I made the mistake of draining the transmission fluid when trying to do a simple oil change. I got the car over to Mike, he did a deep dive on the transmission to make sure that it wasnt damaged and was able to get everything up and running without a costly dealership visit. Hes also a really nice guy and a great asset to the neighborhood!

As a woman Ive always had issues w mechanics trying to get over or sell me something I dont need. Mike is NOT that type of guy. He will shoot u straight, he doesnt overcharge, his work is timely & always dependable. Hed NEVER be dishonest to make a quick buck & quite frankly hell flat out even tell ya if he doesnt think the repair is worth it. We found him & now even my husband insists make sure u go to Piazza if Im in need of any service or repair as he knows Mike will not sell me some overpriced thingy I DONT NEED. This place came through in a pinch. Its winter -- cold snap (about 15F) and my car would not start. I needed a place that was relatively close so the tow fee wouldnt be crazy. They were within range, had good Google reviews and a friend of a friend also recommended them. I was not disappointed. They are laid-back, easy going but also professional, which is exactly what I like. They took care of calling the tow truck and arranging everything. Within hours (5-6) of my initial call they got the car towed, diagnosed, crafted a fair bid, ordered the part and had it finished before close of business same day. Thank you! Definitely adding this place to my go-to list for car repairs.

I was told about Mike by a coworker and I’m so glad they recommended him. I took him my truck to get it fixed according to what another shop told me had to be done. Not only was the other place about 800 more than Mike, but they had identified things that didn’t need to be fixed and missed things that did. Mike not only took pictures for me to see what needed to be done, but he also took me out to the shop to show me. He explained why it needed fixed and what may happen if not. I set up a time to drop it off so I could work while he repaired my truck. I dropped it off in the morning and since I work so close, he drove me to work. About half way through the day, he let me know it was done.Not only was the price great, but I felt confident in his work. I’ll only use this shop in Maplewood while I’m working in St. Louis. His staff is top notch, the friendly banter between Mike and his crew and his customers makes you feel very comfortable. I highly recommend him!

I want to thank Mike Piazza Automotive in Maplewood for fixing my sons car. I had taken it to CarX for an oil change and they told me he needed a new hub bearing which would have been $770. My neighbor referred me to Mike and he stayed late on Wednesday to wait for us to drop off the car. He said he would drive it and see what was really going on. As it turned out, it was NOT the wheel hub bearing, but an axel and It was $350, and the part as well as alternator are covered for a year with Roadside Assistance. Ben was able to go back to MO State after the car was fixed and he had it fixed within 1 day. Thank you again Mike Piazza, you are the BEST!!!!!

Mike is the bomb :) Hes a FANTASTIC mechanic with the time to explain the nuts and bolts to you. My sisters car broke down. I was troubleshooting remotely from Arizona but not able to get it figured out. I researching online and found that the best mechanic in St Louis was Mike so I sent her to him. He was AMAZING. Called me to share his diagnosis which was SPOT on. Hes REALLY sharp and can troubleshoot anything! He went above and beyond. A handful of other mechanics could not figure out her problem and he had it spotted in a matter of minutes. My sisters car now runs like a top. He really went above and beyond. And his prices were so reasonable my jaw almost fell off. Seriously you HAVE to go to see Mike. Hes the best!

I normally dont leave reviews, but Mike is just flat out Good at what he does! He knows what hes knows what the heck hes talking about. My daughter had a problem with her car dying anytime she made a stop. It also made, loud racket when we started it up. I was happy her car was fixed and running strong. Thank You again

He is a stand alone business so you may have to wait some time for work to be done, come back or make an appointment, he has always been super nice to me. He was recommended by another local business owner who spoke highly of his services I find his prices are no higher than anywhere else. I like to use local businesses when I can.

A friend referred me to him for inspections because it was getting g late one afternoon. I went he got me right in. Only thing was after he pulled the car out he tried to charge me a extra $75. I told him that wasnt right and he threatened me saying he was going to pull my car back in and fail me. Which I let him and he failed me. His excuse for failing me was a bad tire. Made no sense because I just left the tire shop and had new ones put on. He had a attitude problem the entire time being there. You would think he would be happy for buisness. Would not suggest him. He is crooked as they get. The shop even had a strong odor of pot lingering on the air. Said something to him about that he said its his shop he can do what he wants. If I didnt like it I could go somewhere else. Still trying to figure out how to report him about the inspections. He should not have a inspection license or even a buisness license.
