Let me say first off that we had a great experience with these folks and we will definitely buy another car from them in the future.2 things howeverFirst to the seller, please check these cars one more time before they are delivered. The oil was 1/2 a quart low and the coolant was below the minimum line. The tires were 5 lbs low on all 4 corners as well.As a buyer, don’t get to too wrapped up in the excitement of buying a car. These cars have a “history” as clearly stated when buying. You need to do a very thorough inspection. Make sure you push every button and make sure everything works as it should before moving forward. They will gladly take care of anything you find.I did not, and am now finding things wrong. The seat heaters don’t work and the blend doors in the dash don’t work so, now the weather has cooled down, I can’t get any warm air to my feet. I’m pretty handy and can probably figure these things out and fix them myself, but not every one is.Thanks
Awesome inventory, awesome deals, no nonsense, helpful folks. Highly recommend.
Bought a truck here and honestly got a great deal, I do love my truck. The salesman was very friendly and helped me from a distance. I did have a mechanical issue that was possibly caused by them. To their credit they paid to transport the truck to them and fix the issue saving me almost 2k. if it wasnt for the mechanical issue that I would give them 5 stars. They came through and fixed the issue. Long story short I would buy another car from them again and would recommend them to others
Overall great experience. Got the traverse of my dreams and Sam was great, very knowledgeable! Would definitely recommend to any of my friends!
PLEASE BE AWARE!!!!! They claim there cars are great “adult driven” but what they don’t tell you is EVERY car they sell is bought at a flood auction. Every car they have has been flooded just look up the vin! If you’re okay with that then go for it just be aware!
Overall great experience and Ben is super friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them! Thank you, I absolutely LOVE my new car!
I was a bit hesitant to purchase a vehicle that had a rebuilt title until I went to personally view the truck I brought from this place. It was a Chevy avalanche with only 56k miles and the price was right up my alley. Great vehicle and very great price. No matter the condition of the title, I truly believe the extensive reconditioning that they stated they perform on all there vehicles. This truck is just like new. I’m sure I will check with these guys in the event I need to make another purchase down the road.
I just bought my second car from Southeast Auto Group last week. A few years ago I bought a 2015 BMW 650 convertible on-line at below market price that turned out to be a terrific car. I had the pleasure of working with Ben as my salesperson on that purchase. He is very knowledgeable on all the cars there and is not shy to tell you about them. Last week I bought my second car from them which was a 2017 Range Rover and again at a great value. Everyone at the company seems professional and very helpful but I really enjoy working with Ben on the deals. I like how the dealership does a real good job informing the customers of all issues with the vehicle but I encourage everyone to ask questions to know the value you are getting. I recommended them to a friend and he bought a car this week from the Southeast Auto Group.
Awesome forklift! Great customer service
Excellent buying experience with Sam - worked with me as I was coming in cross country.Drove the car 8 hour homes and have had it almost a month, no issues and extremely happy with my purchase! Will definitely check them out again when im in the market
I was searching the web and stumbled across their listings. Called and spoke to Devin and decided it was worth the 5.5 hour drive. Devin met with me as well as two the owners Lee & Ben. Decided to buy two vehicles with very low miles. After the sale I needed some accessories to help with wheelchair & Devin offered to installed these (steps, hitch and bed cover) for free (Outstanding). They also picked up my 2nd trade and delivered my new one at no additional charge. If you do not have the funds for repairs then salvage is not for you. If you have the funds and dont mind the Risk then I recommend Southeast Auto Group for the best deals. Ask for Sam.
I recently bought my 2nd car from Southeast Auto Group. The cars I’ve received are in great condition. Amazing customer service, easy to deal with, and had an overall positive experience. Would definitely recommend!
In many years of delivering cars all over the states and dealerships/residents, never ever have I been treated with such a disrespect! Owners treated me like a rat and even their employee was shocked! Refused to pay me full amount and mocked me as I am not even a human! When I asked to get paid, owner himself laughed and made me wait on sun for 30 min to get my check so I can leave! Pigs, no other words! Experiencing this just from delivering a car, I can only imagine how they would treat you after a sale is done...(btw, great employee they got there! Dude was very nice and helpful! Surprised he still works there)
I just bought my 3rd vehicle from Southeast Auto Group and the experience gets better each time. They advertise accurately and do what the say. Yes, some of these cars my have had issues but they fully disclose everything and you cant beat the price. The website shows what your buying, well listed. this last purchase was shipped directly to my house, several hundred miles from the showroom. I bought the truck directly from them over the phone, sight unseen, thats how much I trusted Ben, Lee and the whole gang.Yes, I would buy from them again!
