I was looking for a sectional and never thought to go to Lazy Boy Furniture until one day passing by, I decided to go in. Surprisingly, I was shocked at the many option I had to chose from. I always thought of Lazy Boy only having recliner chairs. I was greeted by a wonderful salesmen who offer superb treatment. I had my very own personal designer (Jessica) who came to my home, measured the space where the sectional would go. Three days later I had consultation and reviewed the graphic design that was drawn up of my entire living room with the existing pieces, giving me the true visual how the sectional would fit in the space. I never in LIFE received that type of treatment from any furniture store. Thank you Jessica for taking the time to make shopping pleasurable!

So far all service has been good, at the store & for delivery. We did have about a 2 1/2-3 month wait for delivery though. The chairs were delivered with no issues to them. Delivery set them up & explained how to use them (we got the electronic recliners, but not the ones that lift you to standing). Only have had them for 3 days so far but very comfortable. Hope they last longer than our previous chairs from another company.

Twas the quickest Ive ever bought furniture was Sunday. I immediately saw an attractive easy chair, sat in it and bought it. Looked up and the Manager wrote up the sale and I was out the door.I feel comfortable I made the right choice for my comfort and appearance at home.Thank You

Worked with Jeff at the Merriville location. Very nice guy. Disappointed though in your marketing. It’s a little deceptive. Went in to look around got some ideas and some pricing. Came home, a couple of days later got a coupon for $500 off. The coupon stated an extra $500 off. But it said it can’t be used in conjunction with other offers in the small print. When you say an extra $500 off, that usually means in addition to the other sale price or in addition to another offer.

We entered the store not expecting to find a recliner in our price range. But the employee who worked with us (Jane) took time to explain what customization was available and what the differences were between the sizes of chairs. Then she let us wander to browse and didnt try to sell us anything. When we showed interest and inquired about the chairs she was available and very well educated on their products. We would up finding a chair that was more than we expected, but knowing that they cover it with warranties and the La-Z-Boy name we ordered it. I will definitely go back for future furniture needs.

I dont typically like salespeople but he was very kind and knowledgeable and never tried to push me into buying but rather showed me the value of the product and left me to make my own choice. I dont enjoy shopping, but when I have to, this is how I like to shop.

I ordered couches in January and still have yet to receive them. Every time I get an estimated date of arrival the date gets pushed back. You would think if you were spending thousands of dollars at a store they would care to keep you posted on your order.

We ordered our couch in January and were told it would be delivered by June. In June we called and were told it wasn’t in production yet and wouldn’t be available until July. We finally got it in August. They made sure they got their money quick enough though.

I placed my order August 1,2020. I was given a 12 week wait for furniture to be complete and then a possible additional 2 week period to wait for delivery. It is now January 31, 2021 and I still don’t have furniture. I made 5 calls to customer service consistently being put off until I finally got answers on call 6. I had to return to store yesterday to select new fabric and now I am once again waiting for these to chairs to be complete. I still don’t know how this is going to end but what should have been an enjoyable experience has been nothing but a nightmare.

I was disappointed in the ability to see and touch fabric. I researched before I came into the store of what I wanted but looking at the tiny squares of fabric choices was not good at home on the computer. I thought I will go to a LazyBoy store not a furniture store because I would be able to see and touch the fabrics. I made my chair selection and he shows me a brochure with maybe 10 color choices. I said the website had a bunch and I can’t see the real material? That’s my choices. I said the website had many choices. He did not know. I had to pull up on my phone and show him that the chair I wanted had over 300 fabric choices. I said do you at least have a larger computer than my phone to look at the choices? No. He went to the fabric wall and pulled a couple a fabrics and again that was all he had to show me. I was not happy with trying to decide with a small brochure square. I got up went to fabric wall, pulled a couple that I liked and surprise-my chair could used those. It was a game changer then. We spent probably 30 wasted minutes to get to this point. I just did not understand this whole process.

Very well organized showroom. The staff greeted us as we came in. Asked what we were interested in and showed us the way. Patty didnt hover and let us look around came back a few minutes lat we r asked if we had any questions. She was very helpful and professional. We checked out a few other places but the feel and quality at Lazy Boy just seemed better. We went back the next day to purchase our new chairs. But thanks to covid going to be 90 days, we asked for a specific color. But almost all places are in the same boat so we understand.

We ordered 2 recliners on September 9, 2020. We were given an estimated delivery of 10-12 weeks. We fully expected chairs to be here for Christmas. However, it took 18 weeks to get our chairs ( delivery on 1-27-21). We did ask for & receive a refund of the $129.99 delivery fee. But it’s frustrating that it took so long. The staff is polite; but unable to do anything. I’m hesitant to ever order from Lazy Boy again.

Very good experience with Jane the sales manager. She was very nice, helpful, and professional. Our only concern regarding our purchase of a recliner is that it will take 4-6 months to receive it. I mean it takes less time to build a car. If this is the normal time frame to put together a piece of furniture, I find it highly excessive. Sincerely. Kirk Wring.

Very disappointed with the service. I understand there is a pandemic but I ordered furniture in October, supposed to be delivered early December. Didn’t get it until mid January and the day it was supposed to be delivered it never showed up. Had to call to find out that it was not coming and told me another week after we had already disposed of our other furniture. Finally got them to agree to deliver 2 days later. Ordered a 2nd set in October as well with the understanding it would be delivered in February. Now I am being told April. Probably will not be back to Lazy Boy.

