Store had a mixture of authentic and aftermarket gear to choose from. Nice folks, i cant speak on prices because theyre different than what Im used to in my state so they may be good I have no idea. I would recommend you stop by here and get some good gear for work, or camping.
Actually excited to see the new location opened.
I went to this place for the first time today and i love ittt! it’s so much bigger than i expected. plus, i found the oar i was looking for :) also staff is very friendly and helpful :) will be returningggg :)
Great time with my youngest son. Wish there were more of these around still
I love this store. It has always been my favorite place to go.
Store just reopened. Great staff, a lot of good clothing to buy. A lot of military things from all branches and public service clothing.
Love that store! I remember when it first came to Marietta Georgia and that was a long time ago and then I grew up and left Georgia and I just came back to visit last week and I went to the Hodge army and Navy store and it was just fabulous, you got a great store keep it up!!
Came in looking for older USMC boot camp issued black field boots. They had a couple pair of older jungle boots, but mostly all newer style tactical and jungle boots.I was able to pick up and old style flak jacket like I was issued in the Marines, and also some blousing garters and a belt, and watch cap.Prices are reasonable and staff is professional and courteous and very helpful.4 stars only because of lack of vintage or used boots, otherwise would give 5.
They have really nice things and they where so Pleasant,, I will definitely be back!
Perfect place to get my sons pants
Interesting place, will be going back there.
VERY OLD STORE and have been going there since the mid 90s.. Very nice staff. Lots of cool items. Lots of out of stock items as well which is why only four and not five stars. Oh and they stopped giving First Responder/EMT Discounts.GREAT PLACE! Help keep them in business._
A large variety of military and non military stuff. The staff was not helpful at all and much more concerned with talking to each other. I felt that overall the prices were high. I priced a brand new Jerry can down the street at $10 cheaper than the one here that was too old to safely use. I am sure they have some items that are not available most places.
Great store, excellent customer relations! Has a wide selection of merchandise, really cool place.
Not great. I remember there being so much more merchandise. I won’t be back. I was looking for new and used army jackets and could not find anything .
They have new and used gear at all levels of affordability.I went there looking for a new dog-tag chain because mine broke and i ended up finding an army combat jacket at a great price
Best place ever for military surplus!
Currently in the process of moving so a little hectic there
Cool store loaded with new and vintage military and camping gear.
I was looking for some mase that would do what I needed it to do. Not watered down hot sauce type. I deliver packages out in the boonies. It was resonably priced. Will purchase more!
Great customer service found everything I need the people working there a really chill
I wanted to wear my medals for Veterans Day, but the ones I received from the service were embedded with dust. I was glad this store had the medals in stock, fresh as if I recently got it. They had a variety of medals dating back a couple war eras here.
Great selections and good help too.
Useful for uniform items you cant get on Dobbins and the odd piece of misplaced gear.
Great place for any and all kinds of military surplus - from clothing to gear! Not well air conditioned (just a heads up for hot weather). The staff are very nice and very helpful. You can find ANYTHING military surplus that you need here and some new things, too!
Been going to Hodges since I was a baby. They were awesome when getting what we needed for my fathers funeral
I believe they have closed the store, drove by and saw a property for sale sign. Such a shame, loved this place and had been going there for almost 30 years.
Great store.. for military finds.
This place has been one of my favorites since I was a child growing up still simple just the way it was when I was young has all your military needs
I enjoyed browsing the vast inventory of items in this store. They have so many things for the military- enlisted, retired, family member, supporters of camping and hunting enthusiasts, outdoors, indoors, clothing, furniture..even kid friendly items, so no one is left out on this shopping trip. Even though the particular speciality item I needed wasnt there, I will return to do more shopping at a later date!
They ready for war lol jk. Great people
Closed until June 5th.
Ive been going to this place since I was a little boy. Its still the same after all these years. Really brings back the memories. They have everything you never knew you couldnt live without. Well worth checking out!
They are friendly and very helpful. I called 5 minutes before they closed for an emergency item I needed 20 minutes before my Marine corps ball. They stayed open and even pulled the items I needed to purchase so I could have a swift exit.