Made an impromptu appointment on a Saturday to look at a vehicle. We were traveling from out of state and arrived a little early. Sam promptly greeted us and showed us the car we had come to see. From the initial handshake Sam made us feel as if we were dealing with a friend. We will definitely be back and have already recommended them to family and friends!
If you really want to get scammed and come out of this place full of lie, this is your place to go! Brothers are very professional at lying and treating you with no respect! They simply do not care about their customers! Someone need to close them down!
Wonderful! Wish I knew about them sooner!
I live in New Jersey and found a car at this dealership in North Carolina, Ben the owner Made me feel extremely confident that I was buying a car in great condition he was transparent and disclosed everything he FaceTime me to show me everything! Also set up fast safe delivery right to my front door at a great price as well ...great communication great price just an overall great experience buying a car site unseen, Ben is true professional and extremely trustworthy, I highly recommend this dealership, and if you know us jersey people were not easy to please!!
I bought a truck from The Group, got a great deal on it, but then soon realize that the vehicle just wasn’t for me.I reviewed their website, called back my sales guy, and told him I’d like to trade it back in and swap it out for a different vehicle...and they did it!No harassment. No troubles. They simply just got it done! I didn’t lose anything on the trade-in or anything.I feel like this is a company that stands by their product with honesty and trustworthiness. Every single vehicle that I buy for the rest of my life is going to be done through these guys.Other dealers, take note, this is how business should be done!
My husband and I had been looking for over two months for my perfect “dream car”. I simply did not want to pay an outrageous price and/or have to deal with car salesmen that would waste all day going back and forth on what their managers said they could/could not do when it came to price. Finding Southeast Auto Group was a dream come true and Ben was the absolute BEST! After finding them through a random internet search and setting a time to come and see my dream car, the rest was a breeze. There was never any pressure from them to buy and the price they quote (which was a far better price than any we had encountered before them) is the price you pay! Period! I am now the proud owner of a Cadillac Escalade. I am so thankful for Ben & Southeast Auto Group!
I purchased six vehicles in six years from Southeast Auto Group (yes, i love high end sports cars :). They not only have the best deals anywhere but great service after the fact (when you actually need it). Seems a normal routine for me to drive a car for a year then give it back to them to sell without losing my shirt... love these guys...great family business and i am happy to be part of it...
I really had a great experience working with these guys. Very professional and helpful. We had went to several big box dealerships and felt like a number at all of them, always trying to put us and what they had more than what we were looking for. Ben and the guys listened to what we were looking for and delivered exactly what we wanted. Honestly could not have been easier.
We bought a Tesla from them. Worked with Ben who was very knowledgeable and efficient. The transaction was straightforward. They have a fair but firm business model combing the market to get good deals to re-sell. It works well and in our experience was a win-win.
Over the weekend I went to test drive a 2013 Ford mustang overall I had a very good experience from Ben I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a used car with low miles..
Devin is great. Provides awesome customer service and follow up. Honors agreements and is very forthright. Recently purchased a vehicle. It’s still early however I am comfortable knowing that I can come to them if there are any issues and I won’t be treated poorly now that the purchase is complete. I am very satisfied thus far!
We found working with Ben and Max a great experience. They let us test drive the vehicle we were interested in for the day and also assured the necessary mechanical checkups to give us confidence we were buying a great car. They made the purchase process very easy. Southeast Auto has an excellent high end vehicle selection extremely competitive prices. Check them out!
Great company to deal with! The staff was very friendly and the vehicle I purchased was immaculate!6 Month Update: The Jeep that I purchased still runs strong! Ive driven it over 10,000 miles (across the Country and back) so far and have not had any major problems. The only thing that Ive replaced is a button and a door gasket.
This dealer was awesome for the used car buying experience. I got exactly what I needed at a great price with little to no headache at all! You cant really beat that these days when it comes to car buying. I highly commend Sam Whittington for being prompt and precise in handling all affairs related to making my purchase as quick as can be!
