I had been having the roughest time with finding a car and just so happen to see a post on Facebook marketplace. I ended up messaging Josh the sales guy and sent in my proof of income and residency. I drove there and exactly an hour and 8 minutes later, I was driving away on the car I saw and wanted and am very satisfied. Thank you Josh and Alec of American Car Center of Athens.

One star is too generous for this company.I wrote a Facebook review and they hid it.Do not go here! I sat for almost 4 hours on yesterday.I provided proof of my income but nothing was good enough apparently.I was waiting to hear back after submitting documents.The computer the salesman used couldnt even print what I had provided via email.I was contacted by the salesperson the following day to resubmit the documents already provided.At 2 pm I had never received a response. I placed a call back only,to be disrespected by the finance manager.If I had I not called back no one probably would have followed upPlease take your money to someone who treats you like a person not a potential victim.

My wife and I went in on 4/13/21 to look at a Chevy Trax that she was very interested in. I was willing to pay a certain amount down payment in order to get the vehicle I was very comfortable with the monthly payments and proceeded to fill out an application. Since they do in-house financing my credit was not checked. After countless hours of waiting, I came to find out that I do not meet the requirement down payment and had to put almost $2000 to $3000 down more than I was willing to put down. I make enough money and was denied. I went to Carmax before this and I was able to put down $1000 for a down payment on a 2018 Chevy Impala with monthly payments at $275. I’m going back and taking that deal!

Very bad experience. Had the car for a whole month. Got work done on the car. They hounded me for days on in for paperwork which was provided and accurate. Which almost cause me to lose a job. They took the car in the night after telling me all was well with the car while business was closed in hopes to get nothing resolved. Called the next day and got lie after lie. So they will force you to do what you have to do legally.Theres no way to contact a real corporate person. Its transfer and hold, transfer and hold all day. No worries though. Somebody WILL be talking and giving real answers soon the lies Im getting. Cool. Always more than one way to get results!!

So I was diagnosed with covid 19 on April 29, 2020 and been in the hospital every since. I spoke to a rep on may 6 and informed her what had happen. My father called back June 27 and told them I was still in the hospital. Today I was cleared and said all of my results came back negative and I’m now covid 19 free and I was discharged. Tell me why I walk outside to my car to go home and my car is disabled. I call American car center and they told me they wasn’t activating the vehicle until I made a payment. Now I’m sitting outside the hospital trying to find a ride home. Whatever you do PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE. They are inconsiderate and don’t car about nobody especially in these times.

I will never refer another person to them! Shady business. Had to apologize to my referral bc they mislead her smh. On top of that i never got 2 referral checks for bringing them business think thats false advertising as well.

The staff there are really nice amhad is very helpful an Jason is to but its the finance company. They work with you but they are mad disrespectful as well they will cut your car off after you have spoken with them they threaten you an all... Also the cars are over priced like hell my Kelly blue book is only 7,000-10,000 but Im paying 24,000 for a used car that had 60,000miles on it and they messed up my credit I pay one thing but on my credit it say I pay 501... Which is a lie

I will say I’m disappointed. I’ve had my vehicle for 6 days and the check engine light is already on. The staff is friendly but I received a lot of misinformation throughout the process of my deal. The staff is friendly, and I did contact the manager who assured me he would give me the information I needed regarding where to take my vehicle on Monday. However, seeing that it’s Christmas Eve, that will probably be the furthest thing from my mind as well as theirs as they may not even be open. Although I can appreciate the sincerity in the several apologies I’ve received for the obstacles I’ve endured, it does not compensate for my wasted time nor receiving a vehicle that has mechanical issues. Great thing is that I do have a three year warranty, but that doesn’t do any good when you’ve purchased a car you can’t drive so thank goodness I’m fortunate to have other vehicles at my disposal. I can’t in good faith recommend this dealership although I really wanted to initially. Friendly or not one thing I don’t play about is my money.

This was the worse place I have ever tried to inqiure about buying a car. It was all a mystery, nonone could give me a price on a car. Let me text drive a car I didnt want. The car I wanted they couldnt tell me how much and I couldnt drive it because they only had 1 key??? How many keys does it take to crank a car?? If there were a ----- star .I would have given them a thang

I havent even been to this lot. But its so hard to even get a price quote on a vehicle online or over the phone. You can send an inquiry over the website on a vehicle, they call you back and say you need to come in. 🙄 All I need is a price quote. Any question or inquiry they act as if they cant answer it over the phone. You need to come in for EVERYTHING. So inconvenient. Needless to say, they wont be one of my choices when car shopping. Just for the lack of ease in pertaining simple information.
