After having a few marble/granite companies failing to follow through with providing prepaid for product, we came across Advanced M&G and they delivered on all fronts making them a true Godsend. They were all professional, quick (considering the current pandemic), and with great prices (saving us hundreds less than the previous companies). We are so happy with the results of their fine work, and are now looking forward to having them update the rest of the houses surfaces. Thank you to Alex Hernandez for for his attention and follow-thru making sure the job was completed to our liking, and making us very satisfied customers who are now quick to recommend A-M&G to anyone who needs this service.
This company installed countertops in my kitchen and two bathrooms. Everything turned out so beautiful and I’m pleased with the outcome. The installers, Michael and Arron were so nice and professional. The office staff kept me in the loop for my schedule. Chris followed up with me afterwards to ensure I was happy with installation, which I really appreciated. Great customer service which is hard to find in this day and age. I would highly recommend this company and would use them again.
Angie was great to work with, she delivered what she promised. She was patient with my questions and responded quickly via email or phone call when I contacted her. The team showed up when they said they would, they had the job completed on time and stayed in budget. I love my new counters and would definitely recommend Advanced Marble and Granite!
We used Advanced Marble & Granite to install granite countertops for our home kitchen remodel, and our experience was a disaster from the first day they came onto our property. The installation of a simple U-shaped counter, which should have taken 3-4 hours, took nearly 11 hours to complete. During this install, they created a big blowout in the granite, which they tried to cover with epoxy to hide it from us. It was poorly hidden and looked horrible. They carelessly created scrapes all over our new cabinets. At some point, one of the installers cut himself and left blood smeared on the cabinets. When they half-attempted to clean up the blood, they used ACETONE to do the job, removing the cabinet paint, and we had to have our cabinet guy come back out to fix their mess. The next day, they sent their manager Chris to come make everything right. When he arrived, he said the counters had been screwed up by the installers and had to be re-cut from a new slab. Chris admitted that they had sent their B-Team to install our counters and that they would send people who actually knew what they were doing for the second install. This second install was shorter, but when the installers were leaving, they pointed out several bar marks where the stone had rubbed against the steel supports that hold the granite upright in transit, creating shiny lines on an otherwise honed, uniform surface. Chris said he could fix it. He also said Advanced would do as much work as it took to make the counters right.Unfortunately, while he was trying to fix the counters, he created new problems. In the process of buffing out the bar marks, he created dull areas on the countertop and then said that he couldnt see these new marks.Next, Chris used a sealer on the granite and left undried streaks that he assured us would even out as it dried. The next day, the countertop was hazy and faded. Chris then called the rep for the sealer company to ask how to fix the problem. The rep told him that he needed to apply more sealer to fix this haze problem. When we expressed our doubt that this would fix the problem, Chris then called another person with the sealer company who told him, no, more sealer isnt the answer. He needed to use a cleaning scrub to strip the misapplied sealer. Chris then said hed be back with the scrub to try that and see what happens. To make small talk between parts of the job, Chris thought it would be appropriate to ask my wife and I why we dont have kids. We dont make it a practice to discuss something this personal with strangers, much less one that was causing this much irritation and inconvenience. Completely inappropriate and unwelcome. He also congratulated himself on a job well-done by saying his granite repair work was damn titty. Charming. After initially saying he would do whatever it takes to make the counters right, the following week he changed his tune and refused to schedule more work on the counter fixes until Advanced was paid in full for the project. This demand was insane given that the counters still had sealer haze all over them, several areas had been sanded down too much from when he had to remove the bar marks, and they had not provided us with our remnant from our initial 2-slab purchase. This left us to deal with Angie in their office, who was impatient, rude, and dismissive. She said the Advanced rep we originally worked with and had promised us the leftover remnant of the granite slabs to be used on our bathroom vanity had quit since initiating our project (who can blame her for leaving?), and anything she had promised us would not be honored since she doesn’t work for the company anymore. She was condescending both to us and our general contractor. We dont want anyone else to make the mistake of using Advanced Granite & Marble. They are the nightmare everyone wants to avoid in their remodel project, and we hope you can learn from our huge regret.
First time home builder, I really appreciated the time Alex took to help me know what sizes I would need, etc. I was under-prepared for my pick-up, and the crew was super patient and helpful in getting me loaded and out. I bought pieces from their remnant sale, and so I’m super excited about the value!