I would like to take this time to thank Lee, Max and Sam for a very pleasurable experience in purchasing my new car and I was extremely pleased when it arrived...purchasing a vehicle, with a high cost value(2017 Mercedes S550 Convertible), from long distance, is not an easy task...but it was much easier to have less control of this process with the warm, southern hospitality and thoughtful customer service you three, plus your lovely secretaries, showed me...much thanks, stay blessed, one love...Cuzin Vinnie
Recently purchased a 2008 Toyota Highlander - V6 Engine. The vehicle was in top-notch, mint condition. Lee and his son Max mentioned and described it was in great condition and the results were spot on. The Highlander drove and still drives super smooth, and I havent had any issues since purchase. I would definitely recommend Southeast Auto Group and speaking with Lee. He was helpful, courteous and honest. It was a pleasure to do business with them and will definitely return.
Went to the dealership to look at the Focus RS they have and was told that the branded title was part of an insurance claim a dealership made due to a flood and that the car was inside the showroom at the time so nothing was wrong with it. After typing the vin into google I found that the car was submerged in a few feet of water with pictures of the seats being wet. Would never buy from this dealership as they lie to their customers faces. Do your research before buying here.
My wife found the car of her dreams at the Southeast Auto Group, who are in North Carolina while we are in fact living in Texas!!Max (the owner/dealer) got on the phone with me - after my wife told me to “GET THAT CAR” and was very detailed in his description of the condition and quality of this car.I just thought he was a typical car dealer telling me the car “is almost perfect, and so clean and perfect that I (Max) am thinking of keeping it and making it my personal car”.Yea, right, I thought. We went ahead and had the car inspected by a third party who (I’ll be darned) confirmed Max’s description and gave us more energy and confidence to trust Max, his description and his dealership.Max and I struck a deal, negotiated a great price and he shipped us the car.It arrived days later and my wife literally shook and cried (no exaggeration) when she saw it!We are thrilled with the car, with the price we paid, the speed and carefulness with which it was delivered, and with Max, Ben and Lisa and the folks at Southeast Auto Group! My wife and I would encourage folks to buy from these people as our shopping and buying experience was spectacular!!Put us down as happy campers and devoted supportive fans of Max and his company.Doug & Cheryl Pederson
Overall a great experience. Explained all the details and history of the vehicle as well as what my possible other options could have been. I will definitely buy from Sam and team again.
Everyone at the dealership was very helpful and professional. They helped me with getting a very good rate on the financing of my car and it was cleaner and nicer than they described . They created a wonderful experience which few car dealers do today. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.
These people are great! I bought a car from them and it needed an o2 sensor. They put a new one in and stated that if I needed the other fixed to bring the car in and they will fix that one as well. Very honest. I love my car! Thanks guys
Great company to deal with. Helpful and friendly salesman, mechanics, office staff, and owners. We got a great deal on a rebuilt title Yukon Denali with low miles. Weve been driving it for a couple of months now on trips as well as locally, and we are happy to say that the rebuilt title should not discourage you from buying from these experienced dealers.** a drop in starsAfter we put 8,000 miles on it we noticed water leaking from the rear end. There should have been no water and grease should have been replaced. As a result, we now need to replace the rear end because of rust.
These e bay auctions are fraudulent. They set a reserve and have someone almost meet the reserve to try and sell cars. I asked them many questions about the car and they blocked me. There is no way a salvaged car will sell at the same price of an unsalvaged car. Wish there were some honest dealerships out there.
BEST car buying experience I have ever had! -2015 Jaguar F-Type S Coupe - .The team at Southeast Auto Group are knowledgeable, professional and willing to work hard for your business. Ben is expert in supporting you through the loan options and application process. My new car was delivered, as described and inspected to New Jersey without issue. I highly recommend Southeast Auto Group - Karl New Jersey.
This dealership is out of this world. I was very skeptical of the pricing and condition of the advertised cars prior to visiting the dealer but my fears were all misplaced. When my wife and I first arrived they told us that two of the cars we were looking for had sold the day before. I jumped to the conclusion quickly that it was a bait and switch scam with the website - I was wrong about this as well. The sold cars were still on the lot waiting to be picked up. The condition of the vehicle that we purchased was excellent, exactly as advertised. The staff was very low pressure regarding sales which was totally unexpected. Completely worth the drive and time to make an appointment. These guys are knowledgeable, fair, and extremely competitive on price. They have the best prices that I have seen in the state hands down. Cant write enough good things about my experience, definitely recommend these guys.
