I call for a quote on some glulam beams was told they were working on it, when I called back and asked about the order they told me over the phone that Greg would call me back it has been a month now and never heard anything from them. Very unprofessional would not recommend.

I found this marvelous place just surfing around on the web after conversing with a friend about the purchase of an EGG. I had nooooo idea what was in store for me other than the reviews that peaked my curiosity!🤔. So, I made a conscious effort to go pass this place and see what the hype was all about. I am glad I did, let me tell you. I went to the door, but it was locked, so I called the number listed on the door. Althoughat this time they were only taking orders through the call center and not face to face in the showroom; they made a huge exception! They immediately made it possible to meet with Joe, the manager right then and there. Great place for good quality construction lumber. If you are looking for better grade than what home depot or lowes sells.Staff was nice, helpful, and even said they could order specialty pieces although I was in a time crunch so I went with what they had on hand.

I was in the market for a Big Green Egg. I went here for no other reason than they are close to my house. I was extremely lucky because buying a BGE from Metro Building Products means that you get to work with Ed, and let me tell you, finding someone like Ed is rare indeed. I was ready to buy this egg over the phone and come pick it up. Ed, convinced me I should come in and look at what they have and talk to him. It wasnt a sales trick to sell me on something I didnt need; Ed just loves to talk about BGEs and cooking in general. I was on the fence about a large or extra large, and Ed could have tried to sell me on the XL, but he didnt. He asked me what I was planning on doing and for how many, etc. He really wanted me to get the right egg for my needs. Then he offered to deliver it, so I agreed. I expected him to help me get the stuff on my porch at best. Instead, he brought the table fully assembled and set everything up. All I did was carry the other end of the table. Then he showed me how to use it, and while we waited for it to heat up to cure the glue used on the felt seals, he gave me a wealth of tips on how to cook different meals with the egg. I would never, ever, go anywhere else to buy a BGE. If you are in the metro area and you want an egg, then call Metro Building Products and ask for Ed, because buying from him adds so much value to the cost of a BGE. I cannot thank Ed enough.

I just bought a green egg. Ed is and amazing salesman and green egg guru. He came out the same day I purchased the egg set it up dialed it in and I was on my way that evening grilling ribeye steaks and they were great. This was my first time going to an actual lumber yard thats not just a Home Depot or Lowes. It was recommended to me by my brother in law. Within a minute of walking through the door, Wayne Jenkins greeted my wife and I. He answered all of our questions and was extremely helpful. After we ordered what we had come for, he even printed us out a quote for a bunch of other cuts of lumber we would potentially be needing in the future for our home renovations. By the time we walked out the front door, they already had a fork lift coming around the corner with everything to be loaded in. Even the guy who was driving the forklift was extremely pleasant! Great customer service and great quality wood. I will definitely be back in the future when needing more lumber.

I am not a contractor but I have had some very big and medium size outdoor projects for my house. For someone who isnt a contractor the prices are a little higher than the big home retailers but the quality is much better. It doesnt hurt that Chuck doesnt see me for 6 months or so and calls me by my first name when i walk in. Metro is my go to for pressure treated lumber.

I was very impressed with the professionalism and timely responses of your rep, Ms. Katie Carmichael. On a Saturday, I emailed a request for information about one of your products and a price quote, expecting a response (hopefully) sometime Monday or Tuesday. Instead, Ms. Carmichael responded late afternoon on Sunday. We exchanged two more emails with product information, so that today, Tuesday, I am ready to buy. I needed KDAT deck boards to quickly (rather than wait months to dry out). Metro confirmed by phone they had in stock. I went to the store the next morning and they handled the transaction quickly, easily, and brought the 12 boards to my car to load. They were right on the beam!

They will not do phone sales... as a contractor this is important to me. The lack of quality of wood is so disappointing. I sent the guy back for better wood and he just flipped it over to show a better side. With the poor quality of wood - now I have to sand and caulk so much more!!!

I requested an estimate for a deck. I asked for both pressure treated lumber and composite materials. I hesitated because I had to include my phone #. I didnt want sales calls. The estimates came via email within hours. No sales calls! just a follow up text saying estimate was sent. The estimate was for the decking only. I would have liked to have an estimate for the whole deck including the railing and anything else needed but the decking price does give me an idea of the whole. The main thing I appreciate was their promptness.

I was ordering some 4x4 cedar posts and realized that I did not have anything to secure the load. I asked for rope and the sales person did even better and gave me a as I call it a missile strap to secure everything down. Customer service was great and the wood products were great. Fantastic customer service! The ceramic dome on my Big Green Egg fell out of the hinge ring when I opened it and busted into several pieces. I didnt buy my Egg at Metro but found them on a Google search as a nearby company that could supply/replace the dome. I called to order one and Ed (the Eggman) asked me what happened. He took my number and called me back an hour later. He had called the Egg HQ and campaigned for them to replace my dome for free! He could have easily made a $200+ sale but instead went out of his way to help me out. You dont see this level of customer care very often. Thanks Ed!

I shopped at the main Cedar supply store in Norcross for 15 years. After getting verbally abused by the yard foreman for simply asking him to open a new bundle of lumber, he told me it was time for me to shop elsewhere. I took his advice and went to Metro. Not only did the owner walk me to the material I needed and said pick your material, he actually helped me load it into my truck. It is a farther haul for me as I come from Snellville, but it is well worth the trip. The quality is suprisingly better and best of all, cheaper. Well worth the trip.
