Clean, well stocked, plenty of staff, unbelievably low milk prices.

I was devouring their croissants like a fiend as part of my morning routine until... I saw a roach actively crawling across them. So no more lidl baked goods for me. But their frozen Indian dinners mega-slap so Ill still mess with their prepackaged food.

This is one of the cleanest grocery stores that Ive been in! The staff is friendly and always helpful. Nothing but positive vibes when Im in this store. Great produce with prices that are hard to beat. Keep up the good work! You have a great thing going on here!

This was my first time at Lidl. I was in a hurry, but I found both the customers and the staff very helpful and friendly. It was a very clean store. They were out of the weekly special I was looking for, but I saw many things I wanted. I cant wait to go back when I have more time.

Love this place!..Im new to this store and I found everything I wanted..affordable organic foods..great selection of vegan frozen meals for under $5!..for those wanting meat and dairy they have good looking cuts of meat and a wide variety of plant base milks and dairy.

They are always friendly. Very clean in there. Fresh product.

Slightly small but still a decent selection of food. Most of the items are wonderfully priced. I shop there for mostly bread, juice, pasta, eggs, milk, they usually have great deals on those items. The chips and cookies are really cheap as well. Some days the customer service is not all there but I guess it depends on whose working. Its pretty clean. Its one of those bag your own groceries places. The store usually isnt too crowded which I love.

It reminds me a lot of aldi! Today was the first day open, and i loved it! They greet you well! They have good prices, and most importantly they have organic food! They have wide variety of food and clothes. There is a Harris teeter near it and I’d rather do to here bc there prices aren’t as high as Harris teeters! Only reason i don’t give them a 5 star is because the parking isn’t very good. It’s very very small. Other then that i love it! Plus it’s close to where i am at!

Love Lidl for their prices, always helpful and pleasant staff, and the out if the ordinary mix of international and domestic products. The meat department is a specifically cant miss area on any visit, and always give a few minutes for perusing the non grocery area for whatever they are offering on a limited time basis.

I enjoy shopping there. The prices are great, and the food is always fresh.

The best deals in town. Period. Lidl carries the best snacks, at the best prices. A lot of their European products cannot be found in any other stores, not even Aldi. Their bakery surpasses any other grocery store bakery, the pastries are bomb! Half the cost of other stores, better selection. Why wouldn’t you shop at Lidl?

I went to the location in Matthews NC off Margaret Wallace. I usually shop at Harris Teeter across the street. And I will say that I will probable just remain going there especially after yesterday. I decided to go in and get some small stuff. As I was browsing through the clearance section I came across a shoe organizer box that was open. Which there was no way to tell if all the parts were in there. I saw the clearance sticker that said it went from 2.99 to 2.09. I figured what can I lose if all parts are not there. For 2.09 I could figure out how to make it work or just get rid of it. When I went to check out they told me it rang up as 19.99 and 30% off is 16.99. I told the cashier to look at the sticker because it says 2.09. So the cashier called the manager on the walker and the manager said its 16.99. So I asked to speak to the manager. He said someone put the wrong sticker on it. I told him how is that my fault. It was in your clearance section with that price. And the Manager Chris said well we cant let it go at that price. I told him well you need to make sure your employees are doing their job correct because this is not right. Then he started to peel the sticker off as we are talking. I would have understood if the item was in the wrong section not giving the clearance price but it clearly had the sticker on it. Plus the box was open on both sides. So it was there for a reason. Harris teeter would have given it to me and I know that for a fact. As a business they should have ate the cost because it was their fault not the customers. So for this I will not shop there. I will go to my usual store and if I want to go to a place like this it will be Adli that I go to. Just wanted to let you know how a mistake your store and your employee did has lost a customer. I will gladly pay a little extra for my stuff than to deal with this place.

Love this store. Very reasonable price. Got a lot of food for my money. Plenty of parking space. I like to get my salad items from there alone with other vegetables. They have a nice bakery baking fresh goods. Lines goes pretty fast. They do have two Kiosh. I have noticed when I use my onions from there they are bad so Im backing off on them for a while. Worth your whole to shop there. You can almost make it your one stop store. I havent got to that stage yet.

I bought fresh chicken thighs last week from this location and after cooking the chicken for dinner the chicken had a very strong taste of some sort of all purpose cleaner. Then I suddenly remembered when I was at the store there was a girl cleaning the meat area with a strong smelling spray similar to what I was tasting. At the time I didnt think anything of it, because why would ANYONE EVER be spraying the actual meat packages? But apparently the packages of meat are getting sprayed! Im absolutely horrified and disgusted. Bye Lidl, Ill shop somewhere else from now on.

Worst customer service. They will watch you struggle with groceries and wont even help. Employees dont say hello to you, on top of that lidl doesnt have half the stuff you need. At least at Aldi they help you. Shouldve put a nice Walmart here.

