I took my Takamine acoustic to Harpeth guitar for a fret repair. Scott was very professional and helpful in his observations of the problems. When l got it home a week later, it was like a new but better guitar. Smooth playing up and down the neck, Solo’s were silky. I’m very happy with my guitar now. It’s the best it’s ever been.
When I first found Scott online I was admittedly a little skeptical due to the small size of his business. If you are in the same boat, I highly recommend you give him a chance.I came mainly for some electronics fixes, however, I inundated him with load of other requests for my ax. Scott was extremely courteous, friendly, and professional in discussing the options with my guitar and his prices are quite competitive. I love the way my guitar turned out and it plays and sounds better than ever!
Scott is highly skilled and a genuinely nice person. He’s done some amazing setup work on my guitars. For me he’s the best in Nashville! He’s helped my band through some serious guitar emergencies! Thank you!
Hands down the best luthier in Nashville! Meticulous craftsmanship. Great guy and reasonable prices.Completely Restored 2 very damaged vintage guitars for me. Top Class work.I wouldnt go anywhere else. Highly recommend.
Had a pickup install done, and a fret leveling and set up. super fast, great work, very polite and cool. Will definitely go to them again next time i need guitar work done.
Scott did fantastic work on my Gibson SJ. It needed some work on the braces and some touch up on the top. I also wanted the tuners replaced. He sent pictures to me as he worked on it. I wasnt in a big hurry but he had done in a few weeks. Good Experience and Good Value for level of work he did on it. Excellent Communication.
Outstanding experience! Brought my Les Paul to Scott and he handled multiple finish issues with ease and now my guitar looks and plays fantastic! Very reasonably priced and a great person to deal with in all aspects! Highly recommend if you have an issue with your instrument to call Harpeth Guitar Restoration!
Scott at Harpeth Guitar Restoration was exactly who I was looking for to restore my dad’s Yamaha FG-300. From the moment he first sent me a quote he gave his undivided attention and understanding of my project. Scott kept me in the loop during the entire restoration process and even sent pictures! He also went above and beyond by choosing strings and bridge settings that would best suit my dad’s needs. I am blown away with the overall results and I can’t wait to see my dad’s reaction on Christmas! Thank you, Scott!
Scott exceeded all my expectations some months ago. He repaired a serious crack in the neck and headstock of my Martin guitar. Afterwards he did a neck reset, all in a timely manner, including sending updates and pics. during the work. He’s really great.
Scott does amazing work, and has been great about communication. In addition to doing a fantastic setup, he was able to sort out an issue I was having with the tremolo arm on my Stratocaster.
Almost too good to be true! My first experience with Scotts guitar work was on my early 70s Matsumoko Special which I bought in very bad condition but knew it was a diamond in the rough. Scott did a total makeover with new frets, a neck joint repair, and even custom cut a new tort pickguard. He went the extra mile in every detail with this guitar and I was astonished when I saw it and played it!!! Check out the stunning before and after photos he posted. I was also surprised at the extremely reasonable fee for his high quality restoration work! I have since trusted him to restore and re-fret my prized vintage1962 Gibson Les Paul Jr. which was unplayable when I dropped it off. After the fantastic restoration he did I was again walking on air when I plugged it in! After the electrics were done. He easily doubled the value of this guitar. Next I had Scott go to work on my acoustic, a 1975 Guild D-40C, the guitar I grew up with which over the years has become nearly unplayable and tone dead. He did some fret work, saddle, nut, and neck alignment. When I came in to pick it up I just could not stop playing it! It has never sounded this good!! I cannot give a higher recommendation based on my experiences. I have never been happier with my guitars. Scott is now the only guitar guy in my contact list. 5 Stars is not nearly enough.
If there was ever an experience beyond perfect, it would be this one. Scott is full of knowledge and passion for what he does. I went for a simple nut replacement on my guitar and it returned to me in twice better shape than when I gave it to him. The extra mile he took to ensure I’d get the best experience out of my guitar is something of value you can’t put a price on. 10/10 would recommend!!
Scott does amazing work in very little time. I absolutely will be back whenever I need anything for my guitars!
Really nice guy. Fixed a chip on my fretboard and inverted my acoustic into an electric. All for a reasonable price. Highly recommend.
