Needed a new transmission they guys were fast, fair, friendly and even recommended a great hotel in the area and a restaurant to have dinner. We were stuck there a few days so the tips made us feel more at home. And that Nashville Hot at Edleys was to die for. (Keeps awesome records as well, needed them for taxes) ;) Thanks guys you went above and beyond!!

Brad and his guys did a good job. Very busy place. Seems they need a larger shop to accommodate the business. Far better than Stewart Transmission in Franklin who really just dont car about older cars. Simply be patient as they have a good problem of being very busy.

Took a while to get looked. But Brad is very helpful. And does a good job explaining what was happening and why.

Ive had my transmission replaced by AAMCO as well as my steering column repaired, and both times they didnt disappoint. Brad has a very nice and professional voice over the phone. When I first dealt with this company I thought they were going to try and over charge me because I was a woman, but they quickly put my mind at ease. They didnt try to charge me for things I didnt need, they took care of my car quickly, and I thank all of them for that! They have a customer as long as I have a car!

I was getting a P2757, Torque Converter Solenoid off indication. They recommended fluid/filter change. I picked up my vehicle and after driving less than a mile the light came back on. Dag, $400.00 for nothing. I called shop to report this, and asked CSR. to Persue claim with Extended Warranty contract. When I got home, I in turn contacted the Extended Warranty provider, and was told no claim had been filed. I once again contacted the Aamco CSR,. When confirmed that they hadnt made the claim, but would. Now some 20 hrs. Later I receive this survey request, which is quite unfair as my issues have not been resolved yet

Honest people!Brad was extremely professional and honest with me. I had a problem in my transmission he diagnosed the problem for free, and gave me an estimate cost for replacing the transmission before doing anything.

Brought in a friends Jaguar because it was having a hard time shifting. I suspected the transmission fluid was low but on this model there is no dipstick and I couldnt figure out how to check it. AAMCO gave me an estimate for $3500 to repair the car. We said no and returned home and figured out how to check the fluid level in the trans. It was over a quart low. So once we topped off the fluid it is shifting like brand new again.AAMCO was asked to check the fluid level and they said they did. However they never mentioned it being low. So that means they were about to rip my friend off for $3500 to add a quart and a half of fluid to the trans? Wow! Scam artists. Stay far away from this AAMCO!

I cant say enough about the team at this AAMCO location. There was a little smoke and the smell of hot oil coming from my car. I thought it was the transmission so I dropped it off to have them look at it. It turned out not to be the transmission at all. They called me and explained what was happening and let me know I could pick up my car. I asked how much I owed them and they told me “A Smile”. WOW!! How often do you hear that? They are AMAZING.

Youll lose. I did.Aside from rebuilding my transmission to save himself money (not me) when we had no miscommunication i wanted it replaced with a factory remanufactured unit (yeah hes got some nerve hats off) they had an accident in the parking lot so now my front bumper is damaged

Was having severe transmission problems with my car. Thought it would be totaled. They inspected it and gave me a estimate for the repair. The car had too many mile to be worth spending the money fixing but they didnt even charge for the inspection.

Brad is a pretty straight shooter. I took my car in for a new transmission, but they diagnosed a couple other safety issues that needed to be addressed. They were costly repairs, but my car is running much better and quieter than before. Brad did his best to work with me and was sensitive to my anxiety about having to spend so much money. I would recommend this shop.

Being 19 year old girl not from Tennessee, I was cautious in finding a place to bring my car to. I came to this AAMCO because someone I know from home owns an AAMCO and I thought they would be trustworthy like his business is. I came in for an oil change, a new break light, and to check out a noise my car was making. I told them to call me before doing ANY work to confirm with me and they didnt. The noise ended up being something small and I was not charged because it was an easy fix. My bill still came out to $171, just for the oil change and the break light (I provided the light). After looking at my bill I saw that I was charged $55 for putting the break light in and $90 for my oil change. They put synthetic oil in my car without even asking me at all. My car is a 2011 Nissan Versa and if youre gonna guess at the type of oil to put in it, its definitely not synthetic. I had to call the shop multiple separate times to get updates on my car and every time Brad said he would call me right back, he never did. The woman behind the counter was extremely nice and helpful. I really cant help but feel like I was taken advantage of, which is the exact thing I was afraid of. Disappointed

I’m brand new to Nashville, I don’t really know a lot of people so when I started having issues with my car I didn’t know who to turn to. My dad suggested finding an aamco near by and I’m so glad I found this location!From the moment I got there Sloane, was welcoming, kind, and so understanding. She took notes, asked questions, tried to get everything she could so that they could find and fix what was wrong. She even went whether and gave me a ride home and arranged a ride back to the shop to pick up my car.They were quick, reliable, trustworthy, and so kind. They made sure I understood what was going on and made a plan to make sure that everything was fixed. So I’ll see them again in a week to be sure that everything is still ok with my radiator and transmission!I truly can’t thank them enough!!

