Absolute waste of time. The second they see your piece they immediately try to devalue the item by giving you excuses to why the value of diamonds are down. It’s clear they are strapped for money because their offer was insultingly low. Morris at the Bayridge location was especially rude and unprofessional. DONT SELL TO THESE CON ARTISTS. PERIOD.Edit: Just for reference, stopped at 3 other cash for jewelry locations. Was offered at least 1500 by all 3 for a ring Global Gold and Silver quoted at 250. Total rip off.Re-edit: in response to the owner response: your whole operation is low quality. You answer your corporate number with a stern “Yeah, what?”. FAKE silk shirts and oily 90’s hair. I didn’t want to judge a book by the cover, but you’re a bad parody of New York ripoff jewelers.

Very unprofessional. Called them in the morning to ask for a price, and we finally agreed on a price through the phone. Two hours later, I show up in their store and they give me some random excuse about how price dropped online and their purpose was to resell the items and then proceeded to lowballed me on my jewelry. Wasted two hours of my time going to the place just to flake on an agreed price. In the end, we never made the sale. Dont come here if you want a fair price and someone who will keep their words. Highly disappointed by the experience.

I never came across such dishonest, unethical and unprofessional people in my life. I went to this place to sell a peice of jewelry. Amit Patel and Steven took care of my transaction. First of all they lied to me about the weight. They measured the item at penny grams and described as if it was regular grams. When I confronted next day I was told that the item was sold and melted immediately.I know the NYC law mandate gold and silver buyers to keep it for at least 15 days before they are resold (what a LIE! they should win a prize on cheating). Be aware!

I went to Global on January 12, 2018 to sell unwanted gold jewelry. (This is my 3rd time going to Global.) I keep going back because they offer a high percentage of what your gold is worth, and they are very low pressure. As other reviewers have noted, the folks at Global make it an easy, quick experience. I hate bargaining, which is why I hate buying cars. (I really hate buying cars!) But at Global, you simply walk in, and sit down at a desk. They weigh your gold right there, and quickly make an offer. If you dont like the offer, there is no sales pressure; no arm-twisting. Id say the whole thing takes about 5 minutes. To those who, like me, are uncomfortable doing this sort of thing, I can only say dont be nervous. This is a piece of cake.

This place is awesome. When I was in need of money but didnt know where to go I looked up this place and read all the reviews. I thought hey why not try it I really need the extra money for bills. Right away I was welcomed by a polite receptionist and guided to a room to discuss what I had. I wasnt aware of what anything I had was worth and was given a WAY more than fair price. I went to Global to sell some old jewelry that had been gathering dust. Although the store was undergoing renovations when I first contacted them, they seemed eager to fit me in at my convenience. Sold a piece of 14k jewelry gold here. If you go to any gold buyers, it is likely that the amount that you value your jewelry will always be much higher than the estimate that they actually give. That was not my problem with this place however. I feel like the price wasnt ridiculous. Appraisal went fine. My problem was that the buyer said that once I leave to another place, the price I was given first will not hold. So I felt a bit like I was pressured. I came here thinking that I would not feel a pressure to sell but I did. Once I went to another place called manhattan buyers, they gave me a better price for the rest of my gold and even let me leave without threatening that they cant hold the first estimate. Hope they can change that.

Oshri Reuven, the owner of Global Gold & Silver is the most competent, kind, honest jeweler Ive ever dealt with. I gave him a 60 year old ring that had fallen apart, the stone was a mess, the setting broken. Most local jewelers couldnt or wouldnt repair it saying it needed a lapidary as well as a jeweler to reset the stone. Oshri was immediately responsive, returned all of my calls, and had the ring repaired beyond my expectations. It was finished in a timely manner, at a reasonable price,and looks better than it did when it was new. I am a devoted fan and follower never to use another jeweler again! Pleasant people but I feel like I was ripped off. Shame on me for not doing research, but Ive never sold gold before and was not able to think on my feet. He weighed the gold and came back with a very low price, which I took although I probably should have walked. He quoted pennyweight instead of ounces and I had no idea what he meant. I Googled it later and realized that the amount of gold I sold him should have netted me 3x what he paid, even with him making a 50% profit for the processing. Next time I will weigh in advance and probably avoid these guys.

Their only business ethic is to steal your money. I sold some of my gold jewelry to them. They lied about the weight and paid me at least thousands dollars less than what I could have easily earned by selling my jewelry to another place. Amit Patel was the sales person who closed my deal. When I confronted them about their lies for measuring those items in penny weight but telling me as if they were regular ounces; they started another drama promptly. First, they told me that they melted my jewelry on the same day I sold it. Which was another lie since the NY law mandate the jewelry buyers to wait at least 15 days before they can melt it. Then they started sending me emails about stories of how their company will be bankrupted too soon and won’t able to survive any longer. I waited few more months and they finally asked me if I’m able to show them the actual receipt. Luckily, my dad who bought those jewelry for me had the receipt with him. Upon showing them the receipt they paid me $600 dollars more. They told me that Amit was suspended and they were sorry for everything that I have experienced. However, I still lost couple of hundred bucks because of their dishonesty. But lesson learned! I went to this place after seeing their good reviews on google and yelp. Now I know that reviews can be fake and it’s always a good idea to do your own due diligence!

Call me back to meet then push it back to 3:00 then 5:00 then 6:00 then 9:00. Tell me to come meet at the store then the store is closed and theyre not answering theyre phones. Both Maurice and the other moron that works there. Why offer something if you dont really want it! This place is a joke.

He had no sentimental respect toward my mother as she presented her most valuable and expensive jewelry. They will pay you for the gold but no prices over the phone, you know what that means, if someone can’t give you a price of what they pay is always a clear intention of been somehow a manipulator, I do sell gold often to this places and I’m not so happy they way they handle a simple request over the phone like this, I love clear simple prices like I normally get when I call, that way I know where to go, you can’t walk to 200 grams on the street going door to door to see who pays better.

Went here to sell some gold and silver - I loved how professional these guys are. I find some cash for gold places to be sort of shady, but global gold and silver provides a professional atmosphere for selling unneeded gold and silver!

This guys just cheat you, i went there with an bangle with stone item of 14k, they offered me 200- or max 300$ . Thats very stupid, when I went to store 47th street the gold itself in bangle has worth of 600$ after weighing the bangle by removing the atone. So just imagine how much they cheat you when h having the jewellery with stones. They have attitude with the customers if u started raising the amount they offered.. These guys almost take 30- 40% of gold price in market that day. I highly recommend evwn if you go hear dont accept the offer, just go to Any store in 47st they give u more than these guys and may be they take max of 10-20 of market gild price . Please dint get cheated
