I did a walk in for an oil change at the Jack Ingram Volkswagen Service department due to the current appointments were not available. The service department took great care of me. I didn’t wait long for my vehicle to be service. They finished the oil change in a great amount of time considering I was a walk-in and conducted a service point inspection checking my brakes, tire tread, window wipers, fluids etc. The service department really takes great care of their customers

The level of service received from this dealership is downright careless and disrespectful. Holding a car under warranty that’s needing repair for SIX weeks without even looking at it without offering a temporary car is absolutely absurd. I’m not sure who can afford going six weeks without a car, but unless you can, I’d stay away from this place.

Only because it will not let you leave no stars....we have been scheduled twice now for a repair and both times have been sent away. Even though we get emails and reminders for service, we were never notified that the part was not in electronically. I was only in driving there and waiting..only to find out they can not do the recall repair because the part is not there or is not available...why schedule the appointments in the first place if you do not even have the part. Peoples time is valuable and we come from another city.Thank goodness my vehicle gets good gas mileage.....

I had an appointment for a transmission fluid change at 7:30 AM, my car was dropped of by 7:15 AM. I hadn’t heard anything by 3 PM, so I called to get an estimate on what time the car would be ready and was sent to voicemail in which said they may not return my call until after 5:30 PM when they close.I went into the shop to check on the car at 5:15 PM and my car was being serviced at that time. When I asked for an estimate on when it’s be finished, I was told “I’m sure he’ll want to get out of here by 5:30, so in the next 15 minutes.”This frustrated me because they had the vehicle all day and waited until the last minute to get it in. What is the point of scheduling an appointment, especially first thing in the morning, if the car is just going to sit around and be thrown in at the end of the day and rushed so the technician can get off by 5:30.The service would be a one and a half hour to two hour job IF you didn’t know what you’re doing and/or didn’t have the proper tools for the job, yet I was told the price includes three hours of labor. I think it’s ridiculous for anyone to allege these professionals who happen to be equipped with the proper gear/tools and also work on these cars everyday need and utilize three hours to change transmission fluid and the filter. Especially in a vehicle with a plug, it’s an easy job.I only brought the vehicle in for this service because I had a good experience the last time I brought the vehicle in, but after this I will most likely be handling these services elsewhere.I am very disappointed with this experience, not to mention the fact that after I waited all day for a simple service just to get it home (10 minute drive) to find it filthy from what I’m assuming was tire shine slapped on at the last minute not given ample time to dry and thus splattering all over my car on the drive home. As I was looking at the black splatter all over my vehicle I find soda dried and sticky all down the back door and window plus more filth on my front window.I think the most frustrating part is that I was told to bring it back the next day to be cleaned which could have been avoided if the technician hadn’t slapped tire shine on at the last minute or if ANYONE had given the car a once over before sending me home with it eleven hours after I dropped it off for a “three hour service.”The next morning I brought the car in to be cleaned and dropped it of around 11. This time he told me it would be done around two or three that afternoon, which is ridiculous for a car wash especially just an exterior cleaning. I didn’t get my vehicle until 5:30PM FOR A CAR WASH. I had to go another six and a half hours with no vehicle for something I could have done for $7 and three minutes at GOO-GOO.$480 and 18 and a half hours later I don’t think I’ll be returning to Jack Ingram Volkswagen.

The first attempt to repair the recall was a complete failure as they didn’t have the part nor did they call me to let me know this. Wasted trip, wasted time.Second attempt to repair the recall was lengthy at best. Dropped vehicle off at 8:30, at approximately 4pm, we called to check the status… they reported it wasn’t finished. We drove over only to find the vehicle was ready … yet not one phone call was made.Communication and customer service is fair to poor.

