Cant say enough good things. Called ahead to get a screw removed from my tire and plugged. They were very helpful on the phone and were able to accommodate my work schedule for easy drop off and pick up. Helped me to and from my car with the tire, were so kind and helpful! Awesome service! Opened on Sundays and took me right in for a slow leak in tire. There was another place in Stratford that was opened but couldnt squeeze me in.Less than 10 minutes later, they put a plug in tire free of charge. There was a nail in inner ream so need to replace the tire soon but Im so grateful that I can now safely drive my car around until I arrange for the tire to be replaced. Thank you again!!! I came to Monro because my car was squeaking when I turned it on and also I had trouble steering the wheel. The guy diagnosed it and said I need a new power steer pump. It told me it would cost approximately $425 but once he realized I did not accept that price, he then dropped it to $375. I went to another shop called the Car ER in New Haven for a second opinion and the guy told me my power steering pump is fine, it was only my belts that were lose and the incorrect size for ym vehicle and it had to be adjusted to the correct size. I would never recommend Monro to any of my friends or family. For a person to try to charge be hundreds of dollars mostly because one, I am a woman and probably don’t know much about cars, but I knew for sure my power steering pump was not the issue.

We went to get out valve stem replace simple but easy job if u have the right tools . But took us right in with no apt and was very polite and we were in and out 20 bucks so if u need anything with ur tires or front end go check them out

Gave me a rundown on all other issues and what it would cost.Did not pressure me into buying anything else besides the oil change I came for like some other dealerships do.Price might have been a few dollars more than some other places but considering the time it took it was certainly worth it.Would definitely go back there again

***Update i went here for a alignment, the price was so worth it and it came with a 1 year warranty. What i love about these guys. If i feel something is off or a light came on after the work, they are willing to look at it without asking for your credit card. That is what call amazing customer service!!These are exhaust Experts!!! My Muffler fell off. I went to them the next day. They got me a muffler system that day, I was surprised because mufflers for mini coopers arent so readably available. The pricing was great and they sorted out anything until I was satisfied. I was was very happy going to them and if some needs exhaust help I will send over to these guys.

I went to a different mechanic for a flat repair over the summer - they tried to sell me 4 new tires and told me I needed a few other things done for a total of $1,000+. I declined and went to Monro - they repaired my flat for like $10 and said I definitely didn’t need the other work that was recommended. Honest, friendly, and try to save you money. Thank you!

Brought my car here twice. First time was for a hole in my break line, which they got fixed. Second time was for an oil change. When they did an inspection they found that my axel was no good and could have broke at anytime. So they replaced it quickly at a fair price! John is great really nice, super helpful and honest. I’ve been here before and they’re kind over the phone even before you get here when you call them. All mechanics and staff are very friendly and kind. Very honest and they will actually help you save money! They do everything they can to get the job right and fast. I’ve had great luck so far with them and will continue to come here

These guys came to the rescue when I was on a not so good beach trip and brought my car in after getting a big wad of tar on a tire. They removed it without hurting the tire and did not even charge me!Improved my day immensely.

Used to bring my car here for oil changes, but I will not anymore. They recently told me I needed a new battery which I shelled out a few hundred for. Two days later my car is broken down in a parking lot. Turns out, they completely missed/ignored that my alternator was bad and drained my new battery. This negligence put me in danger while driving and caused me to miss an entire day of pay. They also claimed they could not find a leak in my tire that the tow truck driver found quickly without me mentioning it. Scammers.

The manger John and mechanic Rich are always above board with explaining what the problem is with my vehicle and giving accurate estimates. And they have the longest service hours of any mechanics in the area. Highly recommended.

I came upon Monro Muffler by chance to have online tires installed. As it turns out I had ordered the wrong size. Joe, the GM, was great about helping me out. He was able to get me other tires and even was able to do my brakes and rotors at a reasonable price while we waited for the right sized tires. Highly recommend using this shop.

