I was really excited about trying La Cosecha. I normally judge coffee shops off their lattes or Cortados, but I biked there and needed something cold so I got a nitro. It was pretty flat and just didn’t taste great. They had to switch out the canisters in the middle of the pour so I’m sure that didn’t help. I really wish I had gotten a sidecar, latte, or Cortado instead, but based on the nitro I got, I can’t give it better than 3 stars. If I come back, I’ll get something else and update my review accordingly. The staff was very friendly, at least.
I enjoy there coffee. It always tastes fresh and hot! I like there lattes the most! If you want something affordable and something hot or cold to drink stop by here! Enjoy the great atmosphere and friendly customer service!
One person said La Cosecha feels like a side cafe in a Target. Go to Target and you will get Starbucks. I LOVE La Cosecha because it isnt Starbucks. Its a whole lot friendlier and the coffee taste like coffee should. In other words, GREAT. Love it! Love it! Love it!
Frankly, the best coffee I have tasted in a few years. I was staying with a friend for a summer visit and he recommended this place. People there were so personable and there is a neat bakery in the back. I plan to try their Nitro brew when I am again in town. Photo of my wet cappuccino...Gio gave me a heart!
La Cosecha is a nice little spot to hang out with friends, grab a quick cup to go, or take homework for some peaceful study time! The baristas are the friendliest baristas in town and they learn names quickly! Every time I come in I can be sure of a conversation about any and all things with a barista. Love this place! Also they sell fair trade coffee and drinks! 5 Stars cause they tick all the boxes! Friendly, nice environment, good coffee, and great place!
Best coffee in the area by far. Have tried a lot of local ones that are very good, but this takes the cake. Staff is very friendly as well and I greatly appreciate them opening at 7:00am on the weekend since most other coffee shops dont.
Two family owned business’s paired very well. The owner/staff were extremely personable and happy we were there. This will for sure be a place we stop when in St. Louis. Stop in!!
Good flavor, nice people. Nitro was a little flat but otherwise great. Thank you!
My go to coffee especially when I was living in Maplewood. Some of the best espresso I have ever had. I have never had a bad experience here. Great workers, extremely nice and knowledgeable.
Great cup of coffee and very knowledgeable and friendly baristas!
Was in town for the holidays and needed to replenish my beans. I travel with my Breville Barista Express. Lol, I know... Picked up some recently roasted bean here based on ratings, drove in from Wentzville to check them out. I have no problem driving and hour to check out the good stuff. In general it was meh. Ive been drinking through it now that Im back in Colorado, but I have to say its not the quality of bean Im used to, so I wont go out of my way to get more when back there. Always on the search for great bean.
Great pour over coffee given to you in an insulated thermos which was a great touch. I didnt realise the bakery part was actually a great harvest bread co chain. Im not typically a big fan of their bread but I did get a small loaf of the Dakota bread to take home and Ive gotta say it made great sandwiches
If you are like me and think that the most important thing about a coffee place is the quality of the coffee--then this is the best place to get a cup in Maplewood--a town that has so many that there is a coffee crawl event. Its the only place where the coffee is the star and it shows. Always either the same guy (I think the owner) or a younger woman there, and they are warm and friendly. They also have taken COVID-19 seriously and have had a smoothly run online ordering/curbside operation going during this time. I appreciate that.
I love visiting this coffee shop with my coworkers. Their happy hour is too great to miss! The staff is also always nice!
It was just ok. The coffee was fine, nothing ground breaking. I was disappointed by the experience. Going out for coffee is largely about the experience for me. It just doesnt provide much of an experience. It feels like a side cafe in a Target or something. There was no warmth or character to it. I wouldnt return because it just wasnt enjoyable to sit and have coffee.
I highly recommend this coffee shop! They have good, no GREAT quality beans! And unlike many other specialty coffee shops, STILL SELL 1 POUND BAGS OF COFFEE! They have classes you can take if youre interested in learning about coffee roasting. They have sold me green bean, since I roast at home. Almost no one does that anymore! The owners are knowledgeable and the staff have all been friendly to me. Support local businesses!
The pour over coffee was very good with knowledgeable people there to help you decide on what you want. What a great idea having two business in the same establishment. If you go for coffee how can you not get a sweet treat and if you go for a sweet treat how can you not get a cup of coffee. Im surprised more businesses havent caught on to this. Split the rent and everyone wins.
Superb coffee, staff, and warm environment to sit and visit with friends while sipping a coffee!
Unusual layout with coffee shop up front and bakery in the back. I waited to be served a latte while another customer came from nowhere and was served ahead of me. Needless to say, I walked away to see what my wife was doing in the bakery. She asked for a gluten-free banana muffin and received a very small muffin for which we were charged $7.00! Well, it did have a dehydrated banana on top! We’re visiting family in Maplewood and won’t return to this shop on our next visit.
La Cosecha was extremely enjoyable. I had some work to do so I brought it to work on. The coffee house was quiet enough to focus on my work. They offer free WiFi for guests which is always a plus. I highly recommend La Cosecha for anyone!
Best place for fresh beans and good cup of coffee. In the same building is Great Harvest which gives bread samples and has delicious snack to go with your coffee! They offer coconut milk for lattes, etc. for no additional charge! They have a happy hour and bean/drink card to earn free beans and drinks.
