We frequent Nana Dee’s on a regular basis, And each and every time the food is excellent homemade and very delicious! In my opinion their a Cobb salad is the best in the valley!!!The staff is very friendly and personable when we go it feels like coming home!

Great throwback memories, atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food! It was cool lighting an older gentlemans face up in a smile seeing this young wipper snapper knowing and singing some of the older songs such as My Boyfriends Back as Im scrolling through the songs on the mini jukebox on our table.
Food is not bad, actually quite decent first time we went there. Second time, we were served food with multiple hairs in it. They claimed to have remade it but it looked like the same exact portion that was just taken away from the table with the hair all over it. We finished our lunch then we’re still charged for the hairy plate of food. After this incident the management should have acknowledged their mistake and honored that food free of charge. Definitely won’t be going back to this place.
Good food however dont come here unless youre prepared to spend about $25 for 2 before the tip & we even ordered ice waters.
Very good food. It was busy so service was a bit slow but thats okay. Worth the wait for omelet and green chili. Yummy

I was so happy that I took the chance and stopped in for breakfast. The Belgium waffle was amazing!!! The prices are good, the walls are covered with retro pictures and posters and I loved listening to the upbeat music of the 60s and 70s including Neil Diamond, Chicago, and Simon and Garfunkel. Deb was an excellent server and made sure to check back often. Ive found another feel good restaurant!

It was pretty nice there! the service was amazing too and the atmosphere was perfect. although the bathrooms were a little run down looking but otherwise loved it!
Wife and I were a little nervous about trying this spot out since we were the only ones wearing our mask walking in. To our surprise the waiter put us in an area we were comfortable with. After that introduction it was like any other restaurant with excellent service and good food like back in the days. Drinks and dessert were handled with a heavy hand too!

Great food for me. My husband felt that you could tell they use liquid eggs for their omelettes. I thought it was a great price for the amount of food received, and there was no wait for service or food.
Great diner, 50s atmosphere. Weve only had breakfast here a few times (so good) but their dinner menu looks good too! Highly recommend. Great low prices too.
I have driven past this diner for 10 years, and always said Id stop in.....because I miss the diners back east. I decided to do so two weeks ago and weve already been back twice! Our waitress both times was Val, and what a dynamic young lady. Shes sweet, to the point, and amazingly attentive. Did I mention the quality of food? OMG, its fresh, classic, and the environment brings you back to that era, even if you werent born yet. 😉 Nana Dees is a must stop and eat, because trust me you wont be disappointed. Well be back again and again!

I enjoy this place! Been there 2 times for breakfast and the food has been good both times... its a nice old school dinner look inside... the waitresses are friendly... I want to go back and try their lunch food... I recommend this place

The food was good, staff was nice. The price was $19 for eggs, biscuits with gravy, 2 slices of thin bacon, and hash browns. Portions were adequate but still small. Overall, not a great value.
What youll notice right away about this place is the 1950s era vibe. I must say though, its genuinely authentic. The staff was friendly, the food was good, and the prices were absolutely without doubt reasonable. My wife and I both ordered the pot roast, and it was juicy and tasty. The portion sizes here are good as well.

I really enjoyed my dinner at Nana Dees Diner. This place takes you back to the old fashioned malt shop diners. I had the open faced Turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. It was very good. This is our second visit to the diner. We had breakfast here also and it was also very good.
It was pretty good. 5 & Diner style good home cooked food, good service. Not too busy. Reminds me of Chases Diner in Chandler. Without the wait 😀

The service was spot on but the food was ehhh. We wont be going back. This is an awesome nostalgic diner but its dirty and dingy. Honestly a little bit of TLC and maybe a spice rack would kick this place up a ton.
After striking out at a few other restaurants due to very long wait times, we decided to go into Nana Dee’s. The wait was only about 10 minutes.The decor is 50’s style inside. Reminiscent of a Mel’s Diner.Our waitress was very friendly. Food was out in about 15 minutes.We ordered fairly traditional breakfasts with eggs, potatoes and meat. Everything was just average. Nothing really wrong, but nothing amazing. Our English muffins didn’t arrive With the food and we ate our entire meal before they arrived. Ordered scrambled eggs dry so they weren’t covered in butter and they came out very greasy.We don’t live in the area, so won’t be back, but not sure if visit again if we did. Seems very popular on a Sunday for seniors.

