True to the meaning Market. Best day to visit is Saturday. I stress it can get very busy and a haven for pick pockets. Approximately 70-80 independent market stalls, running down a high road. Shops on both sides. Many of the items sold by stall holders cannot be readily found in London, Varied range of shops cafes, restaurants catering to all needs. This is very much a market catering for local and everyday Londoners needs.

Great place with so much variety from food, clothing items a wide range of products with very affordable prices.. even the world wide arab countries native shop there too.

Absolutely filthy, rats and stray dogs everywhere. Old unsold food and detritus thrown all over the floor. Wouldnt even recommend if you have nothing.

Amazing market where you can buy nearly anything with affordable to cheap prices compare to prices at well known super markets...Also you can buy clothes/shoes/electrical and mobile accessories plus lot more specially on Saturdays.

I love with market especially in Lockdown times! You know what it works all time as usual and the range of goods and foods the same as before the Pandemic!

This is a great Saturday market... lots of good deals on inexpensive clothing and accessories... There are some good food stands there too if you are looking for a meal on the go... And it has a fantastic indoor antiques market to explore as well.I had a lot of fun one afternoon few weeks ago exploring it and talking to the many merchants there. This is a multi cultural, multi faith environment where everyone is welcome.I will be going back to it time and again I am sure.

Not so busy, on Wednesdays before than 12:00noon is everything fresh still. I recommend the Asian shop after the phamarcy. They hot every exotic vegetable possible to find in london i love this place.

Lovely market if you need to buy fresh fruits, vegetables or fish.

Would have given a better review if it wasnt for covid, there is no social distancing or masks. While some workers are respectful it is not a great experience, significantly worse than shepherds Bush Market.

V average local market. Low priced goods. No dazzle, etc

This market stall sells the best fish and square bread. Delicious! Very busy and staff are a bit abrupt due to space limitation etc.,Food cannot be faulted.

Its a very good market for spices and vegetables and clothes fair prices some good bargains just keep a eye on your belongings 👑👪🌍❤️🌹🙏🦉

Best old style London street market in west central area!

My favourite place and nice people and my favourite place to eat fish.

Luv the narjet especially the little independent cafés and narjet stalls. Never bought clothes there but they look like a real bargain but I think they might smell like fish as a number of the clothes stalls are situated way too close to the fish monger.

Its for amateurs . Its my secret Saturday street .. Tell no one about it .. It has lowest prices you can ever think of but in a mess ..If you have the temper to look for good quality stuff in piles & racks .. so I recommend you go for it. Its an adventurous market where you may of may not be lucky to find the stuff you need.I like the vegetables sellers section and fresh nuts varieties. I love the oriental pickles, which is necessary on my dinner table.

Very nice place to get fresh vegetables or fish. And if you fancy knock off gucci its a place to get one too.

Very lively

This is a lively market especially on a Saturday. When I am walking around the market its hard to believe that everyone is in lockdown because of the amount of shoppers. At the moment they are selling food only, but the vegetables, meat and fish look very fresh and there is a lot to choose from. It is one of the biggest markets I have seen in London if not the biggest. Apart from the market there are some useful stores around including a Santander bank, a post office, a large friendly chemist, Tesco and a Leyland DIY store. There is also a KFC and a Greggs and plenty of independent coffee shops and snack bars. The market is very well located.

In this market you can find a bargain clothes and multi cultural food...

A fun market you can get lots of Arabic sweets, falafel and flat bread. There are cheap clothes and veg too. Really an old fashion market.

Terrible need to leave the streets alone

Well covid has affected the market not so many stalls as normal. A few shops are still open like tesco and the 4 or 5 £pound shops Greggs the bakery is open. And the buthers/ grocery stores. Not sure if the antique shops are open for business

Brillant place to be, especially Friday and Saturdays. You can pop intoGeggs for a drink, and if you need the toilet the library allows you to use their facilities.

Not impressed. A middle eastern bargain market selling mostly knockoff clothes and homewares. Good prices on fruit/veggies but you need to be very careful or some vendors will sell you poor produce

This is a pretty much a middle eastern market. The bulk of the stalls are cheap clothes and there are some fruit and vegetable stalls, dried nut/legume sellers, fishmongers and the prices are quality are good. You can also buy fresh, hot food there including paella, fish dishes etc. This is not a vegan, organic, hipster type of place.

If you have the passion to share the word of God to the Muslim community. This is the place and honestly they need the word of God. Remember the Bible said For God so loves the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believe in him will not perish but have eternally life. (John 3:16) whosoever means whosoever.I was there to share the good News of our Lord Jesus Christ. And all Glory to God.

Not as many stalls as there used to be on a Saturday (declined before C19), but has fruit/veg, fish, takeaway, cheap clothes, fabric, carpets, watches, perfumes, a little dry grocery (more in church street shops), a little homewares (more in shops), shoes, and other odds and ends. Didnt see butchery.

Ive used this place for 40 years. Its varied and excellent place to shop for fruits and vegetables.

Doubled it size in the last year or so. Fresh fruits and vegs, fish can be purchased here. As well we good rug stand, the rest is stalls with cheap and cheerful stuff.

Very crowded with people who seemed very careless about distancing etc. Some wore masks, but most didnt, even in shops. I hope I dont need to go there again!

It was nice to be back in the market after lockdown. I bought a rosemary. You can see it around my neck!

Not a good market it only covered a few things no local toilets had to buy a cup of tea to use the calf one