Very costly and what you get against the cost is not absolutely worth of it. i chose them for fixing transmission and there were couple of things got damaged during the work but shop manager completely denied and said dont call me further. the way they treat customer is just way unprofessional and dont care about customer. After a month I also found they did not put flash/ mud guard on bottom. I saw that when I was changing the oil. It is absolutely worthless and top of that they don’t take accountability. No one is responsible

I have had AAMCO work on my vehicle a couple of times. They are incredibly professional and the quality of work is outstanding! As far as value is concerned, were talking about replacing a transmission, its not cheap no matter where you take it.

The AAMCO Team did a nice job of assessing a transmission leak, talking me through the options and avoiding the costliest potential outcome. The job did take 1 day longer than estimated which was inconvenient and the cost was 23% higher than another quote from a trusted mechanic who was located in another city. All in all, I was pleased with the service and especially appreciated the efforts of Jonathon Camarena.

Had others shops tell me i needed a new transmission, but wanted to get one more opinion. They were able to find that my wheel hub and bearing were bad and not my transmission. Saved me thousands of dollars.

Outstanding customer service!I had my catylitic converters replaced about a month ago. It was a costly repair and I really appreciate them giving me the day or two I needed to think it over while it sat on their lot. After I gave the go-ahead they finished the repair ahead of schedule and the car runs like a racehorse now.

These guys are amazing! I had to bring in my vehicle shortly after the warranty on the transmission expired. These guys did a great job on my 2006 Pilot. They did a major transmission repair 6 months ago and fixed my A/C two weeks ago. Keith and Joe were great to work with and did a good job explaining what was wrong and exactly what it took to fix it. Trustworthy group of guys I would recommend.

We could not have asked for a better place to bring our car when we had troubles on our cross country road trip. Being from out of state, its difficult to know which place is trustworthy but Keith and the guys went above and beyond, fixing our transmission (and the A/C) faster than we thought possible so we werent delayed any longer than necessary. All I can say is I want to become a transmission repairman.Seriously though, its never a good thing when you need to visit one of these places. 400-500? yeah, right.. consider yourself lucky if you pay $2k.Being said, what you can expect are true experts here. They are looking to take care of you and do the right thing. I brought in a Tacoma with 220k miles on it. I did my homework and was expecting $4-$5k. They did a thoral analysis and final bill came to 1/2 of this. Once analyzed, they gave me several options and solid details along the way.What you wont get is speed. These guys work 8 -5. They set up their work for the next week and get it done. You may have to call them a couple of times as I found they werent very good at calling you back (except when its time to pay). If you require a full re-build, expect to have it done by the middle to end of the next week.But overall, what Im saying, is they are excellent at what they do. Their work demands a high price, and that they will get. They dont need your business, so I feel confident they are not their to rip you off. They will do the right thing.

The guys at Aamco were very polite and knowledgeable. They took care of me quickly, diagnosed the problem accurately, and even offered to take me where I wanted to go so I wouldnt have to sit in the shop for hours while they worked on my car. Really happy with the service I got at this AAMCO. My transmission had been slipping, so I took it to another shop, the guy gave it a look and said nothing was wrong with it. Well, it just kept getting worse so I came here. Aaron was great, he made me feel pretty good about leaving my car in their hands and he drove me to the rental car place so I could get going. That was huge, since there was no one who could have picked me up. When I picked up the car I dealt with Brad and I was really impressed with the way he explained everything to me. The car is running great, strong acceleration and no more rough running when I idle in killer Nashville traffic.I felt really taken care of, and as others have mentioned, as a woman who moved from out of town without much in the way of resources, getting ripped off or taken advantage of was a huge worry for me. I really couldnt recommend these guys highly enough.

