I always forget about this place. They pretty much have everything you need to repair, add, update, etc things in your home. They have an awesome little section for Christmas decorations. Most items are pretty affordable considering it is not a big box store like home Depot or Lowes and the employees are always super helpful and always ask if you need help or have any questions.

I love this place I get every thing from my socks,boots,pants,shirts and my fishing equipment. They have every thing you need right here,customer service is unbelievably helpful and always smiling. From power tools to bird feed im telling you its there!

To-date County Stores had been a big, old fashioned, neighborhood hardware store. Same today, knowledgeable, helpful people helping me find exactly what I need with good humor. I hope this continues now that they are affiliated with Ace Hardware. My advice to Ace: remember why you bought CS; dont screw it up.

My husband Roger and I have shopped at County Stores since moving to the area in 1984. We cannot say enough about the staff’s knowledge and helpfulness. We think that the service is far superior to other stores, and that maybe they should run a training program for others concerning the philosophy of service!!!

Now an Ace Hardware, County Stores is a great local destination for hardware and DIY. Affiliated with The Engine House which sells outdoor power equipment and parts.

Excellent selection and reasonable prices. The people working there are highly knowledgeable and helpful on how tackle different repair jobs. I would highly recommend them for all your home repairs and landscaping needs. Also, the repair service for lawn mowers and snow blowers is right next door.

Whod a thunk that they are a decent radioshack for cable, ethernet plugs and splitters. Great selection of grounded extension cords. Kinda expensive but chances are they have it and the plentiful staff are friendly, findable, and knowledgeable unlike the big box stores.

I purchased a new Toro lawn mower at County Stores Engine House and was very pleased. Scott, who sold me the mower, had also assembled it. He took time to show me new features, tested it out in the parking lot, and then loaded it into my car with care. I had almost purchased this mower at Home Depot, and Im glad I chose County Stores instead. It ended up costing about the same, considering that I brought it home with oil and some gas to get me started. Also, Home Depot would not have sold me a completely assembled mower. I highly recommend the Engine House at County Stores!

This store has the best customer service. When I first moved to Milford in 2019, I needed to get trash barrels. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, a young (High School age) man helped me find what I was looking for, carried them to the register then to my car. Every experience since has been just as pleasant. I am always greeted and the guys in the yard care section have helped with our questions.

They 100% went above and beyond for me when I mis-measured a wading pool that I had ordered online. Darryl drove it all the way to Nashua for me on his own time. I will definitely check there the next time I have hardware needs.

I love this place. The Mrs & I bought a house with a plethora of maintenance puzzles. Several times these guys have gotten me to the more & less obscure parts I was trying to figure out and find. One of the best local hardware stores around. Best selection of hardware too! All of the regular/common and even some uncommon fasteners, any hand tools needed, electrical, plumbing, general home good needs, etc. They also have a very good fishing tackle section primarily for bass or pan fish, a pretty good selection for trout fishing, and ice fishing gear/tackle & live bait during the winter. Fantastic customer service too!

The county store is one of the last true American hardware stores in the area. Like your traditional hardware store they have a broad selection of a little bit of everything that you could possibly need.The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable and will take the time to help you find what you need. Its refreshing that there is still some local old fashioned hospitality available for those needing some help. While the big box stores have their place, they are no substitute for this type of store. This is my go-to place for all sorts of Hardware needs.Access is easy, parking is plentiful so you should have no problem finding them.

Always have what I am looking for even when the big box stores have it, The County Stores has it better.Dont ask me how, they just do.Also, if you need a part for a sink, a leather washer, or some other chunk of pulmbing or electric that you cant find at Lowes or Home Depot, this place, will have it.They carry everything, and in a staggering variety. You go in for a bolt, they show you to the bolt isle... both sides of an entire isle of all the bolts you could ever need in nice neat draws.Paint, ammo, tannerite, dog toys, bird feeders, mucking boots, garden tools, coolers, wood stove parts and accessories, propane and propane accessories, stuff for welding, door and gate hardware, hunting and fishing attire, odd ball plumbing parts, spray paints, adhesives, shrink tubing of like every size, so much stuff.Amazing place really if you take a good look around.

I buy all my yard equipment here at their Engine House department. They have always had a good selection of what Im looking for sitting right on the showroom floor. Im now a Toro fan-boy and this is the place to get your Toro equipment. They service what they sell, theyre knowledgeable, pleasant, and they know what theyre doing.

Everytime I waste a trip to a big store, it never surprises me when I go to County stores, I usually find what I was looking for. Perfect example. Good to post office to mail item in padded envelope. No envelopes. Go next door to rite aid. No good. Stop at County stores. 3 different sizes. Enough said.

I have been a County Stores customer for more than three decades and look forward to each visit even more than the last. The big box stores can’t compete with their inventory - don’t bother driving out to Brand X, the County Stores has a better version of it. But what really sets the County Stores apart is their caring and helpful staff. At the County Stores the staff won’t just help you find what you need - they will help you understand how best to use it to get the job done right. I think we’re very fortunate to have an essential hardware store like the County Stores in our community, and I couldn’t imagine our town without it.

Every member of my family has been a patron of the County Stores since they were in their Nashua St location in the 70’s, and before when they were located in the oval. This is a true customer service based business, a true asset to the Granite Town. When I used to be sent to buy something, I was nothing but confident that an employee would help me find what I needed, and if I wasn’t quite sure what it is that I needed, they would help me figure it out. Big box stores could never compare to the County. When my dad passed a few months ago, several employees approached me to give their condolences. They treat their customers like family, it’s incredible.

If they dont have it, you dont need it. And if you need help finding it? Ask for Darrell.

I have bought Waterlox wood sealer/finish there a few times. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. They know their products, have a great selection, and remind me of the old town hardware stores we all grew up with. While I have to drive 20 minutes to get there, its worth it every time I go.

Best hardware store around. Catch one of their busy clerks and they will help you problem solve. Great service, great merchandise. No hassle returns on unused items. The guy who said they have gas, convenience items, cigarettes and beer was incorrect. Maybe he was thinking of Cumberland Farms down the street. County Stores is a hardware store with paint, grills, screws, nails, grease, caulk, etc. Even hot water heaters and parts for appliances, hunting and gardening gear.

County Stores always has what we need at a reasonable price. Its nice to shop locally.

Came over from Nashua because I appreciate a small store experience and service over whats closer to home. Very disappointed to see a sloppy face mask regime among the employees. Everyone had a mask - but half or more were leaving it hang off one ear. Im not going to go out of my way to patronize a store not doing their part in time of pandemic. To say nothing of endangering me needlessly.
