The Lens Crafters store located inside of the South Lake Mall in Hobart, Indiana has a incredible work force. From the time I walked in until my purchase was completed I was treated with a warm welcome and courteously. The eye exam was completed professionally with explanation of what was being examined and without being rushed. Probably the best eye exam I ever had. The equipment is all updated technology, no guess work. The final fitting and choice of frames, lenses was also a welcomed experience. Thank you all for your outstanding job.

The whole experience was great. All the staff was so friendly and helpful. This was so much different than an experience I had at a different optical a year ago. So refreshing to be treated like a valued customer and to have such helpful staff ensuring that you get the right fit and prescription. And they have a great frames selection with some nice discounts. Highly recommend!

Best optical experience yet! Dr. Rodriguez found found perfect xontwxt does my astigmatism. Debbie was so helpful with picking out a stylish frame that really accentuated my face. Great professionals!

This is a great place for exams and glasses. Its easy to schedule an exam online. The exam itself was quick and thorough. My doctor took time to hear my concerns and was very good at explaining the results. From there, I easily found frames I wanted at a good price. Then I was fitted by avery competent young man. He applied a special that saved me several hundred dollars. Easiest, quickest, and best experience ever! I highly recommend.

I had my eye exam at Costcos Optical department and brought my script in for glasses at Lenscrafters. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a very friendly employee. They allowed me to look around without bothering me, just checking in periodically. I found a great pair of glasses with help from one of the employees. Once the glasses came in, I was having trouble adjusting to them and we realized that the Costco doctor had under-prescribed my glasses. I had to return to Costco to have my script updated and Lenscrafters replaced my lenses for free! Next time I will have my eye exam with one of Lenscrafters doctors. Will always recommend this place for glasses. The prices are great and they have a huge selection to choose from (I had trouble making a decision because of too many choices!). Cannot say enough good things about all of the employees. Ive dealt with a different person each time, and each one was very helpful and never made me feel like a nuisance.

There are many varieties of frames to choose from, which made my decision that much difficult. Not saying that is bad things because I would definitely recommend LensCrafters for those looking for great frames with many options. The staff is awesome and always friendly.

Would have been nice if first employee we dealt with would have been more helpful. I had to ask what size his frames were and what numbers meant. From then on I was the one helping him get correct size etc. Once that was done, she finished at the desk. We had to return glasses because there was a flaw in lens. Saw flaw as soon as we got home. Marc was very nice and took care of the problem and we picked up replacement pair. Then We had to return 2nd pair another flaw on edge. We ordered new lens and had them cut to fit in store, while waiting after new lens came in. This time Maggie cut lens to fit while waiting. All the trips there and back(6) times was frustrating. Well we are back again middle of May, and flaw started again. They replaced the lens. I am starting to think the bronze coated frames are causing a chemical reaction. We should have just got our money back after 2nd time and was under the 30 day return policy. They should also have suggested it. I can only hope this pair is o.k. we have been buying from Lenscrafters for over 20 years. Never had a problem like this.

The sales woman was extremely kind! even with COVID-19 she still allowed me to try on glasses and put them in a bin to be sanitized afterward. she was super quick to put all of the information into the computer and take a picture of the frames with the measurements.

I had recently had bad experiences at another chain of eye service providers and was just ready to cry again that morning but I thought let me try Lens Crafters. I called and from the moment I was told I could come in that day (Saturday) without an appointment and pick out my glasses, I was so very happy. The address was just a few miles from my home in a location I felt comfortable if not with my husband. The store was clean and the sales woman just made me forget all about what I had been going through over the last month. Thank you, Thank you.

The staff here is incredibly helpful and caring. After forgetting to pack contacts during a trip to Valparaiso, I called this store in a panic. After getting my prescription from my home optometrist, they helped me by giving me some trial contacts to get me through my trip. I am so grateful for everyone here for taking the time to help me despite not making a cent from my visit. Id highly recommend this location to any locals looking for optometry related services.

The last 2 times Ive been there, Ive waited over an hour past my original appointment time! Even showing up 15 to 20 minutes early to fill out paperwork! Dont waste your time here, literally!

The manager was very unfriendly & unprofessional and rude! She did not acknowledge us, the customer. When she found out they dont take our insurance, she turned her back towards us and didnt bother to help us further. We could have been a potential out-of-pocket buyer....2 potential buyers (there were frames we were eye-balling. Two each: glasses & sunglasses). Also, it was towards the end of their day and it felt like she wanted to get rid of us. It makes us not want to set foot in Lenscrafters again. No one deserves to be treated that way, especially customers.

I had a wonderful experience at this store. They carry the glasses I like, have weekend hours and get your glasses ready while you shop. Best of all, their customer service is absolutely above and beyond. The two ladies who were there when I visited today as well as the doctor were extremely kind to my daughter and I. I will definitely be returning and recommending this location to others because its the type of service you would hope for from a family business combined with the convenience of a mall location.

Have gotten glasses there in past and gotten good service. Purchased glasses on Sat. and when the glasses were finished I was just given the glasses to put on. Had to ask for adjustments to be made. In the past the staff made sure that the glasses were centered on your face, that they fit behind your ears and had you read to check the bifocal position. Dont think Ill go back again.

Terrible service! High prices!I came in twice to look at frames, the first time, I walked out after a half-hour, when no one even attempted to help meWhen I finally got my glasses, a week after ordering them, they scratched the lenses while adjusting them!!! So I had to wait another week for new lenses!! They did not offer me anything for my trouble. I hate to say it, but Wal-Mart is better and cheaper

Im 49, and this is my first pair of glasses...ever. I did this because the eye strain from my monitor was affecting my job. Id been written up twice. The neighboring establishment that does the exams...no complaints. LensCrafters, on the other hand. Glasses ordered on the 16th of last month. I knew this wasnt a one hour place. Its not a same day place either. I was told 5 to 7 days. I called after 10 business days. Lady acted like she had no idea what I was talking about. At 15 days, all they could say is that they were shipped the day prior....I was terminated 3 days ago. My glasses are in today,(21 days). Thanks LensCrafters...(smdh)

I went to get contacts and exam. They took my insurance card but then DID not tell me that they did not honor my insurance until I was finished with the exam. The owner was rude and said that her employees would not have make a mistake like that and would not return my money or even half of it. Do not go to this Lens Crafters. Dishonest Business

I only gave it one star because the customer service was ok but the delivery is horrible I waited over 3wks for a pair of single vision glasses and the lenses were so over priced it cost more than my Versace frames I never experienced such high prices for lenses and then to wait that long and still have not gotten them!!! I went and gotten my refund and had them refund my insurance company as well this was terrible!!!! I was better off going to Walmart or Target!!!

I Just found out today that lens crafters in merrillville at the southlake mall doesnt offer the one hour pick up your new eye glasses service any more, now you have to wate two weeks to be able to pick up your new glasses, this used to be one of the reasons That I would use this store .
