We love their carbs! Delicious, high quality breads made with simple and natural ingredients. One of our favorites is the pizza bread. Enjoy!

I picked up some goodies for my coworkers at Cheryl’s Herbs down the street. I was worried at first, because even though the coffee in the front of the store smelled delightful, neither one of their employees greeted me or acknowledged me. Once I walked past the coffee counter, which I believe is a separate business, the rest of the whole experience was delightful. From the samples the gentleman that helped me offered as soon as I stepped up, to the very appreciative and genuine “thank you” as I left with my order. I even bought more than I planned just because of his service. Customer Service goes a long way!!!

The breads and muffins are very good, and the cinnamon rolls are absolutely amazing - hands down one of the best Ive ever had (arguably the single best Ive ever had). Owner and employees have always behaved kindly and professionally. Added bonus - they share a building with a coffee shop which for me kills two birds with one stone when Im making a pastry run, or picking up bread and coffee as groceries. Highly recommend!

Baked in-site, the baked goods have a wide array of flavors and grains. Walking in makes you want to break out the butter and jam. Nice coffee bar (La Cosecha Coffee Roasters) up front (roast their own beans). Very quaint, very homey.

So who doesnt love a trip to the bakery? As if I didnt have enough pandemic pounds to lose, I am still always looking for a great place to visit. So I decided to visit Great Harvest Bread Company. They have two locations which are located in Kirkwood and Maplewood. I happen to live in Maplewood so I decided to take a walk on a nice day and I ventured inside. As if the thought of fresh baked goods is not tempting enough the first smell that hits you is the aroma of fresh coffee. A coffee shop up front and a bakery in back? Your diet doesnt stand a chance so just give in! So I make it to the counter in back and I am confronted with a wonderful selection of difficult choices. A few moments later and I am leaving with oatmeal raisin cookies, 2 giant cinnamon rolls and a loaf of cinnamon chip bread. All items were freshly baked. The oatmeal raisin cookies were perfect. Soft and chewy but not too sweet. The cinnamon chip bread is an experience in deliciousness. You will be absolutely hooked. I have one major complaint about the cinnamon rolls. My complaint is that they are only available twice a week. But I guess that gives me something to look forward to. The best ingredient in the house is an inviting staff that is warm and friendly. Total home run for this amazing establishment. Add a few more minutes to the treadmill because I will definitely be coming back here.

Excellent customer service and super friendly staff. The muffins and scones are really good, but the bread is next level. Current favorite is sour dough marble rye.

This is the slowest Ive ever seen someone assemble a sandwich in my entire life. It was almost impressive. I arrived after 11am, so youd think theyd be ready for a lunch rush, but it was literally just me. The guy took my order and didnt warn me about any wait, but proceeded to extremely slowly set up shop. He took literally 20 minutes just to set out a few containers of presliced vegetables, remove the plastic wrap on top and assemble a sandwich. Usually great harvest is a good company to do business with, but this location was seriously lacking. I came here for the low carb bread, which is usually phenomenal at other locations, but here it was hard, dry and had an off flavor here. I will definitely not be back to this location.

You get the sense that the staff really cares about their product. They know the ins and outs of their bread and can give you advice on which bread is good for certain purposes.I personally get the honey whole wheat (makes wonderful toast), the sunflower flax, The Dakota, and the cinnamon chip.If you want to try one, they’ll give you a nice thick slice of it so you can see if you like it.

Fantastic aromas. Friendly staff. Great customer service. Delicious bread and more...sandwiches! They pal up with la cosecha coffee roasters, they open early and have a sweet table area. Parking in back folks and a back door entry for your convenience. No excuses. Stop by and become a regular.

I may now have a small bread addiction after finding this place 2 weeks ago. I have since bought 4 loaves of bread! When you first walk in you pass by a quaint coffee shop. I keep heading towards the back of the shop where you will sure to be offered a slice of bread (free). This can help you decide which loaf to buy. We bought a pesto bread that someone in our house completely devoured in the night. When I woke up I had to head back to Great Harvest and bought the Cinnamon Chip loaf and a Honey Wheat. I also bought some cinnamon monkey bread that kids love! I feel like I have never had bread, previous to my Great Harvest experience, that is made the way it should be!

I make the drive to buy my coffee beans here as the roasts are fresh (they list roast dates), the baristas are friendly, and beans are consistently good (something that other local roasters have had issues with). The beans are a great price for the quality and amount given, plus they have a punch card.
