THE nicest and most helpful folks & wish other dealerships would take a note or two from them. Secor has the cleanest workshop Ive ever seen, not joking. It looks like a showroom floor.
They get 5 stars for customer service for going over and above expectation. The service manager Steve was excellent. The workmanship was good but over priced according to my hometown Dodge dealer. Very good experience overall though.
Sat down with John (general sales manager) this morning. Quick, easy, friendly businesses. He was able to work out a great deal for me. Clean showroom, good variety of inventory.
Laura was swift in being able to show me the car i was interested in and made me a deal for my trade-in that was most desireable. Fast and easy.
Called twice for a quote never even called me back. Will never used again.
The sales person in Parts was very polite and attentive to my needs, exceptional service
We bought 2 cars from this dealership in the last 4 years, and were very happy with our purchases. Unfortunately, when we were looking to buy again, we weren’t able to make that happen. Mark, our salesman, was incredibly nice. But, the truck we were interested in was overpriced compared to comparable vehicles in the area, and they weren’t willing to negotiate. Beyond that, my husband told the finance guy John that he would be in the next day at lunch, after we slept on it and they ran the numbers to see what the final sale would look like. We weren’t committed to anything yet. But John still called me the next morning and asked me if I was coming in and when. I told him we told Mark my husband would come in at lunch, but I didn’t think we’d be going forward, he got pretty upset and rude, saying “so, you’re cancelling the sale? Were you even going to call us?”. I wasn’t sure until that point that we were cancelling, but that made up my mind. Luckily, Westbrook Toyota put us in a truck at a very fair price and will be our new go to dealership.
Great experience with this dealership, from buying a jeep to getting it serviced. No BS here. Steven, the service manager, is really top notch. He went above and beyond to assist me with keeping my jeep in tip top shape during these difficult times! Keep it up!
Worst service experience ever!
Was there with a pre approval directly fromChrysler. The sales person didn’t even seen to care much. It felt more like I was bothering him too early. Not having such a great credit score but with a pre approval of $29,000 didn’t make a difference. They didn’t tried too hard and not even their finance manager explained anything or did I meet him/her. I felt profiled. Was told deal can’t be done because they will loose $5,000 dollars. Really? I had two cars to trade and some cash for a down payment if needed. Anyways, Nissan of Norwich went beyond the call and got me into my dream of having a Jeep! Secor of New London feels more like time traveling into past. I have never felt so profiled as a Hispanic man.
Real name is Ryan despite google email. Anyways, after 3/5 other visits with dealers in CT I had experienced a level on incompetence I’ve never seen before in the auto industry. Everything from me driving to the dealer to be told the vehicle I was interested in either has miraculous “holds” on them or they were already “sold”. The last visit to a dealer wanted me to lease etc. It had been a stressful and awful two week hunt. That’s when I came across Secor’s website and fell in love with a JGC overland. I submitted an inquiry on a Saturday and followed up with an e-mail as they were closed on Sunday. I was praying the vehicle was still available and come Monday morning I was counting down the minutes until they opened at 9am to see even if the vehicle was still available. At 8:45am (15 minutes prior to opening officially) I received a phone call from a salesman named Al. We had a brief conversation; I explained what had been happening to me and that I live almost 90 minutes away. He told me on the phone right then that he would give me his word as a man that he would place those keys of that vehicle that was still available in his desk and it won’t move until I got there around 10:30am.Al was extremely professional, down to earth, and no pressure what so ever. My situation included a trade in I was upside down on. Once I sat down with Al he wanted to pull the Jeep I wanted up to show me. However, when he came into the showroom he apologized and said the vehicle wouldn’t start due to a dead battery. Right then and there he had the device department drop in a new battery for me. As he said I been played around with enough and was very comforting to hear. After the test drive we got to the finance application and an offer was made on my trade in. The offer for the trade was extremely fair.Al and Elvis helped take a negative situation and turn it into a positive one with transferring negative equity at a very reasonable monthly price. I can’t praise Al enough for his superior customer service, honesty, and genuinely caring. I love my JGC overland, I don’t envision going to any other dealer in the future! If you want a no hassle, one of a kind experience go see “Country AL” and he’ll make it happen for you! Thanks again to the entire team! Best wishes!Very Respectfully,Ryan R.