Different brand options for dry goods, meats and fish vacuum packed but nice varieties. Fruits look good on both in and out of season options. Organic and vegen options. Bring your own bags or pay to carry your purchases home.

My wife purchased fresh chicken tenderloins from Lidl in Matthews. When I took the chicken out of the package it smelled of a fragrant industrial cleaner. When I opened the chicken it also smelled strongly of the chemical. When my wife took the chicken back they refunded us but they didnt seem concerned about it. It seems that their employees may be spraying the fresh meat packages with cleaning agents. Not awesome.

Had the worst experience and rudest a person in entry way to greet me!!! the employee yelled at me like I have never heard it before. Not only she yelled rudely about the mask at me but was also wearing her mask not properly at the time I entered the store. Instead of yelling and shaking all she had to do is ask me to put on my mask or offer me one since I forgot mine at home. There was 2 people coming out of the register without masks, so why did I get picked on? Masks are not a LAW in North Carolina and people with medical condition have a right to not wear it. If you require your customers wearing mask you should start from your employees wearing them correctly and provide proper customer service. I wish I had time to stay and chat with the manager but I didn’t have time on my Sunday afternoon. Highly doubt I will come back to this location again!!!

This new Lidl off Margaret Wallace is very nice and the staff is super helpful. They also have a Too good to waste area which to me helps cut down on food being wasted.

More expensive than I thought

Went with 2 of my friends to purchase beer. I’m 36, my friends 28 and 37. One of us had an ID because my other friend and I forgot our IDs. The lady at the cashier said she requires all of our IDs for my friend’s beer purchase. I guess I wasn’t white enough. Never coming to purchase at this location.

They recently opened their doors and it became my best Lidl store. Everything is so neat, well designed and organized. Staff is extremely helpful as usual. The bakery department makes a great job. Must try all the croissants and other baked items. The location is very easy to access and parking lot is pretty large enough. Has access (entrance) on both roads Idlewild and Margaret Wallace. The satellite is not updated yet, so don’t think google maps takes you middle of nowhere. It’s there where it takes you. :) Don’t forget your bring your own grocery bag for the items you’ll buy. Otherwise single paper, recyclable bag costs $0.07. If you download the My Lidl app you can get specialized coupons and news for the particular store.

The store is very clean and well laid out. There are markers for social distancing. It is a perfect place for getting your staple food items. A very good selection. Prices are very good and much lower than Harris Teeter or even Food Lion. As with Aldi, bring bring your own bags and bag your own groceries. There is no requirement to pay a deposit for a shopping cart upon entry.

Its another Aldis. The stor is confusing and mixed up with no rhyme or reason.

Great prices and so are the products. Basic essentials like produce and cold cuts are reasonably priced. My only complaint is the checkout. I dont mind bagging myself but if its busy and you purchased a lot of stuff youll hold up the line.

Gives Aldi serious competition. Food is a little high priced but well organized and has a lot of variety. One of the staff was very helpful and polite even took the cart for me after we loaded groceries into my vehicle. Rare since customer service standards have fallen so far...

Lidl recently opened in my area and I have found it to be a good place for value shopping. The produce is fresh and of good quality, they have a good selection of meats and seafood. Being someone who has to shop gluten and lactose free, they have a good selection of almond milk but their gluten free selection is sparse. I will continue to shop here though Ill still have to shop elsewhere to get everything I need.

Clean, veggies and fruit appeared fresh. It did appear they needed to restock on the produce. A lot of stuff was really low.

I really enjoy shopping at Lidl. Great produce section, fun pastries, fresh meat, and other great items. My only wish is that there was more consistency in stocked items. I have a few favorites that availability is hit or miss.

Love this store! Much rather come here than HT, but unfortunately they have been out of a lot of things lately. Thinking it’s a COVID thing, but HT has what they don’t have and of course it’s more $ and time. The organic vegetables have not been as fresh as they used too and I noticed more than 1/2 of the employees wore their mask under their nose.

I was surprised to see the good amount of name brand stuff. Great prices on a lot of things. Had to give it 3 stars because it’s almost 10am and no doughnuts out. I would think those would be the first things on the rack.

If you go here early in the morning no one is here. Great shopping no crowds. Im talking about before 10:30 a.m. I never go later than that. I go to both Indian trail and this one. Theyre both about the same.

To the guy that told me to get off the wheelchair you are the rudest person just because i walk 2 miles to the store didnt believe my feet was hurting. You could of been a little nicer to make me give you the wheelchair instead of screaming & yelling in front of other ppl isnt right ppl are watching you. He should of been kick out of lidl the way he treated me. The wheelchair is for anyone who cant walk or have feet problems. There was 3 other wheelchairs. You could of push her.
