Came here to get help with setting up a phone I bought from them and the girl was hurrying us away like we were contagious. She quickly set us up for an online appointment for the next day without any complete details and needless to say, I had to find an alternative way to get my phone set up as I needed to use it. Did I mention there were about 15 sales rep in there most of them standing and chatting idly ?

Let me first start off with I understand what they are trying to do with limiting the number of people in the store. However I went with my daughter to buy a new phone for her and ended up walking away. They said they were full for the day on appointments. This was 6 pm and they didnt close for another 3 hours. We didnt know we need an appointment to go by a new phone.. A turn off in a big way and wont go back. They may need to put something on there website saying this, it maybe helpful. Just say a wasted trip for nothing. The kicker was when we were about to leave they had very few customers in the store and employees just standing around. I guess they didnt want my $1000.. sad

BRENT IS AMAZING. 80% of my phone screen was completely unresponsive and he was able to activate complex features that allowed us to enter my phone and back up my info/photos. He had to enter everything one character at a time and was so patient. I would have never been able to figure out what he did on my own. He really took the time to solve the problem…and DID! My specialist, Blake, went above & beyond in assisting me with my iPhone issues. Although the problem couldnt be fixed and I need to purchase a new phone, he laid out all of my options for me and even helped me navigate the best route for getting a new phone through my service provider, which can be a tricky process. I could have easily had a negative experience for many reasons but walked away smiling and completely satisfied.

Completely disappointing customer service experience after spending over a thousand dollars on a new computer. After asking the apple team multiple time to do the backup/transfer for us they continued to refuse and basically make us feel dumb for how “simple it is”. Crazy how such a “simple task” would be refused by your own team.

I’m not sure why people bother making an appointment. You have to stand in line with everyone else and then browse through the store while somebody decides to help you (or not), and it’s all very random as far as that goes. There has to be a better system in place here.

Jamal (spelling uncertain) fantastic service. Made a mistake quoting me the wrong part needed for a repair during a service appointment. Told it would be $79 to fix my broken camera & it would be done in an hour. Came back & he made clear the mistake - turns out it was a much more extensive $299 repair instead. He got it repaired for just a couple extra minutes later for the cost he quoted me. Give this man a raise.

Needed my iPhones charging port cleaned quick and inspected as it wasn’t charging anymore hardly and I’d have to spend forever trying to get the cable to sit just right to charge even with a brand new Apple made and certified cable. I had the Apple store off HWY36 in Roseville tell me a couple years ago that I needed to schedule an appointment just to clean the port and they wouldn’t do it otherwise. Meanwhile here at Ridgedale they acknowledged me right away today after the staff was done with the customers ahead of me. Another staff member was able to come grab my phone in about a minute and come back a few minutes later with a clean and now working charging port. They were fast, polite, and professional at this location which was appreciated. Masks are no longer required but they still appear to be doing a great job of cleaning and sanitizing surfaces as all the displays were pretty clean when I stopped in and I did see another staff member working to wipe down the surfaces that are likely touched most. Thanks guys for the fast service and the clean, presentable store/displays!

Wasn’t bad experience at the store, but when I called back about my repair status. First, the advisor doesn’t have any information or updates on my product because it was sent out! When I asked other question about their services, a person was literally telling him(attendant) to hang up the call and laughing hard. I didn’t expect this kinda service from Apple! I would not recommend this store. Go somewhere even if you need to drive extra miles.

Not sure when Apple will acknowledge science. It’s still like May of 2020 when you go here. Full on masks, limited numbers in the store. Then if you want to actually buy something, good luck. You have to order it online and pick a pickup time, likely a day later than when you are there. Meanwhile staff just stands around and can barely be bothered to help, let alone go in the back to grab the iPad that is in stock and available to be purchased. We left and went down the street to Best Buy, a store interested in doing business and less interested in Hygiene Theatre.

Horrible experience. Went to the apple store to resolve an issue with a new iPhone purchase, should have known that an appointment was needed to be made just to get in and helped. They had an opening for the next day a offered us a time slot, so we scheduled for that time. The drive to get to this place is a long one for us. When we get there the following day they could not find us in the system, and they found that the guy that made the appointment, scheduled us for the wrong day that he told us to be there. This was an error on there part. They shown no concern to the situation and told us to come back the next day, like it was no inconvenience to us. They could have helped us on the spot but refused to. What gets me is when looking at store from out side of it. There were far more employees standing around than customers in the place, and the employee talking to us at the time told us with a strait face that we can not be helped. Bull!!! Stay away from this location, you will only leave with frustration and confusion.

