Rob was great! He took care of me in a tight spot when I wasnt quite expecting to need new brakes and rotors for my truck. ROB GETS 5 STARS! Unfortunately, I have to dock my experience as a whole since I had my routine maintenance (oil change, tire rotation, multi-point inspection) just the week prior and no mention of brake issues. I would assume especially rotors would have been noticed at that time. I went from no issue at the inspection to nearly metal-on-metal contact in less than 2 days. Probably worth more than a 1 star dock, but Garber has always been good to me in the past, so I am taking this as an exception to their norm!
We won a free oil change certificate that Garber had donated. I expected there would be additional charges, my vehicle is large and it would have been normal to pay more. However, the oil change was totally free, the service was very accommodating to my schedule, and I will be back! This was an excellent experience.Tim
I received Excellent Service at Garber Chevrolet in Midland at the corner of Eastman and Saginaw when I somehow ran over a nail that punctured my Michelin tire on my newly purchased pre-owned 2019 Equinox. Robert in the Service department immediately put the order in for a new tire. And in the mean time, the team ALWAYS took a few moments for me when I needed to inflate my slowly leaking tire. And when my new tire came in, Robert got me in right away and installed my new tire. Worst car-shop experience of my life, no joke. Dropped car off and no-one called me for two days; I had to call to see if they had my car. When I called, no one was available. Finally talked to someone and told them what I wanted done. They called me two days later with an update that they test drove it and asked me what I wanted done again. Two days later, I called them because no one called me. They gave me an insanely high quote. I asked why it was so high. They gave me after-market parts without asking me, even though I explicitly said I wanted all stock. Then they took a week and a half to finish my car. And, again, no one called me. I called them, and they said that my car had been done for a few days, but they forgot to contact me. I went to pick up my car, and the service-desk guy was watching the Michigan football game on an iPad at his desk, ignoring me super hard. I went to the sales side of the store and asked someone to help me. She went and basically made this guy help me. Got my car, left. Never will I return to this place ever again. Worst car-shop experience of my life, and I have been to well over 20 shops with the same car since 2006.
Candelario was great to work with in the service department. He was always polite on the phone and would update me often on my car status. When I needed a rental car for the weekend he updated me and found me a car until mine was done! I appreciate that Garber took their time on my car and found the real problem.
This is our second buying experience from Garber (first with Melissa about 4 years ago and this time in 2021 with Derrick) and both were very good experiences.Derrick was friendly and not pushy. Of course he had some of the salesman verbage but I did not feel pressured at any time during the negotiations.The rest of the staff we dealt with were also friendly and helpful.Everyone listened to our needs and wants and did their best to accommodate.If and when we are in the market for another vehicle well stop at Garber first!

First class operation! I came in with the car of an out-of-state visitor, without an appointment. I got in and out quickly. Garber had the parts for the repairs in stock. I was treated very well and served very efficiently!
The guys had to deal with me switching my appointment like three times and even had me in two spots at one point til I spoke with my daughter to get my poor car back after itd been all over the western United States. All went well. I had the car there the night before and they were right on it and in contact with me early morning.Great job. The only disappointing part of my visit is when we went to pick it up my wife and I walked in and not one of three writers said may we help you. I had to say who would like to help us and at that point one of them acknowledge us and not one of them had a customer. We were the only ones in there.Great job other than the meet and greet.

Very pleased with the service received on my Equinox. Although it took over 6 weeks for GM to finally authorize Garber to replace the engine, Garber worked diligently all that time to try and find other solutions. Thank you Garber for sticking with it.
I always have a positive experience at Garber. The employees are friendly and helpful but the wait yesterday 10/19/21 was long for an oil change and tire rotation, 2 hours, I finally asked about my car and it was ready but no one came to tell me!🙁

Brought the car in for a tire rotation and oil change today. Usually good service but today was the exception. Made an appointment over a week ago for 9 am, car sat in the parking lot until it finally went back 52 minutes later, what is the sense of making an appointment. A tire rotation and oil change should not take two hours.. I was then informed someone had grabbed my keys off the counter and wont be able to return them for 2 hours. They did offer me a ride and comped my service but you cant make this up.

We purchased from Garber in Midland recently. Our process from beginning to end was smooth. We had a great salesman, Don Ferguson, he worked with us on our deal until he was sure we were happy. He was patient and stayed in contact with us as we were waiting for our car to come in. I started by clicking on a web site that looked @ dealers near me with my particular needs in a pickup. Garber was 1 of 5. Brandie called me first and had a pickup that was with double cab. Hard to find right now. I had been looking for sometime, on Cargurus as well.It was to much for my budget. I said I will keep looking. Hung up>>>>>Brandie soon called back with some added discount. I was happy with the out come.3 days later after test drive..I drove home with my pickup. Considering the risks in dealing with the public now days. Robert was a life saver for me! I had a flat tire while on the road for work which I do quite a bit in my line of work. He was able to get me in last minute and back on the road in less than an hour!
Not sure anything was done. I turned in my vehicle for a recall. When I went back to pick it up they told me I needed tires but NO Paperwork for what was done. I had also asked to have my vehicle inspected as the warranty is almost done. Again nothing. The technician was not available when I picked up the vehicle...not real happy with the service. UPDATE: I was contacted by Garber and asked to stop by. I was issued the paperwork stating all was good and that the recall was completed. Thank you Garber for the excellent Service.

I was quite surprised when Brandi suggested that I might upgrade from my Trax to a Trailblazer at a reasonable cost. In fact once I saw how it was just a bit larger than my Trax and it handled beautifully and my monthly cost would be less than what I was paying for my Trax, I was sold! I just love the added features and how the exterior black and white design was so classy. Thank you, Brandi, treating me like a queen! Tldr; Techs are professional & do great work. For big mechanical issues, Id go back here.Took my 10 Equinox in for some bad engine noise that a different mechanic shop told me was probably my timing chain, so I asked Garber to service the timing chain. It cost a pretty penny but their work is certified - cant get much better service than the dealership itself. Unfortunately the bad engine noise wasnt the timing chain, and Garber diagnosed the sound down to my transfer case instead, which they ordered and replaced. My car drives significantly better now.The two repairs took a little longer than Id hoped, Wed-Tue, mostly due to waiting for the part to arrive, but I was patient, and Bobby communicated their progress to me at the end of almost every day.
There is a recall on my 2017 Chevy Bolt for issues with the battery. I had it in at Garber Chevrolet for service twice already (the last time on April 19). A few weeks later, I received a card in the mail telling me I had another recall service needed. I called Garber and asked if this was the same service that had already been performed since I had already had my Bolt in twice for the same thing. I was told that it was another issue and was scheduled to bring it in again today (May 11). When I got to the dealership, I was told it had already been serviced. In fact, the service staff member asked another staff member if I was the person who they had already been talking about whose service had already been performed twice. So not only did the staff already perform it twice, they knew today as well and didn’t bother to call before I made the 45 minute drive from Mt. Pleasant. This service is unacceptable.
