Got great help with a headlight bulb that was loose after I visited a different companys service center and received poor service. The other company didnt clip the light back in place, so it was swinging loose and literally smoking when the tech at Grease Monkey showed it to me. I was irritable after having to deal with the same problem two days in a row, but they fixed it quickly and professionally so I could be on my way again. Would return, and worth the wait in line on a Sunday morning.

When I take my vehicles to Grease Monkey, I feel confident that their service technicians are performing only necessary services and they are doing them well. Their prices are competitive and they offer free top-offs.

Thorough service, nice guys, reasonably priced, and great communication between the crew while they examine the vehicle. Asked them if they could find a socket I dropped 5,000 miles ago and after a bit of searching they got it! Really appreciate what they did for me. Highly recommend!

Went to this location for the first time for an oil change & the wait wasn’t too bad. I wish I would’ve gotten the name of the guy who helped me out. He was super nice & nothing but professional. Definitely will go back. I also liked that it’s a drive thru so you don’t have to get out.

The have kept my car running good and I appreciate how cordial and knowledgeable they all are. I was excited to discover that they also work on brakes because that is the next service I will need. I brought my Lexus here today for an oil change. The entire team is awesome! They are honest, quick, knowledgeable, and do not try to sell you things you don’t need. I have also been having an issue with my tire loosing air, my service tech was able to find the problem right away and explain my options. Will definitely be using them for all my future oil changes and am going to start bringing my husbands car. Thanks guys for the wonderful service!

TERRIBLY POOR SERVICE.. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! BEWARE!!!I came in for an oil change. I was charged and left the facility only to find out 1 hour later that they DID NOT added oil to the car and left the car without oil and oil cap. Since we were 30 minutes away, after a call back to them, someone showed up where we were to add oil and replace the cap without offering an apology or follow up. Turns out, after oil was replaced, the car still didnt have enough oil and the light engine was now on. After another call and waiting for their mechanic to show up, we had to get the car back to the facility in Mundelein. Manager never offer an apology!!! My familys entire day was ruined because of their mistake and we could have had a completely different turn out if it wasnt for a mechanic at Walmart who told us about the problem. They did the minimum they could do to fix the situation again without offering a single apology!!! I left my phone number for the manager to call me after he didnt say anything while we were at the shop. Nothing has happened even after saying I will leave a poor review. Clearly he doesnt care!!! What a Poor service and poor management!!! Nate was the only person I could give a positive review since he was honest and was not trying to sugar coat the situation. But BEWARE of the service they offer!!! Mistake after mistake!!! My business might not mean a lot to them but as a customer, the way the entire situation was handled was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING and I can not recommend them to anyone!!!! And I can only hope that nothing else go wrong with the car because of their mistake and If something else goes wrong in the next few days, I will be calling BBB!!!

Nat did an exceptionally good job helping me with my oil change today. I asked him to please check my lights. He found that my fog lights were out because they were unplugged! No one had ever detected that when Ive asked them to check my lights in the past. He was very thorough and professional I highly recommend them.

Grease Monkey changed the oil and filter but did not do any of the other services that are supposed to be included with an oil change. Upon arrival I told them my tires were squealing lately and they said putting air in the tires is part of the service. They didnt do this and the tires squeal just as much as before. I saw them checking exterior lights, washing exterior windows, putting air in the tires, etc for the customer in front of me but they didnt do these things on my car (you sit in the car while service is being performed so its obvious when they dont wash the windows). The receipt says they did all these things and maybe they did some of them, like checking fluids and the battery, but I didnt see it.

The entire team is friendly, kind, and answers all my questions. They are not pushy, truly only recommending what is best for each car uniquely. The staff is professional and curious each time I go there! I will come to this location for anything I need! Great overall experience.

Scott was wonderful! I went in for an oil change and he was friendly and also very efficient. I knew I needed new windshield wipers and he replaced them on the spot for me as well. As I was pulling out of the garage he heard a rattling against my muffler and fixed that for me as well! I was expecting to spend so much more and be there for much longer. Overall a true 5 star experience!Thank you Scott and your team for making a mundane task painless and easy, without breaking the bank, all while providing quality customer service!

They pointed out that the previous cats that did my oil change put on two gaskets for what I dont know. But Im grateful they told me that. They gained my trust and business in the future.