Found myself this morning standing with the small crowd of walk ins outside the yet to open Ridgedale Apple Store. Desperately hoping to see a genius without an appointment after messing up my partner’s MacBook, I was willing to wait hours if need be before she got home from work. I was greeted by employee Devin who initially scheduled me for a genius appt an hour and a half later. Fortunately for me Devin was outstanding. He assessed my issue and rather than have me wait, walked me thru a fix and had me on my way in 20 mins. What a relief! Thank you Devin!

Horrible experience! Untrained staff! Went to buy a new iPhone, and trade in my new phone and Brad (the person helping me) convinced me that all my data had been backed up even though I specifically kept telling him I don’t back anything up and I have never used iCloud for backup. Regardless, he kept insisting it is all backed up. Before erasing my data from my old iPhone, I even pointed out that none of my pics and WhatsApp’s are appearing on my new phone, he convinced me that it takes 10-12 hours for those to appear. I am not very tech savvy so I assumed he knew what he was doing. Needless to say, nothing was backed up, I lost all my data with no way of recovering it. Apple store’s staff refuse to take responsibility and just offered a “we apologize”. Please save yourself the trouble and don’t go there!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.Every time I’ve gone here all they try to do is just sell me things and not actually help me.Best example of this was last year I had a small piece of plastic from a case get stuck in the charging port. I took it here and they proceeded to tell me my phone was broken and I would have to upgrade to a newer model. I then took it to my local Verizon where they said no problem, grabbed a special tweezer, and removed the plastic literally in under a minute.So this store either doesn’t know what they claim to know or they simply just don’t care about helping customers and just want your money?Which is it Apple?

I was traveling through MSP and realized the battery in my MacBook Pro was severely swollen--to the point where my trackpad didnt work correctly and my computer wouldnt even sit flat on a table. Brooks and the team at Apple Ridgedale provided AMAZING (no kidding) service, and got me up and running before I had to leave town. Apple only sells phones...no set up, no maintenance and no repairs. My daughter needed a new iPhone bc of a manufacture defect on iPhone 7, so we made an appt, waited 2 hours, sales rep spent 5 minutes almost refusing to answer Qs, we paid $640, and then the sales rep wouldnt set up the phone, transfer contacts, pix, etc. He said we dont set up or work on phones anymore. You have to call Apple service line from home. Of course the phone wont set up. LONG LIVE ANDROID (what I use).

I made an appointment last night, (Friday, Sept 11th), to meet with someone to analyze and potentially replace the battery in my iPhone.I drive 30 minutes to get there, 10 min to park, and walk to the store within the mall, 5-10 minutes to check in (because the first employee couldn’t find my appointment in the system. Then I had to sit and wait for 10 min, all to have someone come up and inform me that my appointment was for an “accessory”, and it was supposed to be a “genius bar appointment”. How in the hell was I supposed to know this??! I said, “so there isn’t ANYONE here that can quick check out my battery? I drove 30 min to get here”. He says “No, but we can get you in later next week”. Completely unacceptable. I was livid. He knew this, and made zero attempt to make me happy. No apology, nothing! I’m absolutely so turned off by Apple for this type of service and treatment. Thousands upon thousands of dollars that I have spent over the years. I’m done with Apple.

4 employees standing around not helping anyone, I stop by and just need to get a watch band, I know the size, color and see it hanging on the wall 10 ft from the door, they wont let me in because I didnt have an apt and told me to come back in a couple hours. Cant even walk in to the store without an appointment. Two security guards block the entrance of the store front and hand out a piece of paper with an 800 number to setup an appointment. Called the number as I stood there and there is no appointments at all in the system available. I asked to speak to the manager who was actually standing aimlessly right next to the security guards and he said sorry all staff is busy. Every single one of the five Apple store workers on staff was aimlessly staring straight out searching for another customer to help behind the security guards. Inefficient and disrespectful to customers. Ive never had such a brutal customer experience.

