At Garlands they have an inspection station which Ive used a few times and the gentleman that does them is really nice and the inspections are done quick but efficient. It is a convenient location for me and the service is great. I would definitely recommend for ur future inspection needs.

My 2013 RAM 2500 with the 68RE auto transmission has around 105k miles and went into a limp mode meaning it was stuck in 4th gear. Called them on Wednesday morning and had the truck towed over that afternoon. Diagnosed early the next day, part ordered and received that afternoon. Picked it back up on Friday morning. Good as new, and shifting better than before. Thanks to Bruce and Chris for their help, communication, and quick turn-around. Great shop

These guys changed 3 of my U joints the one in the rear was still damaged after I picked it up having me to go to break check for them to do it correctlyThey never told me a wait time I was out of a truck for three days

I was told by another RV repair shop that I needed new brakes. They inspected my RV and the brakes did not need repair although I had authorized them to fix them. Trust this business.

A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Ive had multiple transmissions done on different vehicles in the past, and this was the best one yet in my opinion. It was done within the quoted time frame and price, and my wifes jeep now shifts better than ever.

While traveling from Houston to San Antonio on a Friday afternoon, my transmission went into what Dodge calls limp mode. I was able to get the truck into New Braunfels late at night and made my way back home to Houston. I called shops from Houston on Saturday looking for someone to help - all were closed; but Garlands message had an emergency number. Not really an emergency, but I thought - what the heck.Mr. Craig Murphy answered his personal phone on Saturday, where I explained the problem and where I abandoned my truck. Not only did he help me understand what was going on, he also drove into the office to get me pricing to help make better decisions.First thing Monday morning, Craig and Bruce were on the job - they went to get my truck, brought it to their shop and began diagnosis. Bruce spent extra time to make sure it wasnt something simple and inexpensive to repair. Alas, it wasnt and we replaced the shift solenoid block.The price was great - compared to the $5000 minimum repair quoted by the dealer in Gonzales.....but that is a different story.Bruce fielded all of my calls, was far more patient with me than I deserved and got the job done in a few days - ahead of what was promised and what I needed.Craig and Bruce - I hope you read this, as there simply arent words to describe how much I appreciate all of your help. You gave me great, honest information that helped me make good decisions and save a bunch of money. Further, you went out of your way to make this difficult situation easy. Taking advantage of my situation would have been very easy - the integrity which Garland is operated is apparent. I would give six stars if possible!Thanks again guys - and I look forward to getting back on the road.

Talked to Bob on the phone, a very personable and down to earth customer service. I called firestone and just for diagnostics for most likely just spark plugs they quoted me $100. Garland Transmissions offered me free diagnostics and recommended a tow company they know personally.

They are very friendly and very knowledgeable. Great shop.

After being passed around from one shop to the next, I was assisted at Garland and I have not received better service than they provided to me. The diagnosis was quick, they were very clear to help and show me understand, and great at discussing solutions. Huge sense of relief and I will always return.

THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF IF YOURE A WOMAN. I brought in a toyota venza. Pretty common transmission. It was having a transmission issue and was recommended to go to garland. They told me my toyota needed to have its transmission rebuilt and that I needed 3 motor mounts. They quoted me 4600 for the rebuild and another 700 for the motor mounts. I thought this was a very high quote so I took it to 2 more shops. Mr. Transmission in San Antonio showed me my motor mounts and said they were perfectly fine NO damage at all. Then he also proceeds to tell me that my cars transmission rebuild should cost AT MAX 3500. I called and asked bruce why they would quote me such a high quote and why he told me 3 motor mounts were bad. He told me thats business and thats how they make money. Not a good enough answer for me I must say.

I had a full rebuild on a Dodge 2500 on a transmission that had 323000 miles on it. 80K later they were telling me it needed rebuilding again. Draw your own conclusions but I find this unacceptable.
