Took my 2002 blazer in, was running rough and bouncy. Robert told me he could get it in the same day. I had called multiple shops across town with a weeks wait list. Diagnosed it with needing a tune up and got her back on the road the next day. Very friendly guy and up front on repairs. His pricing was honest and suggested other shops that would give me the best deal for just an oil change. Happy with the service, price and turn around time. Oh and my blazer is running like a champ again!!

Our trucks speedometer went crazy and we were having trouble gaining and maintaining speed. After we replaced our speed sensor and the problem continued, we looked around New Braunfels for a mechanic that might be able to take a look and help us troubleshoot the issue. We found Legacy Transmissions, drove up, and found Robert working on another vehicle. He was so friendly, asked us what was going on, and said to wait a few minutes in his office while he finished up. He came in and discussed what could be the problem, test drove the vehicle and it was driving just fine. Because he couldnt recreate the issue, he spent about half an hour telling us all the ways we could troubleshoot and repair the problem ourselves if it happened again down the road, explaining different possibilities for what could be causing the problem.He was genuinely kind, wouldnt accept any payment for the diagnostic, and said he just hoped folks would treat his family the same way if they broke down out of town. If youre looking for a mechanic that will treat you kindly, Robert is the guy, and he definitely knows his stuff. We have a whole list of ways to troubleshoot our own vehicle now, thanks to him.Meeting Robert was totally by chance, and we feel so lucky that we did. My son broke down in New Braunfels, TX while moving, and these guys went out of their way to make sure he was able to get back on the road. What they did was a blessing. Check them out for you auto repair, and parts. Good customer service is sometimes hard to find, and these guys showed they really care. Wont forget their kindness.

My daughters transmission went out in her truck, 3 days before we had to use it to drive and move her up to Ohio for College. No other shop would even look at it in that time frame. Until we called Robert. He made her truck a priority, and got the trans replaced with time to spare. We drove it 1200 miles the next day and it performed flawlessly. I definitely recommend this shop. Hes good people.

I took my 1969 Charger to Legacy for a complete transmission rebuild. I was very pleased with the work, the transmission was wonderful! However, within a week the transmission case broke and I took the car back to Legacy to find out what the issue was. After it was inspected it was determined, in my presence, that the issue was completely unrelated to the rebuild but they stood by their work anyway! Legacy replaced the case and basically re-rebuilt the transmission for just the cost of a few parts! Amazing service given todays business environment. I am in the process of several major restoration projects on this classic muscle car and you can bet Legacy will be a part of the process.

Robert has always worked to get my cars in quickly and at an excellent price. Hes very fair, efficient and I would highly recommend his shop. I love that I can support a small town business in an ever growing town.

Robert and crew are awesome!!!! Friendly service, excellent work, reasonably priced. They do much more than just transmissions. They helped me restore the suspension, engine, transmission, and even some electrical on my old car. My ride is now fast, comfortable, handles incredible, and is an absolute pleasure to drive.

Called to get a quote on transmission repair, gentleman on the line asked if I wanted to have it towed or brought in so they can check it ? I said no I would like to have a quote on a transmission repair. He the proceed to say well how do you know it’s not the torque converter or something else and refused to give me a price on transmission repair. He said goodbye without assisting me, I’m glad I didn’t take my car there because with that type of crappy customer service who know what they would have done to my car! Tech never calls you back, we leave messages and he doesnt return our calls. Our vehicle is worst than when we brought it in. Hes never at the shop and hell give you a time and doesnt show up. He always makes excuses and its always hes only one working, he cant keep as anyone to stay. Very disappointed! Not to mention very frustrating!!!

My 2008 Mercedes sedan broke down 2 days before July 4 weekend while vacationing in New Braunfels with my family from out of town.I wasnt sure if I was going to be able find to find a quality repair shop in New Braunfels to fix my German car on short notice, but Robert and his team at Legacy Transmission were able to diagnose the problem (water pump, idler pulley), get parts and repair my car and get us home in time for the weekend......they were a life saver. My car is now running perfectly.Honest, responsive and fairly priced......highest recommendation.

My Class C Motorhome transmission failed while on vacation in New Braunfels on a late Friday evening... we were dead on the water in a town we were not familiar and no one we could call at that time of the night, Saturday morning after going online looking for folks that were open and would work on a transmission in a Motorhome we called Robert .. best decision we did on this trip by far, Robert took care of us, giving us honest transmission information and giving us options on the repairs and replacements, Robert and crew took care of us . so if you are not from this area like me that lives in another state and you have issues with your RV transmission and you are in this area I recommend Robert and Legacy Transmission for transmission work 100% by the way his recommendation for a tow company was great too!!

Worst place ever. Not only did they not fix my transmission the first time it was paid for but the second and third time for the same reason. I lost my job do to it breaking down after it was paid for and Ive been stuck out having to live with my parents because I had no vehicle. They allowed my window to fall down and stay down while in their care and results in rain water soaking the inside smells like mold not to mention the spiders and webs all through out the back seats. My daughters car seat spider webs. So sad and disappointed this man who sounded so nice and sincere truly didnt care. I feel shocked and disgusted that one would care so little. Wonder what theyd feel like if it was their daughter and grandchildren.

I had my car towed there after another shop refused to fix my car and after having for the afternoon, told me what was wrong with my car. Told me that it would be fixed by friday afternoon which it was but when it started having other problems, Robert, the owner, tried to fix the issues but when he could right away, he asked me to leave the car and that hed try to find out what the issue was as quickly as he could first thing monday morning.

Robert was very friendly!! He showed me all my parts that were worn & torn, which is always a good thing in my book!! Great job! Thanks!

A total disaster! I would give him no stars if it were an option. I had to edit this review because Robert called me and threatened to sue me if I didnt. Im just a working man trying to make a living so I cant afford to be in a court battle. I will never use Legacy Transmission again and will never recommend anyone else to.
