Love the staff! The optician is such a sweet heart does very thorough exams and is very patient to learn what prescription glasses and contacts works best for you. I always return to them for products and exams.

This is a wonderful practice and doctor. Caring and knowledgeable. Staff is amazing and they have a great selection of frames. Doctor takes his time to talk to patients about their eyes and what is needed to be done. They are very helpful to choose the right pair of glasses. Highly recommend.

Very professional doctor and staff! Thorough eye exam, and they were attentive to my concerns while other local opticians were not. Honest and transparent service. Great deal for Columbia students.

Unsafe location. The doctor had his mask on (albeit improperly as there was no seal above his nose). But the guy selling frames upfront did not have his mask on while he was sitting there fiddling with his phone. He eventually put his mask on, but by then, he had breathed out dozens of cubic feet of air and we know coronavirus is aerosolized and can float around for hours.

Guys, dont be scared away by the bad reviews, its currently well run and the doctor is excellent. I havent used them for eyeglasses but I had my eye exam and contact lenses done here and it was a timely, professional, and proficient process. I never leave reviews, but I had to leave this one because I almost didnt go after seeing the poor ratings.

John was the first person in years who understood my progressive lenses and why I was having trouble with my new glasses that I bought elsewhere. I can use my laptop again!

I made an appointment for an eye exam and went great with the doctor. I had the intention to buy some frames, but the service was terrible the lady who helped me had a terrible attitude, she barely responded to my inquiries, and I didnt feel comfortable trying the glasses as she made me think she wanted me out of there.A waste of time I do not recommend.

I didnt listen to the reviews on line. I should have. Not recommended at all.The manager is extremely rude (the guys are nicer). They didnt solve my problem, asked me to pay more, and slowed the process to get my records

Extremely efficient and job well done. I was initially reluctant based on the other reviews, but since we live around the corner decided to go there. Happy to have made that choice. Pricing is also more competitive that other opticians nearby.

I work in the area & was looking for a place I could visit during my lunch hour. Columbia Opticians was the right place. From the minute I walked in, I was well received. Monica & John are very friendly & helpful. They answered all my concerns & even helped choose the right pair of glasses for me. Randy is very knowledgeable & made me feel comfortable right away. My order took very little time to process. I was so pleased, I decide to bring my son to them. My son & I are extremely satified with his new contacts. Keep up the great work!!!

I brought in frames that already had prescription lens to update as sun glasses. When I picked up the glasses, the tint was incorrect and the right lens didnt fit properly in the frame. The response its the best we can do. If thats the best you can do, youre in the wrong business.

Had a wonderful experience with Dr. Allon Nejatheim. He was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The staff overall was welcoming and accommodating. Ive been going to Dr. Nejatheim for several years and will continue to return in the future. I definitely recommend this office.

In contrast to some of the negative reviews, I found the front staff and the optometrist both helpful and efficient, and I am quite pleased with the service that I received here. If you are covered under Columbia Health’s student medical insurance, you qualify for a discount (even if you did not sign up for vision coverage), so make sure you let the front staff know.

Horrible service, the people are mean and unhelpful.

Absolutely terrible! Poor customer service and rude personnel. I was also charged $10 dollars for a frame adjustment. Very exploitative.
