Ken and his team did a terrific job fixing our headlights that seemed to give other local mechanics (including dealerships) trouble figuring out. The price was fair and I always feel they do thorough and honest work. I would recommend this auto repair shop to anyone.

Two weeks, and three calls to see what was going on with my truck, and every time its we didnt find a problem, but well try again. Then Im told we never checked for codes. Never a single call from them, and two weeks, and my truck still is not fixed.

I am a long time shade tree mechanic. Not by preference, by necessity because I wasnt finding mechanic I trusted more than my own home grown skills. I have found them now, and will give the shade tree much more rest in the future.

We broke down just south of Ashland right after my husband had done some work to the brakes on my car. We had used this business once before to have tires installed, and I remembered reading a review at that time from some other stranded travelers who reported that they got amazing service. This happened to us in the late afternoon, so I called to see if we could have our car towed there to have them take a look. Due to the late hour, they informed me that they may not have anyone available to look at it that day, but would be happy to take a look first thing the following morning if we could get it there. After some chat about the logistics of making that happen, they then offered to loan us a car for the night so that we wouldnt be stranded. Everything worked out in a timely fashion for us, so we dropped our car, borrowed theirs, and were told wed get a call first thing the next morning with an estimate for repairs. I received a call by 9 a.m. the next day, and was told theyd have it fixed in a couple of hours. After some delays getting parts, they had my car ready by the early afternoon, and when I arrived to pick up my car, the price was less than what Id been told on the phone. When I commented about it, they said that the parts were less than theyd estimated and the price reflected that. I would have never known the difference, and I felt that this really reflected the integrity of this shop. I would use this shop 100% of the time when needed and I intend to tell everyone I know how great they are! They did not have to squeeze me in like they did, and I am so thankful for their excellent service! Super great, friendly guys also. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. ❤️

I went in for an alignment. They found bad ball joints and notified me first before doing the alignment. They quoted me a price and told me exactly which ball joints were bad. (No charge) Being a stickler I went home and checked the ball joints myself. Sure enough the passenger side ball joints were shot, just like they said. I elected to replace my ball joints myself as I have done this twice in the past. Ball joints are a pain in the butt, however I felt obligated because I could. Went back had the alignment done. Great experience and when needed I’ll go back to Southern Auto Care! I am very pleased!

These guys are awesome! My car started struggling 3 hours into a 12 hour drive, and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to make it back home. My check engine light was on and I couldn’t accelerate up hills at all. My family in Medford recommended this place, and I’m really glad they did! I was able to drop my car off while they were closed, and get back on the road. They gave a thorough diagnostic, with pictures of every issue, and how immediate the problems were. The diagnostic was $79, and they gave me time to decide on what issues to fix. After I gave the ok to start on it, they fixed my issues quickly and set it up so I could just pick my car up on the weekend as I passed through again. The price was good compared to other quotes that I got. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area if you’re looking for a reliable place with fair prices. I never leave reviews, but the people at SOAC were super helpful, thanks you guys!

Immediately after diagnosing my car, Ron hopped on the phone to find the best deal on parts, while Ken took the time to sit with me and thoroughly explain what was happening with my engine. Once the parts arrived, the shop was quick to complete repairs. In the meantime, they where kind enough to provide a loner vehicle in the meantime, whichwas very helpful. They also informed me that, after initial repairs where completed, a test drive revealed an additional issue with my bearings. This was also promptly repaired and only delayed pickup by half a day. It is clear that customer service and efficiency is very much a priority for this shop and I would recommend highly recommend them for prompt and quality service.

Whenever my car needs repairs, I always take it to Southern Oregon Auto Repair. Today I had an oil change done. It took less than an hour. I was greeted by Ken. He was pleasant and efficient. Great service at a very good price!

I drive three hours from Bend, Oregon to have my vehicles serviced. This is also the only location my daughter and her dad take their vehicles to.The best example I can give you for their level of integrity was once when my daughters check engine light came on. Of course we were worried and prepared for it to be bad news.Ken explained to us that the year and make of her car can set off that light when the brake fluid is low. They DID NOT charge us at all and they were right - added brake fluid and the light stayed off.I have had MANY mechanics from dealerships to small local shops really take advantage of the fact we don’t know much about cars.These men don’t do that to anyone.It has been five years now that we have used their company - always professional and the work is done on time or early. Clean area to wait and you can even watch your vehicle being worked on.Thank you Southern Oregon Auto!!

I just popped in for an oil change and trip check this week but have used this great service team for years. Nice waiting room. Comparable pricing.