Been coming here for almost 4 years and seen a few of managers come and go, but none have even come close to the professionalism and knowledge of Joe. Came in for an oil change/tire rotation and I knew my brakes were close to needing to be replaced. Well, I was wrong, they were completely done and needed to be replaced. Before I gave the go ahead, Joe brought me out and showed me exactly why they needed to be replaced. All done at a fair price as well. No sales gimmicks here, just fair and honest. I needed my muffler to be fixed so that my car could be quiet again. Joe was wonderful to work with. He was very up front & transparent about the issue of my car & offered multiple solutions to my problem. Ultimately, my car was fixed up in less than an hour & it cost half the price of what a competitor originally quoted me. He also has a wonderful, hypo-allergenic puppy at the shop that my husband & I were able to play with a little while we waited. Shes a total sweetheart & doesnt bark at all.

Fast and kind service at the shop this morning. They let me know everything that was wrong in between just a regular tire pressure check and oil change. Despite the extra incurred charges they were necessary to keep me safe on the road.Had no issue with the price ranges they gave me. Would definitely go again.

This place turned around I should say!, I have not been here for a while because service sucks before ! The previous people just doesn’t wanna be bothered even if you are a PAYING customer!!!. But the Joe is amazing!, very professional and upfront!, no BS guy and very courteous to his clients. These guys are the best in town. I recently moved to CT (Derby) and needed tires for my car. I had no idea where to go for tires so I purchased a set of tires online. I then started looking for a shop to install the tires in Derby, but every shop I came across had horrible reviews. So I decided to look a little further and came across this shop. I went in and Sebastian took good care of my wife and I. Not to mention they had the most reasonable price compared to everyone else. I wish i had found them before, because I would have also bought the tires from them. My other vehicle was also low on air and Sebastian was nice enough to top off all 4 tires with air. These guys will definitely get my service from now on.

To elaborate further... While staff was friendly enough I took issue with a recent oil change. Tried selling a synthetic oil change to my wife for 65.00. The car we have only takes just over 3 quarts. We opted out of the synthetic, but tech overfilled oil. I personally had to drain almost 1 quart. The tech also spilled so much oil it collected on undercarriage in turn leaking on my driveway. As a former tech this doesnt instill much confidence for larger jobs.

He is probably one of the only salesperson who I felt meant it when he asked if I was happy with my experience. He fixed my only issue (a difference in what Tire Rack said and what the shop said). I will rate this place minus 5 stars if I could. They over charged me for the brake change and rear strouts. It is a 2011 Toyota. Yes, my husband and I had no idea those things cost at the first place. They extra charged the rotation and alignment. This place is a scam! DO NOT GO THERE!

Joe and the staff were amazing. I scheduled an appointed but called to see if I could show up an hour early because my breaks were in dire need of replacement. They took me right away and got my car onto the lift ASAP. Labor costs were fair and the customer service was superior. Will 100% be coming back and recommending this shop to my friends and family.

Drove from Florida to Milford CT for the holiday. Service light came on, needed a oil change and tire rotation before making the journey back to Fort Lauderdale. I get my oil changed here and I just recently hit a curb and had a piece of plastic hanging and scrapping the ground by my front tire. I was going to go to Town Fair Tire where I got the tires from, but decided to come here because I know they take care of their customers. And sure enough, Dave put the car right on the lift, cut the piece off and didnt charge me a penny. I feel I can always count on them to be honest and to do the right thing for a customer which is a very rare thing to find nowadays!! Joe, the manager, is truly amazing! He actually cares about you and your vehicle and isn’t trying to take all of your money. Every time we get an oil change he checks our brakes and tires and tells us about how long we have until it’s time to address them. He doesn’t recommend any unnecessary work and only does to your car what he would do to his car. All the guys in the shop are very courteous and professional. I recommend this shop to anyone who needs any work done to their vehicle. Thanks for all the help Joe!

I went in for an oil change without an appointment... It looked really busy at the time but the manager Dave told me that he would get me in right away. He brought in my car and worked on it himself and then came out and let me know everything else that needed to be done. I didnt have the time to do anything else at the time, but he let me know what the most important things were and I felt I could trust him. The main reason that I decided to write this review was because in the past at this location the manager would tell me to come back later when it looked totally dead. Im happy I can go here and get good quality service now.
