Had a great experience! They did a great job on my vehicle. 5 star all around
I had to go into the office to get service. No one would call me back. Tried for weeks, left many messages. It got to the point if someone did answer my car, I would somehow be cut off. They had somebody sitting behind the desk answering phones. Some dude walks by him and I hear him say “that’s Jody“. WOW The gentleman that help me in the office was nice, Device was installed two days later.
Dave was very nice guy took very good care of me and my vehicle and fun to talk to A big thank you to you and your employees
Nice people hear get the job done
The owner of this shop is a very rude person. I have been at this location for many years to calibrate my ignition interlock and the owner always has a grumpy unprofessional attitude. On multiple occasions he would blow his cigarette smoke in my face and would always blurt profanity for no reason.During the winter, I had to calibrate my vehicle and the owner was very upset and swore many times about how he didn’t want to calibrate my car because it was cold. The owner is a very unprofessional man who doesn’t not treat his containers with respect.I would say not to bring your vehicle in to this location because he also changes prices for service costs and charges more than what a dealer would.
These guys/gals are super helpful. Friendly and non judgmental. Theyre great!
When your 20 year old car blows out a radiator hose on the highway, you may feel like your afternoon just took a nosedive, but quite a few other things could go south before the days over. For example, when you pull into the first parking lot off the next exit, it might not be a service station. Even if it is, the owner, at 330 in the afternoon, might tell you he cant get to it today. He might tell you hes short staffed (he was), that he has to order a new hose (he did), that his mother-in-laws 91st birthday celebration is that evening (his wife was there waiting to leave with him). Fortunately for me, none of these things happened. Dave, the owner, friendly in an informal sort of way, immediately walked out to my car and quickly saw the problem. After hearing that I lived on the other side of the metro, he walked back inside, calling first his part supplier and then the delivery driver to ensure the part came immediately. It came in 30 minutes, he quickly installed it, and explained to his wife, who was there telling him it was time to go, that he was trying to help this guy out. She rang me up (a quick google search tells me he wasnt lying when he said the book told him to charge a higher labor cost than he did), and I was on the road within an hour. His wife seemed genuinely surprised when I left a tip, as if giving this kind of service to people is simply a matter of course for them, and for which they dont expect any kind of reward. These are the people you want working on your car.
I had to sadly deal with the owner of this shop for an ignition lock system. If you can get it installed anywhere else - DO IT.I left with all of my engine lights on. When I called about this and I was chastised it was my fault, the car probably had issues (it was less than a year old). When I told him he should work on his customer service, I was told the reason he was the owner was so he didnt have to worry about that stuff. When my system was removed (at a different location) it turns out that an air filter fitting (Im not exactly sure of the name) and that was why my lights continually came back on even after resetting.Today, I went to the dealer to find out about water that was flowing into my car, they informed me that the sunroof water hose was not connected. Again, in the same location as the install of the ignition unit.I have NEVER written a google review before, but because this was so incredibly negative in every aspect, I could not walk away without saying something. It was a hard time and this place only made it worse with car issues and bad attitude by ownership. Thankfully I found a wonderful group in Edina that were fantastic. (even they had heard about this location and the dissatisfaction of customers)I hope this saves others from such bad service and an arrogant, rude owner.
Great service knowledge workers
Super great service. They went above and beyond to fix my car fast and affordable. Great people, great work!
Awesome, its the fastest calibration it seems like
In and out in less then one day! Best shop I’ve found yet
They were professional and courteous as always. The visit was longer than usual due to problems with the equipment but otherwise it was just fine. MeMe
Great place ..good people
Dont let the looks of the place deceive you. The owner and staff are real Minnesotians with a friendly midwestern work ethic. This place reminds me of the gas stations we hung out as a kid. Old school feel for sure. These guys and gals are very helpful indeed and can make a stressful time far less stressful.
Good quality and family owned! Love these guys. They actually fix ANYTHING like the business states. They fixed my go kart, horse trailer and Daves custom fabrication is AWESOME!
I believe their internet was slow it took about 20-25 min per recalibration. Only one car before me so wasnt to bad
They are reliable and trustworthy.
Amazing auto garage! Excellent Service with a personal touch. Skilled workers!
