Took me a while to get in because they are super booked. My car was taken care of, service was performed as required, no extra stuff, no added on charges, and super professional. A few days after my service I received a text from Jeff asking if everything was in order.! Top Notch customer service
So far I used Bavarian Mechanic Works in three occasions. They’re always professional and very responsive. The first time, I had an issue with a sensor that wouldn’t allow my car to start. They did several diagnosis, identified the issue and fixed it. The second time I took the car for a regular service and oil change. It was affordable and convenient. The third time was last week, when they saved me from myself. I did a mistake in an attempt to work on my own car. They fixed the car and got it up and running in three days. If you’re looking for a reliable mechanic for your European vehicle, look no further. Their customer service and communication is excellent. They provide constant updates on the status of the car and give you an accurate estimate for the cost of repairs. Bavarian Mechanic Works is simply the best shop in town.
I have had my 2011 Mercedes E350 for a year now and this place is on point with the professional and friendly staff! They are very knowledgeable and not overly priced as the dealerships. I will not take my car anywhere else. I would refer anyone to them. I was referred by a friend. Great place at a affordable price for the services.
I highly recommend Bavarian Mechanics for those who have a foreign vehicle. They were the most affordable shop in the area, customer service was amazing, and the communicated with me very well. My car is running like new and I’m very satisfied
First time at Bavarian today, they were able to squeeze me in last minute for an oil change that I desperately needed before I went out of town! Amazing customer service, I will definitely be returning and recommend to friends and family!
I’ve taken my car to this place twice so far: for a strut replacement and an oil change. This place is great! They are honest, professional and their customer service is excellent. You can tell that everyone who works their loves what they do and they will explain everything you want to know about your car and the repairs. They even took me in the shop to show me what my car damage looked like and what was going to be repaired. Not once did I feel that my questions annoyed them. Very happy that I found this place for my VW, and can finally move away from taking my car to the dealership for service.
They were very professional and knowledgeable on the tires I purchased. I also purchased an alignment and a oil change. My bmw X5 is in tiptop condition…I paid a fraction of what the dealership would have charged me! Thank you Bavarian Mechanic Works!
Awesome business with a great group of mechanics, very trustworthy and reasonable prices! Very understanding and willing to work with you, I will ALWAYS take my vehicle to this repair shop! 😊
The tire pressure sensors on the Porsche Cayenne are very sensitive. After a low pressure sensor alert, BMW was able work me in to check the tires on the spot, add a little air (one psi!), and get me back on the road in a half hour. And this service was free! This is just another time that BMW saved the day - they do great work.
Such a professional company. I always feel comfortable bringing my car to be repaired or get the normal service that is necessary. A great price, professional service, always timely, friendly. I highly recommend.
The guys here where great. Prices are VERY reasonable. You cant go wrong with this shop. Know their stuff!!!! I highly recommend this shop!
Service provided was a regular scheduled maintenance (B Service). Personnel are very cordial and friendly. They were clear of what type of service was requested. After service was completed in a timely manner, a technician went over existing conditions on the vehicle that needed prompt attention and gave me a detailed estimate of cost of repairs. I trust this business with all my vehicle’s needs.
To put it simply, Patrick and the team at Bavarian Mechanic Works will blow you away. They have the most professional customer service and perform excellent work at affordable prices. I started using them for all of our needs after my dad recommended them. Routine maintenance is a breeze. When repairs are needed, Patrick will work with you every step of the way and is entirely transparent in all they do and can do. Ive had them do everything from tire, brake, and oil changes to a complete engine swap. Several years ago, my wifes Mercedes ML 350 had an internal idle pin dislodge (Mercedes Techs said they had never seen this happen.) that completely locked/destroyed the engine with 50,050 miles on it. Bavarian was able to find a lower mileage engine that they were able to swap it for thousands less than the Dealership price. I cannot say enough about Bavarian and how happy I have always been with them over the years. Thank you Patrick, and everyone else at Bavarian Mechanic Works!!!
Simply the best! These guys are professional and very reasonably priced. Better than actual Mercedes/Bmw dealership at a fraction of the cost!
Fantastic garage. Great staff. Had a VRSF downpipe installed. Will be coming back with future upgrades.
Friendly knowledgeable staff, effecient work.
