Some of the old reviews on here are funny. Saying they tried to charge $500 for $60 contacts… hmmmm did you look at how many contacts were in the $60 ones online??? I’m sure the $500 was for at LEAST 6 months to a year. Those $60 ones were probably for a month or two. This place is the literal BEST place I’ve ever been too. I’ve always had a good experience here and the doctor is the best, he cares about the health of your eyes. I’m reviewing from my friends account because I couldn’t seem to review from mine from the link for some reason. From Laura H. :)

One star: I’m looking for some answers….My eye journey began in 2017 at eye physician Associates. I have had four cornea transplant‘s,I now wear SCLREAL contacts. The fitter I have been seeing wants to send me to this doctor but I am not sure if they are even capable of fitting my right eye!HAS ANYONE ORDERED SCLREAL CONTACTS from here?? There are NO REVIEWS!

Super helpful, very prompt, Dr Leffingwelll really listens to you. Was super happy that they were able to pop my new lenses in my glasses in the time it took to pick up my contacts.

On time appts, efficient, store was clean & DO took the time to explain things to me & gave me samples of contacts to try. That was really nice! Great selection of glasses frames too!

Dr. Zeigler and Leffingwell’s office would have always received 5 stars from me, but since MyEyeDr. took over administration, that part of the business has taken a hit! When I arrived myself and another patient stood in the waiting area for 5minutes before anyone received us! Then we were both taken back to a counter at the door to receive our Covid, questions and told to use hand sanitizer etc. We had both been in the office for 5 minutes or so! Anyway once that was over things got better although before MyEyeDr. took over every employee was the best, now that seems to be up for grabs! The technician who did my preliminary eye testing was very mechanical, and showed little compassion.Having said ALL of this, DR. DAVID ZEIGLER is wonderful! He has always been extremely dedicated, highly skilled, and goes above and beyond caring for my eye health, with all of the latest Infomation regarding eyes and sight helps! And I would like to add, Dr. Leffingwell is the same dedicated eye doctor! After my exam, the woman who helped me complete the purchasing of my contacts and sunglasses was very helpful and not unlike the employees that filled the office before MyEyeDr.I just wanted to explain why I couldn’t give 5 ⭐️’s!

Been going to Dr. Ziegler/Leffingwell for the past 10+ years, from the old location to the move to the new location. Always very thorough with exam, and good selection of frames. I’ve had no complaints. Highly recommend Dr. Ziegler and Leffingwell!

COVID-19 Measures are handled very properly. I felt very safe throughout my process and exam. Price match the prices for contacts! Very nicely established business!

They are beyond professional! Every time I go there, their staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. I had my sunglasses which I purchased from there, bend so I could not wear them- I was able to stop in drop them and have them fixed and cleaned within 10 min. I can’t imagine going anywhere else!!!

Kudos to Doctor Ziegler! Ive had issues with my left eye due to.........long story! Anyways, over the last 18 months, Ive been to 4 (!!) different eye doctors who told me I would never see better than 20/40 in my left eye, even with glasses or contacts. Since Im too young to see that poorly, I wasnt ready to give up. I decided to try Doctor Ziegler because l had read in his bio that he had extra training with contacts. Im glad that I did. I was impressed with Doc Zs knowledge and patience. Because of my difficult situation, we tried a # of different lenses before finding the solution that finally worked. This took a number of visits, but Doc Z worked with me until we figured it out. (Im guessing that other doctors may have given up after only 1 or 2 visits). Now I can see 20/20 in BOTH eyes! It feels great after 18 months of poor vision. Thanks Doctor Ziegler.

Sitting in the vestibule with the doors locked. Then some lady comes out asking why we didn’t read the fine print sign in the door and call them. Hello, it was raining out. Maybe you or one of your 7 other employees could’ve acknowledged us. Poor service and not doing this right. Fix your procedures if you care about customers.

Ziegler Leffingwell Eyecare is the place that I truly trust with my vision eye care; and with having a mother that lost her eye sight, I cant stress the importance of this trust. The doctors are so knowledgeable, noticeably caring and can translate detailed information in terms that I easily understand. With having the family history concern, I was informed of proactive tests that could be taken along with costs and what insurance would or would not cover so I could make the most sound decisions.In addition, they have amazing current & stylish frames with opticians that are happy to help and guide you. The entire staff is incredibly warm and welcoming - give it a try, youll be glad you did!

