My experience was great. The staff was extremely friendly, from the receptionist to the doctor. My appt was 8/20 @ 3:20p and my wait time was minimal. The doctor was very informative about my images of my eye and made sure she explained everything in detail and left me w no questions. I ordered new glasses at my appt last week and picked them up today. Again I was met w the same friendly atmosphere. Not to mention the office is very clean and partakes in wearing a mask. All in all I would recommend them to others and would be returning for all my eye care needs.
What can I say about this place other than AWESOME. The whole staff from the receptionist to the doctors were awesome. Very friendly and they really looked out for me today. I was very satisfied with my visit today. Thank you and I’ll definitely be back.
Had a bad experience at a different myeyedr. So I decided to go to this one and youll meet the nicest people you have ever talked to and I guarentee that! They exceeded my expectations and went beyond how I thought an eye exam couldve gone. Great and friendly employees, would go here for the rest of my life.
This is the first time EVER I have gone to a eye doctor/facility and felt at peace with my decision and comfortable with the staff. From the time I walked into the office I was treated like ROYALTY!!! I have and would definitely recommend MyEyeDr to friends and family!!!
I have lived in NYC, Buffalo, NY, Lansing, MI, and Chicago, and Ive never had a better eye exam. Dr. Emily and the staff at MyEyeDr. are professionals! They are all so welcoming, friendly, and knowledgable. Ms. Erica made me feel very comfortable when we did the pre-exam tests by thoroughly explaining everything to me and making me feel relaxed. Dr. Emily was very detailed and paid very close attention. Although I had one of the later appointments (I left after 6 pm), I did not feel rushed or like I was an inconvenience that was holding everyone up from having dinner. They took their time with me to make sure I was properly taken care of. The contact lens exam was the absolute best exam Ive ever had. Ive never had an eye doctor who had me try on the contacts while they waited and then examine my eyes with the contacts on, and also discuss different contact lens options with me or even discuss that I need different prescriptions for each eye. Wow! So thorough. I also appreciated everyone explaining what my insurance and out of pocket charges would look like from my initial phone call up until it was time to check out. I love that level of transparency. I highly recommend MyEyeDr to people of all ages. Also, I LOVE that so many women work there - youre all such inspirations.
Went during restrictions. All the employees were respectful and know what they are doing. My eye doctor was very informative and cheerful. Everything went well and will be coming back
I love this place especially the staff.
I called in today 1/30/2020 to see if they take Medicaid and they do, it covers the exam and SOME glasses. My first time every making an appointment with my grandma lol, the lady talked me threw it and got me an same day. Customer Service was great definitely will be back and share my time with them with others.
Ive been going to Dr. Timothy McGillen for years and he has been absolutely wonderful with taking care of my eyes! He has the best bedside manner and the staff has ALWAYS been helpful and friendly! He is very thorough and doesnt hesitate to answer any questions you may have about your eyes and I really appreciate that. My mom lives in Phoenix, AZ now but she always comes home during the summer and makes sure she gets her eyes exam here, while shes here. She also loves this office and the quality care that she receives.
Will not be back. REFUSED TO RELEASE PRESCRIPTION due to incomplete exam after spending 4 hours in the office trying contacts and glasses on and PAYING in full for the exams. Maybe a coincidence that my script expired in a few weeks so they wanted to re-examine my eyes after 11 months, no thanks...Have never been given such a run-around to obtain medical records that were fully paid for. Terrible...
Gossip Optometry is amazing! From the moment I scheduled my first appointment, to my eye exam, all the way down to choosing a frame. Their customer service is phenomenal! Dr McGillen was amazing! He was very knowledgeable of not just my eyes, but of how all of my other medical issues affect my eyes! Ive been wearing glasses since 5th grade and this was by far THE BEST experience Ive ever had at an optometrist visit. I have since taken my children and referred all of my coworkers, friends, and family! Each visit was just as amazing as the last and this will be our permanent office for eye care and exams!
Ashley the tech was awesome. Was definately lied to about my copay for the exam, and the lady at the desk rudely told me shes eating the $145 on my exam.. because she mislead led me!! I had to pay $45 instead of the $25 she misquoted me before I stepped in that exam room. Im dreading going back there next week to get my prescription....
Excellent customer service by Stacey
Made an appointment and showed up. They acted like I never made one online and that since I didn’t receive an email confirming the appointment they would like to reschedule. I advised them you can’t have it both ways either I had an appointment or not and walked out because the ophthalmologist would not pencil me in. Don’t waste your time. Go somewhere else.
Bait and switch. I called twice asking how much my exam would be after giving them my insurance information. I was told the copay was $10. Arrive for my appointment and am asked for my health insurance. I should have walked out at that point. An eye doctor does not need your medical insurance. Go in for my exam, try on some glasses, and all of a sudden its $70 for the copay. The doctor switched me to Bausch and Lomb contacts ($60 per box) over the Acuvue contacts ($30 per box) Id been switched to a few months before by a different doctor. When I asked why she said every doctor has a different preference. Okay...but what brand is best for my eyes? I dont really care what your preference is, I care about my eye health. Then come to the glasses. Very few frames to choose from and every frame is over the $140 allowance I had. Lenses were going to be almost $300. I almost lost it. Id just purchased glasses out of pocket somewhere else and paid $198 for both lenses and frames and that was without using my insurance benefits. Oh and they refuse togive you your pupillary distance because they know you will take your prescription and go somewhere else. I felt lied to and taken advantage of. I paid for the exam and walked out. I wont be returning.
Amazingly fast on getting my sons glasses in.
I had an appointment at 5:00 and rushed to Ossip for them to say they didn’t see my name on the schedule. The doctor would not take me because she had another appointment at 5:00. They realized that I was scheduled at 5:00 but I was told I had to reschedule! Poor customer service! Now I’m inconvenienced by their mistake.
