Excellent job. The staff patched the tire within 15 minutes. Before that, the other shop told me that the tire couldnt be patched. They recommended me to get the new tire. So I tried Mundelein Tire, and I am happy with their service and honesty.

I recently moved to the area and was looking for a new shop to replace the one I’d frequented for the previous 15 years or so. Other reviews suggested Mundelein Tire and Auto could be that place.It was very easy to schedule an appointment over the phone and didn’t have any issues even though I arrived a little earlier. While waiting for service on my car to be completed I noticed that the handful of people who came in greeted who I assumed was the owner by name (and also knew theirs). It was a cordiality I don’t often associate with auto shops and suggested that more than a few long-term customers exist.The service itself was quick and reasonably priced. I was happy that there wasn’t any other “found” work or up-selling. I plan to return for future work on my cars.

I have gone to Mundelein Tire Service for a few car issues. Recently, new tires. My tire light came on after a few months. When I stopped in with questions they asked to pulled my car in to check the tires. They found one tire very low and discovered a puncture. In a short time they fixed it while I waited and more important did not charge me. They are dependable and honest, will not hesitate to take my care there for services in the future.

Awesome Customer service. Al was friendly from the time I walked in. They send you a text with a report on what is acceptable, borderline and critical. Critical included pics of the issue. Great Service, Great Quality, and Great price. Will be back if my car needs repair again.

Had them replace an oil line that is difficult to get to, they were 25% cheaper than the dealership for the same job. They also let me bring in my own parts. Nice guys!

I had a problem with my cars A/C. Brought my car to Mundelein Tire Service and they identified the problem. It was $300 less to have the work done there than at Subaru. I am a very happy customer! Will have all future work done on my car there. BTW, my A/C is working great!

I now make sure to bring mine to John at Mundelein Tire from now on.I first went to Mundelein Tire after a recommendation from my Grandmother who always brings her car here. John is very straightforward and will keep you informed.. and most importantly, he is honest.Ever since the first visit, I knew he would be my go to guy for any trouble in the future.

My engine began stalling at idle speed and the engine warning light went on. I had completed some diagnostics myself with a low cost scan tool.I could not resolve the problems myself. Thankfully Al at Mundelein Tire and Service was ready to assist. I was mot sure how serious the problem was being that my car had over 130 k miles, but I trusted Mundelein Tire and Service to be straight forward and provide an optimal solution which they did. Al and John came thru, they also noticed an additional urgent maintenance issue that made sense to address right away if I was going to keep the car in a safe running condition. In addition they had performed courtesy checks on my brakes, tires and suspension Needless to say I was extremely happy with the outcome and the pricing seemed reasonable.

Just moved to the area and needed an oil change. Called about getting same-day service for my Wrangler, they told me to bring it over in about two hours from the time I called- not bad for not making an appointment in advance. When I got there, they got right to work on it. The whole process was under 30 minutes, and the service cost much less than I was expecting even with an extra quart of oil and a special filter. Highly recommend!

Had a great experience. They are honest and very fair with their prices. They took extra time to make sure the repair recommended was the correct fix and their estimate of the repair didnt get jacked up with hidden fees at time of payment. My car brakes needed a service and as usual I was well informed on what was going on with them and also all my questions were clarified to my satisfaction. I took a chance and stopped by to see if 3 bulbs could be replaced in my Ford Ranger. After the task was completed I realized that the truck needed an oil change. Without hesitation they returned it to the bay and changed the oil. My timing was right but the fellows working got the jobs done and saved me having to return at a later date and time. I dont think there is a better automotive repair shop in Mundelein!!!

This review is long overdue. Weve taken our car to Mundelein Tire & Service for the past few months and each and every time it has been a very good experience. But I need to finally write a review because John (the owner) and his staff deserve kudos for the way they run their business. In a service industry where the customer can, and often times is, ripped off because most of us dont have a clue as to whats wrong with our cars, and can be told we need something major to be fixed and believe it, this shop I can honestly say, is the most honest and trustworthy of all the shops weve ever experienced! PERIOD. From the smallest light bulb change, to major jobs (our latest was a broken spring coil while driving & we had to be towed in), John and his mechanics assess the problem and give you the bad (or good) news with an upfront estimate before doing anything. John is a very laid-back and nice man and despite his shop being very busy with people coming and going and phones constantly ringing, hes able to keep his cool and take the time to devote his attention exclusively to you to explain everything including options. He also has a new service writer Al, who is awesome on the cool-ness factor and very customer oriented. All-in-all, BEST shop, GREAT mechanics, HONEST and TRUSTWORTHY, work done when PROMISED, and VERY VERY fair pricing!

We have been going to Mundelein Tire and Auto for 18+ years, ever since we moved to Mundelein. Finding a good shop with an incredible owner and amazing mechanics can be hard to do. This shop is the best and most HONEST shop we have ever used. Friendly, efficient, skilled; through the span of several+ cars and SUVs for our kids and ourselves, this place keeps ‘em running.

I came to John with s nebulous complaint about intermittent noise when I depressed the brake pedal. He agreed to take a look. It turns out, the rear brakes needed repair, and the noise was likely an intermittent activation of the ABS system on the left front wheel. John and his crew went the extra mile to figure out the problem and took time to explain to me what they did after the repair was completed. Very satisfied. Highly recommend his services. Candid, fair, and competent. Just what I need. Highly recommended.

John went through a process of trouble shooting the issue before proceeding with removal of upper plenum. Wonderful job on fixing the computer and ignition coils for the MKZ.We received the car back much sooner than expected. Thanks again!

Very good service. I went here to get a slow leaking tire fixed. Until today, I was only getting pushed around by businesses because no one had the time to do trivial work of fixing a leaking tire. But this place was different. The owner got his mechanic to get my car checked right away and the job was done within 15 min. I was in and out in 20 min!! Thank you for good customer service!

John is friendly, professional, and willing to work with you for accommodations. He even phoned a tow guy he knew to swing by after hours to unlock a running vehicle with the keys inside (the wifes doing) and got our wait time next to nothing. Would visit for all car maintenance needs.

Wow - so impressed. They repaired a tire leak caused by a nail puncture. I called 2 other places who were unwilling to fit me in with it being Thanksgiving week. John at Mundelein Tire made it work. The prices were unbelievable, and I waited barely 20 minutes. I will be back. Thank you!

I had my Jeeps radiator replaced several weeks ago. When settling the bill, I asked, So, standard 90-day warranty on parts? John laughed. No - two years. Price was reasonable, too -- less than I had expected for replacement of such a major part. Im coming back here. Until CarMedix moved to Waukegan, I had been going there, but I wish Id known about MT&S a long time ago.

I took my brand new car to Mundelein Tire & Service to have them swap my stock tires (and TPMS sensors) over to aftermarket wheels. They were busy, but got the work done in the time I needed. They even ran to the dealership to get the specific valve stems needed by the factory TPMS module.

Great service from a friendly and honest mechanic. We wont ever go anywhere else.