Most advanced technology in eye care; extremely friendly and helpful staff, and the doctors are amazing. I recently started going here, and theyre the only ones in the last 15 years to have done a retinal scan on my eyes; which should have been done yearly at the place I used to go to because I had a detached retinal years ago and reattachment surgery. Very comfortable trusting my eye care here. Couldnt recommend enough.

The frames are beautiful- cant wait until my glasses are ready. The lady who fit my lenses was very professional and took time to explain different fittings- thank you for that. The store is lovely and appealing-- this enhances the viewing of the frames.

Ive been going to Ziegler Leffingwell for years now, and Ive always been impressed with their facility and their staff. Their equipment looks pretty futuristic, so I can only assume its the latest technology. The last time I was there, I had a question about a pair of prescription sunglasses I bought elsewhere and they helped me out. They usually give me pretty good advice on what glasses look good on me, which I appreciate as a single man with horrible taste.

I picked up new glasses and sunglasses before departing for Florida for the winter. While there I noticed that the new prescription for close work was not strong enough. I did not want to contact an eye-care provider in Florida. Upon my return in April I contacted Ziegler Leffingwell Eyecare to let them know of my issue. I went in for an exam and it was decided that the close-work prescription needed to be strengthened. They had both pair of glasses remade with the correct strength. The glasses now meet my needs perfectly. This reiterates the need to establish a strong relationship with your eye-care provider. They certainly came through for me and my dilemma. Thanks to Dr. Ziegler for his professional handling of my case.

I was the first time in my life at an optometrist and have to say I was impressed by this office staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. All the procedures have been explained to me by the assistants and the doctor. The personnel in the store was very helpful to select a nice pair of glasses for me. Overall, a very good experience!

This was the best eye exam experience Ive ever had. They use the latest technology and stock the latest fashions. The Doctor spent so much time with me, explaining his process, his findings, and my many options. The staff was professional and went above and beyond to make my experience comfortable and easy. Id recommend this business to anyone whos been a regular customer to the chain stores- Sears, lens crafters, etc. because the expertise of this group is something youll never get from a chain.

Dr. Ziegler and his staffs attention to detail changed my opinions about the eye care industry. Dr. Ziegler took time to explain why, at 36 years old and with zero change to my eyes in 10 years, they had improved. Top notch care. I have been going to Dr. Leffingwell for more than 20 years and have received excellent care by him and the entire staff there. Although my current insurance doesnt cover them (my bad insurance), I have stayed with Dr. Leffingwell because of the quality of service.

Doctor Ziegler and Doctor Leffingwell and their staff are extraordinary. Each of them is professional, friendly, courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable. I have entrusted them with my eyecare for almost 30 years.The office is spacious and equipped with up to date technology. The number and variety of frames available to view and try on could be overwhelming if not for the helpful assistance from the staff. The entire experience was very pleasant and I love my new glasses.

I have gone to this doctor before and have referred other people here, but my most recent experience has been bad. I had my normal check up and when I went to look at glasses I told the person I wanted to get one pair of regular glasses and then replace the lenses in my sun glasses. She told me I should get the special they had where you buy 2 frames, get a discount, and one of the frames has transition lenses. I said I didnt want to try transition lenses because I knew several people that had them and did not like them. More importantly, the sales person made it sound like transition lenses are a reaplacement for sun glasses (since she told me to get them instead of replacing the lenses in my sun glasses). I went to pick up my glasses, and that person explained they are not a replacement for sun glasses. I was upset, but tried out the transition lenses for a couple of weeks anyway. I hated them so I returned them to have the lenses replaced. That was 3 weeks ago and I still dont have my glasses. I just called again this morning and of course had to leave a voicemail. Lastly, I dont know how much I paid for these transition lenses. The only receipt I was given was the credit card receipt. I never received a receipt showing how much I paid for the lenses, options, frames, etc. Anyway, after I finally get my glasses Im not going back. The equipment is nice and I liked the selection, but the service is not good.