I highly recommend Southeast Auto Group, based on my experience as a customer. They offer great value alternatives to what you may find in the everyday market, their staff is very knowledgeable and they stand behind their product..even better than I had expected. I will definitely be a returning customer!
Insurance claim vehicles bu humbug these are flood cars!!!! I test drove a 2019 Honda Pilot that was gorgeous minus the mud and water line stains inside doors. Even though Sam said water never got in vehicle. I smell BS... Buyer beware...
Worst people I have ever had to deal with! Very rude, unprofessional and biggest liars! Had a very disgusting experience today! Never again! Avoid this place at all cost!
Everyone here is so friendly and helpful!! You couldnt ask for better customer service!!! My parents bought a car here and their follow up service has been outstanding. Im in the market for a new car very soon and this is the only place Id consider buying it from.
Southeast Auto Group. There isnt enough space for me to tell you just how wonderful this team was. Not only was the staff exceedingly friendly when we were browsing for an SUV, but they made our trade in and paperwork process seamless by their positive energy and personalities. It was so enjoyable working with them. It didnt stop there! My wife and I were in the process of moving to Seattle. We ran into some hiccups with our registration process, and when any other dealer would of charged us and made life hard on us, Lee continued to take care of us! He helped us out with ensuring our registration process would be seamless when we got to Washington. He stayed In communication with us personally and ensured us everything would be alright and just to call if we had any questions. We were able to register smoothly, and finally get everything taken care. Lee and his family were absolutely the BEST group of people to work with. I guarantee there is NO ONE that will provide the services that this team did. We are in the market for another car and I cant tell you how disappointed I am that I wont get to work with Southeast Auto Group again. There is no one else that can even come close to their level customer service. Thank you for everything! Seth and Natalie.
In July 2018 I bought a GLK 350, which Im very pleased with the SUV. I took the SUV to Mercedes Benz to be completely checked and they told me that the SUV was in excellent condition. I believe this dealership sales quality cars and the best part is that is locally family owned. I will continue to buy all my cars from this dealership in the years to come. Thank you very much to Sam the sales person and the entire staff from the mechanic all the way to the owners.
Very responsive, knowledgeable, and professional. no lies! you get the honest truth
If you dont have the common sense to run a car fax then you dont deserve to be driving a car. This company sells SALVAGED VEHICLES deemed as TOTAL LOSS by insurance companies. If the car isnt salvaged there are SERIOUS RECALL ISSUES. Why risk your life for a good price on a car that will ultimately turn out to be a piece of junk ?Now if these guys flat out stated that the vehicles they sell are pretty and expensive lemons, thats fine. Just dont act like your giving customers a great price just because you can.
These guys are the best. They picked me up at the airport, and got me in and out quickly in my dream car! They have an awesome inventory on the lot.
I bought a Porsche 911 and had a five star experience with Ben and the team. I highly recommend them!
Great buying experience, bought a Tahoe and love it.👍👍
Bought a WRX from these guys a few months ago and they were great, we had to fly out to pick the car up so we had an inspection company come and check the car out. It was a company the dealer recommended so we went with that. The report came back and everything was good, fluids, oil, all the dings and scratches were made known so we flew out and got the car. The dealer even picked us up in a Bentley. Everything was great until we got the car back home and I started doing some cleaning and maintenance. There was no AIR FILTER in the car, loose parts in the engine bay, and it turns out it was in an accident even tho they said it was not. Took it in to the local dealer to have a switch replaced that was in the inspection companies review of the car, while the dealer was fixing that I had them check everything else over and what they found was unbelievable. The radiator was CAKED in mud, all the fluids were milky and soaked in water, the pulleys were all rusted and had to be replaced. Then they found that the clutch was also bad. These are not problems I caused. These guys are dishonest and I would never get a car from them again. Shop elsewhere.
The brothers were great in expediting the process of buying the car and were very friendly!! I would wholeheartedly send any of my friends to these guys for a great deal on a vehicle.Update: I have owned my car for a few months now and can say I am thoroughly pleased with my purchase and highly recommend anyone looking to save some serious money and time to go to this dealer!!Update July 2016: Just finished buying my third vehicle from this dealership and am completely satisfied along with my wife and mother in law... Totally worth the three hour drive to get there and save some serious money!!!