The staff was amazing! Peggy helped me and then once I found what I liked she set me up with Jessica the designer, who really helped decide the best size couch and chairs, tables, etc. for my odd shaped room with also listening and understanding the needs and wants for the use of the room. It’s a playroom for a 10 year old but I also additional rec room, movie room, living room. Needed space for VR but if I entertained could use it for conversations and not a 100% kiddy room. I went with the Paxton sectional which I loved but not the layout in the showroom. The only hard part is the waiting for it, but I have no doubt it will be worth the wait!

Our Lazboy sales person (Jeff B.) was outstanding. He greeted us upon arrival but let us walk around and look without being bothered. He approached us when we had any questions. Jeff was very friendly and answered all our questions. We were debating between two sectionals and decided on the Dillon. Jeff made is very simple to choose the color and types of pieces we wanted. The current sale was 30% off. We have been looking at sectional furniture all afternoon and were impressed with the quality of Lazboy. We did not feel any stress or pressure to make the purchase. We made the purchase along with the 5 year fabric protection plan. We had a great experience and are looking forward to the delivery of our new sectional!!

Great experience with La-Z-Boy in Merrillville! My husband and I went into the store looking for living room furniture, the quality of their furniture is unbeatable. Jeff was our salesman snd kindly helped us with no extreme pressure at all, spent quite awhile with us as we tried to make our selection He suggested I meet with their interior designer Jessica so that she could help us around our living room issues that were stumping me. We did meet with her and it was a game changer! She took the couch I loved, and created a beautiful room that I had no idea would be exactly what I wanted and looked absolutely beautiful!!! My wife is having knee replacement surgery in 10 days so we had to find a recliner quickly. Tyler, the manager of the Merrillville Indiana store went out of his way to see that our needs were met. We found one we liked on the showroom floor and he let us take it home with us. We had shopped at a few other stores before coming to Lazy Boy but no one was able to give us the same level if service.

Jeff, the store manager, helped us tremendously! We had a bad experience with garbage furniture that was falling apart after five years. We needed to invest in some quality sofas and recliner that would be durable enough to last us a very long time. Jeff assured us that the frames and springs are 100% covered for as long as we own them! That’s what I wanted to hear! And not only that, we were also able to get all the furniture pieces we needed at a reasonable price. He did everything he could to make sure that our experience was a good one, and it was. First time Lazy Boy customer. I was very excited to pick out Lazy Boy furniture. I have owned less expensive furniture in the past and usually disappointed with the quality. Lazy Boy has the reputation of long lasting furniture. My experience in store was fantastic! Great customer service all around. They took time with me and my spouse to pick what we wanted. The furniture specialist was great. We were promised our special ordered sectional sofa in 4 to 6 weeks. After 5 weeks I stilled had not received a call as to when I could be expecting my order. I was told possibly a week or two more. It took almost 2 full months before my furniture was delivered. Theyre time frame was awful. Dont expect your order in 4 to 6 weeks. Otherwise I am pleased with my purchase.

Really need a new rocker/recliner, and found one I really liked. That’s when it went downhill...... nothing available in any color/material that I liked, so we agreed to wait 6 to 8 weeks for delivery. Wait, it gets better...... The material wouldn’t even be on stock for another month! So, I’m looking at 12 weeks to get my new chair. Then they mention the $99 delivery fee. I told them I would just come and pick it up, but that still costs $40! This is all making me rethink my entire purchase.

I recently went to La-Z-Boy in Merrillville to purchase a new Recliner. I was greeted by April Jackson, a sales associate, upon arrival she could not have been more helpful in assisting me with what I was looking for. She was never pushy, she let me look around and come to her for questions - which she answered with kind suggestions and honesty. At other stores I was poached by salesmen and honestly the quality of the furniture just couldnt compare to what La-Z-Boy had to offer. April Jackson introduced me to the Manager Tammy Vale. ***Update, May 2021: After spending nearly $9,000 on furniture, including stain guard and tear protection at an additional $500-$600, we can not get La Z Boy to honor our warranty or the store manager to return a call. All we get is the run around! First it was months of call backs to find out our warranty was a third party company, then to find out the stain was “too old” because no one would assist when I first called, AND we were never given any paperwork to tell us what to do if our kid vomited all over our sofa to begin with! We are now stuck with a stained sofa that we were assured would be taken care of for up to 3 years if there was an accident. Now La Z Boy wants nothing to do with us. When we furnish our entire basement with living room, bedroom, entertainment and office furniture we will be shopping elsewhere! Poor, post-sale-customer service and broken promises that were made during sales, is how a business goes from 5 stars to 1 star over the course of a year. The relationship doesn’t end at the checkout counter! I really hope that the manager or the manager’s manager at La-Z-Boy Merrillville reads this, because I can’t seem to get a response any other way!****Original Review - April 2020We ordered our furniture February 8, 2020. Janie was a delight to work with and was patient with us as we were choosing furniture for our newly built home that wasn’t finished yet, so we had to envision everything including the future rooms it was going into.Our furniture arrived early and also the same week that Shelter In Place order was executed for Indiana.The Merrillville store closed and although a delivery date was scheduled we were nervous that our furniture would somehow get lost in a shuffle.I Emailed La Z Boy and that email was directed to a store in Indianapolis. The same day the Indy store manager called to assure me everything would get resolved within 24-48 hours.The next day the Regional Manager called and informed me he was able to get in touch with the warehouse where our furniture was being stored. Our delivery was indeed still on the schedule.The Saturday morning of our delivery we received a notification at 5:50 am that our furniture was being loaded and would arrive by 11:30 am. It was in our home and assembled by 11:00 am.Impressive service during an unknowing and questionable time! Great job La Z Boy!