My family and I were heading home from Thanksgiving in Boston to just south of Philadelphia. Our brand new Ram 3500 broke down, I was able to get it into Valenti Ram dealer in Mystic, explained my situation to the service advisor, he spoke to his manager and they said they couldn’t help for at least 3-4 days. I called Secor, spoke with Steve, he said bring it down we’ll see what we can do. They were able to diagnose it in about an hour. They had to order the parts, had shipped them next day, installed them, and got us on our way. That level of customer service is so rare today. If I lived in the area I’d only deal with them.
I called with concerns about my 1 year old Chrysler Town and Country Van shifting properly. Every person I spoke with in the service department was extremely pleasant. They offered to bring me home when I dropped off the car. They provided a loaner to use during my repair. They kept in contact with me about what was going on. They explained the repair in detail and all of it was covered on warranty. The car runs great now by the way. I would not hesitate to go back!
I dealt with ther service department to accomplish a recall. They were courteous and respectful and got the work done in a timely fashion.
So I went in about a year ago and had over $2000 of work done on it. After all that they told me I have a gas leak that was going to cost around $500-$800. Today, one year ago I got it looked at again for another inspection and was told there was no gas leak. They also informed me if there was a gas leak they shouldn’t have let me drive off in the first place because that was a liability! I get you want to make business but don’t lie doing it! Trying to take advantage of a 19 year old girl. Disgusting. I will be looking further into the $2000 matter and what exactly was done then.
I echo all the positive reviews about New Londons Secor Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram. The Service Department with Steven, Jerry, and manager Peter are the most honest, professional, and knowledgeable out of other dealerships Ive dealt with. I trust their advice and recommendations. They have no issue with researching situations to provide the best repair and care for my Jeep. I never felt that my questions or issues large and small were irrelevant or silly. They truly want the driver to enjoy their ride!
Steve Gonzalez and the service team at Secor Chrysler Jeep provide competant, professional and honest service.
They were wonderful, they had to replace a faulty part and they went above and beyond to get the job done and at a price i still cant believe. Ill have all my work done with Secore Dodge. Greatly appreciated
Great service. Friendly informative employees. They make vehicle maintenance seem do much less of a dreaded chore.
The service team is amazing. But I’m just really disappointed about my last experience with this company. I dropped off my car Sunday. On my key I had a charm my husband had bought me. I picked up my vehicle on that following Tuesday and it’s gone. I reported it to the service representative at the desk Jerry. Says they can’t do anything. Reported to the manager at the store. He calls me back to tell me that he spoke with the two service technicians that worked on my car and the don’t seem as if they took it or are lying. Stating that they have both been employed with him for a while. Asking me who should he fire. Like honestly I don’t care. I just want you to handle the situation properly, instead of calling me wasting my time. You have people who steal that work for you. That’s not my place to tell you whom to fire. I will never bring my car here again. Will be filing a police report since nobody can help me at this location.
It is always nice to drive into the service center to drop off the car. Check in is easy and there is a desk in the waiting room I can set up my computer. The service is quick and the staff always polite.
Went in today at 5 pm interested in buying a new 2018 Challenger. Came in informed the sales rep. that we had a trade in, dismissed us with a paper to fill out. Didnt offer to show us the vehicle or show any desire to help us at all.
I went in with a shimmy in the steering. I was told that the tires, pads and rotors are shot, and that I need an alignment, $890. The tires are less than a year old. This same dealership inspected the vehicle four months prior and saw no discrepancies in the tires, pads and rotors. If the tires, pads and rotors go from being acceptable to being shot in less than four months, then there is something wrong besides tires, pads and rotors.I was also told that I need another oil change. We just got that done four months ago as well. I mentioned that this vehicle has a sensor that is supposed to tell us when we need to change the oil, and he said that the sensor only measures viscosity, not the level (I thought the sensor measured particulates). The implication is that the oil needs to be changed whenever the level is low (rather than simply adding oil).I feel like the $116 diagnostic charge was a waste since I could not believe anything I was told.
The service department listens to your concern and explains exactly what theyre going to do. They are very patient polite and you can be reassured your vehicle will be fixed properly. which means the mechanics know what theyre doing and follow through in order to fix your vehicle correctly.
These guys are fantastic! Pete, Jerry and Steve get 5 stars from me for the great service they provide! I bought a Grand Cherokee from them 2 years ago and Im very happy I did . Keep up the great work guys!
I have purchased 3 vehicles in last 6 years from Al at secor. He is no BS salesman. He even took the time to work with banks to get my Girlfriend approved for a nice Charger. Prices are fair. Service dept is very good.