The entire team provided a very pleasant buying experience. This was my second car I purchased this year from Southeast Auto Group and happy with both vehicles.
I don’t normally go out of my way to write online reviews but these guys deserve one. This dealership, by far, was the best dealership and sales experience I’ve ever had. The sons of the owner both helped me out today and they REALLY know what they are talking about. If you are looking at a car from this dealership, do not hesitate to buy from these guys. They are as honest as they come; they care about your wants and needs; they are well informed so YOU can be well informed. I can’t say enough positive things about my experience today.
I purchased my first vehicle from the auto group back in December and I can honestly say that Ive never had a better auto purchase experience. The sales and management team (Max, Ben, and Sam) helped me along the entire process with a knowledge of their vehicles rarely found at a car dealership. They gave amazing financial advice that ended up saving me hundreds of dollars and they make the entire process so simple. Post-purchase, Max gave me his direct line for if I had any issues with the vehicle; which I did due to normal aging of a vehicle and I have never seen better customer service. He got me in immediately and worked tirelessly to correct the issue. This service is absent in todays dealerships and Im honestly still surprised at how knowledgeable and helpful him and his team have been. I highly recommend them for anyone looking to purchase a vehicle.
Great experience and no hassle! Devin and Lisa were extremely patient and helpful, and very hospitable. Would recommend to anyone looking for a new vehicle!
Lee and family are great. Bought a 2013 GMC Sierra from them. No problems what so ever.Dont understand the negative reviews talking about factory warranties and not knowing about the titles being salvaged.Lee and his boys are honest from the get go. They will even explain to you why the titles is salvaged and that all factory warranties are voided.Give them a call!
Great service, nice variation of cars
I received prompt responses to all my inquiries whenever I called or emailed. When I told them we (my wife and I) were going to drive down (3 hours) the next day to look at the vehicle, Sam indicated there were no other appointments to see the CR-V, and the next morning he confirmed they were ready for us.When we arrived, they had the vehicle available and ready to inspect and drive. We were allowed to test drive the vehicle by ourselves (Im not sure if this is standard policy) for as long as we wanted, and we were encouraged to have it inspected while we were out.The vehicle itself (a 2018 Honda CR-V EXL) was in excellent all around shape. Very clean. After a thorough inspection, we only found a couple small places of exposed raw steel on the interior of the vehicle where there were some spots of orange rust. This was not concerning, given the otherwise impeccable condition of the vehicle. The only thing that gave us pause is the certain level of mystery surrounding the history of a branded title vehicle. But the truth is, any used vehicle will come with an element of the unknown, and in this case, the condition -- and price -- easily compensated. One thing that was especially refreshing when dealing with The Group NC: We payed the sale price, period. No haggling. No processing fees whatsoever. Our price included a 12 month 18k mile Diamond Warranty, as well as an extra key fob. Not sure thats always the case, depending on the vehicle. (We will pay the sales tax when we register the car at our local Virginia DMV.)Overall, the folks at Southeast Auto Group were responsive, courteous, and easy to work with. We wold definitely recommend, and the next time we need a vehicle, there is an excellent chance well buy from them again.
Love my car and the price/service that came with it! Thanks Sam!
Devin, Lee and Ben were most helpful in securing a wonderful car for my wife and I...This is our fourth purchase from Southeastern Auto Group and I can’t be more thrilled with their quality service and helpful attitude!Great prices, accommodating and friendly staff what more could one ask for!
I bought a car from them almost 2 years ago and it was the best buying experience I have had. I got a carfax report prior to purchase. The car was spot less and in perfect condition. I had my personal mechanic (father is a certified mechanic) inspect it. Havent had any issues. I would buy from them again
Fantastic deal on a car here. Sam was very good, no pressure. Also no Doc fees!! Will be back
Be sure to do your homework when shopping here. Be sure you watch for flood and salvaged title work. Seems like dirty business and they dont seem to really care that youre even in the building. This staff needs customer service training and some hospitality training.
