This is the most amazing team of movers ever. The quote was informative, and Brian explained thing so clearly regarding the price and the process. It was easy to get a hold of the team when I needed to. The three movers the day of were right on time and ready to go. They were quick, efficient, professional, friendly. They made sure to get smaller details right like centering a rug or table in a room. They were even kind and entertained my toddler when he would chat with them. The process was so smooth in every aspect. I would 100% hire this team and company again and will be recommending them to anyone who asks.

Used Gallo Moving for a local move and was VERY impressed with the service. The crew shows right on time and got to work. They took great care to protect the flooring, walls and furniture at both the old and new locations. They were always asking questions to ensure they were moving the right items and placing them in the right rooms.What really impressed me was how they rushed to help a neighbor who had fallen. After checking to ensure she was ok, they helped her up and escorted her all the way back to her unit. That act speaks volumes to the character of the crew and in my eyes, the crew was tops. Gallo exceeded my expectations!

Gallo was truly exceptional. We had to move huge, heavy leather couches from a second floor. The stairs were too narrow to negotiate, so Gallo lowered the couches through the window and down a ladder. I took video of it!Their estimator was also great, giving us excellent advice and an accurate estimate.I highly recommend Gallo Moving and Storage to anyone and everyone.

Great Crew that arrived on time, respected us and our furniture, very careful with items that could be damaged such a glass tops and Plasma TV. They were courteous and completed the move out and stated they will be the same crew to move us back into our new residence a week later. The price was very fair and much better than other companies. They were recommended by our realtor and came out to provide an estimate based on what we had versus a guess. I have no problem recommending this company and since this was our 3rd move in 6 years, sure beat the other company that moved us across the states. Wish I had used them in the previous move.

We were SO pleased with the crew from Gallo Moving that did our move. They were just amazing! Friendly and professional, and really approached the job with a positive, can-do attitude. They were a pleasure to work with - they turned something I was dreading into such an easy process.

DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS [ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A WOMAN]. My University hired them to pack up my belongings and upon delivery [where NO masks were worn despite delivering to multiple college apartments] I found that over $1,000+ worth of items were missing. I understand that sometimes boxes go missing - however this was not the case here. The items missing were my two north face parkas [obviously expensive], while my h&m parka was left untouched, two pairs of LL bean boots, a faux fur [still expensive] coat, and the ENTIRE CONTENTS OF MY UNDERWEAR DRAWER. This includes underwear, bras, lingerie [again, expensive], toys, and more. Not only is this a huge financial loss - it is violating + extremely disgusting that Gallos movers took those highly personal items, in addition to taking over 1,000 dollars worth of items. I have contacted both my university + Gallo and heard NOTHING back, so unfortunately I have to turn to google reviews and let you all know that you should never use them.

Had to move in the midst of the COVID situation and the move went off without a hitch. Kevin and his crew were AWESOME! They got us out of the old and in to the new so that we could start to unpack and settle in quickly. Everything was put in place, beds assembled, etc. First class service (and much appreciated.)

Steve from Gallo did a wonderful job coordinating our cross-country move from Massachusetts to Texas. He was extremely thorough taking inventory, and arranged for separate crating of an antique mirror without me having to organize it myself. The movers showed up on time and were done in less than three hours. I highly recommend Gallo.

When we needed Gallo they were there for us with exceptional customer service and an exceptional team.Circumstances arose and we needed to quickly move our Mom into an assisted living facility. I had met Tony Gallo and several members of his team at some Chamber of Commerce events and was quite impressed so I immediately thought of them. I called Megan with not much in the way of details but she took care of everything. She and the operations team were very understanding and accommodating. On move day, the two gentlemen who came to execute the move were wonderful. Very professional and personable too. They were very careful and quite while moving Mom into her new home and even stopped to chat with an resident and answer his questions. They made sure her room was arranged just as we wanted so all I had to do was put the finishing touches on it to make it home.They made the logistics of the move run so smoothly so we could focus on getting Mom settled.I highly recommend them for their service and the care they take.

I moved from MA to CA a move I had foreboding feelings about. However Gallo Moving (United Van Lines local representative) handled everything from the initial estimate to the actual; move with great professionalism. My driver, Rudy, who had an enormous rig, I think 80, feet was wonderful. From the moment they arrived at my point of origin to my delivery everything was handled on the utmost professional level. All my belongs were carefully wrapped in blankets. Towards the end I had a broom left and kidded with Rudy was he really going to wrap my broom in a blanket? I packed a good deal of my things, leaving my most prized possessions to their expertise. Everything arrived safe and intact. I was grateful they set up my bed, just wanted a good night’s sleep. Rudy set me at ease immediately with his friendliness and dry sense of humor. Rudy kept in touch during his drive across country advising me when he would arrive in CA. I’ve used other movers for local moves in the past but Gallo Moving (United Van Lines) surpassed any carrier I used in the past.

