The class was very good. It was informal, a friendly atmosphere, questions were welcomed and the students varied from very experienced with guns to never having held a gun. Ages were from 21 to 69. Dennis, the NRA certified instructor was very professional, serious in his teaching and relaxed in his method. I heartily recommend the class for all levels of experience.

The class was very well organized and informative. The level of knowledge of the participants varied, but the class was designed in such a way that no one was left behind. Dave, the instructor, was very accommodating and patient. I would recommend this class to anyone wanting to enhance their knowledge of weapons and the law. Safety was paramount throughout the instruction.

Our NRA Licensed instructor, Dave Rich at Naples Gun Shop and School, did an excellent job explaining the process, methods and rules that must be understood to safely carry a concealed weapon. The information he provided is critical to carrying safely and responsibly. The class was complete, instructive and even entertaining. The store is clean, the owner knowledgeable and the prices are fair. The store is busy all the time so the owner has not much time to invest on explaining thing to newbies like myself.The location is ideal for me. I took the Basic Pistol/Concl.Lic Group Class at this location. The instructor made the class engaging and I learned quite a bit. I am not experienced with a gun but felt that the class provided me with the tools to better understand the laws as well as the handling of a weapon. I would recommend this class to beginners as well as those experienced. Everyone at the gun shop was great.

Awesome awesome awesome gun one stop shop. Dennis did an awesome job with CWP Basic Safety class. He was very straightforward about information. He did a great job at keeping everyone engaged. And was EXTREMELY patient with some of the newbs. A lot more patience than I had just spectating. Very knowledgeable. David was also extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Outstanding basic gun safety course at NGS, counts toward getting your CCW license. The emphasis is on gun safety and being a responsible owner. Dennis is a great instructor and lays out all the relevant facts. Highly recommended and a great value.

I took the class and it was very interesting I learned a lot of different things about the laws for the state of Fla. The instructor did a great job explaining the proper way to use a firearm . Ladies don’t feel intimidated it was a very friendly atmosphere . Great learning experience!

I took the class on 3/10/18 and I was truly impressed, David and his wife are exceptional people. David has lots of knowledge and many years of knowledge and you can tell with his class. He covered from A-Z in his class and it made the time go by quickly. If anyone is looking for a class search no more this is it. If your looking to buy a weapon he is the man to go to. I am an attorney from New York and currently residing in Florida. I have no experience with guns and never thought of owning one. Nevertheless, I wanted to understand gun culture and gun issues in Florida especially now that I am a permanent Florida resident. David Richs class was extremely informative and David clearly demonstrated not only his knowledge of guns and gun safety but more importantly for me, he provided the legal framework and ramifications and responsibilities of gun use and ownership. Overall, the class was thoroughly worthwhile and enjoyable.

I am very pleased with the class that I took at Naples Gun Shop for my concealed weapon license. I feel that every aspect regarding responsible gun handling was covered. All equipment that was needed to qualify was provided including forms for licensure. David and his wife were wonderful and I would recommend this class and the store for shopping.

Very informative class with hands-on instructions on the proper handling of various types of hand guns. David Richs experience in law enforce was illuminating as well as entertaining when relating various aspects of gun ownership as well as the responsibilities said ownership carries with it. I recommend this glass for anyone interested in their rights, and the responsibilities that come with ownership of a hand gun.

Very knowledgeable and fun

Dave was very professional. It was a interesting class and we got a surprise in how well we did on at the shooting range, this could only happen after Daves great tips on how to hit the target.I feel we all have a better understanding in the safety and the function of a firearm.

The class was engaging and as fast paced as it can be. The instructor was knowledgeable and worked well with a class spanning all the levels of experience and age you can imagine. I also felt it was fairly priced, especially as you just had to bring yourself and an ID - all other supplies were, er, supplied.

My husband and I took this course which was very well presented in a professional manner. The time passed very quickly but we were never bored. Dave took the time to make sure each class member had an opportunity to work with different guns loading, locking, unloading, clearing jams, etc. Well worth the money. After class we went to a firing range to practice our skills. I hit the target all five times! We would recommend this course without reservation. BTW we did check out the other CCW classes offered in the area and thought this was the most thorough and reasonable priced. I will say the police department offers instruction for free but it takes two days to complete and about 3 more hours.

The concealed weapons course was very informative and professional. The instructor was very patient, especially with the hands on portions of the class with those of us who had never held a gun. I definitely recommend their classes.

I had an amazing experience in the CCW class that David teaches! This class was so informative and interesting. The way David presented everything made it extremely fun and easy to retain. The size of the class was 12 people, so we all got one on one training and I feel it was the perfect size of class. I learned so many important things that I never would have even thought about without this class. Ginny was also so wonderful, and so supportive when I was nervous. I had so many questions that were answered, and the amount of knowledge Ginny and Davis shared with the class was astounding. I feel very confident now about gun safety and self defense and I would highly recommend this class!! David and Ginny know their stuff!!

This was a very good class. I did not have to take it, as I am a Veteran, however it is a good idea. I learned a lot about Florida Law I did not know. It will in the long run help keep you out of trouble. David was very patient with my wife when we live fired, because she has arthritis and had a hard time pulling the trigger in double action mode. This is a neat facility. The store/classroom is nicely set up. They have a great variety of firearms and other perks and great value deals.The trainer/owner and his wife are kind and knowledgeable but it was a disturbing experience. This is an NRA propaganda center. I did not pay the Gun Safety Handling course to be indoctrinated and lectured on who to vote for. The trainer took the stage to bash Democratic Senators and Representatives, spreading the lies of the alt-right that the Democrats are coming to confiscate the peoples firearms. I was Shocked to see the Nazi flag displayed in one of the store display counters, having a German pistol in exhibition seems a poor excuse to display a symbol of Hate. Lets not forget the WE THE PEOPLE means everyone despite political affiliation. And everyone has the right to bear arms, lets also point out the the Second Amendment starts by A Well Regulated... We Democrats are more Second Amendment people than the NRA. NRA is a business which only cares about selling weapons without control or accountability.This place is a branch of the NRA.

I used Naples Gun School as a FFL for my recent gun purchase and it worked out great...Dave is very knowledgeable and totally professional, made it a breeze to receive my gun.

Best place to take your CWP class, friendly, he aswer all your question but most important he teach real life experience, curse take around 6 hours but you dont even notice it, I really recommend this place to any one that wants to get the Concealed Weapon Permit.

David is a knowledgeable instructor with a lot of first hand, real life experience. You won’t find a better class in Naples.
