager are kind, attentive and never try to high pressure you into purchasing what you can do without. They are punctual and the bill is always exactly what they tell you it will be.

If you are rich this place is great and friendly. If you are not shop around and save 1/2 or more the cost sometimes by going somewhere else. They wanted $600 to fix my power steering line and it turned out to be a $35 fix at another shop because it wasn’t the whole line it was an o-ring

Been there several times for problems. Havent had a bad experience yet. Thought I had a coolant leak, they determined that there wasnt one, and didnt charge for the pressure check they did. Comfortable waiting area and a short walk to several nearby restaurants and shops doesnt hurt to help pass the time, either.

On Wednesday it was about 30 below zero. My tires were very low. I stopped at a couple gas stations and their air hoses weren’t working. I stopped at another shop and they told me it would be a couple hours, to get air??? I stopped at CarX to see if they could help me. I was greeted by Brian who immediately helped me. A service guy in the shop pulled my Civic in and checked all tires and put air in them. They also noticed my wiper blade had come off which they fixed all at no charge. Brian went way beyond what he had to do to help me out. I WILL be going there from now on.

This place is pretty quick and affordable with their service, that being said they lack quality! Today I went in with concerns other than my oil change and tire rotation (power steering fluid, tires, brakes, etc). So upon the end of my service they hand me a unfilled service inspection sheet, and give me my total. When asking about the other issues, I received very little feed back and had to actually request to see the notes about my car that pertained to future problems. I wanted and needed a quality inspection and feed back after they looked at it, and I did not get that. Instead I got a total and a desk lady uninterested in my questions or concerns. I even voiced wanting more checks and services done in the future and she did not care to seek out any additional help or resources. In the future I will definitely consider my options in the Macomb area that will actually provide feedback and quality advice to the wellbeing of my vehicle.

Car-X is the best place to go period. Both the costumer service, and car service is A+. Everyone is friendly and ready to help. They will always have my business.

CARX has always given me outstanding service. I have a 2002 Toyota Corolla with 230,116 miles on it. They remind me so that I dont forget to keep the vehicle serviced. As a result, I have spent almost nothing on service other than oil and oil filer changes.My service is also performed at the pre-arranged time. I do not sit for an hour or more waiting on a scheduled service to be completed. This is another major reason why I do business with them.

I am a college student that went to car x for a simple tire patch. After letting them look at my car, the next time I was spoken too I was handed a paper with estimations for brand new tires, accumulating over $800. I was told my tire could not be patched, and in addition I need 4 brand new tires. Being confused and skeptical, due to getting brand new tires last year, I went to Goodyear in Macomb, along with 2 other car shops. All three car shops reassured me I do NOT need 4 new tires, I got my original tire patched (the one they claimed was unable to be patched) and was on my way after $17 without issue . I do not suggest Car X, at all. I went in for a $25 tire patch (Goodyears is $17) and was handed estimates for over $800.

I like to work on my own vehicle.

I went to Car-X for an alignment and was told that it would be $70. Two hours later I received a phone call that it needed 3 camber adjustment bolts at $95 a peice and $135 dollars in additional labor totaling $515 with tax. They also suggested that the car needed a new donut gasket and weld around the flex pipe for $395. The place is overpriced and tries to take advantage of unknowning people.