Update: Waiting for resolution and currently working with Alex, our salesperson, who is working very hard to retain our business.
They crew at Advanced Marble & Granite was great to work with. My project was larger and the crew stayed way late to make sure it was all installed in one day. They also took a lot of care not to damage anything as they were moving around the heavy countertops. I would recommend them and I will use them again.
Appalling service and zero ethics. Think twice before engaging this company. I used their services for new countertops - poor work, awful customer service and they dont respond if you call. I regret ever having any contact at all with them. The worst.
I walk in to AM&G with a small job-- put an under-mount bar sink in an existing counter in my home. I was ready for the brush off were too busy but instead, Angie and later Nick treated me like I was their most valued customer. They did a great job for a fair price. The reinstall team was great too. Consummately professional. I wish there were more businesses like Advanced around these days.
I found the people there easy to work with. They did a quality job
My first experience with them was great, the second experience was terrible. They were unable to get the countertops cut correctly, add poor communication to the mix and I will not be working with them again. They still have an item of mine from the attempted job that I have been trying to get back for 8 months now.
Advanced Granite installed the granite in our new home. When we moved in Feb 1, 2015 it looked great. In less than six months one of the seams in the kitchen countertop developed a 1/16 gap. I called Advanced Granite and they sent a man out to take a look. He said the wall had moved opening the seam. He gave me two options: fill the gap with putty or pop the slab loose and reposition it to close the gap. I asked him to pop the seam since the putty would be very noticeable. He came back a week later and, while we werent looking, filled the seam with epoxy. It now looks worse than the open gap. I called and asked them to come and fix it right as wed asked. I even offered to pay for the repair myself. They promised to have the repairman contact me and thats the last Ive heard from them. Now were stuck with an ugly, epoxy-filled seam in the middle of our kitchen counter. It is noticeable from across the room. Its not even smooth - cleaning cloths hang up on the seam. Ill be contacting a more reputable company to fix the countertop.
Counter tops look amazing. Beautiful installation. Advanced Marble & Granite was great to work with.
If you are a homeowner or a contractor, do business with any other granite fabricator or installer other than Advanced Marble and Granite. This is by far the worst experience I have had with any company. They took almost a full calendar year to complete a kitchen and bathroom granite install. They could not meet a single deadline causing a delay and ultimate cancellation of a family vacation. AMG ordered the wrong granite to begin with, and through a circus of missed appointments and lies, eventually resulted in me needing to hire another company to finish installing. Over the course of this job I compiled the list of stories and outright lies told by this company including an attempt to overcharge on an invoice, and it is astouding. There are many other options in the Treasure Valley to choose from. How this company has remained in business based on their performance and ethics is quite the feat. Stay away from AMG.
AMG did all of the work for our jewelry store and we will always regret working with them. The list of mistakes and poor customer service are too long to list in full. After our first choice of slabs fractured during cutting it all went downhill from there. When they arrived to install the marble table, cash wrap, and design bar each and every one was cut completely wrong. They had to drag it all back out and recut it delaying our opening even further. When they came to install it the second time the corner of our design bar had been chopped of at an angle instead of the curved radius cut clearly printed in our plans. To top it off, the guys who did the installation messed up the entire cash wrap. It looked TERRIBLE. Several other contractors who were working on other projects all commented on how bad it looked and told us to get AMG back in to try and fix it. We know that some chipping along edges is normal, but it looked like someone had taken a hammer to it. They tried to finish it by filling all the edges with a clear epoxy which only highlighted the problem more. They had to bring in a private contractor to fix it and he just shook his head in disbelief when he saw everything they had done wrong. As for the chopped corner on the design bar they said they could try to find another slab and recut it and that was the last we heard for a full month. When I did hear from them they offered no apologies when they said they had not found a slab and were in fact a bit annoyed that they hadnt heard from us and, so, where do we stand with you?. What the heck? They failed in every way to deliver the promised product and cant even fix their mistakes. I would think they would be saying, How can we make this right?. I told them that we would accept a discount but that we were not happy about any of it and I told them they really needed to call my husband and talk it over with him. They said they would, didnt, and instead just sent over the bill that afternoon. The discount was not that impressive and did nothing to make us feel better about the whole stressful experience. Our GC and our interior designers have since gone elsewhere for their projects. We will never recommend AMG.
Solid *wink* business