Jeff and his team have won my business! From now on this will be the only place I will bring my car! The mechanic that worked on my car went way above and beyond to get my car back up and running. I really have no words to tell you how great and talented this young man is! My 2012 VW CC RLine had an unusual braking issue that just about left me without a car period, but this young man put in countless hours and Im sure a few choice words to make sure I was able to drive it home! Thank you thank you thank you Jeff and the Bavarian team. I will gladly let everyone know what a great place to take your car to!
Wonderful staff from the front desk to the back of the shop. Great quality work that you know is done right, would highly recommended these guys for anything you may need done.
Took my 2008 a3 in to have the heater looked at. Patrick and his team had the car for a day and suggested a repair. Picked up the car the next day and was very happy with the work done! Even managed to come in under the initial estimate! Great team, very responsive.
They do good work and got great customers service better than most.
I was experiencing problems excellerating, especially when pulling off after stopping. I needed an oil change and was informed of the Exact life left on my Brakes. I was given the option to Replace or Repair the Intake Manifold. I chose to Repair! Im So happy the Repair on the Flap was done with Metal not Plastic. My oil was changed, my front and back breaks replaced. I am a very Satisfied Customer!!!
Guys work on my 95’ 525i and got it finished same day. Best bmw shop in Augusta🔥
Excellent customer service and prices were reasonable. Definitely would recommend them.
I have used their services for three separate and significant repairs. Each time I have been highly impressed with the quality of their repairs, professionalism and cost savings to include a military discounts. I would definitely recommend them!
Great customer service from the initial phone call to the follow up text ensuring my vehicle’s repair needs were completed and to BMW standards. Service turn around time was one day and I was back on the road. Much Thanks to the team!
I brought my Mini in because of a leak in the radiator. The staff was very friendly and professional. Inside the building was clean and welcoming. They fix my car very quickly and remained in constant communication with me. I will absolutely bring my car back here for other repairs and I will recommend them to my friends.
These guys are incredible. Fixed the Benz the first time and would recommend them anytime!
The car runs amazing-- better than it has in years. You guys diagnosed some things at the end that the dealership has been missing. Thanks for all the help.
Great place to get your vehicle service and any repairs, have been coming here for the last year and always have a great experience. Thanks guys!
Replaced my compressor same day. Coordination with Patrick and staff was excellent as I was at work on Friday and had to pick my car up after hours. They even saved me a couple dollars on price!!! No issues over here!!
These guys are great! Reasonably priced for the service they perform on BMW’s. Can always count on Jeff and his team. Our go to repair shop!
The guys at Bavarian Mechanic Works has my 2010 Audi Q5 running smooth. Customer service is A1, Patrick was very helpful, patient and thorough. If I ever need additional work done with my car I do not plan to go anywhere else. They have my business and trust. Thanks y’all!!!!
I have been using Bavarian Mechanic Werks for over 5 years and have never been disappointed with their service. They are capable, professional, friendly, and quick. I have and will continue to recommend them to all my friends and coworkers.
Jeff and his staff were very professional. They were able to diagnose the problem and get my car back on the road within a reasonable amount of time and at a reasonable cost. I highly recommend that you use them for you BMW repairs.
Best repair shop I’ve been to in my 31 years hands Down.Very efficient the guys were well manored, had Great Customer service and finished the job when I was told they would be finished also followed up with me after I left the shop to make sure my car was running well thanks so much guys for everything :)
The team at Bavarian Mechanic Works is very professional and polite. They take great care to do the job right the first time.
Always professional and a lot nicer than the dealer...repeat customer and always will be!
Always friendly. Fair Prices. Jeff and team do it right over there. They have business for as long as I drive German.
These guys are my go to for all work on my car. They never over diagnose, and are honest with questions like, Can it wait till next time? I wouldnt go anywhere else.
They are always professional and courteous. They do great work in a timely manner.
Great work and customer service! But.. Takes time to get work done. 3 days in my case. Guess their pretty popular.
This is the BEST place to bring your car when you need repairs. They are professional and friendly. They do great work. Jeff is the best. I will be back in the future again, for sure.....
Patrick and the guys are great. NO ONE TOUCHES MY BMW M3, BUT BAVARIAN!!!
Very professional on phone
Very professional. Will definitely be using them for all my auto needs.
Patrick was very nice and accommodating...described the problem and assured me not to worry, they would address any problem...
