Cool shop with nice refurbished and new bikes. Repair services are quick and very fairly priced
Saved me on my commute back to my Airbnb. Had a broken pedal. Great customer service.
This place is great. Owner is super chill and knowledgeable about what’s on the market. I bought a bike here last week and came back in to buy a lock a few days later and possibly a wall mount to store my bike in my tiny apartment. Instead of pushing what he had in stock he suggested I check out Home Depot for something he thought would be more suitable for me. Definitely coming back here for all my bike needs from here on.
Theyre quick and friendly. I go here anytime my bike has issues
Fantastic service with good price and fast turnaround. Came in to replace a chain and they did it on the spot. They even noticed another issue I had (a missing bolt holding my cargo rack) and fixed it with a free part on the spot.
Very friendly and helpful! He was quick too! I will for sure be going back. Very reasonable prices too. Love supporting local businesses like this!
I bought a great bike here at a good price and they have been awesome about helping me get my child seat and rack set up on it. Great service!
Awesome bike shop. Super friendly owner, reasonably priced bikes and a free tune up within 90 days of buying a bike there. Would shop there again and this isnt even my neighborhood!
Helpful, friendly, low key. thanks for the great new bike!
Great small local shop. Quality work. Honest and helpful owner. Good prices.
This is a great bike shop. The owner is very knowledgable about all sorts of bikes and bike accessories, and offers extremely competitive prices for all the items
Love this place. They are always nice, prompt, and do really great work. Prices are reasonable too. In my experience, parts and service are much cheaper than other shops. They also have a great selection of used and new parts and accessories. My favorite bike shop! A++++
I do not recommend this place for any bicycle accessories. I went in and asked them for their cheapest bike pump and lock. They directed me to their $40 pump without even acknowledging their $18 emergency pump. They also acknowledged that their cheapest bike lock was not worth buying at $30. Why would they even carry something that they tell customers to not buy. The hardware store down the street had both these things at affordable prices.
Great service!
Excellent. Only been in a handful of times but theyve been very helpful. Even though Im just buying small stuff to repair things on my own. Excellent information
Not interested in helping. No inner tubes.
The guys at The Bike Shop were super friendly and helpful. I came in for a quick flat tire repair and to oil my gears. I got a tune-up as well, They definitely know what they are talking about. Ive been to other bike shops before where I felt intimidated going in as a novice to intermediate bike aficionado. The Bike Shop guys put me at ease. If I need anything else, Ill be going here.
This shop is just right. Everything you need and nice folks running the place. Expertly done tune up also.
Ive been fitting my bike over the course of 2 weeks and Ive made a half dozen stops into this shop. They are very relaxed and honest about what they recommend and sell to you. I feel very comfortable taking their recommendations and just letting them do their thing without worrying about them squeezing every penny that they can out of me. Ive found that their prices in terms of service and repairs are arguably the best in town; It may be attributed to the fact that theyre in a nice quiet uptown neighborhood compared to some of the other shops on magazine or frenchman.
The guy who helped me was nice but all I wanted to buy were some bike lights and so I picked them out and stood there with them while he and his coworkers continued to work on stuff right in front of me for 10 minutes until asking me if I was ready to check out. I didnt want to bother them because they seemed busy, though it wouldve only taken them 30 seconds to sell me the lights and get me out of the store.
Ive used this shop several times before, Im a bike guy, literally my living room is packed with bikes. Today I walked one of my bikes from my house 10 blocks to get a tube replaced and they said it was too difficult because it was a tandem bike with disc brakes and sent me walking away still with a flat! Some bicycle repair shop! Such a disappointment that this is in my neighborhood, especially since I have a collection of vintage bikes and was hoping to have several of them restored here. Do yourself a favor and dont waste time here, go someplace where they actually like bycicles.
Quick, friendly service. Best prices for bicycle repair in New Orleans. Ask for Aaron, hes the man!🚲
They got it done extremely fast, and for half the price of other shops. Conveniently located, friendly people, I will definitely be going there again.
Grest work at a fair price, brought my 70s Peugeot back to life
I go here pretty often. Prices seem fair and everything is really straightforward. Never been dissatisfied.
I recently bought a bike from The Bike Shop and the guys were very cool about it, they explained everything and were really nice. Though its a small, shop you can buy a good hybrid SE bike, a Big Shot bike, or a cruiser. There is a good variety of each, but if you want more variety just go to a bigger store like the GNO Cyclery. Nothing is too expensive for what it looks like, theyre very honest with their prices.I would recommend this bike shop!
Brought in my Specialized bike to have the front tire tube replaced. They broke my front axle trying to get the tire off, then blamed it on the fact that my bike is a few years old and wouldnt take responsibility for the damage they did. I had to walk my bike back to Tulane (about a mile) with only one wheel attached. Oh, and they still charged me to replace the tube. I now have to order this part and do the repair myself because they wanted to direct me to a Specialized dealer. In short, if they damage your bike, its on you. Bring your bike here with that in mind and prepared to have to fix an even bigger problem afterwords.
Great customer service. And very knowledgeable on bikes.
Excellent customer service
The guys really know there stuff and will help out almost immediately
Great service!!
I live on Jefferson Ave and I have used this bike shop once. Today, I brought my bike in with my injured arm and at the back door I was unwarmly greeted by the owner who told me to carry the bike around the block to the front door and not to park in the parking lot behind his shop....I was parked on the street. After hearing that welcome I asked him if he wanted my business or not...he said, No. So I left and will not be back again. The owner on both occasions, the first time I went there, and today was a JERK. If I take the time to drive the bike all the way to your store and you treat me like that dont expect me to ever be back or recommend your lousy shop.
Just called to asked if they carried something I am looking for. Guy answers the phone very rudely, then when answering my question he responded with a loud NOPE as if he was annoyed because he had to pick up the phone.
Theyre called The Bike Shop for a reason... They are THE bike shop! Theres no one else! Support Freret St. businesses!
