Although service crew was GREAT. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I went by for service left our car and decided we wanted to see if upgrading was an option, of course browse and drive. Robert in the front desk decided to give me a giggle when we told him about the car we were interested in looking at, he right away asked what our credit was i said we want to test .at first he was walking back to go get keys as i continued to talk i told him we want to keep our options open {credit and prices was not a problem} he then said the car had low miles and they didn’t want people test driving THAT car i just said forget about everything …. i’m very disappointed with acura and will never go back to that location again i’ll just drive the hour to elmhurst illinoiswho’s to say if i would’ve liked the car if i would’ve came by tomorrow for it.

I called ahead and inquired for a used vehicle. Everything was going well, and they assured me it was available. After further discussion, I placed a deposit on the vehicle. One strange thing was that there was some misalignment internally on what a deposit does. The sales agent I spoke with claimed it just holds the price of the vehicle and another said it reserves the vehicle to avoid sale. This is strange, and just seems like a ploy to get me to sell the vehicle as fast as possible. After calling later that day to discuss the paper work, I find out that the vehicle had already been sold. This was frustrating because they had taken down my FINANCIAL information and I had spent quite some time into the vehicle. They attempted to sell me another vehicle instead, but was not compensating or lowering the cost of the vehicle that much. The most only being $300. Only reason that this review is not a complete 1 star, is because one of the sales agent apologized and tried his hardest to remedy the situation. Ive completely given up on the Acura brand and decided to go to a different brand.Advice to management: I dont know how your deposit system works, but please get your employees to be aligned on what the policy is AND who has it reserved.Advice to new buyers: Call multiple sales agent and see what the common consensus is about a cars availability and what the deposit system is. It might save you from getting your hopes up.

Matt the sales manager was a liar and bull sh!t artist at best. He tried forcing me into a 25000 mile a year lease and refused to disclose my interest rate offered by Chase bank. The finance agent and our salesman followed suit. While I think Acura’s are great cars, I will never set foot in this dealership again. Pure sales trash.

:-) Hello, my apologies for my delay in writing this review, but I would be remiss if I did not. I’ve had many dealings with car dealerships, different brands, as well as other Acura dealers and this one is definitely one of the best. If youre looking for a great dealership with excellent customer service, Muller Acura of Merrillville is your dealer. Im a consumer that requires a lot of patience, :-))). Im attached to my 2003 MDX Acura, did not have a car note, and my truck have over 200+ miles, and am still running great. Of course, I was not in a hurry for a car not, but did not want my vehicle to go out, and not have another available. Initially, we entered the dealership; we were greeted right away by a new salesperson, Al, who was absolutely great to speak with, as well as, on the test drive. We felt comfortable with him, and he was not pushy. He seemed to be knowledgeable, but we can tell he was new at the job. When Al was out of the office, he had another salesman, by the name of Stephan assist us, who was also great. He was a veteran salesman, so of course, he was more knowledgeable. After locating the vehicle I wanted and decided upon, I was not at the point of purchasing, until I met with the manager Mat who explained somethings in detail as it pertains to finance. I work in corporate finance, and am aware how things work, but because of Matt his customer service, patience, kindness, and knowledge; I finalized the deal and purchased my new vehicle. My next to last meet was Jimmy of Finance, who was great as well, and completed the transaction accurately, and expediently. Last was Mike, service manager who delivered my truck to me. Each and every member of the team was ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! It was around Christmas, therefore I wanted the works, a bow and everything, and Matt made sure it happened. Again, thanks to each and every one of you for the excellent customer service provided. God Bless you all and your families.

Amazing is an understatement. Two people you need to deal with: Larry S. In sales and Matt K the manager. I had the best experience buying my new Acura from them.Mike P in service is amazing and Amy the concierge is amazing too. The atmosphere is welcoming and sophisticated, all of the people named are key players to this dealership.I’ve never been treated so kindly and honestly... Carl was a great help. I was in a hurry to leave to pick my daughter and he didnt do the typical salesman and make me wait around. He rushed and got the deal done for me. Mr. Schultz was also very helpful in finance/warranty willingly explaining all the terms. He had all the paperwork ready when I came back so it would be an easy, quick in and out. I will definitely be back for my next vehicle.

