The location had bugs dead and alive in the waiting room. I advised one of the workers. He claimed they clean and spray but bugs returned. Didnt look clean.Worn furniture. I didnt feel comfortable so decided to wait outside in 90 plus degree temps.Workers were professional.Brake pads were done in about 90 minutes.They forgot to give me myLug lock so I had to return in order to retrieve.Removed my clothes in the garage at home. Shook them and washed immediately.If the facility was clean would have given a higher rating.

I had been coming to this shop since I got my driver’s license. But there is a new owner. Doesn’t carry traditional oil. Which is fine. Except his extremely rude comment that I go buy my own oil and do an oil change myself. Now why would I have made an oil change appointment if I had the knowledge to do it myself? Super rude and unprofessional. Life-time customer lost in a minute due to the complete abscense of professional courtesy. Seems like a frat dude, not a professional.EDIT, Response to owner: I expected professionalism when I was physically in your business, not only after you receive a bad review. I went into Meineke today to make an appointment for an oil change on a future date. I was completely under the impression that we had to make an appointment or have a standing appointment and not expect walk in service. Of course I walked in and was greeted immediately by Nino with a very welcoming personality. I told him “I know we are suppose make an appointment to get an oil change, so can I please do that”? Nino immediately told me that if I had the time right then, that he could take my car in to do the oil change right away and that it would take an hour to complete the whole oil change process with rotation and inspection from start to finish. Of course I agreed to let him do it. Right before the end of the process, Nino approached me about a few things they noticed during the inspection process, that I may want to concern having them complete at this time of service. I asked him if they can do one of the items on the list and he said “of course”. I greatly appreciated that he didn’t try and push or convince me to do have them do the other two things.. Like he said, my car was in and out of there in no time. I have to say that I was very impressed with his customer service, honesty, and the way he values his customers.

So, so disappointed that neither of the two employees wore masks the entire time I was there waiting for an oil change, nor did there appear to be any policy enforcing customers to wear them.We have always relied on this particular Meineke for service; they are honest, and we have always been happy with the work theyve performed. But to not require employees to follow a mask mandate at the peak of a pandemic is beyond irresponsible.Im so sad to say I will no longer be patronizing this establishment for our auto repairs or maintenance.

This Meineke team does its due diligence to inspect the car thoroughly to really narrow down what the issue might be with your car. I had a problem with my Heater/AC and the Manager (Dave Becker) took the time to explain the repair process and provided professional honest services. Highly recommended. Try to get in early before the holidays, they get pretty busy around that time.

These guys are great. Are honest and will not try to up-sell you necessary repairs. Very fair prices. Will be returning.

Great place to take your car for repairs. Guys are respectful and dont try to sell you things you dont need. They are fast, friendly and the convenience of having a take home car while yours is getting repair is a huge plus.

I took my car to this location to get my A/C problem diagnosed and breaks lubed before a long, hot, drive to Nevada. They told me to fix my A/C it would cost $1,400+. Didn’t have the money, so I didn’t get it done. As for the breaks, they told be it would be a quick fix. I payed for the breaks, only to drive off with them still screeching. I made it to vegas and find out it was only a $100 fix at another Meineke shop! Long story short, I wasted my time, $65 dollars and drove to the desert with no A/C. Wouldn’t recommend.

I, like most people, waited till the last minute for routine maintenance on my vehicle. My front brakes were completely shot and I called. I talked to Dave and he explained that they were closing early but would still get me in. He also explained if needed they would stay late to ensure my service was completed. I was in and out in less than 40 minutes. Best service I have ever had at this location. I will come back for future service because of this and would recommend to everyone.

The work they did on my muffler was well done but they caused an O2 sensor issue in the process of replacing the muffler. They didnt secure any of the wire connectors to the body they were just dangling? Despite the warranty they provide on their work they wouldnt take a look at the sensor issue without charging $129 for just the diagnosis. Ive been to plenty of shops in the area, overall their per hour labor cost is fairly high so Im surprised by the poor customer service

I this time bought a control arm as what Dave instructed me to do and he was nice enough to install it for free and now the vehicle is safe and running well for my daughter to drive. I brought my 2011 rouge because of knocking sound on the right tire . Now I just have to worry about paying the bill of $ 1400.00 that may have not been needed.

Highly recommended. Today was my second visit to this Meineke this year. Both times I was treated honestly. This time the owner handled my issue in 10 min. Just needed a rattle fix. Turns out it was a heat shield that rusted. Prices fair and very professional. Give these guys a try and I think you will be satisfied.