This was the first time in my 76 years that I have participated in an eBay auction for a car. I had been searching for acar like this for 21/2 years. There was always something shutting a deal down. These guys at Southeast Auto Group bent over backwards to assist. Primarily Ben and Sam. They answered all my questions even responded to my discovering some complaints. I know from experience you cant please everyone. They were straight shooters all the way to the trucker that delivered my car to the west coast. Very professional and the cost was reasonable. Thank you guys..this Lexus SC 450 is a beauty and at 43 k miles for a 2007 leaves me lots of room to drive ......good experience
Excellent experience with these folks. The car I purchased was exactly as advertised and the service was great. Definitely recommend.
Great family to deal with. Luv our car & luv their service! Thank u guys!
I tried to buy a vehicle online from these guys, very little responses and avoids any major questions such as how bad were the damages. However, the owner did try to make a minimal effort. Nice cars, salvaged and damaged vehicles, shady dealer.
Best experience for vehicle purchasing and overall knowledge of their vehicle inventory.
Ive bought two cars from Lee and his family, both times great experiences. Prices are incredibly fair and the no hassle buying couldnt be easier. Car buying is built on trust and after knowing Lee for several years its clear his eithics and operation are built around repeat business. Cars bought, Infiniti G Convertible, BMW 5-series.
We had been searching the state and surrounding states for a safe, reliable, economical vehicle for our oldest daughter. Let me tell you I am a car dealers worst nightmare, Im an engineer in the Automotive component manufacturing industry. I am a very cynical and picky car buyer. I learned well from my Grandfather to be very particular, and thorough when it comes to buying a car. Well we hit a gem in both vehicle and dealer on this one. Max is a good young man with an old soul that honestly I didnt think existed in their industry anymore. Ben also was young and yet very professional and finally Lisa handled all the paperwork quickly and ease. Your parents and family should be very proud of the way you all handle your business. Straight forward, NO HASSLE, will when needed definitely look here first and send people your way. I have already bragged to family and coworkers how easy it was to work with you all.
Drove for an hour in my shelby to look at their viper and they went for a test drive in my car and checked my car out, and also lowballed me on my mint tastefully modded gt500 with 25k in mods but wouldnt even let me start their silver viper that had dirty carfax due to a severe accident. And from the looks of it repaired not to well. So I got up and left. Place is a waste of time. Wouldnt buy a beater from them.
Good price. Seemed to be honest salsmen. Ask for Ben!!
I have bought 5 cars from Southeast Auto Group in the past 7 years and have regularly recommended the dealership to friends and family. Their prices are fair and the staff is friendly and helpful.
This dealership is very relaxed and do not put pressure on you to buy anything. They will even let you test drive the vehicle on your own (although not sure about the supercars lol). Seem to be honest about why the car was salvaged and back their work with 1year/18k bumper to bumper warranty. At the end of the day it is still a calculated risk buying a previously salvaged title, but I felt comfortable doing it because they seem like true professionals and not into scamming people.UPDATE: So a year has passed since I bought my 2016 Tacoma from these guys. About a month after I got it, I did have one issue with the starter going out... but the warranty was easy to work with and Southeast Auto replaced it for free and flat bedded the truck back to me for free. Other then that, the truck has been great! No issues at all. I even pulled a 6 x 12 fully loaded Uhaul trailer from NC to my new home in Oregon and it did great!
Outstanding, straight forward transaction. The Porsche that I purchased was exactly as advertised and priced well below anywhere else in the country, and I got a very fair, no negotiations necessary, price on my trade in.I HIGHLY recommend Southeast Auto Group.
Lee & Ben give the best deals around. They are honest about the vehicles and disclose everything.
So they are not flixable with the price, untrustworthy, I bought a BMW from those guys as a clean title, I ran a check up of the blue book car was owned by 5 people within 3 years, says no accident everything is perfect. I received the title to find out the car was flooded, and to be registered as salvage.
I bought three cars from Lee in the past year. A 2013 Hyundai Elantra, a 2013 Hyundai Veloster and a 2013 Mazda 3. I was able to test drive and inspect all of them any way I wanted. Service was great with low pressure sales and the cars were accurately described. I will definitely buy another car from Southeast Auto Group and recommend it to others!
Best car buying experience Ive ever had. Lee and his team are so friendly and helpful, they made it so easy to buy a car.