I purchased a new laptop early this month. At the time of purchase I spoke with the salesperson about wanting to get the data transferred at the store rather than completing the transfer myself from my old computer. I stated I didnt want to open the computer, touch it, etc. until the data was transferred (I wanted it to be hands off). The associate told me that was no issue, and an appointment could be scheduled and the transfer would be done within 24 hours of drop-off. After completing the purchase, she then told me to just schedule the appointment online through the genius bar and there would be an option to select data transfer. Not only is this not true, you actually can only setup a genius bar appointment after going through numerous online hoops telling you to basically do it yourself. Then it asks for a serial number (computer comes in three days before I travel out of state, so I dont have this). So I called in to schedule an appointment. Turns out its very difficult to get through to a human at the store. Finally managed this after 20-30 minutes of going through the bs customer service system and they told me I couldnt schedule the appointment yet, as it was too far in advance for their system and to call back later. So, per their instructions I called back the day reservations opened. Soonest they can get me in is after I leave for my travel. All reservations prior are full. I can come for a walk in appointment only, but they may or may not be able to take the computer for the data transfer. The associate also informed me data transfers take 48-72 hours, not 24. The store needs to better inform their staff with correct and up to date information. I would not have bought my computer if I had known about this issue and am now thinking I may just return it after seeing the decline in Apples customer service since my last purchase. Im very disappointed.

I had completely horrible service dealing with Apple over the phone and sprint trying to resolve a software issue with my phone that wouldn’t allow it to be operational.The phone needed a very simple fix that no one wanted to assist with.Zoe and Ben at the ridgedale location went above and beyond and did what it took to fix our phone in these crazy times.I cannot thank them personally enough, they single handedly kept my wife and I Apple customers because had they not acted with such professionalism and genuine concern these would have been the last Apple products we purchased.Zoe and Ben thank you so much for being understanding and assisting us with our issue.

Upgraded my phone here and backed up all my information through iCloud. Before I could verify all my photos went to my new phone the employee helping me reset my old phone deleting everything. They should be held accountable but instead they simply said sometimes that happens. So if you upgrade your phone here double check and make the employee wait an hour if you have to, to make sure all your information and photos are on your new phone.

I bought a phone online with in-store pick-up. They got me the phone quickly after I arrived. He asked if I needed any help getting it setup and I said yes. While I had owned another iPhone, I had never set one up and told him that I had specifically selected to purchase there for the assistance. He stayed with me for a few minutes and then said that I would be fine and he was going to leave me. He asked if I wanted him to check back and I said yes and that I would like him to check my old phone for a battery replacement. He said he would come back, but never did. I ended up having to ask a question of another employee while she was helping another customer. Her response was that she didnt know if an SD card was installed and then handed me her key to look for myself. I told her that someone was supposed to come back and help me but he seemed to be avoiding me. She didnt comment or offer to get someone else to help me. It seemed that if you over the age of 70 they assumed they needed to actually go over things with you...but I didnt qualify for assistance even though I had just spent hundreds of $$$ with them.

I called Apple support asking about my battery replacement options for 2 phones. They told me I could schedule an appointment for later in the week or walk in and and risk waiting. I had to go on the weekend because I work and live far away from the store. The man checking me in said they could replace both batteries but it would be a 3 hour wait. It was a brief conversation with a man who lacked customer service skills. I came back when I was texted at sat waiting for a service person. This guy was nice, but he told me they couldn’t replace my batteries because so many people procrastinated until the end of the year and they were backlogged with customers. I told him that I was told it could be done today. He went and got the manager. She came over and told me that I was no more important than any other person waiting in line that had already scheduled an appointment to get batteries replaced. She was rude. I reminded her that I had scheduled appointment 3 1/2 hours ago and was told by her employees that my batteries would be replaced that day. She apologized and said I could get them done if I waited another 3-4 hours. Nope! I have to drop the phones off again, and they won’t guarantee how long it will take to replace the batteries. I was told 30 minutes to 3 hours, depending how busy they are. But, they wouldn’t schedule an appointment time for the work to be done. So very frustrating! Why are they taking walk in appointments if they really can’t help those customers? There were so many things wrong with the procedures in place at this store. I wish I didn’t have to go back.

I went to get some help with a Laptop Trade-In. I was assisted, but not able to make a Genius bar appointment, and instead was set up with a phone call through apple customer service. This phone call is set for a specific time, I respected the process and made myself available. I get a call from Apple Inc, and I am promptly put on hold for 6 minutes, then a nice person tried to help, but did not understand how to complete a laptop Trade-In. She was only familiar with iphone Trade-Ins. I was then put on hold for another 14 minutes. I was never helped. I expected better from Apple. I am displeased and disappointed.