They dont keep track of the order that customers show up and wait for service. 5 ppl in front of me but for some reason the 5 ppl after were helped out before me as well. They had too many ppl work or doing too many tasks because just from observing no one would have had a chance of knowing who was next or not.
I would have to say this is by far the best gas station around. Its a family owned business that has hard working, very determined workers in this shop. If whatever you have that needs fixing and involves motors, Dave (the owner) or Damon (lead mechanic) are the men to get the job done right. No matter what the problem is, Boulevard Sinclair will solve it without a doubt. They also have great service when it comes to SmartStart MN. Its an ignition interlock system that Boulevard Sinclair installs. They only had one shack in place for monthly calibrations, but for the customers convenience, they built another one for quicker and more organized calibration times. Dave is at the customers service. He works long days and stays way past closing hours to make sure every customer is satisfied. I highly recommend Boulevard Sinclair as your lifetime mechanic for all your needs.
Great people and great service!
Great service, very personable employees!
There services are very well priced! Perfect location right of 169. Dave is just a good man to deal with.
David Goldman is a class act. He has a passion for his family that reflects in his work ethic to make for a great shop and service station to meet all your needs!
They messed up installation on my smart start twice, the first time they had the cables connected backwards (according to THEIR OWN mechanic who I went back to after the device locked me out thinking I was circumventing it) and after 3 months of nothing but issues I went to a different, reputable location to get the device removed. I found out it was installed the second time with unsafe 20g wires and half of an extension cord? They were surprised the wires didnt melt and start on fire, which was obviously unsettling to hear. Of course the owner said they didnt do it and insinuated it was a lie, he then said well it didnt start on fire, did it? A lot of things can happen in life. WOW.. good thing the other business took pictures, saved the wires and we reported them to smart start MN who is investigating. Not the first time the owner has been rude and unprofessional either. If youre thinking of coming here for anything, DONTFor the owner following their response -I never said I couldnt remember the shops name, I told you where it was located and there is one smart start installer in that city. Smart start was already in contact with the shop about the situation. The owner of this shop is the one who took the pictures, not me. I told you they were sent to smart start so the pictures shouldnt suddenly be new information to you.The reason I wanted to continue this is how poorly I felt you treated me when I brought these issues up, and because it wasnt the first time Ive felt this way after an interaction with you. This wasnt just a misinterpretation of a friendly conversation. Just think you should work on your angry and condescending tone or expect other new customers to your business to be dissatisfied also.
Is this the fanciest or most up to date gas station and garage, maybe not but that is part of the vibe here. Dave the owner is always there and willing to spend as much time as needed explaining and talking about your car. I was able to find a part cheaper and he was fine with me bringing in the part and only doing the labor. This saved me about $100, even with the original labor quote a bit light. All in all kind of an old school garage with pics of personal race cars on the walls and the sweet smell on Daves cigar wafting through the place. Not to mention Full Service gas. Whens the last time you pulled into a gas station and did not have to get out of your car to fill er up? Kind of cool, probably worth the extra few cents a gallon especially in winter. All in all a cool spot to tend to your vehicles, the kind of place where the owner still turns the wrench and instead of $4 energy drinks in the cooler you just might see todays bagged lunch. Definitely not Booby & Steves Auto World, but who likes places like that anyway??
Guy added a tip to my bill without my authorization. Threatened me when I called to ask about it.Ended up making a claim with my credit card to avoid a physical confrontation with the guy over $2.50.I would avoid this station at any cost. I think this is credit card fraud and theft..... Seriously?
Crooks. BY ALL MEANS POSSIBLE DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!! They will lie to you and steal from you. Service nonexistence. Owner napped for nearly an hour while customers/purveyors lined the doorway . For smart start they will rape you for every penny you have.
These guys are great, no BS!
I grew up in the neighborhood and Boulevard Sinclair has been around since forever. Not a convenience store but a real mechanics shop, I didnt understand that until I was older. It is a small family business. They are car guys who work on cars. Call me old fashioned, but I like a mechanic with calloused, dirty hands, who doesnt wear a polo shirt. It would be a shame if this place went out of business.
Nice employees
Full service rules
Great friendly service!
Worst customer service!! Owner yelled at me after they messed up on the calibration. Dont use them.
They came through like champs again.
Rare full service station
