All the 1 star reviews say it all. This business is the sketchy used car lot of computers. They buy totaled computers and frankenstein them together just enough to get it out the door. Do yourself a favor go to connecting point or even better ebay or Amazon where people cant scam you.

Absolutely tragic had two friends buy a pc and a laptop from this guy a while back and he for some reason always installs Avast onto his pcs. They cant uninstall it now and its already stolen money from my friends bank accounts. Two computers we have to burn and replace now because he installed Trojans onto them and we cant reset them because theirs no back up on them. Save yourself the time and money and just buy from a store. It maybe cheap but in the long run you will be screwed. DONT INSTALL FREE ANTISOFTWARE PEOPLE. If you do buy a pc from this guy do not let him install Avast onto it.

Had an issue with my computer, and called around and got some crazy responses from other places around town.when I finally called Discount Computers they were amazing and told me they have a 24 hour turn around which made me happy since I start college with RCC on Monday. I turned the computer in to them on Thursday and as soon as I got home from running errands which was probably an hour and a half they called to tell me it was done amazing amazing amazing very friendly outgoing my computer runs a hundred times faster and better than it did before the setup looks great Im very happy and I would encourage anyone looking for a place to get their computer fixed to go there theyre super great very efficient I even had to call and ask a question and he answered it and I come to find that hes very knowledgeable I recommend computers to anyone reading this review theyre amazing!!!!

It was expensive. I was told it was going to be $64 but I showed up and had to pay $100.

Easy guys to work with, thanks again*edit November 2020*I had them build a budget gaming computer for my son, again these guys are great. I always prefer spending my money with local businesses and in person transactions. This is the second computer ive purchased and will return if i need a 3rd.

The laptop I purchased was fine, but there needs to be full disclosure on the condition of the product at the time of sale. The battery wasnt charged so I could verify operation at the store. I purchased it anyway. In hindsight, based on the conditions I discovered I question if the laptop was worth what I paid for it. The OS updates had been disabled, so Windows had not been patched with critical updates in over 4-years. OS DVD software was non-functional. I returned the laptop and 3rd party software was installed and associated with the DVD player. After running the critical updates, the OS started throwing errors and became non-functional. I went into the office to share my experience and there was a lady there who told me that I should never run windows updates because it slows down the computer. I pointed out that not running critical updates also opens up yourself to malware and cyber attacks. That response was met with a shrug. I was also told that I shouldnt carry around my laptop while it is on for risk of losing my data. Im not a computer genius, but I have been working on my own systems for years and this exchange didnt sit well. I gave up on getting further assistance and ended up purchasing and installing new OS software myself. Now EVERYTHING is working fine.I think this is a good place, and Rob seems like an honest, good guy, but I did not have a good experience and I think that there is room for improvement. I recommend you ask lots of questions and request a test drive before you commit to buying.

This guy is honest and will tell you exactly what your computer needs, he does free diagnostics too to actually find your problem BEFORE you pay any money. The only place I will go in town for my computer needs. If he doesn’t have what you’re looking for he can build it for Far less expensive than going to Best Buy or one of those stores. he’s been open for 22 years for a reason it seams

He offers free diagnostics, yet doesnt test the cables, and never even suggested that it could be the issue (after going home from the first fix to zero improvement) . Two trips and $150 later, I bought a new power cord, and that was the only problem the whole time. Most expensive power cord ever. Next time, Im going to Geek Squad.

Rob always gives an explanation and i swear its hard to give this guy any money, 3 of the few times i have been there, he didnt charge me, and offered good advice as to what my problem was. Today i brought it to him thinking i needed a video card, WRONG, Rob explained what was up and its fixed. Thank you for running an honest business Rob!!

Dropped off a custom desktop that I had assembled with a new SD drive, since I couldnt get it to boot. Rob got it to load and installed 98se for a very reasonable price and more quickly then I expected.Thanks for your quick and professional service.

Shortly after noon on Monday 9.2016, I took a laptop computer into Discount Computers 3001 Crater Lake Ave. to have an update problem fixed. When I explained that I wanted to be able to update the computer and could they fix it. I was told Microsoft computers shouldnt be updated as Microsoft installs spyware on their updates. I told him that I wanted to be able to update the computer the way I had for the past several years irrespective, and could he do it. He indicated he would call back the next day. He called about two hours later to say the computer was ready. He told me the problem was having the antenna amplifier turn off, I told him I used a direct connection, not the antenna. He then said cleaning up the computer fixed it. About 4:30 PM I took the computer back and ask if he would take another look at it as the only thing that appeared to have been done was an option change to never allow downloads, the opposite of what I ask to have done. He said he wouldnt change it back restating he felt Microsoft installs malware with their updates. I ask that he put the computer back the way it was when it was brought in and that I thought I should get my money back. He said he didnt work for nothing. I repeated I thought I should have my money back as he didnt do what was agreed upon, fix the computer to be able to update. He finally offered to split the difference on the fee, which I accepted thinking it was better than nothing and seeing no other choice.

I had the worst experience ever with this business. My laptop recently stopped charging properly so I took it to them on the 21st of oct. Walker the guy who works there said he could look at it and call me that day which he did he said they would need to order a new part and it would be done by wed at the latest, I did not hear from him all that week so when the next week rolled around I had to call and I left a message on the 30th and he called back to inform me he got too busy and had not started to work on my laptop yet. I said I really do need it because it is crucial to my business he said I would have it by the 1st of nov. When Friday the first rolled around he called to let me know that he just realized that the part he ordered was the wrong one so they were going to get a new part shipped over night which didnt really matter seeing as they are closed on the weekends so he said it would be done Monday the 4th I didnt hear anything all week so I decided to call on Friday the 8th of course no one answered so I left a message at 1pm. I never got a call back so I called 2 more times finally the guy that works there Walker answered at 430 and told me that sadly they were unable to repair my computer and I would have to contact asus to have them repair it for me. I asked why I was not contacted about this and he told me that he had called Wednesday and left me a message I said I didnt get a call or a message from him. He said luckily all that we lost was time which was very upsetting seeing as I need my computer to do my work and it went from taking less then a week to taking 18 days to get my computer back and it was not even fixed. He told me I could pick it up before they closed but I had just gotten to work, I asked if my husband could do it but he would be a few minutes after 5pm to get there because he was coming all the way across town, walker told me he could only stay til 5:10 or else I would have to get it Monday or call on the weekend and hope someone was there so I could pick it up. I said had they of called me back after I left a message that day or picked up one of the times I called I would of been in to pick it up. he said oh well I must have missed your message. I honestly cant believe this place has been in business since 1999 with the way they treat customers and take forever to contact the customer.I would NEVER recommend this business to anyone or would I ever use them again. It took way too long to hear from them and they told me they couldnt fix my computer after having it for 18 days. I would think after they first took it apart they would know if they could fix it, not finally telling me 18 days later.My Husband brought it back home and It was fixed that night by him all that needed to be done was solder a few spots for my charging port.
