Brought in my car for a transmission fluid change. Within 5 minutes of being there, the mechanic couldnt get my car started, even though I have never had that issue and had literally just drove there. A few minutes later, they have it started on the fluid change. After an hour, they pull the car to the front, but cant get the window on the passenger side to roll up, once again, never have had this issue before. The manager then acted like I should just accept the window in its current state, until I complained, to which he said, well, its not and Audi or BMW.... So because I have an older Honda, its not worth your time to fix the issues your mechanics created? Totally unprofessional! About 30-40 minutes later, they drive the car back up, and inform me that the window is now up. I asked, does it work?, to which he replied, Its up and we wont test it. So, you break the window, act like i should accept it, and then dont fix or take ownership of the issue they created. Waiting to hear back from HQ how they are going to resolve this issue.

They always take good care of me. They are the only people that I would trust to put in a new engine.

They have recently installed new brakes and did an oil change in conjunction with fixing a heater hose issue. Although I didnt have full work done here, I brought my car in when I thought something was definitely wrong with the engine (2013 Sonata). The engine ended up being blown due to a manufacturer defect and was covered on warranty. Instead of charging me to go through a full inspection, they quickly looked at it, ran the VIN, found there was a recall, and advised me to take it to the dealership to get it handled for free there. I appreciated the honesty of a shop that will do something like that.

My experience with Merlin has been awful. Over the summer last year, my car broke down in Naperville which was why I had my car serviced there (even though I live in the city). They made the car driveable and that was good enough for me. Fast forward to January this year, when I started having problems again so I went back to them. Big mistake! I made over 3 trips back and forth from Chicago to Naperville, because each time I went, it wasnt ready or didnt work properly. I was told they test drove it after repairing it each time, which I find hard to believe, because I drove it for less than a minute (all three times) and knew something was wrong. What made it worse was that they kept feeding me lies and seemed unapologetic. They left the exterior of my car filthy and smeared with grease - and didnt even take the time to clean it. I spent nearly two thousand dollars and wasted way too much time there. I will NOT be going back and would not recommend them - or at least take caution if you have to take it there.It would have been 1 star, except the owner was responsive and accommodating (most of the time).

I had a last minute emergency as I noticed a dragging sound on the bottom of my car. I called them up and they welcomed my situation with open arms. Within 20 minutes they had fixed my problem. They were extremely supportive and generous with their expertise and skill. If more shops did business like these guys the world would be in good shape! Thanks again for your kindness !

Scammers and thieves! Avoid at all costs!!! Will take advantage of women and claim they changed parts without actually changing them. Will be filing a claim with better business bureau. They refused to give me parts they claimed they changed and replaced because they said it was against their policy!!! They never changed any parts. WHAT A JOKE. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! LIARS!!

I brought in my Corvette to install a device that allows me to avoid the 1st to 4th gear shift program for shifting at low speeds. Good News is I was quoted one price but was pleased (and amazed) to find that they were able to do it in less time.... so they reduced my bill !!! Imagine that!I then brought in my Jeep, which has 66,000 miles, for brakes. I was prepared to buy brakes for both axles but was told that only the fronts required replacement. There is a lot to be said for a firm that only repairs what you really need. While the Jeep was in for inspection, they found two small interior cabin filters that were nearly completely non functional with dirt. In the past Ive brought the Jeep to the Jeep dealer and other places for routine maintenance but no one ever brought this to my attention before. I saw the filthy filters and was told that not changing them could have resulted in a very expensive repair bill so I gladly agreed to pay for their replacement. Theyve earned my business from now on. I trust these guys and am pleased with their pricing and service.

I highly recommend Merlins of Naperville to everyone. This winter I purchased an older vehicle. It turned out to have been an unwise purchase. Everyone at Merlins went out of their way to basically rebuild the car as quickly as possible and for good prices. I am very happy with their level of knowledge and service.

I had a really good experience here. Took my 2004 Audi to have my middle muffler replaced. Without an appointment, they ordered the part in that morning and finished my car by the end of the day. Dina was able to give me a ride to work while the job was being done, and I think Ron and the others did some good work.There was a little exhaust pipe installation mix-up, but they fit me in and got it fixed right away after I noticed the problem. And they gave me a gift certificate in return for my troubles.Friendly and respectable customer interactions. They fit me in and finished the work when they said they would. I think the pricing was very reasonable, and they didnt try to push any extra service on me.This will be the first place I call next time I need work done.

Today I went to Merlin 200000 for oil change. The store is located at 920 E. Ogden Avenue, Naperville, IL. The owner Ron told me my car had oil leak and showed that to me. It was unbelievable to me that I saw oil drips everywhere. To fix that they needed to replace the oil pan gasket, and I had to pay $172. I told Ron my car had no leakage at all before I came to the store and my garage floor was clean and no sign of oil leak. I asked them to clean the oil from the oil tank and do not replace the oil pan gasket. The big problem now is, after the oil change, my car possibly has real oil leak. After I got home at night (10 hours after oil change) and parked my car in the garage, an hour and half late, we found there was a fresh oil spot on the garage floor.The other problem is that after the oil change, maintenance alarm showed up from time to time.Avoid this garage if you don’t want your car getting into problems that would be deliberately created.

One star is too many for this place. Lets run down all the ways they offered questionable suggestions:1.) They suggested I get new tires, when I just got all new tires 5 months ago.2.) Said I could not get my tires aligned, and followed that up with a bill for $3,000 to fix all theproblems, which included work they had done just three months ago. When I took my car to two other mechanics, literally none of the same services were suggested by those shops.3.) Three months ago they suggested that I had an oil leak. Magically when I returned this time, the oil was no longer leaking.In sum, do not go to this place. They are a shady company.Also, check out their reviews on yelp.

I serviced my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee here several times, and they did a great job. I cant speak for the price since I wasnt the one footing the bill, but they always made sure I was satisfied with their work. They even took me out for a test drive a week later after I told them I still noticed shuddering in my steering wheel during high speeds. Dina is a sweetheart and hilarious to boot (she told me once she used to do standup.. I can see it) and she was always able to give me a ride when requested. I never really dealt much with the owner Ron, as it was usually Andy who handled the servicing on my Jeep. He is very straight forward, patient and detailed when going over estimates. My car was always done when promised, and Im pretty sure they even squeezed me in once on a busy day when they very well could have told me no. I dont disagree that they try to sell you on some things you probably dont need but lets be honest, are you ever really going to find a franchise car shop that wont?

Very helpful when I walked in asking for them to check my truck out after it stalled twice. Accommodating, polite and fast.