Staff is caring and knowledgeable. Prior to exam, just looking around at their frame selection from afar, it seemed they didn’t have as big of a selection as I have seen at other places. Exam was fine and when I went to look at frames I was shocked to see a large percentage of their frames were $500. Just for frames. I’ve been wearing glasses for over 30 years, get a new pair every 1-2 years and have never paid that much. Even at the exorbitant cost, I couldn’t find frames that I even liked (they had some in the $230-$270 range but none cheaper that I saw). The cost of just the lenses they quoted me were the highest as well (over $900 without insurance and $375 after my insurance and yes this is without frames). No thanks.

My family has been going to Dr. Ziegler for more than 25 years. He and his staff have always provided professional service with a cheerful attitude. As mentioned in other reviews, he has top technology, staff and eye consultants.Last year I changed insurance carriers which created a billing problem. Dr. Zieglers staff worked very hard to get the insurer to properly cover the bill saving me a big headache.

Just had my first eye appointment ever and I cant begin to describe how awesome everyone was.I initially picked this as my primary eye care office due to the pleasant office workers and eagerness to get my appointment scheduled ASAP.I have been struggling with my eyesight as of recently, and they were able to get me set up with my first pair of glasses ever.Highly recommended.

Im updating this review as I have received a call from Dr. Ziegler who, if I were available, would have gone out of his way to make a special accommodation for me and sincerely apologized for the error on their part with not having the correct hours of operation at their business and the various online mediums. I look forward to meeting him in person next week when I get my eyewear.I was referred to this location by a friend due to their outstanding optometrist(s) and use of technology which was spot on.Their use of technology to help the customer after the purchase however is unacceptable in that they can’t even keep their own hours of operation consistent with their messaging. My first appointment had to be rescheduled to “free up time” so the doctor could leave early, my second appointment which was in the early morning was off by almost :30. Then, I called this past Tuesday to check on hours during the holiday weekend and was set to pickup my glasses today, Saturday. Went to pickup my glasses; they are now closed today (Saturday) while their website, Google hours, door signage, their own local phone number and their 866 number all say that they are open. Their 866 number literally told me that they are open and don’t understand why I can’t get in.For such a premium price, the customer deserves more premium service. Unfortunately more people are showing up in the parking lot behind me as I write this...

Excellent selection of frames, the newest technology in lens, state of the art testing, very knowledgeable staff, Dr. Ziegler was fantastic, clean and impressive office, so in summary my experience couldnt have been better.I recommend the Zeiss iScription lens and Blue Protect coating for your new frames. I cannot believe the clarity and detail in my vision since getting these glasses. My old frames and lens did not even come close to the fit and quality provided here.They also handle a large selection of Oakley frames as these are sometimes more difficult to find.

You guys should get a better selection of kid glasses and they should come faster.

I was referred to Dr Ziegler for contacts and fitting as I was told he was the best for my astigmatism. My insurance did not cover the exam and fittings but decided to make appointment as I felt it might be a waste of money going to somebody else. After all the tests We discussed 3 options for me. .soft, hard, and hybrid lenses. With the soft he could get my vision to 30/20 and with hard 20/20. I discussed with him that I would prefer to go with the hard even though I knew it would take some getting used to. Dr Ziegler wanted me to go with the Toric soft lenses. I wore the sample pair for a week and they did nor work for me. I had to be within 5 of my computer screen to be able to see. Night driving was impossible as I had so many light refractions that I went back to my glasses that were 3 years old. My insurance paid a percentage of x rays. Now I still have no contacts that work and I personally paid 330.00. They had me make another appt to follow up. The day of the appt I asked them if there was a charge for follow up since the contacts were not working! I was told YES..there would be a $125.00 office visit + refraction . I feel since the contacts were not working I should not be charged another office visit.I feel going to this Dr was a complete waste of money. I canceled my appt as I felt I did not want to shell out any more $$$ . I wonder how many more $125.00 + office visits would it take to get my lenses correct? Long story short went to another optometrist and can see like a hawk with new lenses.

The receptionists and eyecare fitting specialists are such a pleasure to talk to and work with. Dr. Ziegler was very understanding, answers any questions, and makes sure to explain everything to you. Billed me 242 dollars to tell me I had pink eye. In & out office in ten minutes. Called beforehand and couldn’t give me a price over phone. Walmart glasses place would have probably done it for free.

Not only did they charge a HUGE amount for an eye exam, which you can get for FREE at other places, but they tried to sell me $500 contact lenses which are available for $60 online!!!!! TAKE YOUR EYE CARE BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!!!