Called the store and set-up an appointment. Upon arriving I was told that I had no appointment & I had dialed the wrong number? I called the same number back the next day which is not the “correct” number and had a talk with the person below. He stated that’s not the number which I just called him to talk to & which was listed on google. I was told it was a wrong number first then when I proved it, I was told it was a system “glitch or error” so the appointment wasn’t in the system either. Was offered a free oils change but I’d think twice about ever trying to go there again. This was my first time going to meineke and will never use them again.

What a nice surprise to get really good service at great prices. I took my car into this Meineke for squeaky brakes. They found the problem right away and had all the work done in a couple hours. They even loaned me a car to use while I was waiting. I would definitely go back and also recommend this place.

I dont normally write reviews, but I felt compelled to for my experience here. After getting an oil change at another place, they told me that I needed some brake work. I checked around and decided to visit this Meineke. Dave was super-friendly and his technicians finished the job quickly. He applied coupons automatically, which were better than the ones that I had brought in (and saved me over $150 compared to a quote elsewhere). He even offered a ride to my workplace, and when I declined, he let me use the wifi so I could work in the lobby. Overall, I will definitely bring my car in to this place again!

Brought my car for oil change a few weeks ago. Thought gonna be easy process but they racked(popped) the right front tire when they pull the car onto the lift. When they called me to pick up the car, they did not mention my tire is popped at first and no apologies were given. It sounds like it was naturally damaged.I arrived at the shop and still received no apology from anyone including the owner in the shop. They told me I should be thankful they replaced that broken tire for me and I should also be grateful they did not try to lie or hide it! I tried to explain that since my car is 4WD, it needs to replace both front tires to make the performance balanced. They harshly rejected that request and ask me get our of the shop. One of the tech said get the fxxx out of the shop. At my last request, they reluctantly gave me my receipt and kicked me outside the shop.

I am so happy I decided to stop at Meineke in Mundelein on a whim earlier this year. It has been the best car repair and service center I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Dave and his staff are amazing, they have exceeded all my expectations. There is no other place I would take my car.

Bolt on mechanics at master mechanic prices. Expect to hand out free money to the children who work here if you are willing to entrust them with your vehicle. Dave insults his customers as they walk out the door; If this were a personal business he would have no future, but since its Meineke, who cares right? Lets just screw people out of money.

This is a great, safe place. I called Meineke after having to get new tires due to uneven wear. The tire guys said I was out of alignment so casually it was as if I should some already known this. I wasnt having any pull to either side but potholes and road humps are sneaky. Dave got me in that day and was very decent when I realized this was my first alignment check on a 2008 vehicle and thats probably not a good thing. Their prices seem reasonable, their service is direct, honest, and quick. This place has great customer service! They have a great waiting room.

I originally thought what luck!! I get in the same day that I called for an oil change. the place is average the manager came out with my filter filled with fresh rice and told me that I must have a rodent in my truck and he asked if I park my truck outside because the rodents are living in my truck. well my truck is kept in a garage .I didnt know nor believe that pounds of rice could be carried by rodents and stored in a car that is used daily !! I believe that Rodents chew things! I am Beyond shocked!! Per the oil change my oil indicator was not changed.

I used to trust Meineke at other locations and would always tell my family and friends to go there, and that it was worth it to pay more for better quality service. However, at the Meineke in Mundelein, the staff was dishonest and very rude. I cross-referenced their quote of $2,850.00 to repair shocks, rear brakes, and struts with the actual cost of parts, and found that they had marked up the prices close to 500%! I dont mind paying for labor because it is hard work and I appreciate the expertise, but with a mortgage and student loan payments, I cant afford to pay $250.00 for every $50.00 part. If the markup prices were 200 or even 300% I could understand that they are running a business and need to make a profit, but 500% is an unfair markup that no one should have to pay. When I asked how much they were charging for parts, they became angry and said that each and every part was what their mechanic said was needed. I then spoke with the manager who said that they hadnt even looked at my car yet!! When I asked why his employee said otherwise, and why their information was inconsistent, he became hostile and told me to take my car, that they refused to work on it!! He even went so far as to send me a text telling me that if I did not pick up my car, he would call the police and have it impounded! All because I caught them in a lie?? Extremely unprofessional and NOT trustworthy!! I had this work done at a different shop, that charged me $900.00 for all of the labor and parts combined (a savings of $1,950.00).

Ive been going to this Meineke since it first opened. I have two older cars and have had both cars in a number of times. I could not have treated me better. There have been times I had to wait for unexpected repairs. There is no substitute for the timely way they get things done and service you get being fully informed with honest and very fair estimates. If youre looking to take some of the stress out of getting your car repaired and to get it done right, you would do well to call Rob or Ken.

Excellent customer service. I heard a funny noise in my car, called expecting a 7 day wait.. Got right in. They gave me a ride home saving the cost of a cab/Uber, fixed it same day. I needed some scheduled maintenance as well, so ended up getting new front brakes, rear suspension, and oil/fluid change.