Turns out the dealership won their national award on smiles and head nods. We were dealt a lot of lip service and yes, of course before we realized that we were not only lied to about what they said they would do but common sense escapes their ability to schedule and prioritize what the customer needs done.Needed a standard A1 service, check 2 minor issues plus a vibration we have felt in the steering previously, as well as have a body shop quote a minor bumper issue.Both the service coordinator, Todd, and the service manager, Mike, told me at drop off and on the phone that theyd drive it themselves to help assess the vibration issue. I picked the car up 1 week later, neither of them had tested the car and the vibration occurred once I drove off the lot.Mike and Todd told me that the body shop wasnt called until the other issues were taken care of. The car sat in diagnose for 2 days, parts ordered on a Friday. Parts dont ship over the weekend. The car was finally worked on Tuesday and that is when the body shop came out.The car sat for ONE WEEK before the shop came out. I spoke to the shop, they told me that if they called sooner, I could have had the work done this week before we needed the car as we are moving out of state.

These guys are rock stars!!! Honest!!! Yes I said that about a car dealership. I contacted another dealership in Indy the day before and they agreed to a price by phone but went back on their word. My husband and I came to Acura on a Saturday afternoon in need of a new van. Patty, Glen, and Steve surpassed our car buying expectations. They knew we were going on a long family trip and were committed to our comfortable and safe excursion. They stayed late so that we would have the van for our trip. Patty made sure we understood the technology and benefits after hours. The service and excellence of this dealership is unsurpassed! We had a tire go bad while we were driving. We contacted Patty, who gave us her own personal number, and she talked to the owner. They not only reimbursed us for the tire, they also reimbursed for our unexpected hotel stay as well! I took my car into Mueller Acura dealership in Merriville, IN to get my brakes repaired. I knew I would be paying a little more because I was going to the dealership and I was ok with that. However when the service consultant told me it would cost $1700 to repair my brakes and do an oil change, I was stunned!! I questioned the service consultant as to why the cost was so high and she tried to explain that I needed to replace basically everything and I had to do all of it at that time. If I needed all that how was I able to drive in the place and leave. Long story short I refused to get it repaired at Mueller. I took my car to another place and paid far less and I was told I didn’t need the majority of what Mueller dealership said I needed to repair my brakes.. At this point I was infuriated and frankly disappointed.I don’t trust this dealership any longer and will NEVER return. They wanted to charge me $1700 initially to repair my brakes and eventually they reduced it to $1300 after I told them how outraged I was with the quote. Plus I didn’t need all the work they said I needed to repair my brakes.CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!! Especially females that aren’t savvy about auto repairs.

My experience at Muller Acura of Merrillville was the best experience I have had buying a car in my entire life. I walked in on Christmas Eve and the service I received was amazing. I recently bought a pre-owned vehicle from Muller Acura Merrillville. I found the most amazing 2006 Dodge Ram while looking to own my first truck. It had a great price on it already and we were still able to negotiate an amazing deal! The staff was super nice and my buying experience went smoothly. Whoever is there servicing the cars is not doing a good job. This was my 3rd experience being there for two hours and getting absolutely nothing fixed on my car. I always get told to come back for things that can be fixed the same day. I literally left this place after waiting two hours went to a local car shop and they fixed the problem in 15 minutes. I honestly feel like this place only cares about money and not fixing the problems. All of the staff is nice EXCEPT for Matt. After 3 bad experiences I do not plan to go back here.

So, I was 95% ready to purchase a Lexus SUV at a dealer located about a quarter of a mile west of this dealship. On my way home, I happened to see a similar vehicle on their lot facing the street. I pulled in and talked to a very inexperienced but helpful salesman. I decided that this was the perfect car for my needs and I decided to purchase from them. I had the cash to pay in full, but wanted to finance about 60% to help re-build my credit. They were able to secure a loan from a California lender which was great.The problem was when I came to pick up my new car, the sales manager had to tell me that this deal (at 19.8%) was a gift and that I should be very thankful that they were able to finance me at all! Really??? You should be thankful that I gave you the gift of my business when I could have bought any car in a 500 mile radius. Also, they gave me the wrong Carfax paperwork on the SUV and when I discovered that the back up camera on my vehicle does not work because it had been in an accident, their response was basically, too bad!I love my car but cannot recommend this dealer at all!Hows that for a gift?

