I got a new car and I need a hitch. I called U-Haul and Donelson muffler and Hitch. U-Haul wasn’t sure when they could get to it since the only guy that does it was on vacation. And they quoted me $450.Muffler and hitch could do it right away. And over the phone they quoted $400. What a great job they did. I took it at 8 o’clock on a Saturday morning was done by 10 maybe earlier. It ended up being under $400. Great service! I think the guys name is Mike...he was real funny and informative. And he’s been doing this for years.

I have been to this location 3 times with no luck getting anything done. 1st time speaking with the owner & being told to be here at 8am & I would be able to get in to have some work done. Following weekend came back there’s only one gentleman there to do any kind of work & is so covered up he can not even hardly get any work done let alone mine. I was told to come back the next weekend to get the job done that I was seeking & to no avail I worked 14 hrs the day before got up extra early & went to once again find that I could not get any work done for this time they were closed. Word of advice staff your business if you want return customers. I will not return to this shop & will be telling others in my town of Donelson that they should take their business else where that’s not how you business by dis honesty thank you.

They were the only shop willing to work on my 73 rv. Did a great job replacing the full exhaust, and also went the extra mile and welded on an O2 sensor bung for me.Really pleased with the price and results.

The guy there wad great. I called on short notice to get a job done and they stayed open until I could come down there and they can fix it up for me. Ill definitely take jobs there again. Plus they stock flowmaster!

Had a car towed to their shop over night because someone cutoff my cat converter they had it fixed in an hour of opening. Fantastic service and fixed it cheaper then quoted. Definitely recommend.

Cant say enough good stuff about this place. I find that Nashville tradesmen tend to charge more than they should. I found that not to be the case here. The price was very fair and timely. They were relaxed and understanding and communicated very well. I enjoyed working with the owner/mechanic Mike. I definitely recommend this place.

They did a great job installing my hitch. The technicians were friendly and got the job done in good time.

I went in to have them install a brake controller and cabling. I already had all of the parts and they were willing to use them. I left my car and parts with them. They installed the controller and brake cable to my trailer hitch but they never called me when my car was done and didn’t install the aux power cable I provided and I didn’t get the parts they didn’t use back. So I couldn’t even do it myself afterwards.The install they did do was neat and tidy. They just didn’t seem like they wanted to do the job. They could have just said no.

Gary got me right in replaced both catalytic converter‘s and had me back on the road. Great people to do business with.

I’ve always had great service at Donelson Muffler and Hitch. They have good prices and do quality work. They have always brought my vehicles in with little or no wait. Recently stopped by on a Saturday to see about a minor exhaust repair, and it was a few minutes before closing time. Mike was about to lock the door but offered to stay late to fix my vehicle. This shop is probably more honest than I would be. The service is fast and friendly. I have another vehicle that needs their service and it will go there. No question.

Like many folks, I’ve been overcharged, told additional work was needed when it wasn’t, lied to, etc. I researched Donelson Muffler and Hitch and then went by and spoke to Kenny. Such a nice and honest man. He told me that he treats customers the way he would want his mom treated if she went to a shop for repairs. Enough said. Great service and very fast. They had us up and running really fast on exhaust and emission problems. We were fixed in a couple hours and passed Marta soon after. Will probably make the repair price back in fuel savings over the next few months. The price was more than fair. I hope I don’t have to go back, but he just made a new customer for all our auto needs. Highly recommend.

Such a great place! Took my car to Firestone and they said I needed a whole new exhaust system so I found this place which had great reviews. I talked to Kenny who was able to give me an estimate and had me in the next day and within a couple of hours fixed my car and saved me so much money and time. I came in thinking I needed new rubber hanger inserts because the exhaust was hanging a bit and making a rattle.The guys got it right in and told me that it wasn’t that at all- that in fact the exhaust was bent slightly. They got everything straightened out (literally) and welded a new hanger on up front eliminating the rattle for a super reasonable price.I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Great service, great prices, and very friendly!

I had a really good experience with Donelson Muffler. Want to give particular kudos to Kenny. The 1st dealership rep I spoke with wanted to replace my exhaust system for $1500. The 2nd told me find a small muffler shop and get a weld. So, I went in to Donelson Muffler to have them check it out and Kenny put it up on the lift and fixed the issue with a small weld. This was done with very little wait time and at no cost. I really appreciate that he could have tried to sell me a new exhaust system but didnt. Thanks Kenny. I appreciate your friendly manner and great work ethic.

The guys are nice enough, but the work is average. If you just need a simple repair on a daily driver or your not picky, they are fine. If you are picky and your car is more than just daily transportation Id look elsewhere. I had them replace a muffler on a vehicle I recently purchased. The muffler is not level and one exhaust tip is now past the bumper 1/2 inch longer than the other side. Its just disappointing.

Amazing work and shop. Ken and Mike went out of their way to put on a muffler for by BMW. Most shops would of turned me away but they were determined to get it right. I really appreciate it and highly recommend these guys.

They charged me double what other shops would normally charge (and i confirmed), and said it would take 4 hours for my setup to be finished when the install should have only been 30 min to an hour.... And there wasn’t anyone else in line at the shop so it’s not like I was waiting in line. Poor customer service, too. The guys were not too nice on top of all that. If you want really great customer service and legitimate low prices, Discount Mufflers on Dickerson Pike is your best bet. Just went to those guys today, and it was super fast service, nicest guys ever, and the prices were insanely low. But, don’t go to Donelson Muffler & Hitch. You’ll regret it.

Took my sons truck by Kenny on Friday. He was so helpful and friendly, but most of all he is an expert and delivered expert service. My sons truck is now safe again. I highly recommend him.

Took my truck into the shop because I had a vibrating noise which seemed to be coming from the muffler. Turned out to be a loose bracket. The guys fixed me right up and didnt charge anything.Highly recommended in my opinion.

Kenny and Mike did an excellent job on my exhaust. The previous shop did a terrible job. These gentleman routed the exhaust up over the rear axle so it no longer bangs against everything. I cant say enough good things . Old world craftsmanship. The way I would do it if I could.

With just 30 minutes advance notice, in midday, they put my car up on the lift, immediately identified the simple problem (muffler-tailpipe joint), and fixed it permanently for a very fair price. A Nissan dealer had previously looked at it and completely missed the location, saying it was the exhaust manifold connection -- which was checked out by Donelson M&H and confirmed to be fine.

This place is fantastic!! They fit me in immediately, fixed my problem within 20 minutes, and did it for free! They are extremely honest and do good work. and I couldn’t recommend them more!!

I was referred there by Titan Motorsports for catalytic converters for a Mercedes CLS 500. Kenny took the time to explain the differences in cut and welding standard Cats in there vs replacing with bolt on OEM parts. This guy was super customer service oriented and wanted me to understand the process. I drove from Franklin to see him and it was well worth it.