Great full flavor coffees. Nice and friendly service. It shares the space with Great Harvest Bread Co.
Delicious coffee with a rotating selection of roasts. Ive had the pour over, regular and nitro cold brews and really enjoyed everything Ive tasted.Relaxing little atmosphere to sit in and you can smell the bakery in back. If your lucky you might even get some samples :)
Love this place! Forget the overpriced franchise junk. La Cosecha is legit on so many levels!!! The beans are the best & they roast them right here. Anastasia will make you an espresso & talk to you. They share a space with great harvest bakery. Tim & Jessica will hook you up with a loaf. Today I bought a loaf of Clayton Olive. Jess gave me a taste of Aztec Chocolate bread. And, oh yeah, La Cosecha has flash brewed iced coffee! You can buy a growler & Anastasia will fill it from the tap. Keep your growler & refill it for a reduced price. You can get a pumpkin spiced whatever latte for five bucks a cup. But, why? Great job La Cosecha!
Awesome service and great people.
They roast fresh, high quality coffee beans on the spot. They use quality ingredients and sell a variety of beans and roasts. The guy I spoke with at the store was passionate about what he was doing, knoledgible too. The coffee is first rate, sweet, aromatic, fresh tasting. So, its an excellent place. You should go there. Theres also a bakery in the back with lots of good looking bread and such.
The owner of this place does not wear a mask while working. When I told him that I was uncomfortable with him not wearing a mask while talking to another employee who was making my drinks, he became defensive and stormed out.
Amazing coffee, probably the best Ive had. They know what they are doing. Wonderfully helpful staff.
Great coffeehouse! Love the happy hour! The people are very nice. And theres a great bakery too!
I ordered their Civil Roast in both light and dark. Super delicious and supports a great cause!
Excellent place. Great coffee friendly people. They also have a great bakery attached. FYI they are fye too!
Expected more than a cold and bad brewed coffee. I’d like to believe the employee that took care of me was on training and could do better in the future. He was definitely no barista.Bread looked good, although I didn’t taste any.
Good coffee & food. Nice local vibe.
Great coffee, nice staff, especially Jacob.
Good people. They really know their coffee. Pretty good selection of origins in roasts that cluster around medium.
Premium coffee that is roasted to perfection. Great experience and service!
The best coffee around with great baristas. Their coffee is seriously good... Two for one shopping with Great Harvest located in the same spot.
Great Place!! Great coffee. Wonderful People!!
Best coffee in St Louis! And while youre there grab a delicious loaf of freshly baked Great Harvest bread!
Everything about this shop is amazing. I frequent here probably once a week if not more and i have never been dissapointed by any menue item. From teas to coffee to hospitality this place has got it all!
The Best Latte in Maplewood. Hands down.
Great coffee. Seriously delicious coffee in a warm, friendly environment
This place always feels like coming home. Great coffee drinks and people who are friendly and good at what they do.
The best source for whole, freshly roasted coffee beans. And those same beans make for a great cup of coffee. If that is what you are looking for in a coffee shop.
Great coffee, great service. Ive been a regular here for several years because theyre good!
Loved the lavendar vanilla latte. Everything is hand crafted so dont pop in expecting a starbucks turn around but so worth the wait. They share the stories of their fair trade partners so you leave knowing you made a true contribution to people that work very hard to bring you a cup of joy.
We always get their espresso beans for our espresso machine at home. the coffee here is SOO good!
Comfortable seating area, amazing coffee roasted in house AND you can grab a delicious baked good from Great Harvest!
Best priced fresh roasted local coffee I know of. Great place to buy beans.
By far my favorite coffee shop. The quality of coffee is superb and the baristas are very nice. Coffee is never too sweet, and when you go during happy hour (2 to 4pm tues-fri) the coffee is half off!
Went on the Maplewood Coffee Crawl today, and after all the reviews I read about this place, it was the one I was most Iooking forward to. It did NOT disappoint. Expertly brewed coffee. I look forward to coming back again soon.
Decided to try a new coffee shop with my boo on our day off. Pretty small menu, nice staff, and cozy interior thats shared with Great Harvest bakery (which wasnt open yet) This place is good, but Foundation Grounds just down the street is still my number 1.
Amazing knowledge and incredible staff. Would recommend to anyone that loves coffee.
Best shop in town. Love the Cortados.
Their beans are better than Blueprint, Kaldi’s, Northwest, Kuva, Goshen, or Stringbean. Seriously. That good. They roast new batches every week, so you won’t be buying beans that have been sitting around for a month. You can get their drinks for half price during happy hour. $1.25 for two espresso shots. Are you serious?
I very much enjoy their coffee.
Great coffee and staff...as always
More people should know about this place... Kinda tough to notice its a coffee shop from the road, but its pretty good coffee, nice people, and theres a bakery in back.
Great coffee roasters!
Friendly coffee lovers who love to talk shop. Take a roasting class!
Sadly, not good coffee. Helpful and friendly service.
One of the best. And they are quite accommodating
The best coffee around. Their espresso is delicious.
The Papa New Guinea my new all time favorite
Friendly, great service and the best cup of coffee around!
Quaint little coffee roaster and coffee shop.
Great coffee roasted daily. Priced around $15/lb.
Great place, great coffee!
Amazing coffee and even better people!
