I’m new in town so from my very first appointment being late 15 minutes! I called on my way to tell the receptionist I was lost, and if she could give me directions. During this call they never told me they were rescheduling, but waited until I arrived 5 minutes later. I left upset only over why they never told me 5 minutes before over the phone. They waited until I was standing in front of them to say I’m sorry we can’t see you! When I first made my appointment I gave preferred eye care my private insurance information for my contacts over the phone, and even discussed my plan. The day I was seen I was told I was not covered, and they assumed I had Medicaid insurance only, and never asked me for my insurance information upon arriving. They were quick to see me out that door until I began to explain I was indeed covered under a private insurance plan. The doctor quickly went up front to verify my insurance then came back to get me the contacts properly fitted. I was very overwhelmed, upset, and frustrated with my entire eye exam appointments from then out that I have began to wonder what’s going to happen next. I was told when I switched to my one a day bio true contacts that they only had partial of my 30 day free trial in so she had to order the rest. I was given 5 for each eye, and when I went to my appointment today I was told after my insurance was billed for my contacts that they didn’t have my trial order in. So for two weeks I will be without contacts to wear. I left very upset yet again over communication, and how things are handled, and hope to have a better experience in the future.

There was only five star so I had to make it 10 in two comments thank you and you were all very nice couldnt ask for better cant wait for my next visit thank you

The eye exam was awesome! But when I got my glasses they werent right. I couldnt see out of them the frames was flimsy, and the stems would flop on one side. But thanks to a staff member name Jo e i she made sure that my glasses with done and done right! It took about two months total to get my glasses but Im very proud of them. Thank you so much. Joei.

Its been a long time since Ive been to an optometrist that made me feel like I was getting the examination I needed. The employees were all friendly and helpful and the doctor was thorough and professional. Definitely making Preferred Eye Care my permanent eye care facility!

Quick, timely service, great personalities from the staff, no issues with insurance or pricing.Could maybe offer a larger selection of frames to choose from, but I have a simple taste in fashion and found something I liked without issue.Also, I wish there was a bit more privacy from other customers when they sit down with you to talk options/pricing and payment. The other customers in the waiting area can plainly hear the fiancial details being discussed of those about to finish their appointment and make payment.

I would recommend them to everyone! The staff and Dr. Burkhart are absolutely wonderful! Cant wait to get my new glasses!

Fast and friendly. They go the extra mile to remind you of appointments even if youre hard to get ahold of. I was able to save a little money and it helped a lot.

The eye doctor is thorough and friendly. The receptionist is friendly and works well with the customers. Unfortunately, that is where the positive stops. If not for them I would give only 1 star. The area where one chooses frames is in the reception area where there is no privacy and anyone can hear talk of customers financial ability or lack of to pay for the eye glasses. But the biggest downfall of this establishment is the brown haired optician who is there to help with design, fit and dispensing corrective lenses for the correction of a persons vision. She is rude and insulting. She has very little social skills, projects frustration, and very quick to belittle a person with no regard to those around here. She strongly gives the impression that she feels that everyone she comes in contact with is an idiot. It is because of her that I, nor my family, will be returning to this establishment.

They were excellent! Very attentive and caring when it came to my daughter.

They are great for older kids or adults I do not recommend for kids under 10. They misdiagnosed my 3 year old and after she was seen at Riley they found that she does not need glasses and her far sight is within normal range for her age