The folks at Gallo were simply superb! Highly recommend them to anyone.We were moving within town from a 3-bedroom w/ garage to a 4-bedroom w/ 2 car garage, so, you can only imagine the task ahead of us, with lots of stuff, and a moving date that was inflexible. We got numerous quotes, and settled on Gallo. During the quote process, Bill did a fantastic & thorough job of identifying all cabinets, furniture pieces, pictures and lawn items. He was very polite, explained and answered all questions, and was very responsive to phone calls.On packing day, Tony (he might be a robot) showed up was courteous, careful and fast. He was able to pack up 2 floors worth of stuff in 6 hours, with 2-3 breaks of 10 mins each. Very impressive. On both the moving and unloading days, Mike, Nick and Tony did a fantastic job of working as a team, being careful and being prompt. They put the boxes at the right places, assembled all the major furniture back. We have unpacked 80% now, and still did not find a single item damaged. Bill even followed up after the move to check how it went. Kudos to the whole team. They are the #1. Thanks guys.

Phenomenal experience. Weve moved a number of times and are glad we found Gallo. We moved from Long Island to Mass and even though we came from out of state they made the whole process easy. We used their app to take pictures of our home and everything that we were moving. They then provided a detailed quote via email.The day of the move, the movers arrived on time and were very professional. They disassembled our furniture and wrapped everything so that it was protected in the truck. Not one thing broke! Awesome experience from the quote all the way through the move.

Great experience! We had to move from MA to AZ. I got three quotes and their quote was the.best. I was very concerned because I had a lot of tool and was afraid they would get stolen. Nothing was missing or broken, the truck arrived on time and the price was as they quoted. All of the staff were wonderful to deal with too.

I recently hired Gallo to help me move from the North End of Boston to the Worcester County suburbs, and they were without a doubt the best moving company Ive ever dealt with. They were extremely professional and very hard working, and they helped make the moving experience easy and stress free. Getting a free quote was very quick and easy thanks to their new smartphone app, which was used to take pictures of all the rooms in the apartment. I used them 5 years ago when I moved from Mass to RI and gave them 5 stars. There were 3 problems this time. 1. The estimate was 25% less than the actual cost. 2. The crew chief kept complaining about the amount of packing they had to do. (perhaps a problem with the estimator) 3. Was told in advance that they would pick up broken down boxes for recycling by the estimator. This was corroborated bu the crew chief. After two phone requests to the office, without action, I gave up and paid someone to take them.

Worked with GM&S for an atypical move, transitioning my belongings from long term storage outside Boston, where they had resided 18 months while I had been traveling, to my new home in Chicago. Inventory and Loading happened without my participation, with GM&S coordinating with my storage facility and making use of the inventory created when my belongings initially went into storage. Everything arrived on schedule, and intact - I couldn’t be happier. I did a lot of shopping-around looking at cut-rate Internet shippers/agents/brokers... you really need to be sure youre doing an apples-to-apples comparison looking at coverage limits, deductibles, etc. GM&S and United Van Lines took great care of me (and even refunded a little bit since I was under the estimate weight) and I recommend them to anyone!

Update: Since my review (lastnight) I have been contacted by the owner via email and phone call. We spoke earlier today and he shed a little light on the matter. That matter being my move was not handled not by Gallo directly due to the location we were moving to. That said, everything below stands. Gallo (Meg & Bill in particular) itself was great to work with, both before and after the move. Its the move itself that was the problem, and in reading the reviews below I imagine the reviewers only dealt with Gallo employees and not an independent contractor/driver.I would only add that Gallo might make this clear when quoting a job, because if Gallo were overseeing the move from beginning to end then I would have no reservations based on my brief experience with Bill, Meg & Tony... however I would think long and hard if that werent the case.Terrible... Seemed like a great move going in (doesnt it always) very professional and courteous and reassuring that it would all happen smoothly from MA to TX. I was encouraged when one of the 3 movers to arrive in Boston was the individual driving the truck back to TX. Unfortunately those were only words, we paid thousands of dollars to have our boxes of lifes possessions stacked (if you can call it that) up in one room, which is fine. Except for the fact that there was little regard for size and weight... Not to mention bed and tables not reassembled and a few boxes that didnt belong to us made the scene and begs the question which boxes of ours are out there in the ether.