I didnt do any price comparison aside from what I read on the internet - which basically said prices vary, I just wanted to get it over with. They charged $100 for labor, $100 for the rotor, and $50 for the brakes (after a 50% discount). I needed new front brakes and they gave me a quick estimate and fixed it immediately and quickly. While they did suggest adjusting my back brakes too while I was there, they didnt insist or try to convince me it was necessary

I was traveling in the Vernon Hills area and had an issue with my vehicle. I thought it was the transmission, so I took it in to the Mieneke in Mundelein. They were able to diagnose the issue right away and let me know it was a much less expensive fix that what I had suspected.Rob was very efficient, he worked his parts supplier for the best part price, and had me out of there in 2 hours total. Id go here again.

When Rob was at this store everything was very good. Now that Rob is not atMeineke they have gone down hill on service. A week ago they wanted 350.00to fix my heater. Took it to another repair shop and paid 100.00. What they diagnosedwas not the problem. Just this week made an oil change appointment for Saturday and when I got there they told me it will be 2 hours. I went to Pro Lube and was out in 20 minutes. After 3 years of giving them my business Im never going back.Stay Away or dont gripe when they overcharge you!

Fantastic experience. One of the downsides of moving to this area was having to leave my trusted mechanic, but Ive found a worthy replacement. When I heard some squealing from my brakes, I called around for a same-day appointment. Places either wouldnt take an appointment or couldnt fit me in after work, meaning Id have to have repairs done over multiple days. (One even said that just the inspection alone would take a full 60 minutes.)Tianna at Meineke fit me in immediately and made sure that not just the inspection but the replacement of ALL my brake pads and rotors were done in no time, plus an oil change. The team went all out to make sure everything was done quickly and was done well, all between me getting out of work and them closing for the night.As another plus, the office is stocked with all kinds of magazines. Its nice to see a repair shop that puts out more than just a few Car & Driver and Golf Magazine issues. And Tianna is excellent company if you choose to wait for the repairs.I cant sing this place enough praises. From conveniences like booking appointments online to loaner cars to fair pricing, this place is really amazing. I was never talked down to, everything was explained 100 percent.I do my best to take care of my car so it can run safely as long as possible, and its clear that the team here takes pride in their work and that my car is in good hands.

These guys are amazing honest professionals. I requested a quote for my vehicle because I went on a deployment and my car was sitting for months, but for 2 years I didnt really do maintenance. So i got a quoted for brakes rotors and an oil change. Around the ball park of 700 minus military discount and then once they lifted my car and inspected it they gave me alternatives because they realized I had alot of brakes still left. They said it would save me money to keep the brakes. There was rust on the rotors so the front desk personnel mention they can get the rust off and save the rotor cause it was in good shape. So by the end Of the day they took car of all my needs and because they were honest mechanics I walked out and only paid for labor and an oil change with rotors cleaned $198. Service like this is hard to find they earned a customer for life. Thanks Benny and the rest of the employees.

My truck had problems passing the emissions test. I had my regular work on it several times but always failure. Meineke in Mundelien not got the job done in one try but also gave great service. My hats off to Dave and jis great staff.

They were fantastic here. I went in for a free brake inspection, and I decided to have the front brakes done. There was an unexpected cost in that my master cylinder broke. They gave me a car so I wasnt stuck at the shop, and they cut the labor costs to put the new part in. In the end, I was having financial problems for paying, and they gave me a great discount and coupon for a future free oil change.

Absolute worst customer service this side of Comcast. They refused to honor their own promotions!!! I had enough rewards points (thanks to the horrible service at the now-closed Lake Villa location who needed three tries to fix a steering problem) for a free synthetic oil change. The Mundelein location would not do the oil change for free but instead tried to cut me a deal for only $49.95. Avoid these ripoff clowns like the plague. Dont EVER waste your time & money at ANY Meineke anywhere.

Ive visited this shop twice now, and have been impressed both times.The first time they recharged my A/C for a very low price (as posted on the sign out front). They were very efficient, and my A/C blew cold for about a month. Turns out I had a big leak on one of the hoses...When I returned to the shop to talk about replacing the hose (I had brought a replacement from OEM) and getting it re-charged, the worker warned me it could be any number of other problems as well. That the best course of action was to investigate entirely the source of the leak and be sure that the system was air tight prior to re-filling. He talked with me about the possible alternate sources of the leak, and his experience with leaky Subaru A/C systems, and after half an hour I left with more knowledge of the system at no cost. They didnt try to sell me on anything, but they were incredibly friendly and helpful.I dont often visit mechanics (tires / alignment / A/C is usually it) but I would come back to these guys in the future.