Professional quality service.
Pete and the service staff where very helpful and took great care of my wifes vehicle when it was in for repairs and fully explained all that was done great job 👍
Steve was the service consultant that helped me. He was very professional and informative. I called the day before for service and the next day they had me in and out. The price was reasonable and the service adequately quick.
Ok
I am from Texas and didnt know where to go with my truck, so I decided to take it to the dealership, There is one place in Connecticut I dont mind working on my Dodge diesel 3500 and its here, great customer service, and they have your vehicle in and out quick. Not only do I get a warranty on what I get done here, but Ive got quotes from other diesel shops, and here is always lower. I just wanted other people to know this, cause me personally have always thought dealerships were more expensive, glad I found out myself thats this is not always true. Thanks for helping me out guys, great customer service!
Very impressed with service dept and the upgrades and recalls performed on my eco diesel
The clerk was polite, i paid for a diagnostic due to my engine light being on. Clerk came back and said more tests were needed as they couldnt pinpoint the problem. I fail to see why i paid for a diagnostic to have them tell me i had to pay for another test to find the problem. I thought that was the purpose of the diagnostic, to find the problem. Hardly inspires confidence in thier abilities.
I have a 2006 jeep liberty which is showing its age with about 225,000 miles on it. The service dept. treats me very fairly. Only paying for items I need not items I dont need . They advice me of things that will be needed done on the jeep
Rude staff. I told them not to do any work that wasnt covered under warranty without talking to me first. They never called and did some of the work anyways. Blamed a strong exhaust smell during city driving and DPF regeneration(main complaint I went in for) on a dirty cabin filter that wasnt even dirty when I pulled it out. I was also told I would have to pay out of pocket for a rental even with Mopar Maxcare warranty(2 other local dealers confirmed a rental should have been offered and covered).
Picked up my 2018 Pacifica from Secor last week. The overall experience was excellent. My sales Rep Sam Valdes answered my questions and came on his day-off to help get me out the door. The car buying experience can be long and stressful but Sams attitude took that stress away.
Rude, unhelpful and dismissive.Shopping for a car? After sale support continues long after the initial purchase.I would highly recommend shopping elsewhere than having to suffer the crappy attitude of theservice department. Be especially wary of dealing with Jerry as he apparently finds working with customers an irritation.Again - the extra drive is worth having a dealership that will support their customers long after the sale.***No need to contact me - the past interaction was all I needed to insure that I will be going elsewhere. Luckily there is another dealership nearby that is more willing to accept my business.I will be trading in y Jeep and purchasing there come the fall.
Mike in parts helped out in a big way, he went out to my Jeep to look at what I needed. We couldnt find the matching part the day I came in, he did some research and called me the next morning. Great Job

Al was fantastic to work with and the whole sales team made the experience enjoyable.
Very satisfied the away they took care of us great service
Good service and friendly staff. I did feel like they overcharged for labor though.
I am a nervous car buyer. I had a couple bad experiences at Nissan of Norwich, so I am always leery of what seems too good to be true. I was upside down on a vehicle due to poor judgment at Norwich Nissan. So I walked into SECOR dodge lot just to see what they had as I had seen something that caught my eye online. I was greeted by Sam the salesman and I was very nervous and apprehensive. Sam quickly relaxed me and I could tell he was experienced with customers getting ripped off at other dealers. Sam the salesman and Phil the finance guy really made my car buying experience a great one. I got a really good deal on my trade and the price of the vehicle I bought was excellent, I got a premium extended warranty much better than Careguard, even my loan officer of my own bank commented on how good the numbers were. I was so happy, I sent my son there to get out from under his upside down deal at Nissan of Norwich. He bought a car as well, the same day. They took both our negative equity vehicle and turn them into something positive. And John the Manager was accommodating and helpful as well. One of the best experiences I have had and I will be sticking with SECOR dodge for a long time to come. The service department is suppose to be the best in the area. They service all the public ambulances as well as cars from other dealerships. Try SECOR and I bet you will be happy. SECOR dodge is a real step up from the old Linder dodge. I will sing their praises to everyone I know.
Good selection great customer service
Steven Gonzalez in the Service Department is great.
I come to New London twice a week from RI. Steve and Pete always get me in the day and time that I need. This is my second car from Secor and I have been nothing but happy with the whole experience.
Greg T is the best!
Pretty good prices
Good service
Prices are too high on thier vehicles.
Good services.
