Cooper Etheridge and crew are AMAZING! He is as honest as they come and extremely friendly, outgoing and a pleasure to work work with. They came in to our basement and provided a complete layout of how we could maximize the use of the space we had. This included all the components and we were also able to use an existing receiver and sub woofer we already had. They were extremely patient with a few construction delays due to supply and other issues but when we were ready for them to come out, they were ready to go with no delay! We are so happy with the end result! Highly recommend Cooper and his group and we will definitely use him for any and all future work we need!

Cooper Ethridge is awesome! After getting GHTs help in reconfiguring an existing Crestron system, I was struggling to get my DJ booth / dance floor room in order. I recently purchased a new home. I wired the home with Cat 6 cabling and needed professionals to come in to install a home network while hanging TVs and soundbars. Mike Mason came to my home, immediately understood what I needed to have done, was sensitive to my budget concerns, and provided me with a cost-effective solution to accomplish the job. When the GHT Group team came to perform the job (a 3 man team), all were professional and offered solutions and advice. They installed everything exactly as advertised, were extremely careful with all my new equipment, and the result is lightning fast internet hardwired to all TVs and desktop- computers. If you need to have this work done in Atlanta, your search begins and ends with these people. Could not recommend them more highly.

Since approximately $24k was spent with Georgia Home Theater to create our home theater room, Ive waited about 6 months after our install to write the review, so that I can better assess the consistency of our experience. Our three contacts in charge of our project were Cooper, Neal, and Kevin. I was happy with the communication, the timing of the install, the aesthetic look, and especially the attention to my needs after the installation. I use the theater 2-3 times daily since it is our primary “TV” in the house, so I definitely put some miles on it. Overall Im happy with it, as they solved most of the many initial technical issues after the install, however there are residual issues that were never resolved. The main one is that the quote included two separate zones outside the theater where we could play music from our phones wirelessly, however, because of the way it has been rigged up, the other rooms dont work consistently, and when they do, the sound usually cuts in and out. The new NEEO wifi remote was horrible and unusable. Their older universal remote and iPhone app is better, but we still end up using the DirecTV and AppleTV remotes because the universal is not responsive enough. For the video/audio quality of the system itself, it all depends on the source and the receiver settings. For instance, with all the settings correct, Aquaman in 4k in Dolby Atmos was perhaps the most amazing movie experience of my life, but the experience definitely varies based on getting the settings right for each movie and source. We got the Sony VPL-295es 4K projector, and thats a major component of our ongoing experience. At times, this projector is a little dark because of the lower lumen count even in a blackout room, but overall Im still happy with the picture. The picture is acceptable for gaming where we have had HDR issues, but not mind-blowing. More significantly, the projector goes black for several seconds when manipulating a variety of functions, such as selecting a special feature on a movie, or going back to the menu screen in Netflix, or switching between videos on AppleTV. Its almost like the projector cannot handle smooth transitions between video and menu screens, and even sometimes within a menu screen itself, having to constantly reset. Because of this, I always only hear sound for the first few seconds when I select almost anything and I miss the first several seconds of any video selected. Other initial issues have become less frequent (though still occur) after GHT worked with the system, such as DirecTV not activating when that source is selected, or the projector not turning off when “Room Off” is selected. Also, some of the speakers vibrate or rattle a little because of the bass at times, and this can be distracting. Though I often worry that some setting or wiring is not allowing for maximum audio/video quality, especially with the HDR issues, I havent needed to call the GHT team in months.In conclusion, I am happy with the system and my customer experience. Cooper, Neal, and Kevin were great to work with and very responsive, including after the install, which caused them to stand out among the competition. Aesthetically the system looks extremely sleek, and though the sound and picture largely varies depending on the source, its extremely impressive when everything is just right. There were lots of technical issues after the install, but most of those were resolved with good post-install GHT customer service. The residual technical issues that Ive mentioned, such as the remote problems, the secondary zones issue, the vibration of a couple speakers, and the blackout delay on the projector have caused this not to be a 5-star review, but I think I can learn to live with those.

Cooper and the GHT team were fantastic! Reasonable quote compared to the competition. They were on-time, every time, and very thorough. And clean. And, most importantly, they came up with a solution that leveraged existing equipment as opposed to just loading me up with new stuff that increased their sale.

