I have had storage units twice with Storage Depot, both times about 3 years. Never had any problems with them and their prices are reasonably affordable. Also the property is very well taken care of. Would recommend!

Ryan was both pleasant and professional in helping me procure a storage unit. I had to call him back with questions about filling out and e-signing a document online and again, he was very patient and helpful. I think Ryan is a real asset to your company.

The guy who helped us reserve our storage spots was awesome! He was very thorough and explained how it all worked and the lease agreement really well. He walked us out and showed us the property and our spots we rented. Very nice and makes us feel a lot better about parking our stuff here. You can’t beat the prices and the overall great customer service!

Security, clean .office person are very nice.

The manager onsite is a little nosey and kind of rude. It shouldnt matter how long you are at your unit. You are paying the bill and you dont come or leave beyond opening hours.

My pops said it a good place and they dont raise the storage fee every month and it local. Bonus you can use their truck for free to move. Cant beat that.

Staff is rude and nosey

Clean storage units... whats to complain about? Locked yard, buy your own lock, auto billed monthly. You get an access code to get into the yard during certain hours.

We moved things into the storage unit. When we checked a few weeks later, everything had been stolen. Apparently they only keep the video for a week so we have no way of catching the thief. Why would anyone put their property into a storage unit that is not secure. We thought the price was reasonable until we include the thousands of dollars we lost in the theft.

They always have availability and Ryan the day manager goes the extra mile to make it safe and easy to store your belongings. THANKS Storage Depot

I feel like Ive been treated fairly. Ok pricing, especially with the deal I took advantage of when I first started renting. Descent units, size options, and security. Knowledgable and informative management. Units are open to tenants early in the morning and late in the night as well, and accessible on holidays too. Also Id venture to say theres a friendly window for late payment. Due on the 1st of the month, if not paid, gate code is disabled and access is prevented on the 6th I believe, and a $10 late fee isnt charged until the 11th, and then a $15 fee on the 17th. Not sure if the $10 fee turns into a $15 fee, or if the $15 is added to the $10, ending in a $25 total. Very close to where I live, and thats sweet. Been renting here for quite a while, and have had no issues. The key pad used for leaving through the eastern gate is in a weird spot, weird enough Im probably not the only one that thinks it should be relocated lol

The on site manager was very friendly and efficient. He helped us out in a time pinch when they were close to closing. We would have been out of luck had he not stayed 10-15 after they closed. The facility is nice. Units are average priced but a little more than I would have liked to pay. Thank you for your great customer service.

Nice clean units. They have lights and enough space to movea long bed truck and trailer around without issue. Affordable month to month payment options for good size units.

Had to get a storage unit after hours on a Sunday. Manager was amazing and met us on site to let us get all set up. He didnt make us feel rushed at all. Great customer service. Clean & safe facility and great prices!! Thank you!

The staff is excellent and helped me through the process of determining what I needed. Seems to be a very secure location and security cameras everywhere. Onsite manager and assistant manager gives some real piece of mind.

Really bad rodent problem and extremely poor customer service! Helped my daughter and son-in-law move out. After having their belongings in storage for only a few months, everything was covered in rodent droppings and urine, with many items chewed and destroyed. Their mattress and box springs and many other personal items had to be tossed! I took a plastic tote into the office to show them the extent of the infestation. The employee said that they were responsible for rodent control. He asked that I remove the tote box from the office because it was disgusting, and I agreed that it was disgusting, but you should look at all their belongings and I asked him if we could see a copy of the contract just to check the fine print. He said, the contract was emailed to you and again asked if I would remove the tote box. I did place it outside, but after again asking if we could see the contract, he said that I had to leave as I was not a lessee on the contract. I told him that I was the father and just wanted to make sure that they were being taken care of. He said that he was going to call the police (which he did, even though I left the office - the cop and I have a good chuckle of this kid!) Bottom line, the contract clearly stated that they were not responsible for rodent damage, which is completely understandable. This review is not to complain about the contract, that is very standard storage unit language. I was simply floored at the poor customer service and lack of any compassion on Storage Depot. Do NOT use this place if you have any concern for your personal belongings! The do NOT do any rodent control - there is no evidence of rodent traps or bait stations anywhere on their premises.