The waiter was sweating profusely, it was dripping off his nose over food and drinks. His hair and shirt soaking with sweat. Wiped it off with his bare hands and continued to delivery food to tables. It made me sick to my stomach. But, the food was good, just a little salty.

Enjoyed my visit. Had good service and the Monte Cristo was delicious. Well prepared and had to take home half of it because it was filled to the brim with ham and turkey. Will definitely return.

Went there this morning for breakfast with my husband, he asked the hostess on how long the wait is. She raised her voice, was extremely loud and rude talking AT my husband, we turned around and left. We will never eat there again. Her behavior was completely unprofessional. If I could give them zero stars I would.

Great food! Green chili was amazing. Our entire meal was on point and so tasty! Service was great as well. The only feedback I have is to clean up the place a little bit.The fans have a large amount of caked on dust, the light in the waiting room is full of bugs, some of the things have fingerprints all over, looks like it hasnt been cleaned in a very long time. For being in these times with Covid and everything having to be sanitary, I would recommend cleaning this place top to bottom. We will be back!
Deduct one star for very slow service. We have eaten here numerous times and it has always been fast service and delicious food but this time the food was great as usual but it was very slow. Im guessing they were short staffed as they had posted help wanted signs. Still a great place to go.
Would definitely not return. We waiting over an hour for a table. For 5 people. They sat us at a two top booth then added a chair at the end. Meanwhile, parties of two and four had the big round booth and the giant booths in the middle. Made zero sense! I ordered the deluxe club and got the regular one. My daughter wanted a strawberry milkshake and a lil breakfast with an extra egg. I was told she couldnt get the milkshake till the food order was put in and then she didnt even get the extra egg. My husband ordered Dr. Pepper and got Root Beer. On top of that so the lady at the front kept complaining about was how it was her day off and she was called in. Thats stuff you dont tell your guests. Two of our party ordered the same Philly cheese steak and they were both made differently. Why is this? It should never take over two hours total to get basic food anywhere.
Came back after over a decade on the east coast and was overcome with nostalgia for the old 5-and-diner as soon as we stepped in. The decor is still straight out of the 50s, the walls covered with historic articles and movie posters, and the service fast and friendly. I just wish the tabletop jukeboxes still worked but it is what it is, the food was delicious and well-portioned and I cant wait to be back again
We found this place during a short stay in Mesa. We loved it so much we came back on our next trip. It is a trip back in time to a 50s style diner. The service and food were both excellent. We will be back.
The atmosphere is old and delightful. Entering the diner is like stepping into the old days with lovely pictures of Elvis to Monroe . And plenty more. The food is delish with a very home like taste and feel . The home made malts are to die for. The desert yummy and my daughter loves this.
This has the perfect diner feel with an amazing staff and owner loved every bit of the experience from the food to the staff and even the bathroom was amazing a great spot for a cute date or family fun stop by if you are in the neighborhood stop by and thank me later

Has went down hill big time ordered a Chorizo omelet it tasted awful tell the waiter it tase old or spoiled he got attitude with me informing me he just made it and there was nothing wrong with it then and talked bad about me to the cook. We used to like coming here at least twice a week but after today will not return.
We were on our way to a different restaurant for date night, and just happened to drive past Nana Dees. Decorated as a 50s style diner, which intrigued us.The food was EXCELLENT!!! We had breakfast, for dinner. The cheese sticks looked hand made and were excellent, the bacon was perfectly cooked, the biscuits and gravy were delicious. The only down side was the soda..which Im sure they would have replaced if I had asked, but I was too busy stuffing my face with their delicious food!Ive gone on about the food, but the staff was friendly and attentive. The music was in the holiday spirit, but with a country bent that took me back to my youth.I had a wonderful time and will definitely return!!

John is the best and nicest server around. Cook is a lil slow even on non busy days. But food was well worth it. Except for the frozen fish fillets they serve on Fridays for ALL u can eat fish special. Catfish nuggets would definitely be better

This is such a cute little diner. It absolutely does not get the praise it deserves. We came in and were sad to see you we were the only customers there. Their stop being extremely friendly sweet and attentive. Their food was phenomenal. We also love the fifties theme to it. Ended up talking about it for about an hour of how much we wish we had grown up in that era. The server with extremely friendly and extremely helpful and I cannot sing their praises enough. Please check this place out They are in adorable little diner that deserves all the praise in the world❤.Will definitely be back and I have to take my mom who would absolutely love this place seems she grew up in this time era❤!