This particular Greasemonkey I have been going to since I can remember living out in the area before it was a grease monkey I think it was Lube Pros and hes the same manager that was there and I think before that and he still there. He ordered special parts for me oil filters he instructs his staff in a professional manner and all of them seem knowledgeable and they do go above and beyond just changing your oil and filter. I recommend this place absolutely theres often a line during peak hours the one thing I have to tell you its a little tricky getting in so the place because the entrance on Midlothian where you can turn right in but if youre coming from the other direction and you have to turn on to Hawley you have to go out and wrap around back on to it through Midlothian but its worth it and once you do it once filled not forget but keep that in mind so you dont go past it

I trust them with my car to give me the service I need and not take advantage. They do a great job while being professional and friendly. I am particularly very impressed with Scott who I believe is the manager. He is so knowledgeable and helpful and friendly. I will keep bringing my car back there again and again.

My local Grease Monkey has ALWAYS been reliable with the same staff and the same great service. The service and quality of work has always been great. Ive never had any issues.

They are always so polite and helpful. My daughter (4 1/2) and I went and they even showed us the tire repair work they did while doing it and the oil change she really enjoyed learning from professionals.

From start to finish, great experience! Mechanic explained what I needed and he was spot on, did what they could do and told me what to do on my own (replace radiator cap) and where to find one. Will definately go back, this is the 3rd time Ive been there and always a pleasure.

Not only was the pit crew efficient, they were knowledgeable and friendly - the best service I’ve ever received getting an oil change. They cleaned the outside of all my windows and filled up my tires as well! I will be coming back here for future visits without a doubt! Highly recommend!!!

Automatic low rating though because at least 3 employees (including the cashier who came to my window, quite a bit less than 6 ft away) were not wearing masks. In 2021 this is nothing short of a health hazard. As much as I like this place I’ll be going elsewhere the next time I need an oil change.Update: I left a voicemail at the number below two days ago and haven’t heard back. Further proof of their commitment (or lack thereof) to the seriousness of this situation.Update #2: after leaving voicemails for Josh for over a month I called the shop and was told he no longer worked for Grease Monkey. Scott the shop owner was great and stated that “obviously” he insists on all the guys wearing masks when he’s there. Clearly it’s not obvious to the individuals who worked on my car last month.I’m still giving this place a hard pass at least until I’m vaccinated. Good car service isn’t worth putting my health at risk.

We have brought all of our vehicles to Grease Monkey in Mundelein. They are professional and prompt in addition to being very friendly. Whether its been an oil change, headlamp, or new windshield wipers, they provided great service. Its nice to have a place in town where you feel comfortable and would recommend to friends.

They didn’t fasten the splash guard back into place and it ripped off when I was driving home. I called them regarding this issue and whoever I spoke with (they did not provide a name) was dismissive and disrespectful when I asked about getting this repaired by my local dealer as I obviously didn’t have any faith in the services provided by this place

Ive been to the Grease Monkey in Mundelein probably about 10 times, and theyre always helpful, easy to work with, done on time, and seem honest.

The staff here are outstanding. They found an oil leak in my turbo and provided guidance on how to get it evaluated and repaired in a cost efficient manner. They evaluate quite a bit during an oil change and provide great advice for corrective actions as needed. Tremendous value!

Love that I can stay in my car. Easy in and out. Place to go before you hit the road as they check fluids, tire pressure wipers and lights so you head out safely. Convenience and caring staff is worth the price

Always a great and easy experience! I was very impressed with the precautions taken to promote social distancing and the spread of germs at my last visit - I was able to remain in my vehicle, all employees wore masks, and I saw at least one employee cleaning at all times. The gentleman that took my card even grabbed by card with a towel, wiped it down with a clean towel after he ran it and wiped the pen and clipboard I used to sign before he gave it to me. Additionally, I always feel the employees are friendly and honest. I never feel I was talked into buying something I didn’t need. I highly recommend this business!

When I couldnt fix the problem myself, I came in today and the blonde hair guy, wish I knew his name, helped me out. I am greatly appreciated for it. He doesnt know how much help he had given me. Ive been taking my cars to the Mundelein IL location for years. The employees at this location are all so helpful. They always help me with available coupons and discounts. They let me know whether or not an issue can wait until my next visit. I am usually afraid of being taken advantage of by workers in this industry...but not here. Today I went in because my headlight bulb was out. They were out, expecting more later today, but told me that if I ran to the auto supply store and bought one, they would pop it in for me at no charge. They are always this helpful. It must be a great place to work, because the workers always seem helpful and friendly. Love this place!

Even amidst the virus crisis the team is there to help. I came in for an oil change, but left with a warning to keep an eye on my battery. Im not driving much, so the battery had not been charged much. Scott leads a great crew that cares about their customers. Thank you!
