Yall! This is SUCH a delightful, delicious, small town vibe. The General Store is on the bottom and Swedes is upstairs overlooking. The food is fantastic. Go and enjoy! You can thank me later.

Swede’s Cafe is THE place to go fir your breakfast or lunch. I love my honey lavender latte. It’s perfect every single time. Starbucks can’t do that it depends on their barista. But here at Swedes inside Morganton General Store upstairs it’s the nest. It made my move faster I knew I could get great coffee, friendly staff and caring. They have made my time by myself until my family moves so much easier. Check this place out!

Really enjoyed their Iced honey/vanilla coretado latte. Their egg bowl scramble is deceptively filling, basic but tasty. My wife really enjoys their scones. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is pretty cool being over a neat little shop with fun nit-knacks.

We forgot to take pics of the food! Almost all gone, and you know by now that’s a sign :) We were passing through from a graduation in Boone. Googled coffee shops and this hidden gem came up! Prompt service and perfect brunch like menu.

Excellent, very nice folks. Unique breakfast meals that we all enjoyed. They use locally roasted coffee and have an espresso machine.

Usually have good service. Food is always excellent. Was disappointed today because I called in an order and it took 40 MINUTES for me to be able to get my order and leave. It wasnt crowded. I spent at least 20 of those minutes at the Cafe waiting for my food.

Quesadilla was awesome. Friendly staff. You can eat inside or outside. It was nice!

Passing through town we stumbled upon this Cafe, located downtown on the second floor above a cute gift shop. Very cute, super clean spot with delicious food & coffee!! We stopped for breakfast, we tried the homemade scones, breakfast sandwiches, banana & PB wrap & french toast. All super yummy!! The mocha was amazing!! Then you get to shop when youre done; win, win!!

Love this place. Great coffee, wonderful food. BBQ pork is the BEST. The staff is so friendly. Upstairs in Morganton General Store, you can look down and check out all the activity downstairs. Best of all... Open on Sundays!

Only thing missing was a great dijon like Lusty monk or Mr. Mustard and will be a 5*****. Vivian ordered the chicken salad on a croissant and was totally happy too. Great chip choices, fresh fruit. This place is a keeper. The General Store downstairs is super cute too with a good selection of puzzles and toys, interesting candy and desserts, sauces, and gourmet foods. Love it!

My wife and I were doing a weekend away at a local airbnb. The need for coffee and food was strenuous. Thankfully we found this place; we got their milky way coffee, a honey lavender latte, fresh scones, and 2 Brandi Bs. Everything was delicious. We really want the scone recipe! Thanks for having such a cute atmosphere and great food!

Love to take my little one for a treat here. She loves the hot cocoa and cookies they even cool off the hot coco for her so it isnt to hot.

Just ordered breakfast and had it delivered as its too cold for me to get out. OUTSTANDING!! Once I places my order it was here within 30 minutes. The sandwich was hot and fresh and very tasty! I WILL be making this a regular thing! Thanks you Swedes!

We ordered French toast sandwiches. We were given French toast. When I brought it up that our order was wrong, the person that took our order acted like I was lying even though she asked my significant other to repeat themselves. Poor service.

Everything was fresh and light. The food was great. I had an egg salad sandwich with a side salad and iced tea. Even the bathroom was pleasant. Id definitely come back again!

Stopped in for a bite to eat and then to study for a while. Great Atmosphere and coffee. I had a salad, and my granny had soup. The third story was a great quite space to study on a Sunday morning.

My favorite coffee shop in town!! I come here at least a couple times a week to get my Iced Lavender Honey Latte and a scone. Its delicious and the staff are amazing! They always remember my order when I come in and theyre always super helpful!

I always love when Samuel is working!!! He’s a great barista and doesn’t just steam the milk and and pop it in the drink like another guy works there. I’m a barista myself and appreciate his sweet and chipper attitude. And he’s Very knowledgeable! Josh is also a great cook and his specials are fantastic! Great place for lunch and I order it from brown mountain all the time.
