I am a longtime patient of Dr. Shanks as were my children when they were young. Dr. Shanks is very kind, a really sweet compassionate Doctor. He takes his time in explaining things to you thoroughly. I can’t speak higher of Dr. Shanks or his employees, they are all wonderful. His wife is the receptionist and she is nice. His son, Brandon makes the glasses and will come out and answer any question you have. There is another lady that works there that has gorgeous long red hair, I forgot her name but, I adore her! There will never be another eye care facility that I would go to. They are that exceptional. I will be making an eye appointment for next week & dare I say that I’m looking forward to it. Just to be around some really nice, caring, compassionate people.

Wonderful people, always, eager to help. Dr. Shanks is fabulous at what he does and Brandon goes over and above. It is great to have people who under promise and over deliever.

I was in the Nashville area on vacation about a month ago and stopped by this place because I had forgotten my contacts. I was expecting to just buy a couple of boxes and live with it but they very generously gave me weekly trial contacts at no charge. Everyone in there was so kind and they displayed Southern Hospitality as best as an eyewear store possibly could

I dont leave alot of reviews. But I had to for this Doctors office! The Dr. Was very nice, helpful, and educated. The office staff were very nice. I got contacts and glasses. This was my first time wearing contacts, and the lady who worked with me was very patient and and answered all my questions. Then for the frames I also had a very friendly lady help me find just the right pair. 5 stars!

The office is nice, the staff and doctor are very friendly and Dr. Shanks seems to be very experienced. Im not giving 5 stars though because they didnt seem to listen very well. When I said I was actually more interested in glasses than contact lenses they ignored this by talking me into a contact lens exam and charging me 280% the normal price for some new contact lenses. More importantly however, after a very quick eye exam, my new lenses actually seem a little too weak. Also the glaucoma test was stressful because the OA was having difficulty with the tonometer.

This place is awesome. Went in for an exam, everyone in there is so friendly, said Happy Veterans Day, and thanked me for my service. I was amazed, especially since I had never been there before. I wish I lived closer because my entire family would go here because of the very helpful people, quality of exam, and great facility.

Very pleased with how Dr Shanks took care of me. Ive been a patient for years for annual exams, but this week I was in pain from an eye infection. Dr Shanks worked me in and made sure that I got immediate treatment. I felt like my infection was given his highest priority. I would recommend him to anyone..

I needed a new optometrist because I moved and I picked Shanks family eyecare because of their great reviews. I was not disappointed! Everyone on staff was friendly and professional. I did not have to wait more than 5 minutes, if that. Another reason I chose them was because they have the machine that takes pictures of your eyes instead of having to dilate them. Dr. Shanks was professional, clearly knew his stuff, and was warm and personable. Pam, who fitted me for my glasses, was a hoot to talk with. I’ve found my eye care home!!

I am so thankful that I found Dr. Shanks! Going in I was nervous, Ive never been to an eye doctor, but Dr. Shanks and his staff definitely made me feel at home and helped me every step of the way. I felt like I was being well taken care of, all of my questions were answered as expected! I will definitely remain a loyal customer for as long as they are among the world of eye care!

Dr Shanks is very thorough and experienced. I have been going to an eye doctors that rushed you in and out and treated you like a number. Dr Shanks is personable and friendly. I have only been here twice but both times I havent had to wait.
