The 85/15 burger is a disgrace, stringy and Im pulling sinew and only God knows what else out of my teeth with every single bite. This burger of not one but two big beautiful Angus is ruined.Anyone with ears is going to hear about this.

I took my deer into Meridian Meat Packers for processing on October 16 and picked it up the following week. I was impressed with the helpful attitude of this family run business and their interest in processing my deer with cuts specifically as I requested. The packaging was tight and properly labeled. As expected, the venison is excellent!I was also invited to observe if I wanted to watch the processing. Since I had been referred by friends who have high praise for Meridian Meat Packers I passed on the invite. Also, most years I would process my own deer-- now Im very satisfied with Meridian Meat Packers.Im now hoping for success filling my elk tag and again having this family take care of the processing.

Very rude. We called in advance we were told to bring our meat in for processing. We got there and were told they were full. And told to call the next morning again later than what we showed up today. Would not go there again.

I was extremely disappointed seeing how they packed our deer. They called us a week after we dropped it off to tell us it’s ready. When my husband brought it home we saw that 6 bags of our summer sausage wasn’t sealed correctly, covered in ice, and one had a hole in it. The other place we’ve been to (wasn’t packing large wild game this year) packed all of our summer sausage individually and vacuum sealed so it didn’t get ice all over the meat. This place threw a bunch in one big bag. Also, our pepperoni style sticks were falling out of the bag they put them in. I had to vacuum seal all of that meat on my own with our seal and meal. I called and told them what I didn’t like and all she said was to thaw it out and taste it and if I didn’t like it, they would give us more...really?? Who’s deer would that be? And how long has it been in your freezer? And if your not giving us our own deer then that means we are not getting what you weighed our deer to be originally (bones could be different sizes since you weigh with bones). I’m so disappointed. I pay for cut and wrap and it was done extremely lousy. I will never be using meridian meat packers again and I would strongly urge others not to as well!Update: I talked to the manager and she apologized that the gal I talked to did not inform me correctly. They would not be able to give us different meat and we indeed got our own deer. That’s good news. She asked me what I wanted to do since I already re-sealed the 6 bags of meat on my own. I asked her if she could give us a discount and she said to have my husband come in and she would. Don’t know how much. So he is going in tomorrow to get it.Update: Wow, they gave us almost the entire cost back! That was not expected. Very much appreciated!

Very pleasant folks. Anna was very nice on the phone. Dana was working hard and getting meat to customers quickly. Just one thing. Something on paper for the after wrapping weight for the customer would be cool. The figure verbally quoted to me was about 50% of the hanging weight. My rancher was telling me it should be about 65% which has been my experience from previous purchases. I do believe that I received the correct amount of approximately 113 lbs and I think the figure quoted to me was a bad guess at the processor. God bless you all. I hope this feedback is helpful.

We took an elk to Meridian Meats, and got steaks and burger meat made out of it. the reason for even a couple of stars is that the burger meat was great, but the other cuts were a different story. Im not sure what the process is, but it would appear that a chop saw had been taken to the meat, and the pieces then packaged up. Meaning the bone was still left in the cuts, and im not just talking bone fragments - none of the bone was taken out. Also, no trimming at all was done, rendering the meat literally impossible to eat unless i took the time to trim all the sinew and fibers out myself prior to cooking. Just not something Ive ever run into before, and weve had a ton of game processed over the years. It would be one thing if the prices were lower due to this, but they were on par with other outfits in the valley.

You will neve meet nicer people. They processed our deer, smoked us turkeys, and sell us Jerky and pepperoni. Yum ! Thanks for all the years and all the great service.

Meridian Meat Packes are the best! 5 star program when it comes to wild game processing, chickens, Turkeys and their famous jerky and pepperoni sticks. I grew up next to the plant and have been stopping in for 50 years.

We took our elk here to get processed and had a horrible experience with customer service. I had to drop the elk off for my boyfriend and the man who took in the elk into processing was extremely rude to me and was clearly annoyed that we were dropping off an elk. I gave them our phone number and contact information, and three weeks after the elk was dropped off we had still not received a phone call that the meat was ready. After calling and waiting awhile for them to even find our contact card, they informed me that the meat had been ready for pick-up for awhile. They did not call to inform us. We will not be using Meridian Meat Packers again as they were rude, disorganized, and have terrible customer service.

Called them about game processing. I told them what I had, and was told we were good to go. I show up and a man comes up and asks what do you want? He was definately not a nice guy and treated me very short. Told him I had an elk, and he sighed and said oh great. Came out to the truck, found out there was hide on it and told me they dont take animals with the hide on it. I found this funny as they take livestock for slaughter all the time. He said too bad and then curtly left. Ill never go back. There are better meat processors in the area.

Meridian Meat Packers butchered a beef for us this fall. The prices seem good, but I am very disappointed in the customer experience. I had to work hard to get a hold of the butcher to give them instructions on the cuts, and finally was able to make contact (awkward phone call). I am used to a butcher being the professional going through a questionnaire with me to get all the cuts of meat sorted out that you get from a full beef. This was not the case with Meridian Packers as they said they would do the standard cuts, i was assuming skirt steak, flank steak, brisket, etc., but when I got my beef, it was only steaks, roasts, ground beef, and carne asada. I asked where did my brisket go, he said ground beef, and that I should have asked for it. I tried to go through multiple cuts with them over the phone, but they said they had it, and most I asked for werent possible. I am very disappointed as now I have a beef that will last me for over a year, and some of the best cuts were simply ignored and turned into ground beef.

Took my elk there this year and it was a terrible experience beginning to end. They are double the price of other butchers around town, terrible customer service, and the quality of the cuts is sub par. I paid 415 bucks to have my elk processed and they didnt even trim the meat its still full of bones. Wouldnt suggest this place to my worst enemy.