My battery replacement appointment went fairly well (despite a longer wait than anticipated, while even having scheduled the appointment a week in advance), with one large caveat: when I got my phone back, I noticed later that night that there was a large crack in the screen! I know for certain this crack was not there before I brought it in. Even so, in the description email that was sent to me shortly after I dropped it off, said in the screen status section: No physical damage.THANKFULLY, it was only the screen protector itself that was damaged, and I had another one on standby that I replaced it with.So this means that someone dropped the phone while it was in their care, and might have hoped I would never notice?Just be warned: if you bring a device for them to service, you may not get it back in better condition than you brought it in with.

I have only had good experiences at this location. I am a Mac user in part because of the service and the ability to receive technical and hardware support in person. It started off well but then...I went in to get audio issues fixed on my iPhone. The first person I talked to got me into the queue and said it would be a 45-minute wait. I would get a text message when theyre ready for me. He confirmed the wait-time by showing it to me on his device -- it said 45 to 55 minutes. He was helpful and nice.I come back exactly 45 minutes after I was put in the queue even though I didnt get a text yet, just so I dont risk missing my appointment. The intake person at the door looked me up in their system. She said I need to wait 45 minutes. I told her Ive already waited 45 minutes -- I was confused. She said she doesnt see anything in their system about my waiting time from before except now its a 45-minute wait. She checked the time I was put into the queue (45 minutes ago) and said all she can tell me is that I have to wait 45 more minutes. It just felt really weird because she was dismissing and ignoring everything else that had already happened beforehand. I asked a couple more questions. Turns out they had the service I needed wrong, so she changed it to audio issues but thats all she did.She said things like If others dont show up for their appointment, you might get to see a technician sooner. Appointment times fluctuate a bit...10-15 minutes. Youll just have to wait. I reminded her that Im on time for my appointment (why is it that others have to miss their appointments for me to see someone for my scheduled appointment?). I also mentioned 45 minutes is different from 10-15 minutes. She just kept saying she doesnt see any info about me waiting 45 minutes to begin with when I was placed in the queue.I came back a few minutes later and asked her if its guaranteed Ill get help if I wait another 45 minutes (since it didnt work the first time). She eventually said its not guaranteed unless we schedule ahead of time. I asked what that meant and how I could schedule ahead of time (isnt that what I just did 45 minutes ago?). She said she can schedule me right then for tomorrow. What a game...I dont think so. I ended up saying no thanks and decided to leave.It seems like they messed up and didnt want to do anything about it. Or, they just have a terrible system. Id understand if I need to wait another 10-15 more minutes or if they were pretty busy, but that experience was so confusing and frustrating. Weve gone to this store a couple of times in the last few months to get help but never ended up staying because they were booked or it would take 2-4 hours. I was hoping that this time when I can wait, itd be worth it. Not returning to that store of course. That was messed up.

I went here to get some replacement nibs for my Apple pencil. They told me I needed to wait for an associate because it was in the back, which would be 20 minutes. When I came back I had to wait another 10 minutes. Once I fannaly spoke with someone they told me I needed the pencil to get the code to get the right one- I was then told by the guys who brought them to me the pencil nibs are universal. - That means I waited 30 minutes to have someone bring me a 4 pack of nibs.Dumb, would not recommend. Buy online, dont waste your time.

The Apple Store location in Ridgedale was amazing. Bill was a phone saver and kept me from leaving Apple entirely. After trying multiple avenues to repair/replace my phone, he was able to get me a replacement phone for absolutely free. Props to Bill. Other than the dude up front and his shorts being way too short, it was a great expierience.

Few days back one of my friend walked in and changed the lightning cable. I was with her when she swap the cable. However, i bought my phone less than a year and i got here on the next week with my lightning cable which had a year of warranty and it was malfunctioning. One of the staff said its not gonna happen and i have to buy a new cable. I asked for the manager and he claimed himself as the manager. Their customer service is really really bad. I explain the situation saying i was there when my friend swap her cable and i also mention, not all their staff are well trained as they didn’t maintain the same rules. I would recommend “ DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE”

Was out running errands and was gonna just pick up a dongle. Went in and was told I needed an appointment to make a $30 appointment. Wish they had that listed in the Apple store app.

So you cant really call this store. When you call, a friendly machine man tries to listen to you and forward your call to a specialist when suddenly Due to expected high volume, your call could not be connected. thank you for your patience. We appreciate your business. Good byeReally Apple? Arent you the pioneers of technology? Yet, that message? I only called like 8 times... No human found anywhere. Nice, customer service. Very nice indeed.