I will start by stating when I had to get my car towed to Jack Ingram VW/Audi the service dept. was prompt about calling and informing me of what the initial assessment was for my car to be repaired. Noted, this was the first week they received my car. So, the next week comes and I call the head Mechanic Supervisor on the 2nd week and leave a message cause I do understand shops are extremely busy and my car isnt the only car needing to be repaired. Friday comes, no call back. Saturday no call back. Now we are on the 3rd week of waiting. I call on a Tuesday, leave message. I wait until Thursday leave another message. NO CALL BACK AGAIN.So, Friday I call and ask for a salesman, and this is the only good experience I will rate and give for this dealership. MR. FRED JACKSON, a sales representative for Jack Ingram answered my call and I explained my situation. Without hesitation he promptly went to the service department to find some kind of information about the status of my car. After 3 weeks of having my car the service manager calls me and informs me that he thought I had already picked up my car and work was complete. Ok, then why would I repeatedly call and leave messages wanting to know the status of my car, then??!! He then informs me that most of the work was complete and he would call when I could pick my car up. I will say this, he had informed me in order for all my service/check lights to be cleared I would need to replace a sensor. I informed him I want this done. I get my car back after ordering this particular sensor to be replaced, need I add it was over $600 for this sensor and this comes at no surprise by now,, that the engine light is still on. So, I call the service manager again about the matter and he states, he will check on it, and get back to be. This has been over 3 weeks now....still waiting. I waited this long to give this review in hopes I wouldnt have to leave such a bad review; I do believe 3 weeks is ambical time for a call back. I give Mr. Fred Jackson 5 stars 🌟SO I WILL NEVER, LET ME SAY THAT AGAIN, NEVER...TAKE MY CAR TO JACK INGRAM AGAIN. I would tow my car back to Ohio (where I purchased my car from) before Jack Ingram in Montgomery works on anything of my again.

Worst service I have ever experienced. I had to drive an hour just to get Volkswagen service. The took the appointment after I repeatedly explained the issue, and that it only occurred under very specific conditions that they would not be able to replicate in a garage. They we more then happy to make me drive all that way, wait 7 hours, and still charge me $150 for absolutely nothing. They never should have accepted the service appointment since they knew in advance they would not be able to replicate the issue, and based on that wouldn’t even attempt to fix the problem. I still have the issue with my vehicle.

Radio went out on my car and got a replacement, but didnt have the code. Went here and they said they would have to run a diagnostic to get the code at $150, which is more than I paid for the unit. A bit steep considering this service was free just a few years ago.I had even called the day prior and they advised I would just need to.come with proof of ownership, which I had in hand. Anyways I left unhelped and unhappy.

Disappointed in customer service. I should not have to track down the service provider at each step in the process nor wait for the service provider’s availability. I scheduled an appointment for a diagnostic test to be run on my vehicle and then delivered my vehicle to Jack Ingram Volkswagen the day before the scheduled appointment. The day of the scheduled appointment, I called at noon for an update and left a message. At 2:30 p.m., I called again, hoping I could obtain my vehicle before they closed. Eventually, a technician explained the identified problem, an initial solution, a long-term solution if the initial solution failed, and the costs of both. No other matters were discussed. I picked my vehicle up early the next morning and was informed that the general condition of my vehicle should have been discussed, for example, the need for new wiper blades. Within 8 minutes of leaving the parking lot, the initial solution failed. I called to coordinate the long-term solution but was required to leave a message. After missing a return call because of work, I was eventually able to reach someone, who unfortunately worked in another department and took a message. After the weekend, I received a call from the Service Department at 3 p.m. on Monday. I had to pay for the part before the service could be scheduled. I was transferred to the Parts Department and required to leave a message. I did receive a call back and ordered the part.

After spending almost an entire day trying to purchase a 2021 black on black VW Tiguan at Jack Ingram Volkswagen, we were told that the vehicle had been sold already to their own service department and was accidentally put back on the lot. The team members issued incorrect information several times throughout the day. Here is some advise that I can give to the finance specialist Matt: This loan was specific to the VIN number of the vehicle we worked on purchasing all day. Our bank told us we could not just change the VIN number on the loan draft check. Please train management and finance team appropriately so that totally disabled veterans do not have to wait hours at the bank and at your dealership. And, no, they did not have another 2021 black on black VW Tiguan S on their lot. One of the guys there started calling other VW dealerships trying to find one. We ended up arriving home at 7:00 pm with no new vehicle. What a major disappointment.

My 2014 VW beetle has a recall. The air bag opens without warning on the drivers side. I had an appt tomorrow with Jack Ingram and they cancelled it saying they don’t have the part. I’ve had this appt since the first of April and I’m still driving around in my car that is potentially dangerous. They did nothing and other than a “gee we are sorry we had to cancel” message, I have no idea when the part will be in.