As a U.S. Army vet, of course I love this store, but they dont restock very often and was completely out of what I was looking for. Great deals in used clothing and boots.
Dont forget to check out the other side while here!
Waited for a staff member to help me try on boots (and get them from the back). After waiting 45 minutes and being assured help was on its way (twice), I left...went to Army-Navy Discount Center and walked out with boots in 25 minutes. I wish them the best, but I will not shop there again.
One time I came back with a pair of sunglasses that I already paid for the last time. When I went outside to talk on the phone, the girl came outside taking down my license plate and she did it in a brazen manner trying hard to get my attention that I gotcha! I am writing down your license plate, dude! I didnt think much of itUntil at t check out, she ask me: Are you going to paid for that? !!!!!Terrible people. They act very unprofessional and like you are a shoplifter, no more, no less.Another time, an old dude just answer Dont know! and for another question, he put his hand to his ear and said I dont know Basically, they are like just buy it, dont ask, OK? you hear?I happened to live about 3-4 miles down the street from them, thats why shopped there. But dont expect to find the real, authentic military stuff there. You will be disappointed. Most of their stuffs are civilian, copy, or new military-looking stuff made for civilian use. But they have lots of insignia and patch though.Go a few miles North to Army-Navy Discount Center for the real things. The soldiers, from Dobbins Base down the road, do not shop there, I was told. Well, there is nothing military-grade in there for them to buy anyway! All the while, they I saw them in uniform at Army-Navy Discount Center all the time. I dont remember ever seeing a soldier at this place. Ever.
Jim and I had fun exploring. Not a lot of authentic supplies. Great selection of bandanas and bags. Customer service is great and the Muzak channel was the best!
Cool like it 👍 lots of army and Navy stuff. Back in the 60s
Freaking awesome!
This place was so cool. Found many interesting machines that were used during war. They have any and everything
Decent selection for the collector but not much for current Military personnel. Most items are used or past issued gear.
Employee looked past us. And never asked if we needed help. Pretty much ignored us.
We were looking for a certain style of shoes and found a large selection here that fit our needs. The gentleman helping us was very helpful in matching our needs. We saved a few bucks here compared to what we had seen elsewhere. The service was very good and the lady at the counter was very pleasant. We will most certainly be back. I would recommend Hodge to my friends.
They were prompt and polite
Excellent customer service and quality products at a top value price. And they will even ship products to you if youre not in the area. Highly recommend shopping there !!
Nothing was really there.Reply to 4/13/21 owner responce, since it was ONLY 6 months ago I cant answer your question NOW.
I am working on a film and needed wardrobe for an enlisted Marine during WWII. David has an amazing amount of knowledge on this and steered me in the right direction. The rest of the team there is friendly, helpful, and take their time to make sure you have everything you need. Worth a stop by to see their historical collection of military uniforms too.
I went on there today and as a Veteran had never been as disrespected as by the staff here. I was explaining what the new Combat Patch is and the staff member said in a condensending voice wow good for you and basically said all Vets were going to hell. If you are a Vet or Active Duty I would steer clear of this place. When I voiced my displeasure the management didnt even care. Horrible people horrible place. Not ever again will I go in here. I wanted to give it zero stars but it wouldnt let me.
Went here to replace some missing ID tags, got the quick, less than 10 min! Saved my tail!!!
This place is really cool to dig through. Its like being in your Uncles attic and about as hot since they dont have AC to speak of. Much of the product is on shelves but its very disorganized but thats not terrible. Lots of cool random stuff to find here if you want to spend time looking.
Only saw one employee, never greeted us or asked if we needed assistance. Stayed on his cellphone and ignored us. Store was dirty, low levels of stock, inflated prices. Will not be returning anytime soon. Went to Army Navy discount store up the road and was greeted promptly and offered assistance.
I called first for a pair of black BDU they had them at the counter so no one else would get the last pair. Thank you!
Inventory is never replenished... almost feels like their going out of business... HOT AS HADES in the Store during the summer... very uncomfortable... disengaged nonchalant Staff...
Bought two black bomber jackets there for about $40.00 each. One for me, one for son. Other sites wanted over $100.00 online. Thick insulated bomber/not thin version, wool collar/not furry. No use for mommy or daddy to pay the extra 100.00 unless you are a fashion model.
