This place is very honest; found the leak quickly, and went over all the options and recommendations with me even using pictures to make sure I understood. Well, My family was very faithful and loyal to Austin and Marisa ever since we moved here in 2007, however after the last visit I found they purposely disconnected the brake sensor which doesnt just fall off, it must be forcibly removed by someone. They also lied about replacing the blend door actuator which when a 9v battery was connected after removal it worked fine. They have been disrespecting my family for years and thats just the tip of the iceberg. Also if you see a suggestion for BGs cleaning agent, it may not be needed as their commercials on youtube clearly showing they have products by BG meaning they are most likely sponsored and therefore might be recommending it based solely on their business relationship with BG. So Marisa calls me because my mother is very humble, avoids confrontation and also doesnt want anything else to do with Brake Solutions because they intentionally disconnected her brake line that is under the dash and controls the brake lights. The only reason I can imagine for doing this is to get the car back into the shop for more $$. What really bothers me though is not so much the $ aspect but the other range of potential consequences, such as getting an unnecessary ticket or worse an automobile accident. This brake line doesnt just fall off. I have personally been under the dash and experienced this for myself as it takes two fingers to push in the sides and pull as you will hear a click. My family mechanic took a photo of this connection and his blue glove indicates the tabs that need to be pushed in. I have also included a photo of the work they did on the driver side window. I spoke to Marisa Herring at approximately 8:30am on Thursday 6/28/18 when she called and explained to me that the brake connection being undone was just a horrible coincidence (I dont think so) and accused me of hurting their family lively-hood with my review. Brake Solutions is a business and has taken this much too personally. In my opinion, I dont beleive it to be very professional but that is their decision. My family was a customer, my Mother just as my recently passed Great Aunt, as Marisa needed to remind me during her call. My name is Kyle Hodges and I dont like shady businesses that use unethical practices that can potentially cause harm to my Mother, your former customer. Happy 4th of July New Braunfels! Ive disconnected the plug to see how difficult it is and there is no way it just fell off by accident. So the brake light works when she takes it in last time and the plug for the brake lights is disconnected. After plugging it back in the lights work just fine and I would just like them to admit their wrongdoing. I live with my mother so I do know the relationship with my mother and Brake Solutions - yall ruined it.

Went in for an alignment and then the chip in my key went out and my truck would not start, they went above and beyond in trying to help me figure out the problem. I ended up having to get it towed to the dealership to get a new key and get it programmed and they helped me get a tow and were very friendly and I will definitely be recommending there services to all of my buddies.

These people are the best! Great service and arent there to sell you something you dont need. In fact, they they talked me out of something that I thought I needed, saying there was no need yet for the expense and that I should check again in another 20K miles.

Great service! Emailed Marissa and set up an appointment to have my brakes done & have a chirping on my tensioner belt pulley. Dropped the truck off at 830am they called me to give an update in the afternoon & the go ahead to complete the work. Initially I missed the call due to sleeping before needing to go to work. Called them back about an hour after the call n told them go ahead with it. Unfortunately I needed to pick the truck up about n hour n a half later before they closed for the night so I could get to work & they had only finished the brakes but offered for me to bring the truck back later for the rest to be done at a later date. Would have been great to have it all done but Im basically to blame on the delay of service due to missing their call.

Pretty simple: locally owned and provides excellent customer service with reasonable prices. Prove it you say. Well, I walk in, meet Austin and his sister, Marisa. Almost immediately after finding out that I would need to call for a ride back home, he offered to have someone drive me. I guarantee to you any chain owned company would make you sit in the waiting room for hours. That alone for me, is why I like to support local businesses. As for the work I needed done, rotors turned, the prices cant be beat. Then theres the service. My truck stops smoothly now. Dont be bamboozled by a larger box franchise garage with their commercials promising this and that. Then they try to sell you on things you do not need. Very pleased with this repair shop. The dealership had told me that I needed new front and rear disk brakes. Brake Solutions did a thorough inspection and told me that only the front brakes were faulty and that the rear brakes had at least two more years of service (based on my annual usage).

Took my moms van there for an alignment. It drove/handled much better afterwards! 👍

I had a really great experience from start to finish. I called on a Monday morning and explained I had a company SUV that needed a break job asap. They informed me if I could get there at a reasonable hour that morning they might be able to finish everything that day. I was very pleased with the price on 4 breaks and 4 rotors with an oil change. (the breaks were really bad and I knew that) I will be returning for my personal cars as well. Great people.

I called to see about getting a quote for work I needed done which was a really simple job and was told that they stay away from foreign cars? Maybe they should say that in their commercial. I ended up doing it myself which was a clamp connection

Ive been taking my chevy and my wifes lexus to Austin and Marisa at Brake Solutions for over 4 years now. They have been amazing to us every time. Everything from brakes on both vehicles, to oil and fluid changes, to small things breaking on both vehicles, they have taken care of everything perfectly every time. At a great price compared to the value they provide. They even game my wife a ride back to the house when I couldnt get by there to pick her up during a service. Just amazing people doing great work. I had called over 5 different locations to get my brakes done and all of them had horrible phone etiquette! However, Brake Solutions was my next phone call and Austin answered. His customer service is what sold me besides their prices. The staff in all was very professional, genuine and werent just trying to sell me products and work that I didnt need. Austin and Marisa were AMAZING! To top it off they got me out an hour earlier then they expected and I was hungry since it was early, so Austin offered to get me breakfast tacos because he was going as well. Thought i would try a local owned place, instead of a larger place, that was my first mistake. Left my truck overnight, called next day at noon, told they cant hear noise in brakes. I drove over, took the guy (austin) for a 5 minute ride, and he heard the noise. I dont believe it was ever driven or looked at. He tried to sell me a $260.00 brake job, saying what it Might Need . I could tell they had no idea what was wrong. I finally said, just put pads on front brakes and forget all the extras they were trying to make off me. I was called to pick up my truck, and charged $170.00 + just for front brake pads. That alone is way over priced. Then i noticed a few days later, they broke off 4 lug nut covers on 3 wheels, he denied it, say hes not responsible, and walked away. I wont ever go back, or trust them.

The first guy I talked to was pretty short with me and came off rude but they called me back within minutes to apologize and accommodate me.

They have horrible customer service, they give the nastiest looks for no apparent reason. They made it seem like they don’t want to be there and didn’t want to do their jobs. PLUS THEY DIDNT FIX MY BRAKES CORRECTLY.

They have a great mechanic!!!