They were very good and they were able to bill my warranty company. 800 miles from home and only lost 2 days. Most of that was the part being shipped. Communication was great face to face and maybe could have been a little more frequent when I wasnt there. Overall good service and easy to get in and get fixed quickly. I had a wheel bearing go out on a kind of rare all wheel drive car so I was expecting all kinds of trouble. If I hadnt had the warranty it would have been almost nine hundred dollars with everything including overnight shipping.

I boug t a used car from a private party who took that car to SO Auto Care. I am very glad I took the car back to them. I plan to keep up reegular maintenance with them, too.I have confidence in Ken & his staff. Thank you.

We have been really happy with their service. They have been timely and honest regarding needed repairs. I would definitely use them again for future car service because I trust them to be fair on parts and labor.

I recently bought two tries at Discount Tire, they dont align tires but recommended Southern Oregon Auto Care. Made an appointment, they striped a lug nut, charged me $40.00 plus the alignment fee of $79.00 and own my way. When I got home I looked at the tires and discovered that the lower a-frame bushing was shoot and needed to be replaced. This means that Southern Oregon Auto Care did not do a very good job other than charge a customer for an alignment that was not needed until the lower a-frame bushings are replaced. Buyer Beware.

I have had work done on my Infiniti and Subaru within the last two weeks from this shop and it is amazing, excellent prices. Ken is very friendly and always willing to answer any questions I have. The work is done very quick and i get emailed updates on my vehicles so I am always aware on the progress of the vehicles. I recommend this shop for anyone who needs work from regular maintenance to any mechanical problems you have. They are awesome!

Love these guys. I had an electrical problem and those are tailor made for a mechanic to rip you off. I was expecting a $500 bill and it was $70. Simple issue. Thats when I learned they are dead honest. And, Ken is great.

I got my alternator replaced here and i needed it done asap cause i was living in my van at the time and it was still winter, they got it done the day i called within like 4hrs and they didnt even have the alternator on deck they went and got one or something and i think they charged me like 349.99, good people here and good service for sure.

Just went and had an oil change and tire rotation.Excellent service,and all I met there were very professional and courteous. Actually,I had a good time there,AND..........their coffee is good ! Just call and make an appointment,you wont be disappointed.

I was in yesterday for a simple oil change but they also did an inspection at no cost and let me know about some issues that need attention, including some problems with things that had been replaced at another very well-known business in the valley which I am not happy with because I spent so much money at that place getting things replaced and now just a few years later those parts are in bad condition again and I do not drive much, so how did those parts get in bad condition again if they were really replaced with brand new parts that I paid for, I am so glad for the technician at Southern Oregon auto care finding these issues so that I can address them with the other company that did the work, I guarantee I will be back as a customer at Southern Oregon auto care.

Ken and his staff are upfront and knowledgeable, friendly and will go above and beyond to make sure their customer bets the best service. They will patiently answer all questions, explain what they did, and would not recommend unnecessary service if it is not needed. There is a nice size waiting room with toys and coloring books for the kiddos, popcorn, and coffee. I came to SO Autocare from a different repair shop in search of better autocare, and I found what I needed. Thank you to all staff.

Except for a minor fan shroud clip left off (which I found and installed easily), I am very happy with the results of this repair. No pressure for additional work, but I appreciated the recommendation for a couple more maintenance parts while the unit was disassembled. Thanks guys for the help and advice. I broke down on a Saturday and fortunately for me, I was able to pull into their shop area. I notice that the shop was closed and I started the process of calling a tow truck. In the middle of call the owner of the shop came out and asked me what was wrong. I told him I just broke down, I am from CA and need to have my SUV looked at. The owner told me that he could not think of anyone open on a Saturday and told me that he can look at it real quick. He open my hood and told me that it sounded like I pop a spark plug out. He suggested that I could leave it with him and he could look at it on Monday. After a brief discussion, I agreed to leave my SUV with him. We pushed my SUV into his shop, then he asked me if I needed a ride somewhere. I told him thanks for the offer, but I have it covered. While I was waited for my ride, I asked him if he could give a rough estimate on the cost. Not knowing what was exactly wrong, he did. On Monday a technician called me and told me that my SUV was next to be looked at. Since I lived in CA, I told him no worries, but give me a call Tuesday to let me know what they find. The technician called me back on Tuesday, confirmed that the SUV did pop a spark plug, and that they would have it all repaired and done by 1pm or so that day. I told him no hurry do to the fact that I am from out of town and could not pick it up until Wednesday. The technician told me no worries. I arrived Wednesday, the technician went over my bill and told me I was good to go. I drove home that day and was pleased with my service. For being on vacation and not knowing the area that well, I was thankful that the owner was in the shop that Saturday and decided to come out and see if he could help. Remember, the shop was closed. With the owner of the shop helping me out that day, it made my situation much easier on me and my family. And with my car at his shop, I saved money on towing and it didn’t ruining our vacation. I give them 5 stars and highly recommend them if you every breakdown in the Medford area :)