Our goal was to find a reliable vehicle for our daughter as she begins her first year of college. I was greeted by Justin and Stephan, they were very knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend them both. My experience with the sales GM was not good. He was not professional to me during the approval process and insinuated my credit was not good enough for approval. I later mentioned to him his comments were not appropriate and he defended his comments. I dont recommend anyone doing business with him because he can make the entire dealership look bad. I like the dealership and the others there but dont work with Matt if you can help it. Ask for the owner.

I purchased a vehicle which had a tire light on. They told me it would go off when it was driven. I drove it and it was still on brought it back and told them I had to leave soon. They told me they would fix the car and get me out quickly. 2 hours later missed dialysis appt ..manager could care less!

In December of 2014 I visited Muller Acura of Merrillville to test drive an MDX. I was currently in a car and wanted to possibly get an SUV. I test drove the MDX and loved it! The salesman was very nice and knowledgeable about the car. I decided to wait until after Christmas to buy anything new. They called to follow up and I told him I wanted to keep my car but if I decided to buy anything I would be back. In December of 2015 I went back to see what purchasing options were available now that I was in a spot financially to get a new car. Patty asked what type of vehicle we were looking at and took us out to a few cars. After finding the perfect car (which wasnt hard because they had lots to choose from) the rest was a breeze. The financing department was great and very helpful. The entire process was quick and easy making my first car buying experience a great one!I will be returning to Muller Acura without a doubt.

When Muller Acura came to Northwest Indiana I was very excited because I could get my Acura serviced without traveling far. Since, I go there regularly for service now and was treated very well by Mike P. I knew when it was time to replace our current car it would make sense to start there. Glen, the owner also treats us with the utmost respect, and, is VERY fair with us! But, this time we had the opportunity to meet our salesperson Justin. For a young man, he truly knows his stuff! He is the one phenomenal Salesman. Courteous, kind, sincere, and eager would only describe a few words for him. The service department at Muller is incompetent and not trustworthy. I had my wife’s MDX there 2 week’s ago for an ($80, mind you) oil change. With the inspection, I intentionally asked the service person about the tire pressure and the battery. We were heading to MI for Christmas and I didn’t want to have any issues. Service person said tires were all good and battery was fine.Christmas Eve, we get in the car to go to MI and I get a warning light about tire pressure being low. Had to stop and get air before we left.In Michigan, we go to move car in driveway on Christmas Day and I get a warning light about replacing battery. Took to battery store and had it tested, more than 200 amps short of what it should have been. The professional at the battery place said there was no way this battery would’ve tested fine two weeks prior.All of the problems I specifically wanted to avoid by having the car serviced by Muller surfaced as problems for me. When I called about it, I got transferred to the parts department. They told me Mike Powell would call me back, but it’s been two days and I still haven’t heard from him. It’s evident that this dealership is only interested in making money and not satisfying customers. Can’t even return a phone call.I have leased a TL, RDX and purchased an MDX from Muller but I’m done. Won’t even be returning for service going forward.My advice, don’t buy a car from Muller and DEFINITELY don’t have your car serviced at Muller.

I went iback for regular maintenance because I got a code alert on the dash indicator. I was told it was oil change and something about a rear differential. Over 2 hours waiting at dealership with little explanation. I was give an apology and a discount.Driving home I heard a loud squeak every time I turned left. It only got worse so I called and was told to bring game it in. Another 2 hours and finally an not offer for a rental. It took 5 days to fix the problem and I had to call regularly to get any idea of when the car would be ready. On pick up no one could tell me what was the problem. Finally the machan came out and said that when they put the car on the lift for the oil change the strut came out and was not replaced. It was broken and had to be replaced. Driving home it started to squeak. It still squeaks.

None of the maintenance on my 2015 Acura ILX was included as promised, plus the internet sales manager repeatedly harassed me for my car asking if I wanted to sell the vehicle when it was a lease so it didnt really make any sense. my 2001 civic had a better audio system and I had that car in high school not to mention it was 14 years older.
