Disclaimer: I went in to buy a car with very few credit options and we didn’t examine the car very carefully and I was fully aware that we were buying it as is.we went in about a month ago & we were shown 2 used vehicle options. Our salesman Nate, seemed very nice, very honest, very wanting to make it easy on us. When he showed us the vehicle we bought, immediately I noticed that the car‘s back bumper was loose, kind of hanging and since we had a similar problem with the vehicle we were trading I immediately honed in on that. He told us that he and some other Hyundai employees had noticed that and figured somehow the previous owner had broken the clips. I noticed a few small cosmetic issues on the driver‘s side. When we got in for a test drive & started the car you could hear a lot of rocks, or dirt or something in something under the hood. Nate Said he’d have them vacuum it out when they detailed the car. They didn’t do that and it was the worst detail job I’ve ever seen. It took about 10 minutes. That evening all of a sudden I noticed long scratches on the passenger’s side bumper and the running light on that side was loose and just hanging in its housing. I answered an email asking about our experience so I responded and then I talked to one of the employees. Then I talked to Nate after his day off and told him about it and he said that other than us buying glue & bringing it to the dealership and he’d try to help us glue the back bumper in place, they wouldn’t do anything because we had bought it “as is”.Other problems that have shown their ugly head is that the trash in the exhaust or air conditioning system is some kind of bird feed that blows in the front seat every time you start the car. There has also been varying degrees of a rotting body smell in the car even though I recently put 2 fridge packs of baking soda in the car. I’ve hypothesized that whoever the previous owner is, they had a wreck with some animal, knocked the bumper loose, scratched up the front bumper or fender & knocked the light loose & then traded the car.We’re having to pay a huge amount for this vehicle and while I am partially to blame for not examining the car better, going in desperate to buy, I also feel like they’re business practices aren’t very honest and that they knew at the dealership about the issues and probably about whatever wreck it was in, but didn’t tell us. Nor did the salesman point out any of the physical issues or say anything about the car having been wrecked. I believe that we had the stereotypical car buying experience there. The kind that gives car dealers a bad name, a bad reputation. I come from a large family line of car dealers. I should have known better.

Getting my car from Hyundai was easily one of the worst mistakes I have ever made. If you read this review, I beg you to go anywhere else for a vehicle. Toyota is right across the street. I believe the salesman I worked with when getting my car was Nate. Everything seemed fine at first, my problems with Hyundai unfortunately started after I signed the papers. When looking my car up online, I saw that it had been in an accident. Keep in mind, I asked Nate if this car had ever been in an accident before agreeing to buy it. He said no, and when I told him what I had found online, he said that it must have been a mistake and assured me that this car was not in an accident. Fast forward to last week, I have paid my car off and am looking to sell it as I just don’t really use it anymore. I know dealerships are short on cars right now and was hoping I’d make back most of what I spent on the car, minus interest of course. I called Hyundai first. I believe I spoke to a woman named Lisa who repeated that Hyundai was offering top dollar for used vehicles. I set up an appointment and drove an hour to be offered $5,000 less than top dollar for my car. I know what my car is worth and was appalled at the price I was offered. I couldn’t understand why they had thrown out such a low number. I know dealerships need to make money too, but nobody was even willing to work with me. I drove an hour with a car I’m trying to sell to be offered nowhere near the “top dollar” I was promised on the phone. I left, still in disbelief. A very nice lady at Toyota was working with my aunt and I stopped by to see how things were going. She was interested in my trouble with Hyundai and also couldn’t believe the price they offered me. She asked to look at my car and I let her. She looked up the VIN and you will never guess what she found! My car WAS in an accident. Hyundai lied to my face TWICE about this. Toyota ended up offering me way more than Hyundai did for my car, despite the accident. TOYOTA GAVE ME MORE FOR MY HYUNDAI THAN HYUNDAI. Overall, I have learned that I absolutely hate being lied to and will never step foot in Hyundai ever again. Thanks for nothing. Take your business elsewhere, Toyota will take care of you.

Shelby Parker was my service representative. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The service was quick. Very welcoming and clean environment.