Ive taken our vehicles here for over 3 years and cant recommend them all highly enough. Mostly its been for minor things, but twice in the last 3 months I was pretty sure I needed major work done on two separate vehicles and both times, Ken and Andy and the team down there let me know it was smaller items that needed attention and took care of it. Professional, responsive, great work, better warranty work than Ive had elsewhere ever. Cant say enough great things about this place.

Theyve got great skill in what they do, and they offer their great service at very fair prices.They brought my older car to life after a long time of me trying to get it working myself, and they did so at a great price. Andrew is a fantastic mechanic and we appreciate him being able to look at our car so last minute. He really took the time to diagnose and explain the problems to us and help us way out our options. Plus the waiting room was set up well with Netflix and board games.

I had a bad charging port so I came to this place because of all the good reviews expecting good service. When I told the issue Ken he came in right away and took the fuse out and replaced it for me. It was fixed in 5 mins. On top of that he refused to take money from me. Good service and good business.

We took our car in for there $80 full diagnostics, they stopped about halfway through and said we needed to replace a part before they could finish and it would cost just over $400. We called around and got the part $30. And decided we would install it ourselves. We went to pick up our car and asked how much The guy said full price my husband, disappointed said for doing only half the jobLing story short, never pay for a complete job thats half done like we did and go to Medford Automotive. Better prices, honestly people and quality work

This is what really happened: you guys took my vehicle apart and refused to put it together with the parts I brought unless I purchased the calipers from you! It wasnt just online it was a local auto parts chain that had the parts in stock for less than half what you were going to charge! When I confronted you you said Ive gotta make money somewhere you brought all the other stuff with a smart tone! So tell all the stories you want... bottom line is we talked about a price over the phone before I got there I never said anything about having parts or anything else in fact I told you what I was doing and that I was calling around trying to find the cheapest place! Then after my vehicle is apart you charge me more...lol! As far as mark up and you having to get more fine but not double!!

Ken was very friendly. I am out of town.I come with a weird clutch/transmission problem which fixed itself.Went in 4pm Thur. Ken said they are booked for today, but should come 8am.So I did, they took my car, checked everything what was accessible (clutch, fluids, screws) and evaluated its likely the transmission and thats a $3,000 up and days of work for parts (all this took ~10mins).But that I can take the risk and drive it home. So I did.I paid $0 - zero.

Left my audi with them for 10 days to replace a timing belt while i was out of town on a business trip. Terrible communication from them, everytime I called.yes, no problem, it will be ready when you get back. show up to pick up car and they tell me that they didnt have the tools to do the job.Rotten communication, a total waste of time. Great effort was made to schedule this work and allow them plenty of time to do the job and I am told after 10 days that they can not do the work. This after 4 phone calls, all initiated by me where I was told, no problem, we will have it ready for you.AVOID THIS PLACE .response to owner response....funny that you didnt tell me about the free Oil change. I read about it in your response to my review. That tells me it probably a lie.Not doing the work was understandable...you didnt have the tool...fine. I was very clear about leaving it with you while i was traveling. you had the car for 10 days and we spoke at least 4 times when I would call to monitor progress, of which there was none and i didnt find out until i had returned to pick up the car that the work hadnt been done.I think you are lying about the oil change, otherwise you would have told me when i picked up the car, rather than broadcasting it to anyone who would take the time to read your reviews.I chose your shop based on several reviews. I made a mistake. i had a window to have this work done, I trusted that you could do it. Your communication was the problem, had i known i could have had it moved to a shop that can do the work.... and to tell me via response to a complaint that you changed my oil is ridiculous.

I was on vacation and my Prius malfunctioned with the Red Triangle of Death. I was stuck in Medford without any chance of help with my car for a couple days.These guys were fantastic! I called ahead, and I hadnt even made it through the front door and someone was there with their computer to diagnose my car.They were spot on, and super fast about it.If I lived in Medford, this would be my garage of choice.Highly recommend!