Good place. Good service1
Reasonable prices, not very eager to make a sale
I was in search of a 2nd vehicle, I came across this dealership online and decided to check them out being it was not to far from the house. They sold me an Ford Edge, stating it was a trade in and was in very good condition... only had it for 6 months now, went for oil change and ford dealer told me it was so dryed out that it must of been 6 months or more since last done, then had to get the axel replaced, now the Catalytic converter has went bad, and going to cost me over $2000 to replace it!!!! All with in 6 months of owning it!!! Would give 0 stars but have to list at least 1, if I could I would take it back and get my deposit back to find something else, since I have a SUV sitting in my yard thats not drivable and still making payments on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ben and his Manager tried to stiff me for my trade in, which I PURCHASED FROM THEM! Not only did I make the drive from Jacksonville FL, but the fact they tried to stiff a Veteran wad sad, and unprofessional. NEVER PURCHASE FROM BEN!!!!
So, on March 17th I bought a 2013 Audi A8 L here with about 72,000 Miles on it. The air was not working properly and I assumed it was an easy fix . The first indication that I should have told me I was in trouble came when we came across a collision in the Carfax not mentioned by Ben . We did however decide that for the price and the date of the collision - 2014, that it would probably be OK . It was admittedly a gorgeous car and I was excited as we drove it home that day. That Monday I had the air checked and was told it was a bad compressor by an Audi dealer in GSO . I also had about $2, 500 of work done which I chalked up to standard maintenance of an older car. I called Southeast about the AC and reminded them that the car was still covered under the right of rescission. The gentleman ( Devin, a good guy ) I spoke to told me that the owner would take care of the AC but that I had to bring it back down to Mooresville to have them do the repairs. at the end of the week I did that. They were not quite ready for me yet as the part had not come in but I was okay with that. That was March 23rd. April 28th is when I finally got my car back . Its not that Southeast did not act in good faith trying to get the car back to me but the reality is that they sold me a lemon. Today I was told by Audi in GSO that the car needs $11,000 in work for a new turbo charger. I have put less than 3,000 miles on it since picking it up on April 28th so that Turbo charger was probably on its last legs when they sold it to me. I dont think anything Southeast did was malicous or intentional but they sell suspect luxury cars and I should have been smarter and smart enough to have walked away when I realised what I was getting into. Please be very careful if you decide to do business with them and get all the facts on the car you are considering before buying. I have nothing against them personally but my $28,000 car is now up to $43,000 so I cannot in good conscience recommend them to anyone else.
I purchased two 2016 vehicles from Southeast Auto Group. Devin was great. 2016 Truck with 180 miles and a 2016 Jaguar with about 3k miles. Both were advertised as minor flood damage. Love both vehicles. Just know that if you are buying salvage you will NOT have a factory warranty so be sure to buy an extended warranty. We saved a lot on two beautiful vehicles. Was hoping the warranties would not be voided based on what we were told prior to buying however learned after purchasing that ALL salvaged vehicle warranties are VOID. Also understand that you are buying salvage. Just because they are advertised as only having minor water damage that may not be accurate. After having ours inspected we learned that both had major body damage as well as water damage when salvaged. We also learned that even if they rebuild it and have it inspected for a rebuilt title, that DMV may still only send you a TOTAL LOSS CLAIM (salvaged) title and registration. If you want to save money on a nice vehicle and dont mind taking the RISK of buying salvage then we recommend Southeast Auto Group for the best deals.
SCAMERS!!!CRIMINALS!!!!LOOK at all of the cars....all mercedes have claster replaced...they sell cars with FAKE MILES>>>>....thats why they have good deal....they buy cars with 100.000 miles, replace cluster, and put low miles on it....they buy junk, order new title and give you good deal.....
Went to inspect a vehicle listed on eBay which was supposed to be in excellent condition. Took a day off work to inspect the truck and when I arrived it was clear that the vehicle had front end damage that had been repaired poorly. Of course none of this was disclosed in the auction or Carfax report. After looking at the other vehicles on his lot and shop I would be VERY cautious of what this gentleman sells. Typical sleazy used car lot and a very sour experience indeed. Fixes wrecked cars and doesnt disclose the damage, NO THANKS!! Find a different place to shop.
Bought a 2010 BMW wagon and had it shipped to CA. Process was smooth and everything went as advertised.