Jeff and his team are awesome! I took my bmw to 4 separate places before coming here, all of which were quoting me over 2 grand to replace headlight. These guys actually took their time to look and see that it could actually be repaired for much cheaper. I am truly grateful to you guys and would recommend to anyone!
Bavarian Mechanic Works was my go-to mechanic when I lived in the Augusta area. I trusted their work and never had any problems with their repairs. They were always professional and friendly. I called them to request documentation over three years after having some major repair done through their shop. They emailed it immediately. I was so relieved to have chosen such a reliable place to go for my cars service.
Absolutely fantastic place to take your sick car. The staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable & talk to you about the problem in a manner you can understand even if youre not a mechanic. Expert fast service. 5 stars arent high enough to rate Bavarian Mechanic Works! Thank you very much.
As a first time BMW owner, I want an independent mechanic that immediately comes across as trustworthy. So far so good. The guys at the shop made me feel welcome and gave me some great advice on my car. I feel like some dealerships wouldve tried to up sell me instead of trying to build a long term relationship with me. Hope to continue coming back.
Dont agree with parts policy and prices
**Edit: Jeff from BMW called me and we spoke at length about my experience. He is an upstanding guy who clearly cares about his customers. My experience wasnt their best due to a variety of circumstances, but its clear that is not always the case. I really appreciated him reaching out and speaking with me.I brought my Volkswagen to this repair shop some time ago, and have been thinking about writing this review for some time. I chose this shop because of its convenient location in proximity to my work, and because of the outstanding reviews on here. I was very disappointed. One issue on the car was fixed without any problem (water pump replacement) but the clunking I had in the drive line was not fixed at all, and in fact was even worse after the repairs. Turns out, the motor mounts were bad as I had suggested, and them prying on the transmission with a giant prybar to get the most likely still OK axles out finished them off to the point that my wife literally wouldnt even drive her car any more. I ended up trading the car in. These things happen in the auto industry, things get misdiagnosed all the time, but when I brought the car back I was not really offered any solution. The technician I spoke with was nice and offered some ideas, but the guy up front was just a total disaster. The adviser was just a total mess throughout the whole repair. It took multiple days to get estimates, and then when I did they werent correct. After I was dissatisfied with the original repair, he offered no solution to my problem at all. Didnt involve a manager in any way. I was totally blown off.Your mileage may vary, but I wont be bringing any vehicles here in the future.
I went to them to diagnose a simple squeal in my right wheel since I couldn’t find it myself. They disabled my e brake and didn’t tell me so when I got home I was without an e brake. I called and they tried to blame it on the squeal which has not occurred since they looked at it (most likely a rock stuck between the rotor and heat shield). Took my car to a BMW dealer and they walked me through the repair and confirmed that someone pulled the e brake wire out of its housing (also didn’t charge me anything while Bavarian charged $100!). Bavarian tried to get me to come back and let them “work on” my car again. They also “joked” about joy riding my car (F80 M3) which made me uncomfortable as the owner took it out for over 15 minutes...I don’t recommend anyone ever coming here for any sort of service.
They have always taken excellent care of my bmw and make sure I understand exactly whats happening. We had a misunderstanding one time but they were sure to make everything right, although they were never actually wrong in the first place. Very trustworthy people. Highly recommended by me.
This is the kind of place you take your car to be fixed, not worked on. They do a great job from diagnosing your cars needs, to even explaining to you if another part or issue is causing the problem. Sometimes its just an adjustment to a belt tensioner, or a need to replace it to prevent wearing out the belt which runs almost everything on todays cars.I recommend Bavarian Mechanic Works for fair pricing and the feeling they give you as you move through the repair process. Its the place to send you wife to get a fair honest inspection and price in line or below the others. You feel smarter after doing business with Bavarian Mechanic Works, because youll be more informed about your car and your car will run better. I have older and newer cars, they are experienced in both, so take your car there and you will come away pleased and confident of the work performedThanks,James BrooksMartinez Ga
I recently bought a preowned Audi that gave me lots of problems. After doing the rounds of 3 other Mechanic shops and spending a lot of money without resolving my underlying issue I finally found Bavarian Mechanic Works. Clay is an absolute gentleman and made me feel like he cared about me rather than just my wallet. I now have a car that I love and feel that I can trust to start when I need it. Thank you Clay.
Great company. I had a list of items to be completed for my BMW and Bavarian Mechanic Works handled it like professionals. Always called to confirm repairs before moving forward and made an effort to make sure I was satisfied with all work completed. If you are looking for a shop for your import check these guys out. They are your ticket to repair/maintenance satisfaction.