This place is awesome. Free truck rental when we moved in. Probably saved me $80. You have to put a $50 deposit down but you get it back when you turn it in.

Ive been storing with Storage Depot for the last 3 years and its been great! The location is easy and convenient, units are decent size, pricing is fair, and management has always been very nice and helpful!

The personnel from the actual site are great but didnt like the fact that i called headquaters to inquire about the space for the lanes in the storage. I was told there was enough space when there wasnt. I would have gotten stuck w the towing dolly if i didnt unhitched it.

Let me just say that the guy working the office is way helpful and very cool. Im sure hes just doing his job based on the owners policies. Whoever that is. With that said.....Excuses! There hasnt been decent lighting for just about the entire year. Maybe if there had been, mine and other units near me may have not gotten broken into and robbed a couple months ago. Keep in mind, if you rent there and your unit gets robbed. Next to nothing gets done about it except the new free lock they offer. Anyway Im out.

I used storage depot four years ago, before total storage solutions took over. I liked them then, but not now.The employees are very nice, this however does not make up for total storage solutions horriblely unfriendly policies, which skate along a thin line of legality. Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. Im looking at you total storage solutions.My reasons for two stars are as such.1 star rating:The unit was rented to me with a large hole in the door. That was repaired, except for a smaller one which let in a large amount of dust, and bugs.The gate was broken and left open for days.I moved out 12/20/2016, and called today to close my account. While I dont blame any of the on-site employees, my understanding of the cancellation policy was different. Because I did not cancel prior to December 15, I am now responsible for the entire month of January. I will not have access to my unit, and it will be available for someone else to rent and pay for. Meaning, storage depot and total storage solutions will be paid twice for the same unit.While the employee i talked to was kind and professional, i could tell he has been yelled at over this policy many, many times. This speaks to the volume of people who have had this same problem, and how unethical the policy is.Second star rating:The employees were kind, helpful and professional. That is the only reason for the second star.I highly recommend you look elsewhere. They have a free truck, but going somewhere else and paying for your own truck pales in comparison with having to pay for a product you cant use.

The worst storage place i have ever seen!!Too many complaints to list them all but dont waste your money and time!!

[updated 3 years after original post]One of the worst customer service experiences of my life! Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. My husband and I recently moved to San Diego and had to store most of our belongings in the storage unit here. They had a TERRIBLE rodent issue! We had mice tear up our mattress, rugs, clothes, shoes, and personal belongings. When we moved out, three mice ran out of our storage unit. In an effort to keep some of our sentimental belongings, we kept a few boxes with us when we moved to San Diego. When we started to unpack, we found AN ENTIRE NEST OF LIVE BABY MICE in a box!!! To top it off, the owner would not work with us whatsoever. He made us clean the mice poop out of the storage unit AND charged us an additional half months rent because he claimed he didnt know we were moving out (even though we clearly verbally communicated it to him). We lost over $1,000 worth of items due to their rodent infestation. I would STRONGLY recommend looking elsewhere for your storage needs. At the very least, get some type of proof from them that they have taken care of their rodent problem.Adding to this review 3 years later to mention that I still look back on my experience with this storage unit as one of the worst, most traumatizing moments of my life. I lost personal items including letters from my husband, old family photos, yearbooks, and photo albums. The owner felt absolutely no sympathy for us and was incredibly antagonistic. If you, like me, value the keepsakes that remind you of the people you’ve lost; if you see pieces of those you love in the items they leave behind; and if you believe in the good of other people to keep those pieces of your life whole - DO NOT TRUST THIS STORAGE FACILITY. It is one of the biggest regrets I have.

We had an excellent experience. The management was very kind and understanding and we got the space we needed for a great price.

Help keep your household material safe

Been with the storage for about 11 years and three owners. Never had a problem. However since the new ownership, though the manager is nice, it feels like the storage center is lacking.... its just a money maker for someone corporation whos not really invested in it, unlike the prior owners who were individuals who lived on site. This reflects in the lack of security we now see there, and my unit having been broken into. In fact the surveillance is so lack they estimated to could have been standing open for weeks until they noticed. They did give me a free second lock...... but that does not resolve the security issue on the site and the fact the whole place just feels run down and neglected.