Ive been a customer of GHT for a couple years now, and Ive used them for equipment/set-up on a 2 channel hifi system, 5.1 system in my family room, and a 7.2.4 system in my theater room. Quite frankly, theyre the best AV company Ive worked with over the years. They always take the time for the following:- Understanding my needs- Patience as I flip flop several times on what I want in my set-up- Great customer service, communication and install- Quality productsThe one time I had an issue on install, due to no fault of GHT, they made it right without being difficult. Truly great company to work with on AV.

GHT has installed improvements to our home audio, video and lighting systems. In each instance GHT updated systems installed by other contractors when our home was built, successfully analyzing and correcting issues with no documentation, programs or plans available when they walked into our home. Every GHT team has been prompt, professional and uncompromising when working out the various issues in our elderly systems. We’d hire them again without hesitation. We don’t have elaborate systems or offer the largest ticket size compared to some of their other projects, but we never felt like our projects were delayed or that we got a ‘B’ team when they were busy. Highly recommended if you are considering any of their specialties.

Had a great experience buying a new integrated amplifier at GHT. Eric was the guy who helped me out and he was awesome. The vibe there is very laid back and relaxed, not pushy or aggressive. I would definitely recommend to friends and family!

It wasnt without apprehension that my wife and I decided to upgrade our family rooms entertainment system. Replacing a TV that, like many others for years before it, had lived and died in a large TV/stereo component cabinet was no small decision because the room would be dramatically changed by a wide screen TV--the old cabinet had to go, and pictures would have to be moved. I have worked with GHT on several projects for my business and my personal residence, the latter of which spanned several years. Their expertise and customer service puts them in a class of their own. The attention to detail shown to me and my family throughout our home building process far exceeded my expectations and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. The only negative sentiment I have with respect to GHT is that I wish I had found them sooner. They can easily fulfill any electrical, low voltage, or automation needs that you might have. There are others in the area who will claim to have similar knowledge and service. However, if you decide to work with one of their competitors, just know that your outcome, no matter how good, would have been better with GHT.

I highly recommend. Sean is amazing. I had previously used a small local company to instal WiFi, security, audio and video. In the middle of working from home and kids doing virtual learning our WiFi went out. I called only to find Georgia home theater bought the company. We recently hired Georgia Home Theater for installing a new theater in our basement. They were recommended by our Basement Remodeling company Green Basements.Dave McDowell was our sales contact and boy, was he knowledgeable about home theatres? Absolutely! He not only recommended ideal room proportions for our desired screen size, necessary equipment and seating for the best theater experience etc. but also explained the reasons behind the recommendations.Initially we had designated a smaller room for theater, but Dave showed us a model on his computer that showed that if we expanded our room by about 6 ft, we will have a greater sound and viewing balance and e-grace on both sides.Dave also obtained a brand new Anthem receiver with a substantial discount offered by the manufacturer at the time. The suggested Sony projector was also sufficient for our room size and the darkness we achieved. I wanted to go for a higher end projector, but Dave saved us another $5K on projector.Joel Gilmore was our PM from Georgia Home Theater. He was very effective in completing the work on schedule. He paid attention to minute details, such as the position of a second TV in our basement kitchen, the re-wiring of the existing cable-TV cables and untangling those and arranging them nicely in a nice cable box.Joel was also very patient in explaining all the features of our theater system (Control-4). He even watched a 3D clip to show us that it works, when 3D actually gives him headache.Overall, it was a great experience with Georgia Home Theater. We now have our own home theater that is almost 20 x 17 ft, seats 8 people, with 133 inch screen and the best native 4K projector with best Dolby Atmos capable receiver and 7.4.2 audio experience. All this for around $40K.Thank you, Dave and Joe.

After moving from out of state we needed to reconnect an existing control4 system to our theater room equipment, home speaker system, security system and WiFi. Three different companies offered to help but their quotes were outrageous. Everything was an “up sell” or “problem” that was going to “take more time than normal” to fix. Georgia home theater asked me to txt pictures of equipment while on the phone. 5 days later they came out and took 3 hours to get us up and running. 1hr of the 3 was spent answering my questions on how to use the system. Great service and staff. Highly recommend!!

My family and I have just had the pleasure of using Georgia Home Theater (GAHT) for the installation of Sonos and Control 4 in our home in Brookhaven GA. From the beginning to the end GAHT made this process extremely smooth, fast and most importantly effective on all required home automation levels we needed. The original installers during our home construction had told us “that we had all we needed to an amazing system”, which while true on one level materialized into not working as originally intended…very frustrating to say the least. GAHT have corrected all of the prior issues and then some. Their knowledge base is simply stronger and their customer service and familiarity as to how things should work is incredible.