We had a problem while rolling through town on the way south. Got towed here, and then spent the next week trying to work things out over the phone. They were very uncooperative. We bought our own part, because we could get it much cheaper than they were quoting us, and because of that they told us to take our business else where. I dont know if they were having a bad day, since all the rest of the reviews on here are good, but I didnt have a good experience with them at all.

Why I ever went to Firestone is beyond me. Owner was incredibly gracious and loved doing his job. Hopefully I wont have to see them too often, but when I do, I am coming here.

These people are not consistent with their work and Customer service is terrible I left them with all the information to contact the warranty department to get my vehicle fixed phone numbers and names of people to contact and they have still not yet reached out to anyone instead they just parked my car in the gate and left it there. Then when I went to pick my vehicle up my doors were unlocked. Will be reporting to the BBB .

Rarely write reviews and certainly never say this about mechanics... but AAMCO was a DREAM to work with. Made the best of a bad transmission situation.

I had my transmission worked.on in 2011 they told me it would cost me between $ 450-750 it was really surprising when they was finished it was $2000 i will never carry my car back to them again . and it took so long to post this but i have been thinking about it for a long time . just dont depend on what they tell you its going cost .its alot more . between $750and $2000 . I think they riped me off $2000 .i had to sell thr car was never right.

Avoid this place!!!!! They will rip you off, start by telling you 1 price then fix your car and a completely different price! Also very slow service! For the prices and time you have to wait you will be better of going to a car dealership!!!!!

Visiting from out of town. Had an issue with my transmission, showed up on a Saturday morning, Aaron was very helpful he called another AAMCO facility that he said had a lot of knowledge with the transmission I had. Needless to say I was on the road within an hour and the problem was fixed. Thanks

My engine light went on in my 2010 Acura MDX and also a check transmission light came on. My car was not driving normally so I knew I needed to take it in ASAP. I started looking at reviews of transmission shops online and came across AAMCO. (Because of the high reviews I choose them.) I brought my car in and within a few hours got a call about the problem. They ordered the part and it was fixed 24 hours later. They quoted me a price of $200-265. But the bill ended up being $188 with tax! When has the bill ever come in under what quoted? I highly recommend this shop!!!!

My family and I took a weekend trip to Nashville only to have our transmission go out on the interstate, on a Friday, during rush hour traffic. We dropped our vehicle off at the Aamco on Nobelsville Pike and Ive never had a better experience in a helpless situation. Once I showed up with the tow company to drop it off, it was after closing, but was met by a gentleman leaving the shop on his way home from the end of a workday. He took the time to unlock the door and take me inside to get my info. I was searching for a vehicle to rent at the time, and once I let him know, he handed me keys to a vehicle on their lot that was big enough for a family of five and told me to use it until we left to go back home to KY. No questions asked.I got in touch with Matt the following Monday. The van was going to need a full transmission replacement. We ended up making the decision not to repair due to cost and age of vehicle, but Matt was completely understanding and helpful and never pressured me to make a decision that would cost money. I offered to pay for their services and help, and he kindly declined and just asked for a review. Im not one to leave reviews, but feel it would be a disservice to this great team at Aamco if I didnt let people know how they cared well for a stranded family of out-of-towners like us while we were there for the weekend.Nashville folks, from my experience, if you need transmission services dont hesitate to give these folks a call. If youre an out-of-towner like myself and get in a pinch in Nashville, this Aamco is hands down the place to go.Thanks team Aamco!

I have taken my car to this Aamco on multiple occasions and very time they have work around my availability and did great, quick work. Had a problem with my KIA sportage transmission jerking between 2nd and 3th gear. Took it to the dealership and was told that the transmission needed to be replaced after a diagnostic test. Tried another dealer in Nashville and told them about a software update on my car that I read online. They tested it and told me no computer update for that vehicle. So I went AAMCO and explained to them about my problem. They called later and told me there was a software update on that vehicle and they would try that first. I told them that KIA said no computer update. Next day I got the call that my vehicle was done and problem had been corrected by the update. I highly recommend these people. Will be calling KIA headquarter with my complaints. Thank you AAMCO.

Took my mustang to them to have a really expensive aftermarket cluth installed and it was improperly installed didnt last 400 miles took it back to them and they stated it was clutch malfunction wanted to charge me again to fix visited another local who showed me what was wrong and how it happend. Called them back and they tell me samthing as beforei feel like i was sscammed out of my money i wouldnt recoment this place to anybody!!!!!!!! Regardless of what their past reviews say unless you want to throw away money