Very similar experience to Cody Draper review-2months ago. Lee, Ben and Max are very friendly people. HOWEVER, when there is a problem with the vehicle they want to blame someone else. We purchased a flood title 2015 F350 for almost $40,000 which they advised had never had any water in the engine and emailed us advising that the vehicle was pristine. We purchased believing what they had said. That was Dec 2015, however in Mar 2016 it requires a complete new fuel system quoted at $12,000 by Ford dealership (though they agreed to do for $9,600). They found extensive evidence of rust in the system that they advised would have been from the flood damage. They tested the fuel we have on board now as Lee from Sth East Auto blames the fuel we got, however, it is free from contaminates. I had correspondence with them and was told by Max that they would help us to get it repaired, however, when Ford confirmed that the rust was old amd was throughout the entire fuel system I received an email from them and was told it was Fords problem and they wished us luck but would not help. We contacted the BBB who advised us they have had 4 previous complaints against Sth East Auto group and as Sth East Auto group are not a BBB member they suggested we contact the North Carolina Department of Justice which we have and have now lodged a complaint. Again, these are nice guys, however, this is our experience and we would recommend to anyone considering buying a vehicle from them to be aware of what problems you may encounter down the track if there is an issue. Had we been told that the vehicle fuel system had been contaminated by the flood, then we would never have purchased the vehicle
I purchased a 2010 Cadillac CTS Wagon from this dealership today and Im in love! The wagon is in mint condition with very low mileage. Steve and Ben really helped me out a lot and gave me a great price on my trade in car. I feel like other car dealerships tend to screw you over either with your trade in or purchasing a car... But these guys did neither. Im really impressed with the customer service and my cadi! Thank you so much guys.P.S. The paperwork is a breeze!
I was interested in a Maserati this dealership has listed on cargarus. Sorry, gentlemen, your reputation has given you away. It is despicable to think someone like you would sell flood damage cars, hail damage cars, wrecked cars and mechanically deficient cars, without disclosure to an unsuspecting public. You are a disgrace to your profession. Youre not deserving of even one star, however, that is the only way one can post!
Good service,and affordable used cars
Horrible place! I had came from Atlanta to check out an acura mdx (2010) with 25k Mikes for around 29950. I spoke with Lee and he specifically told me that there was only some paint that was redone on the left back panel and that all the panels had their von stickers. The two front side panels didnt have a bin label, there was clear indication of the entire car was (poorly) repainted. On top of that the cars passenger front door wasnt closing properly. The car was most likely wrecked and fixed but the car fax and auto check where clear. I asked for the auction report that would list all the issues and they said they didnt have it. I looked at other cars in the lot and they also had been repainted completely. This dealer is shady and cant be trusted. They are selling bad cars.
If you are a novice car buyer and want the big dealership, sign and drive experience, this place is not for you. If you are an experienced car buyer, have a good idea of what you want, and are willing to do your homework, then you should definitely consider Southeast. You stand to get a lot more car for less money then you would spend at a big dealership.I purchased a VW Passat Wagon which was a hard to find item since VW discontinued exporting this car to the US after 2010. The car available was in excellent condition and had come off a GM lease. I obtained my own vehicle history report (these are cheap and readily available), and the car came up clean. I had the car inspected by an independent mechanic. A few minor items were noted which Southeast addressed at no charge. The trade-in allowance for my GMC Envoy was about 15% more than offers from other dealerships, and the price of the VW was about 15% - 20% below the KBB and NADA retail estimates for this year and model.Purchasing the car was about a two to three week process . . . mostly attributable to my homework, mechanics inspection and lining up my own financing (check out PenFed). During this time, Lee and his staff were never pushy and never created a false sense of urgency because of some other phantom buyer. As a final note, I am writing this review over a year after I purchased the VW wagon, and the car is still running beautifully. Southeast is on my list for future vehicle purchases.
Awesome service! Had a small problem they fixed it
He pulls the check lights out and sells you cars knowing there are problems and lies about there being any problems with it i am a former employee of his i worked there and would not buy a car from him i went to a different place to buy my cars and so did my friends and family i did not trust them for my family and i was the mechanic there if that tells you any thing he sells flood cars as if nothing was had happened to them dont trust him lee is the owner
They lied about wrapped brake rotors, damaged flywheel and clutch housing, malfunctioning electronics, and cheap terrible tires.