Cant express how happy I am with my experience!..if you have a foreign car,and want your car to be fixed properly, these guys are the only option in Augusta..i wouldnt take my car any where else..my Cls 55 Amg was leaking Transmission fluid, and they had it fixed within 2 days of diagnostic..and gave me a list of other things that they found..they arent pushy, and dont try to finesse you out of your money like most repair shops!!!..they give it to you cut and dry...if you take you mercedes or bmw anywhere else other than these guys, then you and your car have missed out..patrick,John,and Jeff were amazing!!
It’s very hard to find a company that takes pride in what they do.It’s not only a job or even just a paycheck. These guys are true enthusiasts. They have helped me numerous times with my Preowned Mercedes and every time they were fair with the cost and delivered when promised.I’ve purchased a second vehicle (BMW) and the team at Bavarian will be making sure she stays road worthy and safe. It’s nice to have an alternative to the dealership that actually know what they are doing. Keep up the great work guys, your dedication to excellence is appreciated.
Recently my Audi A4 had some significant engine trouble and needed to be towed. Being relatively new to the area we found this garage and are so thankful we took the car there to have the work completed. Jeff and his team were very thorough at diagnosing the problem and discussing our options at length with both my wife and I. The repair was very complicated but Jeff kept us updated every step of the way, and we received a very fair price for the work completed. Jeff went out of his way to make sure everything was completed to our satisfaction. Highly recommend this garage!
I want to thank Chris for agreeing to work on my not-so-Bavarian Infiniti coupe, and Patrick for a spot-on estimate and easy scheduling. In this world, there are parts-changers and there are mechanics. These guys are mechanics.
I took my Audi A3 here when the alternator died. They were very up front with what the cost would be, gave me a fair price, and did excellent work.
In the time honored tradition of taking advantage of customers, Bavarian Motor works continues to shine. Poor customer service, exorbitant pricing on parts, no credit for part cores, and excessive labor charges. I would recommend this excuse for a repair shop to only those that dont care about money or service and enjoy being lied to.
The mechanic didnt know how to get the winshield wipers to come on...turn the car on first. They told me that I had to buy new ones. Asked me when was the last time I used them? Duh, if he knew anything about a Mercedes-Benz he would have known to put the key in the ignition first then turn the car on to see if the wipers were operable. The Scheduled A & B is supposed to cover replacing any light bulbs. Well after I showed him the bulb that was STILL out, after I paid over $300, they still charged me about $24 dollars for a bulb! Now my car is smoking & its coming through the interior vents! Im scared to take it back to them because Im afraid that they run a scam on me to try to get more money out of me for useless crap!!UPDATE: I want to personally thank Jeff for contacting me about what went wrong on the last visit. First, he apologized repeatedly for my bad experience. He convinced me to give him a chance to fix my Mercedes-Benz. I dropped it off & the next day it was completely repaired. He didnt even charge me for it!! Thank you so much, Jeff. You restored my faith in your business. Ill be back for the next job.
Our BMW has been coming in for service here since weve moved into the area. Theyve serviced the vehicle for the last 40,000 of the BMWs 130,000 miles. Being a mechanically minded person with a passion for cars, Ive never had an issue with their diagnosis or work. They are good, honest mechanics that do good work and back it up. In the Augusta area, they are your #1 dealer alternative for German vehicles.
Unfortunately I did not have that very good experience that others had before. They charged me for reading the service info from BMW iDrive, which anybody can read from the screen of the car. They called it diagnosis of the car, which I think it is a little bit exaggerated.UPDATE:I got a call from Jeremy and he was extremely helpful, he arranged a new appointment and they tested my car for free. I was happy with the service this time, that is why I changed this review. Thanks again!
Just got my 2000 SLK230 back from Bavarian. First time using their company and not the last. They had the car for 2 days and would not quit until they fixed an electrical problem with the roof. I know the charge for the repair would most likely have been higher, but they stuck really close to their estimate. Kudos
Great Service always been able to fix the problem the first time! Fair prices for excellent knowledge and skill!
Another 2 grand dropped on this car. At least the people working here are nice and honest. Hell of a lot more than I can say about Taylor BMW.
These are the only people in town we trust with our BMW.
Excellent service as always!
