Contacted dealer about 2017 GMC Yukon. I am 750 miles from the dealer so I was an internet buyer. I had several questions for Joey and he did his best to answer my questions and also sent several pictures to me. Once I arrived at the dealership, it was raining that day but the dealer had the vehicle detailed and was inside so I could see it cleaned up. Allowed me to test drive the vehicle before doing any paperwork. Once the paperwork was started, I expected to have a strong sales pitch for other products and services. No pitch was made but I did feel they would have gladly provided any information about any other product or service I may have been interested in. So far everything has been great working with this dealership. However, since I am an out of state buyer, I am still waiting on my title and necessary paperwork to register the vehicle in my state. Hopefully that goes as well as the rest of the deal. Would recommend doing business with.

I did my research so I was prepared when I contacted Joe. Keep in mind that my experience occurred during the auto chip shortage. Shaver sold to me at a reasonable price for a car I love. Because of low inventory nationally, negotiating was pointless. If I didn’t buy, someone else would have. That being said, I am satisfied with my price and my experience.. Joe was friendly, accommodating and not pushy. I couldn’t say that about other dealerships I contacted for my Mustang purchase. Ask Joe about my connection to that make and model.

After an extensive search for a larger truck to tow our camper with, it came down to 2 dealerships who had what we were looking for. We went to the first unnamed dealer and it just wasnt it. The truck was nice, overpriced, had a sunroof and matched the camper. Other campers notice if you dont match. They can be very judgey. Not really, Im just picky. But between semi pushy sales people and very loud music plus no wow factor with the truck, it was a no. So off to Shaver Preferred Motors we went. I had previously inquired about a trucks availability. Kurt responded.( Im not sure how we ended up with Kurt, but Im glad we did.) I immediately saw a beautiful shiny brown Ram. (It didnt match our camper,but Ill get back to that.) Kurt set us up with a test drive right away. Since only one person at a time could drive, I was the designated passenger. My surgically repaired almost bionic body put it to the test, and the truck passed. Smooth as silk ride, heated seats and beautiful interior all rolled into one. This was it! Dream truck had been found with no pushy sales people or crazy loud music! But, alas, Mother Nature and her tornado warnings presented a little setback. We returned bright and early Monday morning to seal the deal. Kurt was so friendly and accommodating through the whole purchase process. (I think he may have hoped for an invitation to go camping out west, but Im sure he would have been a great salesperson anyway) The bottom line is this, weve already started spreading the word about this great business. Cannot say enough good things about their customer service! I was greeted warmly when walking in. My salesperson was Joe. He was nice. Listened to what I had to say and my concerns. Did not try to sale me extra. Explained everything when it came to the signing the paperwork and answered my questions( which feels like it can take forever and a day)Buying process: I completed the online application for the car I wanted which made the buying process about 1 hour maybe 1 and 20. Which is half the time I’ve spent at other dealer ships. The last car I bought I was there about 5 hours.Upon arrival: when arrived the car I selected was ready to be test driven. They took my old car for a test drive as well. Which did not take long. I was not bumbarrted soon as I walked on the lot which is nice. Some people like to be spoken to as soon as their feet hit the pavement I do not like that. I was simply greeted with a nice “hello” and went right in.Making the deal: I did not feel haggled or forced. I did put down more than expected, however my credit isn’t the best due to student loans which is understandable. All in all I feel I got a pretty good deal. Which I could not find at other dealers without a extremely high car payment. Negotiating the car payments were not a haggle. They did not attempt to upsale me anything other than what I came in for. (Some dealers like to push the “extras” like detailed cleanings or extra for seat warmers ) They did not. The company is great and I plan on going back for my next car.

I spoke to Kurt over the phone. He stated that not only did he have my desire car but will give me a good price. When I arrived at the dealership he changed his story and said that he does not have the car but has numerous supply of another car that I did not want. I asked him, why did you tell me you have it, when you knew you didnt? So instead of answering my question, he went and got the hippie looking manager. The manager then apologize for not having the car I wanted then stated the same thing Kurt said. I told the manager that I just dont understand why he didnt just tell me he didnt have the car. (Clearly, it was a Bait and switch method in order to even get me in, they just thought I wasnt smart enough to recognize it.) Immediately, the manager didnt answer my question, then attacked me psychologically. He started to call me angry hinting that I was being an angry black women all because I asked why and didnt purchase the car that they wanted me to purchase. I recommend that you just go to another dealership right down the street from this one. Its more straightforward and even has the down payment on an outdoor sign. If you are considered another race than white. I would definitely skip this one.

He was quick to show us other SUV options, when we learned the SUV I was looking for had sold weeks ago, and never updated on my cars app. Never once did we feel pressured by anyone, which is huge when you are in the beginning phase of buying a car. And then checking out I opted out of the full coverage policy. Because it was a little bit too much for me. Then I got in the vehicle and noticed the blower motor was stuck on would not shut off. So I went back into their building, and told him about it. Because I havent left yet. They said no problem they would take care of it. Very very happy with their service.