The VW service dept was great. They squeezed my car in at the last minute. Im from out of town. I would rather drive here, and use this service center.Update: I had to use VW service dept again. I took my car in on 8/7/21 for service light and service engine wrench sign. I also wanted brakes inspected. I requested all of these things when I scheduled online appt. A week passed and I didnt hear anything. When i called, i was told they were waiting on a part. I stared please just keep me updated. Another week passes, no call. I call again and got the same response. The 3rd week passes, no call back. Finally the 4th week I just go up there to see whats going on. First Im told she was not sure what was going on with my car. After staff investigated more, come to find out, my car had been ready but no one called Me or finished the service completed paperwork. The date is now 9/4/21 when I get my car. The service wrench light is still on. I spoke with customer service staff and she said that the dept doesnt remove the wrench light unless service is done there ex: oil change. I stated that I requested for this to be done and why wasnt it? Customer service Staff simply stated she was not sure and would have to call Me back. Im at another week and no call again. This was no where near the great service I received the first time. I understand that companies are suffering with staff shortage due to Covid, but that still does not excuse not keeping your customers informed or not completing the work that was requested.

Great. Very social distance aware. They had a worker spraying Lysol and wiping chairs and surfaces in the waiting room. They were ready for my appointment and had the paperwork ready for signing when I walked in. My car was fixed and I drove away 45 minutes after my appointment started.

Fred and Randall took the stress out of purchasing a new car, and they went above and beyond to help me with everything I needed to make a purchase that suited my family. They were understanding that I had a little one that needed to be picked up from daycare, and helped me move the car seat over and got me taken care of in plenty of time to pick him up that afternoon. Robert took my husbands call when I was on my way to the dealership, about an hour away. I was on my way back to NC from visiting TX and my car wouldnt accelerate well. Robert took care of me right away. They did a thorough look and of course it was something major! Robert went ahead and ordered the part and had a mechanic get it back together as soon as they could. Though, I really didnt want to spend two days with my kids in another state, I was so impressed how fast and well taken care of I was! I have never had a better experience at a dealership or with a service person than I did going to Jack Ingram and dealing with Robert! Still waiting on my refund 2 months later, after several emails to get updated information which has yet to be answered, very disappointed in the way this has been handled. Because of this experience I changed my initial rating. Although my purchase of 2020 Volkswagen Jetta was a very nice experience. Robbie went above and beyond. I had my VW Passat serviced for its 40K mile check here, which cost just over $550. Upon picking my car up just before their department closed, my low tire pressure light was on. I wasnt going to keep them so i drove home, and called first thing Friday morning. I got passed on continuously Friday and re-attempted on Saturday to have the tire fixed. Saturday and Sunday they are closed, my car was left unserviceable because i was unable to remove the flat tire with an impact gun. I reached out Monday morning again to their service department where they informed me for the $550 40K mile service they didnt even touch/look at the tires, that it must have been elsewhere that tightened them that tight. Once i informed them they are the only department to service my vehicle, they then changed their stance and stated we will fix this, and have our manager Ruth call you with a plan moving forward. This was on the 20th of July, and still no word. I have reached out to their service department leaving emails to their staff, still no word. The only thing i was informed was that i live to far for them to remedy the situation.

When the appointed time, I took my auto in and was advised due to the business for the day I would would have to leave my auto. I was given a courtesy car to drive during this time. I was kept up to date on the repairs for my car. ( an additional part was required). My auto was returned to me with all repairs completed.I am very happy with my experience with Jack Ingram Volkswagon. I appreciate their service.Thank you for the opportunity to express it.

The dealership was transparent from start to finish and the ability to do an overnight test drive with each trim we looked at helped seal the deal. Plus, you get so many more features in a VW compared to similarly priced SUVs from other companies. Definitely the easiest car buying process Ive experienced and would absolutely recommend checking out this VW dealership.

Even though I bought the car there and was promised good service, they cannot address a safety issue for weeks. Car companies used to help people from out of town and they always promise to service your car if you buy from them. Not any more. The sales manager also didnt care. So I have an appointment with Royal Volkswagen in Birmingham.