Cool little spot carries almost anything you might need
Been able to depend on this place for years - thank you for your service
Very helpful staff. Large inventory. They accept all credit cards.
Love this place!
This is a cool place. No customer service to have time to look for what your coming for because its a huge store but no one will assist until checkout and he was very nice
Tons of inventory! Takes about 30-40 minutes to walk the store competitive pricing aswell
Cool store! Bigger on inside than you would think. Tons of gear and supplies for camping and the outdoors. Glad I stopped to check it out
THIS PLACE IS SOOOO AWSOME AND AMAZING 👍👍👍👍👍😊😊
What a great assortment of both new and surplus Military goods. Fun store to browse old Military equipment.
Great selection, not too much help though.
Its kinda old but packed with things any person planning the next zombie apocalypse would need. They also have a good amount of Car-Hart gear.
I was out all morning hitting different gun stores and surplus stores basically enjoying myself until I got here. Customer service was nonexistent. The girl behind the counter was too busy tapping on her smart phone to even look up and the guy working made me feel really unwelcome buy trailing behind me and watching but when I would turn towards him he would walk away. Really? I had a question. Im wasnt trying to shop lift!
As cool as this place is, it is absurd how overpriced everything is. Nobody wants to pay twice as much for a 30 year old version of something you can get at Walmart for much less, that still is much higher quality. This place is really just for the people that get hard for anything with a military insignia on it.
Yeah. Dont expect anyone to acknowledge you or offer help. Lots of stuff out of stock and randomly placed. Keep moving.
Love this place. They always have what I need.
Great selection of New and used military gear and patches and military ranks.
Huge supply of military gear and more. Helpful, friendly staff
Good place to find authentic surplus equipment from the Military. Store contains new products as well.
Customer Service at its best ! 5 stars.
Great place bought some army boots there and they are amazing!!!!
Always enjoy stopping there they have great stuff at great prices
I love looking through all of the old surplus stuff in the back.
Great selection and prices!
Basic customer service is to give the customer a bag, and thank them. This did not happen. I had to ask.
Great variety of anything involving outdoors and military insignia. Offering military, law enforcement, fire/rescue discount.
Not what i would describe as an army navy store. i was hoping for a lot of old surplus stuff, but only found new uniforms, brand new civilian camping gear, kids uniforms, and old uniform paraphernalia. a nice store, but not really what i was looking for.
Over priced with a bad return policy. I bought a pair of boots only to get home and find they had been polished to hide a deep scuff. When I tried to return them I was refused a return even though it was the same day.
Very large place with an amazing selection. Staff was very friendly and super helpful.
Good selection of camping gear in the way back of the store. Unfortunately the lighting was so poor you could not make out the product labels. aAs the other reviewers suggest customer service is almost non-existent.
They used to have a nice selection... not anymore. The staff laughed at me when I tried to negotiate the price on a PASGT helmet, from $90 to $45 ( I know thats a big difference, but I found the same helmet for $30 at another store. ), but they laughed at my face. I tried my best to respectfully argue my case, but they were clearly ignoring me. They then told me that the prices of such a helmet on Ebay would be $130... I looked it up, and the average price was between $25-$70, with only a couple over $100. Overall, its a rip-off, and the staff are set in their ways, and arrogant.
Two visits to the store. Excellent customer service. Its a surplus store, therefore it takes time to go through the avaialable items. Picing out the goods is based on experience, Weve had luck picking up a few jewells. Staff is excellent at assisting. Just ask and they will point in the right direction
The staff is always really nice. And they almost always have what Im looking for.
Cool older gear and quality new clothes and boots.
Great place to shop. Only complaint... No AC so if youre going to go, go in the morning lol.
Great selection, bought a 3000 lbs gun safe and a bayonet. Id give them 5 but they mislabeled the bayonet.
Ive always enjoyed coming here. They have a huge selection of all sorts of items at decent prices.
Kinda pricey but a lot of cool things.
This is a very nice place lots of different inventory its organized and easy to shop
Great selection of shoes and boots and very patient salespeople.
Good for being nowhere near a major base