I generally dont trust other people working on my car after having some bad experiences years ago and just enjoying turning wrenches. I try to DIY everything, take my time, clean the area really well, double check torque values, replace anything else in the area thats worn, etc... But theres been 2 jobs now where specialty tools would cost nearly as much as Bavarian Mech. charged for labor so I let them do it. Both times I had a great experience.Theyre quick, reasonably priced, and at least from the tech (James) that I talked to, extremely knowledgeable. As much as I love Taylor BMWs parts department and employees, Ill be taking my car to Bavarian for any jobs Im not up for.
They did a great job! Highly recommend!
Bavarian mechanics have worked on my Mercedes since 2007 and I have always been happy with their work. Great group of people that I know I can count on!
Took my car in to diagnose erratic revving at idle, rough idle issue. I did not have a check engine light on, which was complicating my efforts to figure out the problem. I dropped my car off and left it overnight. The next day I was informed that they could not find any issue, but suggested I replace a part, even though my current part was working fine as far as they could tell(they told me replacing it was optional and not necessary, but just fyi). I got the car home, only to continue having the same issue. And, I discovered, now my horn did not work(I dont recall if it worked before I dropped it off, so not sure what happened) All in all, I paid over 200 dollars, 107 for an hour of diagnostic labor, and I asked them to change my oil, which was another 100 dollars. So very expensive labor, and did not resolve my issue.(update) As it turns out, bmw diagnosed the problem part correctly. I ordered and installed it myself and the problem went away. I updated my review to 5 stars.
No issues, no complaints always takes great care of my csrs.
Top notch mechanics, polite and professional!!
These guys are GREAT, HONEST, very reasonably priced!! I highly recommend them! For people who care about thier vehicles maintenance done properly! Ive always done my own work on my BMWs & AUDIs, bought the special tools(Ebay); so I knew the job was done right, and I wasnt getting ripped off. I recently had back surgery now (probably from maintaining my vehicles all the time)..IM PROUD TO HAVE BAVARIAN MECHANICS WORKS, as honest as myself; mechanics!
This place was fantastic, the service is great the workers were all very helpful and all at a low cost.
Quick and very good service
This review is LOOOONG over due, and long in its own right.I bought a 2008 328i Sedan in February of 2016. I got a good deal on it based on a pre purchase inspection in which the car required about $3-4k of work. I proceeded to research all independent BMW certified mechanics in the Augusta area. I called several different shops. This one gave me the most honest, good faith estimate for the work of all the shops in the area. I had another local shop change his estimate from one week to the next.I took my car in and I was happy from the first interaction. The guy at the front desk kept in touch with me about my car after I dropped it off. He even handled my somewhat aggressive questions about charges (since I presume a mechanic shop may try to up charge until they prove me wrong) without a single issue.A couple days later, I called to ask for advice when I was replacing my own spark plugs because I found oil around the plug seats. He gave me advice without a single concern about me wasting his time. I ended up taking the car in to have various gaskets replaced.Today, I brought it in for the second oil change since owning it. I realized that I probably should have them check/replace all the critical fluids (trans, power steering, brake, rear diff) since I didnt know when it was last done. The techs noted how bad the power steering fluid was and ran an extra flush through just to make sure it all got cleared.Bottom line, the work performed is top notch. Their timelines are a little longer than I would care for, but then again they seem to have more work than they can handle. Guess that means other people in the area recognize how good a job they do.If I could offer one, small critique to the owner I would suggest setting up a rapid turn around for scheduled maintenance kind of things. Ive never came in with just an oil change to gauge them but replacing a few fluids should be something that could be scheduled within reason. Granted, I did tell the shop that I was flexible, being an amiable person, but maybe theres a processes thing that could be addressed.Last item: these guys offer a military discount. Any shop that will take a little loss on profit to say thank you to our military is worth patronizing and telling others about.
Great service knowledgeable people
Great group of guys very busy shop! but very fair with my time and money.
Great service!
Efficient
A must stop, if you need your Mini worked on!!!
Autobahn downtown is cheaper and better parts. But dont let them upsell you
Couldnt ask for a better group of people to work on my car. I have been taking my Mini Cooper S there for years and they have always helped me out.
Rude kept me on the phone for a while to tell me we cant get appointment for your car after 1 week for small protective maintenace.what else they can do then ?
Good
TRUSTWORTHY !!!!!!!