Service replaced a Nu 1.8 engine under factory warrenty and they let my car leave the shop with a squeezed out valve cover gasket and oil was seeping down the engine and told me I had to get a compression test for them to pay the 100$ to replace gasket; I replaced the gasket instead of paying a 100$ for a compression test when you could clearly see in the picture that its squeezed out. Waited til the last day to call me and tell me the old spark plugs and serpentine belt would be put on the new engine and then wanted to charge me for labor and new parts when they already had the engine tore apart. The 1st and 2nd picture are the valve cover gasket they did and the 3rd picture is the broken spark plug connection the yellow piece is gone as you can see in the 6th picture what it is supposed to look like. The 4th and 5th picture is the replaced valve cover gasket

I love my new car but I over paid. If that is where my experience ended this would still be a 4 start review. They were supposed to install a trailer hitch the week after purchase, but they kept telling me it was back ordered. Now after more than 10 months the paid me $250 in lew of having the hitch installed. Now they are saying they threw away my bike rack. The reason I needed the hitch is so I can use a tray style bike rack to transport higher end bikes.This place has been a horrible experience, I doubt I will ever attempt to do business with them again. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

This past weekend, we went up to Hyundai to trade in my lease for a new lease. Our first experience was amazing so we were hoping to have the same experience again. We did not leave disappointed. From start to finish, With Tony, Jim and Eli and some great commentary from Radar, we had so much fun. That is exactly how buying/leasing is supposed to be. We left with a 2021 Tucson. I thought my 2019 was amazing. This one is even better!

Very friendly great experience

Vehicle was done quicker than I expected. Work seemed to have been done correctly. Just mudflaps. Only negative I would say is the driver side floor mat was quite dirty. Did not appear a paper mat was used to protect the mat. If you dont use these you should in my opinion. I cannot remember the last time I had a vehicle in for any sort of work that those disposable mats where not used.

I bought a vehicle from here and I’ve only had it for a year and spent a lot of extra money on an extended warranty which they talked me into. They told me when I bought the car I could refinance it in a year so I made an appointment to refinance with the dealer ship and they told me they could help when I called. I drove an hour and 40 minutes and they asked me if I wanted to buy a new car with cheaper payments and I said no I want to refinance my loan and they said they couldn’t help me with that. So I drove all the way there to be told when they could’ve told me over the phone. And they were pressuring me into buying a new vehicle when I didn’t need one. They just want to push people into buying extended warranties and to buying newer vehicles every year. If I wanted a new vehicle in a year I would’ve leased the car.

This is my second car leased from Hyundia and I have them do all service work. They were helpful in looking at the 2 cars I was considering. I thought sure it would be the Elantra. It seemed nice but it was quite different from the Sonata Sel I was driving. So the brought a very dark grey 2021 Sonata Sel. All I did was to sit down in the drivers seat, and in less than 2 seconds I said Ill take it, never even drove it until papers signed and on my way home.

James Plyum stopped by and politely invited me to look into trading my vehicle in for a new one while I was having my used car serviced. I honestly didn’t expect the offer to be within range of my affordability and was already planning to decline the offer before I even heard what it was. Surprisingly, it was exactly what I could afford and James was very honest with me and upfront from start to finish. Josh Thorpe did the financing and found me a great warranty and even managed to get my down payment and monthly payment lowered after I had already agreed to both. Nathaniel Houle helped entertain my children and kept them occupied while we worked on paperwork. Everything went way smoother than expected and James was very transparent throughout the entire process. Josh saved me money and Nathaniel was great with my kids!

I got my car stolen. I went to Hyundai of Mankato and these guys bent over backwards to get me into a new vehicle. worked with me and lenders for 3 weeks and got it done. James and Josh were fantastic. I will be back!

This is THE WORST dealership I have ever had to deal with. They do not answer the phone, they do not call you back, tried leaving a voicemail with the woman I am working with and her voice mailbox was full. They forget paperwork or they do not even know how to do the paperwork. I have called the place about 4 times now and no one answers. They say they will call you back and no one does. They made a deal with me saying they will order me a new car in white and continued to try and sell me a damaged car with rust and huge deep scratches in it for the same price in black. They did not take all the discounts off of the price of the car and the woman I was working with was reluctant in even checking to make sure all the discounts were applied when I asked, and they were not all applied. When we were o the store floor we waited pretty much 90% of the time by ourselves with no one updating me on the status of the car, we waited almost 4 hours until anything even remotely was resolved. I was then promised to be kept updated the next day as to where my new car was and when Id be able to pick it up and was kept completely in the dark. I keep trying to get in contact with them about the status of the car I was already approved to buy and all but one piece of paperwork is completed for and no one answers or returns phone calls.I do not recommend ever even considering this place, this has completely ruined getting a brand new car for me and I wish I had never even traded in my car at this point. Working with this dealership has to be one of the most headache inducing things I have done in a very long time.
